bitmain rocks! They fixed my order from unpaid/expired to paid. I'm really impressed with them.

They have a batch 2 out by April 10 - https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=000201403150259438234hgMrx380699 Just posted it up, so jump on it.

I ordered an S1 and got the expired order issue. Sent them e-mail about it, so just wait till they get it sorted. Those S2s at 4U are huge! Congrats on the folks that got one.

Omg how the hell you want to compare a machine which suxx 400 watt for 190 Gh to machines which use less then half of that power for the same hashpower
Fraking wankers stop comparing these, let your brain work a bit if it can.
I offer some miner for sale who use half the freaking power and people start crying i can buy a ant for less .... brainless twirps

Monthly electricity cost between 3 Ants and one Jupiter is ~$45/mo advantage to Jupiter at US rates (0.12).
Does not really matter for 3-4 mo of use if price difference is ~$2000.

It's also because you can buy an ant NOW and have it in your hands in 4 days for CHEAP. They have supply to meet my demand so I bought some last night. Nuff said on that.

Interesting add to the Pool Watch, apparently KNC is running about 7% of total network capacity.. I am not sure off the top of my head how the 5% commitment worked but they completely busted that is they are about 7% of the entire network..

http://organofcorti.blogspot.se/2014/03/march-9th-2014-weekly-hashrate.html

It is one of these things when KnC proudly says one thing....
There is still time to allocate these pre-mined BTC to Neptune pre-orders. I hope to hear something on this.
7% of the current network is much higher than 5% of Jupiter/saturn terrahashes, so it would be a violation of trust, at least for me.

Greed is a hellova drug, man.

Divergent opinions are a great thing. There are a lot of very talented, smart enterprising people involved in this. We all may not agree on everything and I'm glad that we don't, but in the end we all are trying to look out for each other. All miners have is each other at times - so HUGZ to everyone! LOL!
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 06, 2014, 01:02:53 PM
Plan B was just some media cover to give reason for the purchase of the data center, when really they knew the data center would be offered as hosting to their 20nm customers as they were near completion of tape out, or maybe taped out already Wink

Or, they built the datacenter for sole purpose of using for themselves and then realized that people might be able to do math and figure that the amount of hashing in that DC far exceeded their "promise of only hashing at 5% of what they sold." That might look a bit selfish so they said that it was a backup plan in case their 20nm didn't pan out. Oh my, the speculation is so rich in this thread which makes it so interesting at times.

In stock Neptunes jumped up again from 898 to 909. More refunds? Maybe.

I've got a few preorders with alpha-t.net, a Scrypt ASIC. I'm pretty impressed with their development updates (nearly weekly), along with a forum specifically for customers with all the questions answered, as well as their transparency with their process. It's too bad more manufacturers don't do similar methods.

I'm still keeping my CA batch orders. Better than BFL, CT, HF that's for sure. How they compare to Bitmain will really be a long term question, although I think KnC hardware will run much longer and be more profitable. We'll have to analyze that one down the line.

I have a thread on when the general memberbase thinks the Neptunes are shipping, and the majority feel it's April, which would line up the latest batch during Q2.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=384125.0

@Offtopic individuals, you guys should really keep on topic. Let's focus on KNC (I don't care if we talk about KNC conspiracy theories, facts, or whatever), there are venues available for other discussions.

april?! that wishful thinkin imo. i dont think they taped-out yet and from tape-out to production you can assume roughly 60 days. so lets say they tape-out in the coming weeks and need 60 days till the chips arrive. that means the chips arrive in mid may. then also assume that chips doenst mean everything is ready to deliver, you got to bring that thing to work somehow.
that leaves us to a delivered neptune in june, imo.

You guys know that if they had made any progress on these devices they would have said it on their site. The only news that they've dropped is about plan B. I really hope you guys get some hardware, but in all seriousness I just don't see them delivering anything by July. I think you guys are going to get 3T of cloud hashing as a consolation prize which completely sucks.

There are no secrets in BCT - tell us what you knows Joe
590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 01, 2014, 02:03:20 AM
This is still in their news section: "Shipment begins in Q1/Q2 of 2014". I'm surprised that hasn't been "revised" to reflect the reality that Q1 was just a teaser. Btw, who all still has an order with them? I've seen a lot of refunds here, so I'm curious who is still sticking to their order and why.

Here's some crisis docs that look kinda real - http://www.scribd.com/doc/209050732/MtGox-Situation-Crisis-Strategy-Draft

Not sure if this is real, but it looks like it: http://www.scribd.com/doc/209050732/MtGox-Situation-Crisis-Strategy-Draft  - sorry, more OT, but it has a huge impact on everyone if true.
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 25, 2014, 03:36:49 AM
Bitstamp price has hit $500

at this rate we'd be able to buy 20+ BTC for a Neptune refund

KNC better start production soon and think about giving us a definitive date of delivery.

That is the only sensible course of action at this time. Neptune will not mine back 20 in its lifetime

OT - but it looks like Gox just bit it: http://blog.coinbase.com/post/77766809700/joint-statement-regarding-the-insolvency-of-mtgox. Site is down and probably not coming back.

Orama peobably got waterboarded in koolaid after he spilled the beans on their "progress".  That was the last bit of honesty we'll ever see from them.

Do you have a Mac? There's a bitcoin stealing trojan out there: http://www.securemac.com/CoinThief-BitCoin-Trojan-Horse-MacOSX.php. I'm sorry to hear about your loss, man.
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 18, 2014, 02:00:54 AM
So, how many of you that did order a neptune had hopes of it going more than 3T? KnCletus said "if we are late we will simply give you a choice of converting to our online hosted hashing of 3TH from our facilities if you wish to" I know I did - was hoping for 5T, but realized it was all a pile of hooey.
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 14, 2014, 06:59:15 PM
Looking at the photo, confrontation on sidewalk in Japan, the MtGox owner doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who will do seppuku.
He's too busy playing Minecraft at work to think of such things.
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 13, 2014, 02:52:50 AM
No is speculation that they will do that, all we have heard it's that they are building a mine for the purposes of providing either compensatory hash rate to their customers if Neptune is late or if said customers would prefer to switch from hardware customer to cloud customer. You are adding your own spin on the concept to make it appear in a negative light.

We'll need some input from Swedish speaking members, but this looks like video from the new datacentre.

With machines hashing already. Mining the bitcoins to compensate the Neptune customers in July Biffa?

Not more than 5% though, of course.

Plan B really was Plan A all along. How do you all feel having the privilege of funding that venture?
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 23, 2014, 01:39:28 PM
@bitcoinorama any news on upgrade modules ?   Lips sealed
If the amount of people who have stated they are asking for a refund in this thread is a reflection of the overall mood towards neptunes, I imagine knc are having a crisis meeting today.

How to stop the refunds? Distract people with a sale of jupiter boards? Tell people they've taped out neptune, which will keep everyone on board for a few more months? Tell everyone they are definitely delivering in April and then announcing on May 1st they have a delay (the way they normally wait until a day after something was promised and announce some issue, i.e. 16th October, November jupiters) to keep people hanging on?

Or are they just so set on their future in the cloud hashing business, they don't really care about the small time buyers of neptune? They'll say nothing and give refunds to those who ask?

Their attitude to customers has been pretty shoddy since they started shipping in October, so will be interesting to see how they do business on this issue.

You certainly called it with the cloud hashing nepotism crap. That's where miners will get their hashing power in the future at least from knc.  You guys will be fooling yourselves to think otherwise. I really don't think they care if people get refunds since that's more hash for Sam's brother. So, as a businessman I don't fault them for going in this direction. Why deal with a bunch of whiney miners when you can just source to one location.  I personally think this is bad for bitcoin's future if people have to rent their hash power sice it takes the power away from the individual and puts it in the hands of a few parties. Time will tell.

Tigggger, could you remove my orders from your list, please? I cancelled them this week.  Thank you.
