241  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining Asics Technologies starts now Pre-Orders for 6TH/s Bitcoin Miner on: November 11, 2014, 04:44:17 PM
These scammers will continue to persist as long as there is dumb money out there to grab. Read the freaking forums people!!! When we all call a group scammy then think twice about putting money with them.

It can be utilised for any Scrypt-based application, including mining for Litecoins, Dogecoins and others.

This.

The fact that they even state on their own support forums that the unit can only function on certain pools is evidence enough that they are as aware of the fact the product does not meet the originally advertised specifications as their customers are.

Repeating their 'no refund' mantra and ignoring the fact that they are not even shipping a unit that conforms to the advertised specs, is just bully-boy tactics. They want us gone so they can dig in to that $14,000,000.00 payday from Creandum's recent investment.

Maybe it would be worth letting staffan.helgesson@creandum.com learn some home truths about KnC and what sort of company Creandum are showing the world they are prepared to go to bed with.

just a note they are getting around this by "blaming the pools" for not being able to handle their units.....so that is what they are saying/posting....the Titan can mine all scrypt but the pesky pools won't do so yet..due to their Titan being 'so advanced' don't ya know..that and the fact everyone is plugging the cables in wrong!

just got my unit..sitting here stalling looking at the box (unopened) .....should play horror music theme music to set the mood

(this as they say in the horror books ..does not bode well)

it is like looking at an asic mnfg 'kill all hope' kinda bomb...you just wonder what part of this cluster***k puzzle putting the DIY kit together will pop up and say 'gotcha"

I now go back to staring at my unopened box.....garnering fortitude...fortitude does not yet seem to be forthcoming.....

(damn it KNC you were such a 'saucy wench" when I got my Jupiter...why did you have to do all "ex-wife take all my $$$ and hope from me"......running off to a 'bigger miner setup'
(I feel so inadequate..who can compete at what is it 1c/kwh.....many toys.....I be dumped...)

from julie andrews "sound of music"  to glen close in 'fatal attraction" sheesh

*returning to my box watching*

get a match and torch it. at least you'll get some joy from that.

Wash, rinse, repeat scam. Jeez, what a disaster this whole thing turned into.

KNC plans for BTC domination may have hit a speed bump:

Proof of working device?

Folks, have you considered the likelihood that edgar and searing are the same guy using two different handles, dragging you into their little creative drama for a laugh ?

That would be really creative if true, because in the past they have posted tracking updates for hardware delivered to different hemispheres of the earth.

That would truly be a scary individual to be able to channel 2 wildly different writing styles and attitudes. I really don't like the personal attacks considering there are tools built into the forum to ignore people you don't want to see.

You spend close to $10,000 on a titan, neptune, or some other random shit that doesn't work - try this math:

Ticket from NYC to Stockholm = $774
A couple of beers to build up courage = $20
Bust up some KnC losers = priceless

Get refund the easy way

Cheers.

252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 21, 2014, 11:09:33 PM

"KnC generates bitcoin at a cost Cole says is “significantly below $400” per unit."

How much were neptunes again? 10,000 USD?  Shocked
253  Economy / Digital goods / Re: AntMiner S3+ Coupons on: October 21, 2014, 08:10:07 PM
You know these are worthless when we can't even give them away.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 21, 2014, 04:48:27 PM
Take it easy. Lets see some sort of legal opinion on the chances of such an action. All I heard from Magnus is to pay them $1,500 up in front. What are these fees for and what scenarios are on the table? Are there any further fees to be paid? Nova may well be milking us all.
Just think twice before joining, ask for more information on the tactics etc. Do not be stupid!

i asked him all the questions and the only reply I got from him is he wants $1,500 wired, no answer about how he will proceed, what grounds he will use for law suit, time frame. Where 1,500 will be used etc. I have been stupid once with KnC, am not looking to pay someone without answers.

It sounds mad scammy. I wouldn't trust the "just trust me" business model anywhere and especially not with anything involving Bitcoin. If you want to sue these people you need an EU based lawyer. I don't know what kind of flow you guys have but if you're seriously in the red here it might be worth flying out to Sweden and hiring a lawyer there.
255  Economy / Digital goods / Re: S3+ Coupons on: October 21, 2014, 05:53:36 AM
I have 18 AntMiner S3+ coupons that are for 0.035 BTC off a single unit. I'm giving these away, so let me know if you need one and what your bitmain id is and I will send them to you.

They are good until Nov 14, 2014.

Post your coupon trades here. For profit or free.
257  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: October 21, 2014, 04:10:34 AM
Since when is posting coupon availability a deletable offense? My post on Sunday to this thread got deleted when there are tons of other posts offering coupons that did not get deleted.

Arbitrary nonsense from an anonymous moderator. Let's see how long this post lasts...

moderator = ck, if you start a thread called S3 coupons and put it in Marketplace > Goods it'll stick. That's where the S1 coupon thread landed.

I added a thread here for it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=829979.0

I have some I want to give away.
258  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: October 16, 2014, 10:49:29 PM
Coupons are on the site now. 0.035 BTC. Doesn't even cover shipping. Gimmie a f'ing break.
259  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: October 14, 2014, 01:51:02 PM
I'll give that a go when I get back.....I know one of the fans is certainly pushing (the opposite end to the Ethernet port)

If I find them both pushing, rather than the other one pulling air into the unit, is it as simple as reversing the connector?

Not sure if you can do that or if you need to flip the fan? I have 1 miner from batch 2 and batch 3 and two miners from batch 5 all with no problems so I am just guessing at your problem but you may hear from someone else here that had the same problem as you.

Just disconnect one fan, unscrew it and flip it around. It looks like they put the fan on the wrong way. The fans have arrows on them that show the airflow.

Is anyone else putting their S3's on LeaseRig?  I have a couple on there and everything works great using the bitmain original cgminer.  However, if I replace that with the new cgminer Ckolivas posted I get very erratic behavior when someone rents the miner.  Things like low or 0 hashrate, it reboots, or otherwise just stops mining.  If I swap out Ckolivas' new build of cgminer with the Bitmain original it all runs fine again.

Am I missing something?  Setting something wrong?

chmod +x cgminer

Did you make it executable?
