Your link doesn't go anywhere. And the only thing on google is the vote for getting HUC on crypsty, not an actual announcement.
582  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MTGox deletes all tweets from their twitter feed on: February 24, 2014, 09:06:02 AM
Man, I really wanted to think people were being too cynical about Gox, but with their offices moving, ignoring customers, and now this...it really does seem like they're planning to run away with people's bitcoins. I'm REALLY glad they didn't approve my account verification last year when I was just getting into bitcoin.

Canada, men's and women's ice hockey gold medal Olympics champs!!!! Congratulations.  Yaaaaaa!

My most non btc related post ever. ha ha ha.

Don't forget gold both for men and women in curling as well. Canada on top of our sports, eh.
584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt Gox CEO resigns from Bitcoin Foundation on: February 24, 2014, 03:58:27 AM
What does the bitcoin foundation do exactly? So far I've only heard bad press about them.
585  Other / Off-topic / Re: Totally Off-Topic! on: February 24, 2014, 03:55:17 AM
The site is very fun  Grin
What's up with the forum bots lately? You see at least 3-4 per thread with their 2 word responses to a quote, extremely generic all the time.

Or four word responses.

woooo yes, woooo no

I don't think they're bots, though. More likely fifteen year old kids.

You're too kind. Probably just third world people.

Wow can't believe Olympics are over already. So short. Canada-Sweden game was good although the Canadians dismantled everyone. I'm happy that my home country got #1 in medals, would be a bit awkward if we didn't considering we're the host.

Not sure if there are any Jimmy Kimmel fans in here, but he pranked the Olympics HARD!

Kate Hansen from the States gave him access to her twitter account and he posted this as her:

Kate Hansen ‏@k8ertotz Feb 19

Wolf in my hall?!? #SochiProblems #SochiFail http://youtu.be/3qZA-xOeQmE

The media jumped all over it and freaked out.

The video was actually taken on a sound stage where Kimmel is shot. They recreated the Olympic hallway.

Heres the video from Kimmel, LOL!

What a stupid ass video that's not even funny.
587  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt Gox moves from their month-to-month leased office to... on: February 23, 2014, 10:32:12 PM
Lol, wasn't enough that they're in Japan far away from most of their customers.

Heroes of newerth, Bloodline Champions, anyone?
#elitistjerk

Played HON from 2009 to 2013. Community is too shitty though I so I got tired of it, but the gameplay is the best out of the three big MOBAs IMO. I played BLC a bit too but I couldn't find any friends to play with me so I quit

3 games in Solo FPS
Quote
Solo FPS: Half Life 1 & 2, Crysis

Half Life 3 confirmed!

btw, why not Crysis 2&3?

Ahahaha.

I feel like Crysis 2 and 3 are too simplified and dumbed down for consoles. Story in first one is also better, and I love the jungle island environment. Not to mention Crysis 1 was a big step forward in graphics.

Hell yeah for us, the PC Master race! Grin You seem to be interested in most genres. Playe both Oblivion and Skyrim and well... after Oblivion I became a fan of the TES series. Waiting for a sale so I could buy Morrowind. Some say it's the best of the newest TES games.

I keep hearing Morrowind is good and maybe the best of the series but I'm too lazy to try it cause the graphics look very old.

You missed out diablo 3

I hope you're joking.

Old school game
Age Empire II: The Age of Kings  Grin

Oh man totally forgot about AoE 2. Totally a classic, I remember playing that in a lan cafe when I was like 14.

1k hour+ /played in WoW... So gotta go with it - but only Vanilla and TBC were really fun, then they turned it into a game that my little sister would master in 24 hours.

Yep Vanilla+ TBC were the best. Too bad they decided to dumb it down Sad

594  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any Legit ways to make money online? on: February 22, 2014, 01:18:26 AM
Another method I don't think has been mentioned here...check out content websites like hubpages. I don't know how good they are right now, but I've made 500 bucks over about 3 years just from a dozen articles.  If I wasn't lazy and did this religiously I'd probably be making like 50+ a month easy as side income.

At the moment just a little bit of Path of Exile and Chivalry: Medieval Warfare/ Deadliest Warrior. I feel like my gamer passion is dying Sad

598  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ukrainian revolution ask for support in Bitcoin ! on: February 21, 2014, 02:33:56 AM
People are being killed on the streets ...  horror happening ...

Well... then don't shoot at the policemen. You attack the police and what do you expect in return? garlands?

The situation is FAR, FAR more complex than you think. I've been following it for about a month now. For starters, the protesters have been peacefully protesting for about 2 months prior to the escalation of violence that happened around January. The first major news of violence and property damage have been the result of the government-planted thugs known as Titushki, who are paid USD by  the govt to pretend to be part of the protests to stir shit up to discredit the activists.

Second, the protesters did not turn violent (and by violent I mean throwing rocks and molotovs, not shooting guns) until the cops began to shoot them with rubber bullets and beat them with clubs (this started happening about a month ago when this whole story got major traction). At about the same time, stories began to emerge about cops and riot police capturing key activist leaders, torturing them and killing them. Their bodies were later found in the woods with signs of torture.

Third, the protesters have not used any firearms until the police began killing dozens of people yesterday. And even then, only a few protesters are currently known to have weapons, only because they are being forced to by the fact that the government forces have begun indiscriminately  killing protesters with live ammunition yesterday.

TLDR: the government decided to crack down violently on these originally-peaceful protests. The protesters are just now responding in kind. The government wanted to kill people, now they have a civil war on their hands and they're responsible.

edit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DxkDiAcSF8  here's what the police are doing. The protesters in the video are unarmed, all they have is riot shields for protection and they're being shot at. You can also notice at least one person (kid in blue helmet at about 1:49) being shot and killed.
599  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: what if .... on: February 19, 2014, 11:46:10 PM
what if gox-staff is buying btc on gox and selling on bitstamp?

... and why did they never suspend tarding?

... seriously ...

This has been suggested many times but we don't have any proof.

I doubt gox will ever stop tarding.

600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN NEWS EVRYDAY! From multiple sources. on: February 19, 2014, 09:31:29 PM
I was actually thinking of making a website that does this but I don't think there would be much interest, especially with big sites like Coindesk already pretty much filling that niche. Personally, I tend to just glance at reddit.com/r/bitcoin and reddit.com/r/bitcoinmarkets for all my daily news.
