581  Other / MultiBit / Re: Multib versus Bitaddress, how do they relate? on: April 06, 2014, 07:15:05 PM
My Multibit bitcoin assingned me address: 1Jyjd19gHp1ZiERTD3dTJbBZFKFGyGiTjZ But If I use the https://www.bitaddress.org
1CV6gUhtKjucPEz9DJugWY8oDCfZAUNQtp , the bitaddress generates the latter new one. What are the use of the second bitcoin address if multibit has already created one?

Nothing.
I don't really understand what you mean, but you only need one address.
582  Economy / Services / Re: [WTS] 1000 Youtube views 2$ on: April 06, 2014, 07:08:35 PM
How much BTC for 1,000,000 YouTube views?
If it's 2$ for a 1000 views, that should be 2000$ for 1.000.000 views, right?

EDIT; Lol, why did you answer on a post from 2013? Cheesy
583  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] 3DS XL new or used. on: April 06, 2014, 06:55:56 PM
Why don't you just order it online yourself, or go to a store and buy it?
584  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best Anti-Malware and Anti-Virus software? on: April 06, 2014, 06:45:04 PM
Kaspersky or Malwarebytes. Both of them I highly recommend with the approval of computer security section of the scandinavian Flashback forum.
585  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitstamp closed my Account - no notification on: April 06, 2014, 06:29:07 PM
Anyone else experienced this?

I tried to log onto my verified Bitstamp account today, just to find out that my password is not working.

There was no mail sent to me indicating this.

I tried the "forgot password" option, entering my email, yet i get no mail sent to me either.

luckily i withdrew my funds some time ago, so there wasn't really anything on it.

Some time ago, someone used my email, he probably got from some other site i used it on, to reset my password. He however did not get hold of my email account as there was no mention of it in the google mail history of any other IP logging in.

I changed my password back to my old pass back then and logged in to just check. It worked.

To me it sounds like someone has hacked your account, not that Bitstamp has closed it.
586  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best place to build the Bitcoin island in the international waters on: April 06, 2014, 06:26:49 PM
Maybe we could get some concrete companies sponsor this project?

No. Bitcoin users can buy shares for the project. A total of 1 million shares will be issued. Each share will be equal to 8 square meters of land. (20% of the land will be held as reserve). The purchase price for the shares will be announced later, once the plans are finalized. The entire funding will come from Bitcoin users.
You are really serious about this project, are you?
This is as I earlier said a really interesting project. Here's a link to a similar project: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Utopia
We could maybe contact them and see if they have any advices on how we should move on?
587  Other / Off-topic / Re: can emotios be measured in a numerical value? on: April 06, 2014, 05:58:55 PM

Yes sort of like the numerical rating scale. But is there a way to measure it, as said in this thread, pain can be faked.
I don't really know, but this might be the answer? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolorimeter
588  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best place to build the Bitcoin island in the international waters on: April 06, 2014, 05:33:48 PM
What we'll have to do is either to sink a lot of concrete blocks into the waters until we have an island to build from, or build some kind of rig to place the nation on. Both of these options will be quite expensive, but I think it would be cheaper to start with the concrete to have some solid ground.

A 10 sq.km island can't be built on rigs. We need concrete pillars and sand / rock.
You could build parts of it on rigs, however that would quickly become extremely expensive.
But we'll need extremely much concrete and rocks Cheesy
Maybe we could get some concrete companies sponsor this project?

Yeah, I'd really like to see some proof for this theory Cheesy

My choice is Saya de Malha. Any objections?

I second that. The best location in the international waters.

Thank you. May be now it is the time to calculate the amount of funding required to build an artificial island there. I am planning for a 10 sq.km island. Any objections for that?

This: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-CFz9kYBJI
If we all watch that series we might get inspired on how we should do.
And otherwise you'll just get entertained, because the series is quite amusing.
593  Other / Off-topic / Re: Porn sites on: April 06, 2014, 09:13:44 AM

594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to bitcoin when the lights go out? on: April 06, 2014, 09:09:37 AM
In the U.S. we have had major power outages that last several days, see the NorthEast Blackout of 2003. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northeast_blackout_of_2003
While this doesn't happen frequently, it still seems to be a problem for something that most people want to replace fiat.

How does bitcoin today benefit anyone if that happens?

Paper coins that can be printed by anyone still rely on confirmation. Otherwise rampant counterfeiting would take place and the coin would fail. Anyone else see this as a problem?

The network is completely reliant on the power being on at all times for any transaction to be confirmed. Not only power, but it must also have an internet connection. Would you say bitcoin is centralized around these two factors?

It's a global network.  Non-issue.

I am not talking global scale.

You are missing my point. It doesn't matter where it happens. What does an American, Egyptian, German, Russian, Australian, Insert any country or people, do when it happens to them locally. You have no physical currency that can be traded, right? If you needed food on day 2, you couldn't buy anything from a neighbor or whoever.
Interesting thoughts. I can only think of Sweden (I live there) were most people don't use cash, but charge cards.
If something like this happened here most people would run out of money in a matter of hours.

A solution to a scenario like this would be to have cash for situations like this. From a bitcoin perspective we could print out paper wallets in shape of banknotes. That would require some trusted author though, just to make sure that the private keys on them would not be stored anywhere else.
595  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: Webhallen tar emot Bitcoins via BitPay! on: April 05, 2014, 08:27:18 PM
Det börjar med elektronikförsäljarna. Sedan kommer resten.
Förhoppningsvis så går det bra så fler försäljare hakar på.
596  Other / Off-topic / Re: A human civilization experiment on: April 05, 2014, 06:09:39 PM
This is not a problem if we live underground.

What? Oxygen will not escape to outer-space if we live underground?
Lol, I think he meant that it won't escape from our underground buildings Cheesy
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple vs Bitcoin on: April 05, 2014, 02:22:08 PM
The only thing I wanna know about ripple is where can I exchange them for bitcoin.

I got 30,000 I wanna offload
Sell and withdraw through bitstamp.
Another way is to sell on bitstamp for IOU:s and withdraw through this: https://dividendrippler.com
598  Other / Off-topic / Re: A human civilization experiment on: April 05, 2014, 02:06:01 PM
That wouldn't be enough. First of all we'd need an atmosphere of some kind. One way would be guiding asteroids into Martian volcanos.

I don't think that atmospheric Oxygen can be maintained in Mars, due to the low gravity. So we might need a continuous supply, to balance the gradual loss of Oxygen to the outer space.
It is possible, however, the low gravity and the lack of a magnetic shield would make the atmosphere disappear out to space much quicker than on the earth. However, it will still take a few million years for it to become to thin for humans to live there.

Antarctica is destined to be the greatest empire in history. Although the gods will probably sink it, they're giant @#$holes you know.
What are you talking about? Are you a penguin or just high?
Antarctica is way to cold for anyone to permanently settle there. There's no way for farming or having animals. The only food you can get is fish and penguin, so you'll die from lack of nutrients.
