981  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buy low/ sell high or buy and hold? on: November 23, 2013, 12:37:35 PM
Will you make more money continuously buying low and selling high or just buying and riding the roller coaster up?
I did some trading a while (before I sold them Sad). It's psychologically hard because your brain cannot relax, because if it takes a minute of you might lose money. So unless you are really strong mentally, I'd recommend you just buying and watch it rise!
982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: are you considering / already invested in Litecoin? on: November 23, 2013, 12:19:16 PM
I bought some ltc when they were ~2 USD each. Turned out pretty well actually! Smiley
983  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you do with 25 bitcoins? on: November 23, 2013, 11:56:15 AM
I'm surprised so few want to invest in the future of BTC.

Do you mean donating to Bitcoin Foundation ?

Not specifically. I'm saying if you get that much free coin you should give back SOMEHOW. Ensuring the growth of bitcoin is an investment just like any other.
And that's why I'd buy my boat with them! Smiley

But who will build the roads and enforce the helmet laws? Huh
Maybe we could just drive wherever we want? And without helmets so we could feel the wind blow through our hair! Roll Eyes
The only problem might be to get gas.
986  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-11-22 CheapAir.com First Online Travel Agency to Accept Bitcoins on: November 23, 2013, 11:11:39 AM
Too bad I don't live in or travel to/from the US. Tell me when cheapair can book flights from/to any country and I'll be interested. Still good for bitcoin though.
Oh, they don't? Damn. I thought I could pay for my flight to Malaysia in bitcoins. Oh, well, maybe I can go to the US instead. Does anyone know how florida is in December/january?
987  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-11-22 CheapAir.com First Online Travel Agency to Accept Bitcoins on: November 23, 2013, 10:59:06 AM

You can make profit from mining. Everyone told me I couldn't... I did, even with just 3 x 333 Mhs usb erupters..... just got to play the game Smiley

I rent my 1ghs rig out on ebay and make way more than i would mining and then i can purchase BTC with cash or reinvest money in more equipment. I think there are endless opportunities
Haha! Sure, you can make some profit that way to! But am I right to believe that the profits ain't that big? Cheesy
Myself, I got one GH/s free on cex.io when they still gave away for life, but the mining from that does not bring in any big money! Cheesy

Yeah not big money at all... but you start with little and grow it into something big. and you play a longterm game.

that's the fun of it. at least for me...

Well, agree! Take what you can, give nothing back! We are in it for the long run! Cheesy

Anyway, I dreamed about bitcoin last night again. I had a company and I traded hundreds of thousands of bitcoins every minute, and then the trading volume increased, and increased, and increased even more. And then I woke up. Weird.
989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Standard transactionfees are getting high again? on: November 23, 2013, 10:42:25 AM
Yeah, I think so to! They should really do that for the next release! (if that's how it works, otherwise how?)
990  Other / Off-topic / Re: What video games do you play? on: November 23, 2013, 10:33:50 AM
I LOVE assassins creed! Especially Assassins Creed: IV Blackflag! I just can't get enough of sailing the Caribbean sea and plunder british and spanish gold! And the sea chanties are wonderful really, and the music in the taverns are amazing! Oh, why wasn't I born in the 17/18th century?  Undecided

Playing a game is far from different from the reality of the pirates of this age...
Yeah I know. Sometimes I dream about some kind of over-romanticiced ages like the pirate age!

More like Assassins Creed 3.5 with an actaul decent story. Roll Eyes
Well, maybe Cheesy
991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin on UK TV BBC Newsnight on: November 23, 2013, 12:04:19 AM
I believe they wanted to tell people "bitcoins are bad cuz' u can do bad things with them". It really felt that way, and the presenter did not really want to listen to Max.
Max, however did a good job the few moments he actually had a chance to speak about bitcoin!
992  Other / Off-topic / Re: awesome pics on: November 22, 2013, 11:18:55 PM
Wow, those are some truly amazing pictures!
993  Other / Off-topic / Re: If everybody rode motorcycles the government would collapse on: November 22, 2013, 11:12:23 PM
If everyone rode motorcycles, the people would gain control of their rights.

And everyone would be happy.  We would have world peace.
Are you drunk?
Please explain to me! Cheesy

you need minimum 100 posts for this bonus less then 100 not eligible for this bonus  Sad
No, I think he won't send 0.01 to me in advance unless I have 100 posts, so to get paid I have to keep it on my sig for 30 days (and preferably make a lot of posts). Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong tho. It would feel quite unnecessary to advertise for a service and don't get paid!

996  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you had any dreams about BTC? on: November 22, 2013, 10:11:02 PM
i just had one last night.. i dreamed that i was somehow given a home to stay in (with a secret attic room). the house feel eery, like a ghost lived there.

i also dreamed that, in addition to having the house, i had more bitcoins than i really do.. which made me happier. i probably think about BTC so much that it has seeped into my dreams.
Yeah, I've dreamed a lot about btc too since I started using it. Usually in them I sit in front of my computer and realize I have like 300 btc or something! And then I wake up and realize I don't even have 0.1  Cry

I'd hold and wait for a while, until the day i can buy a nice, big boat/ship with them in btc!  Smiley
(Then I'd sail the world around, to bad that is just a dream at the moment!)

999  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IT support for BTC idea? on: November 22, 2013, 05:34:49 PM
You could start a small it-support company and accept bitcoin as a payment method! The only problem is that there are lots of online it-supports already. It might be worth a shot though! Smiley

Yes but not the kind that accepts bitcoins.
The only problem that comes to my mind is that someone that can pay with bitcoins is probably tech savvy to deal with IT problems.

Indeed, that is what I was thinking too Wink I will keep on brainstorming to find something that I can do, where people can reward me with BitCoins.
All ideas are welcome!

Things that I don't want:

  • Gamble with my bitcoins
  • Faucets
  • Get people to use my referral links to make money
You could open up a webshop that accepts Bitcoins (if you have anything good to sell, that is!) Smiley
1000  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SHAME THREAD on: November 22, 2013, 05:28:38 PM
I'm ashamed of myself.
Simply because I missed out on the early days of bitcoin even though I used to see posts about it all over the net.
I was too busy getting laid instead of getting paid. I could be rich right now because I first heard of bitcoin in 2010.
When it was still young. I thought it was like second life lindens or some shit. virtual currency was a joke or gimmick in my mind.
Now the jokes on me. I'm a Digital Dude. I even update my firmware, however I let my knowledge go to waste not taking BTC seriously.
I just recently stopped looking and watching bitcoin and bought in. I was already too late to the party. I am still enjoying myself nonetheless.
I must admit that I am quite a bit butthurt that I slept on bits when they were $12.
I could be driving a Tesla model s past the gas station right now instead of a crappy Toyota Corolla into it.
Now I believe in bitcoin 300%.
I bought in @ $167 and now they're almost $800.
FACEPALM.
I need to make friends with rich bitcoin nerds and learn how to @ least become a Satoshi-naire  Cry LOL
If you wanna help a brotha out my address is in my sig.
but for right now all I can do is try to sell beats for bitcoin with my po boy ass.
I made this thread for all BTC noobs to come share their pain.
"YOU ARE NOT ALONE, I AM HERE WITH YOU."-Micheal Jackson
LMAO Grin

I feel you. First heard of Bitcoin early 2011, but I didn't invest because I found it to be to much work (well, I didn't look really close, I just read some technical stuff about it and I didn't understand much), but I heard of it again in late 2012 and even though I haven't invested I find it to be fascinating and I believe in bitcoin. I still though regret that I didn't invest in 2011, or atleast in 2012! Sad
