2. You must send the funds from your multibit wallet to your Bitcoin-QT wallet!
This is the easiest solution, but getting multibit private keys and importing to Bitcoin-QT works as well, but bit harder Last time I tried importing multibit private keys to Bitcoin-QT it did not work?

I think (hope) it only applies to new posters, after a few posts hopefully it doesnt do that anymore.
I really hope that as well! Probably because people new to Bitcoin will start asking questions that have been asked a million times, like "What if I alter the code of Bitcoin to give myself more money" or things like that. Or "What if I generate the same address as someone else"
Yeah, but they will ask those questions with or without waiting times of 360 seconds, don't you think?

im new obviously and im trying to get my hands on my first bitcoin and all the websites give me a insignificant number which is never ganna get me to where I want to be. help anyone? any cool sites or vids to get me free btc's thanks! You could join a lot of "free" bitcoin sites and use you referral links to attract others! You will hardly get anything this way, this is even worse option than using the free faucets yourselves. Agreed. It's going to be very difficult for someone to get roughly 700$ without contributing value in some traditional sense. It depends how much effort you are willing to put in it! An easier way would be to get a real job and buy bitcoins for your pay, but that was not the question. He/she asked for ways to earn one btc.

See you all in space (in a couple of years)!

You can make profit from mining. Everyone told me I couldn't... I did, even with just 3 x 333 Mhs usb erupters..... just got to play the game I rent my 1ghs rig out on ebay and make way more than i would mining and then i can purchase BTC with cash or reinvest money in more equipment. I think there are endless opportunities Haha! Sure, you can make some profit that way to! But am I right to believe that the profits ain't that big? Myself, I got one GH/s free on cex.io when they still gave away for life, but the mining from that does not bring in any big money!

You could start a small it-support company and accept bitcoin as a payment method! The only problem is that there are lots of online it-supports already. It might be worth a shot though!

I would just buy bitcoin from some exchange instead of buying it. Big profits from mining is hard to make nowadays.

Why do we have to wait for so long between posting? I mean, I totally get the idea with some waiting time to prevent spamming, but really, 360 seconds? Is that really necessary?

I'm not going to join the lotto since I don't really consider myself a newbie, but I want to thank you for maintaining this list, it has helped me a lot! (I would tip you, but I don't have much btc!)

From last 100 years energy cost is going lower because technologies (to produce electricity) are more eficient. I don't know why did you assume that energy cost will skyrocket (?).
We will eventually run out of fossil fuels, so I guess that's how he/she thought!

Has anyone noticed that the during the last couple of days Bitstamp's price has been higher than MtGox? For a very long time MtGox has had a much higher price than all other exchanges, why does bitstamp have a higher price now?

I think (and hope) that we have developed cheap renewable energy by then.
