It is looking more like you would not have to even worry about that as they do not intend to encompass mining pools and services.

Saw latest news item, just how much of the current guild hash is in New York would you say ?

I'm guessing very, very little.
So if you can't say for sure, then how would you enforce a new TOS ?

It will require an affirmitive "I am not a resident of the state of New York" and "I do not run any of my equipment from within the state of New York" before allowing you to register a new account, and existing accounts will have to affirm that within a certain time frame or else the account will be frozen.

I will also be adding IP-range lockouts for known New York IP addresses which will give a splash page stating that New York residents are forbidden from using the pool.
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: August 19, 2014, 11:09:42 PM
Litecoin is recovering today nicely.
I see though that most of the hash rate has disappeared from the pool.  That stinks.

Anyone know if it is just a visual bug or did we really lose that much?
583  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: OFFICIAL CGMINER mining software thread for linux/win/osx/mips/arm/r-pi 4.5.0 on: August 19, 2014, 06:39:12 PM
You definitely do not suck.
You have made one of the best mining software programs there is.
Because manufacturers have been lazy is not a reflection on you.
Keep up the great work.  I know I appreciate as well as the mining community as a whole.
You are actually the next interview I am going to pursue for mining software in the next couple weeks after I heal from my surprise surgery on thurs.

I also agree with your stance on the violations of GPL.
Name and shame start the thread.  I have also been starting an outline for an article about this situation.

Thanks again.  Smiley

That's the exact error message I get when I try your suggested --usb BXM:0

CGMiner misidentifies my Jalapeno as a BXM too.
I suck Sad

The code only allows you to restrict by the parent driver type, and ANU and LIN are both icarus (ICA) so there's no workaround for that.

BXM is however bitfury so assuming you don't have any other bitfury devices... restricting it as BF1 is the key there. (--usb BF1:0).

Unfortunately the name is based on the first device that had that parent driver and I know BF1 doesn't make much sense for all bitfury devices...

Anyway we didn't anticipate other devices would use variants of the same driver and hadn't worked around this possibility to date, and I kinda forgot  Embarrassed
584  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Antminer S3+ Batch #8 $334.31 - S1->S3 Upg / #1 Bitmain Distributor - 112bit.com on: August 19, 2014, 05:25:48 PM
Still waiting on Bitmain with them.
There is nothing Juan can do until they clear up the issue.

Perhaps you missed my previous post.  Either way, I'm not letting this die without a response.

If you can find time to pimp for new sales, you can find time to address this one outstanding issue.

What is the situation with S3 rebates/coupons?

Hello everyone,

When we were doing the first mass production, we found that not all of the S3’s DC/DC module could be stable enough to support the 478GH/s speed. After long time testing, all of the S3 run stably at 441GH/s, which however is 7.7% less than the 478GH/s we have announced.

So we decide the final specification of ANTMINER S3 here:

Hash Rate: 441 GH/s or more
Power Consumption: about 340 Watt at the wall when running at 441GH/s
Power Efficiency: 0.77 J/GH on wall
Power Supply: 12V DC
Size:  331 mm x 137 mm x 160 mm
Fans: Two 14038 fans mounted on both front and back ends.
Operating Temperature: 0 °C to 35 °C
Complied with: FCC / CE
Network Connection: Ethernet

Many of the customers may be lucky to find that their S3 can be overclocked to 478GH/s.

We apologize for this incident. We offer two options for customers:

1)   10.0% worth of coupon for the B1~B3 customers. This is the default option. (10% based on what you have paid for the B1~B3)
2)   7.7% worth of refund. We will release a function on our official website for application of this option. If you have bought from our resellers, please contact them and provide your Bitcoin address.

Shipping schedule updated:

Batch 1: The shipping will be finished in 14th and 17th.
Batch 2: It will be shipping out between 18th and 19th.
Batch 3: It will be shipping out between 19th and 22nd.
585  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2012 5 BTC Casascius Coin (repackaged, slabbed, loadable) on: August 19, 2014, 05:24:01 PM
OgNasty is public as well.
I understand your concern but I will say he is easily found and very trustworthy.
My dealings with him have been very well done and above board.
I have even interviewed him.

I know nothing is perfect but I do not feel we have to worry about OgNasty.

One of the reasons Casascius was trusted with private keys is because he published his real-world identity and address for the world to see. What assurances can you offer buyers?

If I buy a coin, load it, and the balance disappears some day, "OG Nasty from the forums" isn't much of a lead to work with.

I have the BFL 55 gh/s unit back up and running.
Hopefully now it will not eat any more PSUs.
588  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive BTCGarden AM V1 Setup [HD] on: August 16, 2014, 12:04:24 AM
Yes they can I have both.  I stacked them and all 6 boards run on one Pi.
I wish they would make some more updates to the software though.  I think they can get more out of the chips if they optimize it more.

AM V1 can be purchased without a pi, but a pi is currently the only accepted controller. Each unit should come with the necessary ribbon cable to attach the pi to the V1. You can control up to 4 V1s on one pi with the latest firmware.

Can you have one of the V1 and one of the V1X2 on 1 pi? I'm assuming it does not care as it just counts the boards, but I figure it's better to ask 1st.
-Dave

I don't know for sure but don't see why not - the boards are dumb to what physical configuration they're in.
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [CLOSING DOWN] ScryptGuild Auto-Switching Pool on: August 16, 2014, 12:01:06 AM
That is a great idea as I have such a tiny amount stuck there I would rather donate it to you.
I wish it had not closed down but I appreciate how you have gone about it.
Thanks again.

I'll probably add a button this weekend to donate/forfeit your balance just so the system stops counting it as owed coins.
590  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [11000 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+NMC, Stratum, VarDiff, Private Servers on: August 15, 2014, 11:28:43 PM
That is a really good deal.
If I had that I would load it up.  LOL
Then again I don't have the money to buy much of anything.

No but in all honestly, my host is a friend of mine with a internet / server business about 5hrs from me. He charges me $1 a month per 50w of power so for 1k watts I pay $20 a month. To put it in to a bigger perspective, hes hosting ~5 Ths for me at $100 a month so I can't complain considering what I would pay at home to host or at an actual host company.

All in all I only lost about 0.06 even though I was down for 16hrs.

Edit:

1Th Dragon x 3
Antminer S3 x 4
Prospector 200 x 1

That sucks.  Do they compensate you??

I don't want to wreck the mojo but we are rolling pretty well luck wise right now.  Knock on wood.
I am happy I hope everyone else is.
I'm happy but be happier if I didn't lose 16hrs on over 4Th from a storm yesterday where my machines are hosted bu I'm up now, have been for a while, so there's that.

I saw that.  This can be big.
It it performs better on the SP30 than cgminer you know Zvi will have it in there in a heartbeat.
My SP30 review is in the pending pile at CCN and I got to interview Zvi quickly for it as he was massively busy.
Pretty cool stuff.

The do test it out from what I understand.  I should have asked Zvi when I interviewed him.

GUESS WHAT I SMELL!!!

spondoolies support is a-coming!!!!!!

luke with in the last 24 hrs has posted a branch named minergate

I have been mining Darkcoin as well. With the new version of MM I get 1/3rd my hashrate back and it works nice.
Cool and quiet low power mining on X11.  I love it.
MM is so versatile.

looks like a very great tool. gonna try it out later.
is it possible to mine darkcoin with this soft?

Totally!
I have been mining Darkcoin for a couple months now.
Multiminer is THE shit!

Check out Hashfaster's Dark pool, very reliable and due to the smaller hashrate, more DRK per round is earned compared to the bigger pools.
596  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | POOL | COINS on: August 12, 2014, 10:10:45 PM
The pool is showing down and I also cannot get the NastyFans website up.
Is there a problem?

I hope you feel better soon.
I know how it is to feel rotten.
Take care and rest up.

Nice, remember to let me know when you are set with it.

Hi, I hope all is well.  Any news on the RPi case with the fan?
I am looking forward to them.

Just got my fan yesterday but I may have purchased too small of a fan...this thing measures 17mm x 17mm x 8mm but spins @11k rpm, so maybe it will suffice. I went with a fan that was readily available and fairly low price but also had good reviews for reliability etc.

I will be posting some pics up tonight/tomorrow after I test the fan some.

RPi is a fanless device, why would you need a fan for Raspberry Pi?

A custom request was made for an R-Pi case with a fan mount so I stepped up and sourced parts to design a case for such need.

Lat of the supplies needed arrive today. I am aiming to keep the price as low as possible.
Going to be a busy day but I should have this and a couple other projects wrapped up by this afternoon.
I have not been feeling so great these past couple weeks and have been struggling to identify what is causing the issues.
599  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: August 12, 2014, 12:05:33 AM
I wonder what went through his mind at that point??

"They brought the cryptocoin, and he asked them, "whose image is this, and whose inscription?" "Uh... Shiba's?" they replied.

I have one and it is a nice unit.
I like them.  Easy to use work as advertised.
There is more room to push them too once they get the firmware tweaked some more.
BTC Garden has been very responsive and when I did have a problem both they and CrazyGuy were very helpful.
http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/review-btcgarden-310-ghs-bitcoin-asic-miner-v1/2014/08/10

Just ordered my first BTCgarden. Fingers crossed it will all go smoothly. Has anybody ordered one to the UK ? how much was the customs and how long did delivery take.

Also i know btcgarden admin are present here. I hope you deliver a smooth transaction, I will be looking to order 3 more of the same in a few weeks. Maybe the price may go down by then also....Well here's hoping anyway.

 Thanks in advance.
