Network Hash Rate: 609.21 MH/sec
Why?!
Price $104, ratio Price/HashRate = 1/6, few days ago it was 1/5, few weeks ago it was 1/4, in December-January 2018 it was 1/2.
You can't GPU mine zcash anymore. ETH can be GPU mined although there are ASICs, but it's price is falling through the fucking floor. Most other "GPU" focused alts are getting rekt worse than Romero, a la VTC. What else are you gonna mine? Edit: mine Wownero b42l8

That is a useful site https://onchainfx.com/On the right side of the site, can be selected more useful measurements. For example. Num Active Addresses (24h) Num transactions (24h) And a lot more. Saw this in tweeter also. How the fuck are they tracking number of active addresses in Moreno? They're probably just counting all the stealth addresses used over a 24 hour period. Go figure, they're all unique. I don't think so - the number of active addresses is actually six times higher than number of txs over last 24 hours. At least they're not making up a number for dollar value sent over the network in last 24 hours.

There's no airdrop bud. You cargo cultists are in the wrong thread. Mine it or buy it or steal it or do some work for it on https://funding.wownero.com/proposals

Hey, If the your token is officially registered with the US government, then this is very good news for the whole plan. This is a good sign for the development and attraction of investments. I believe that the token will be very popular and in demand.
It has been registered with the shallow state, still seeking deep state approval.

Since Wownero borrows from Monero protocol, it is likely that it will have the features of the cryptocurrency with a bit of improvement. Features such as ring signatures are already prevalent in the new cryptocurrency. You can be part of the Wownero team and learn something new about fungibility.
So I was reading through the thread and saw that "rings" were mentioned pretty often. If you or someone doesn't mind explain what rings actually are that would be really helpful. Ring signatures are a form of digital signature where the signature could have been produced by any number of people signatories. It was first introduced by bytecoin for added anonymity in a cryptocurrency, and is now used by Monero most notably. The higher the ring size the greater number of possible signers of the transaction.

@jwinterm. I do not understand. What would the difference be if Bitmain makes an Asic for a cryptocoin that is slow to verify using lowend CPUs and a for a cryptocoin that verifies quickly using the same CPU? How would more Asic proficiency differ between the 2?
Well, if you're going to "allow" ASICs on the network, then you might as well go with an algorithm that is very fast to verify on low end consumer hardware. Aeon pitches itself as mobile friendly - if you want to run a full validating from a mobile device would you rather verify blocks with sha256 or cryptonight? Aeon isn't quite as bad as Monero with the lite variant, but it's still not exactly a mobile friendly solution. It's not about ASIC proficiency, but once you decide to let ASICs on the network you might as well make it as easy as possible for other users to run a full validating node, which cryptonight is not ideal imo.

And this is how the great Wownero v. Diet Bitcoin wars began. Honestly I have no idea what is going on, but I hope Pablo Escobar doesn't show up at my house.

Still great expectations from WOW, legit and solid develop. We need the next bull run and we will be back to 2000 sat.
Mining without stopping for a second! Scam coin this coin is literally just a collectors item now. Clearly, sell all Wownero and buy dietbitcoin b42l8. Also, I talked to trade ogre and know what the issue is. Hopefully should be back online in a day or so.

Anybody know what's happening with WOW on TradeOgre... It's OffLine till when?
I've twitted tradeogre about this, they replied "hello, we are just waiting for them to patch their software". I'm not sure what needs to be patched at this point, I'll ping them and see.

@smooth. Would it have been better if the Aeon community just welcomed and embraced Asics in hindsight? I reckon the community might have acted in too much haste and fear to reject the Asic mining companies, that might bring Aeon to the moon.
@smooth. I would really like to listen to your personal thoughts in this subject matter if it is ok hehehe. I know I might appear to be speaking from greed that Aeon might have already reached $5 if Asics were welcomed with open arms. But I know it would not only be me who would like to see that occur. All of us do. I'm not smooth, but embracing ASICs for cryptonight seems stupid, imo. Cryptonight is very slow to verify using a low-end CPU. If you're going to go to ASIC PoW, you might as well go to one that can be quickly verified using all consumer hardware.
