581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: January 24, 2024, 11:42:15 AM
I liked the "third opinion" that no one puts a gun to the player's head to force him to play. Thank you, I smiled. They also say that no one forces a person to sit at a computer desk. Of course, we can control ourselves and limit our losses. But how many people do this? Let me put it simply: how many people even have a risk control system? After all, when a person is told that from now on he will play only for fun, it most likely means that he does not know how to limit risks. It's the same in trading. Everyone knows about stop loss and many other things, but not everyone uses it.

We always hear about those who can't control their risks, but in fact most gamblers, even if they in theory don't know what it is, in practice they are doing just fine. They gamble, they win or lose, but they never lose much more than they can afford to. Again, not all gamblers, but most of them. That's why gambling exists and keep flourishing, and no one fights it like the usage of heroin or crack.

Court sentences mother, son to 7 years imprisonment and what did they do? ~
Could this be a case of making someone pay for what they didn't eat or a case of double standard.
Bet as you can sustain and not allow your emotions have a better part of you.

I've read the article and realization of how hard it is to live for people without proper education is painful. Firstly, they shouldn't have risked $8,000 if they couldn't afford to lose it. Secondly, be they educated people they would know in advance that accusing someone of fraudulently transferring the funds from their account is a lost case. Absolutely. I will not be the first to say, by all means, get yourself educated, people. You'll save yourself from a lot of trouble, including reckless gambling.
583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You will do in this situation? on: January 23, 2024, 01:37:42 PM
A few days ago, my house was being cleaned. Three people are cleaning the front and back yards of the house. One of them was playing slots and I saw him. Actually, I wanted to suggest he try sports betting because I often see the guy watching football matches and he does have knowledge about many teams. So I was wondering if I could introduce him to sports betting so he could use his ability to predict every game he knows about.

Besides that, I just feel that if he deposited $10 = IDR 150,000 into a gambling site just to play slots, he would probably suffer a complete loss. But if he can place bets on sports betting, there is a possibility of him winning some money on small bets. Wouldn't that be an advantage for him?

If you were in this situation, what would you do? Introduce him to sports betting or let him stick to playing slots. Yesterday, I just let it go but we still often meet at other activities.

First off, your friend should understand that the probability of him making money through gambling is lower that him losing. Gambling is here for entertainment, not to earn money through it. And you can have fun with playing slots or doing sports betting or both, it doesn't matter much. The main idea is to enjoy it. What would I do in your situation? Nothing. Because you can't guarantee that he will enjoy sports betting more than playing slots.

many gambling addicts have lost their minds because their desire to continue gambling overpowers their common sense, hence the importance of "gambling responsibly"
~

Yes, those cases provided by you are examples of disgusting behaviour, and since there billions of gamblers around the world, we van find many of similar cases in the world of gambling. You can find a lot of equally disgusting cases in the world of food eating too. That's what happens when you explore the realm of some popular activity, and, unfortunately, it will always be like this, I'm afraid. But those are exceptions. Most people gamble responsibly, and even those who are addicted, don't resort to such terrible things.

If you know the answer, guys, hurry up. I earned $30 this way recently and I hope to win again. Smiley
Yeah some people might recognize it in the first glance but for me personally it's hard to guess in this manner but will still try to see if I can have this easy $30 from the Roobet by guessing this one and thanks for sharing it here. You might win this time also hope for the best.

Trust me, it's much easier than the challenges "Guess the slot" from Roobet, run here 2-3 years ago. And still many, including myself, had managed to win hundreds of USD in those challenges.

By the way, new contests are on. This is just one of them:

Check out Roobet's twitter page yourself. Good Luck!

I agree with the latter. Although it is true what danherbias07 said (if casinos played in the same conditions as gamblers, most of them would eventually go bankrupt), that's indeed also the reason why they must set a hedge in order to survive.

Legit casinos are not rigged: rigged casinos are those who cheat and behave illegally. It's the same with banks: they will always win money in the end, that's how it works, but only those who set illegal rates or write illegal clauses in their contracts are rigged.

Another thing is that you may not like banks, or casinos. In that case, you may not have an alternative to use banking services, but nobody is forced to gamble.

Why? If conditions were exactly the same, it would be 50/50 and only 50% of the casinos would go bankrupt eventually, not most of them. But I think I know what you mean. The expenses on keeping the casino. Indeed, casinos wouldn't survive if conditions were the same because they would have to pay rents, salaries etc. and would go bankrupt eventually. That's why they need the house edge.

I'm wondering, can there be a casino that survives thanks to advertisers and keeps the house edge at zero?

I am aware that you consider that Trump does not have as many chances to become the president again as so many people suggest on the internet and outside of the internet, but one cannot ignore how Trump is not only popular as a public Figure , he has managed to accumulate political power even without holding any office at the time being.
Sure, previous polls gave winning numbers to Republicans and they ended up lossing, specially in the midterm elections, those are the same polls which speak favorably about Trump. It makes me think those polls may not longer represent reality to an extent they are not useful to predict anything anymore or people does not answer with honesty when asked about their prefered candidate for the Presidency.
Anyways, I am not saying he is going to win,.but I am more careful when comes to say he does not have a chance. Because to me it seems he does...

I agree with you, he does have a chance. According to gamblers, he is 1.5x more likely to win the elections than Biden

and that can't be completely ignored. As a citizen of Ukraine, a country that highly depends on US support, I'm ready for his win because I'm sure under him the support will not stop. As a gambler I'm ready too because I didn't actually place any bets on Biden. I would, but the multiplier has been always too small for me.
588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do i handle my first gambling experience on: January 22, 2024, 01:09:17 PM
Hello senior citizens and my fellow newbies gambler's, now I gat a straight forward question for you all.
How do I prepare myself for my first gambling experience?
What are the things I should expect as a first time gambler?
How do we react to my first gambling results be it winning or lose?
Thank you all for your helpful opinions.

Hello there. First, you should allocate some funds for your gambling. I suggest you to not think a month ahead or a week, rather think of a single day, the day you want to gamble. It can be different sums of money later, but for the first day I would suggest something from $5 to $10. Be ready to lose it all, that's the main rule of gambling, but, of course, I wish you to win something big. Only don't get addicted after a big win in your first try. Wink Don't raise your stakes afterwards. Just keep having fun with the smallest bets possible.

All jobs should have a competent and correct salary that is given, especially if the job offered is difficult, I hope to make sure that the salary is fair enough, because sometimes other businessmen who hire workers, they take too much advantage of the employees who apply because they know that they can't refuse because they really need a job,  but maybe that's the trend when it comes to business, but at least they have consideration for their workers and I hope they see their employees effort and hard work.

Some employers want to pay the employees as little as possible, but fortunately the market makes them to pay fair salaries whether they want it or not. If you good specialists working in your firm, you must provide them with decent pay. If you don't want to pay you shouldn't expect good specialists working for you.

591  Economy / Economics / Re: Price Regulatory Mechanisms: The Solution to the Economic Hardship in Countries on: January 22, 2024, 11:25:42 AM
I don't know, I think when a government resorts to price controls, it's never a good idea. What government should do is keep the streets clean from garbage and criminals. They should ensure that nobody from the government officials is stealing from the state. But economy itself should be regulated by the government as little as possible. The market should regulate it.
592  Economy / Gambling / Re: QuitGamble.com - Free Help for Problem Gamblers on: January 22, 2024, 10:44:03 AM
The question that keeps coming up in my mind is, do addicts change if they are not willing to change?
This is an excellent question. The answer is very simple which is, nobody can force you to change. To change, you must first determine in your mind that there is a need for it. When you decide to change, the process is easy as you will turn to behaviours that would help you not relapse.
~

This true, nobody can force you to change, but there are words, the right words, that can be said to you that will help you to come to conclusion that change is what you need. Good professionals know those words and that's why it's important to turn to them as soon as possible. Your close ones may wish you only good but they lack the knowledge of how to nudge you into taking the right steps. If someone wants to get rid of gambling addiction of their own free will, that's good, but if some doesn't have those intentions, there are still methods that can help him/her.
593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: January 21, 2024, 01:34:37 PM
There's actually nothing wrong with playing at work. It all depends on what you play and what kind of work you actually have. Of course, if you are a neurosurgeon and are performing a complex operation on a patient, then you will not be able to play at this time. You will also not be able to play while driving a car. Although I have heard of people placing sports bets in a car while they were standing at an intersection at a traffic light.
But if you have long natural breaks at work that there is nothing to fill and your work does not require too much responsibility, then nothing prevents you from playing during the break. But I would not recommend playing for money.

Well, it's not gambling then, is it? If you are not betting your money you can easily forget about it right away and keep doing your main job. It will hardly be the case if a serious amount of money is at stake. Then you will be thinking of it even when you are not on a gambling site and it can be distractive. If you don't recommend playing for money, in short, you don't recommend gambling at work, I would say.
594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alter Ego In Gambling on: January 21, 2024, 12:29:39 PM
I think yes. In real life, I'm very practical in terms of finance, that I don't usually spend on everything that I see. Be it food in the streets, shirts in the mall, some unnecessary items in the grocery, etc... . But I'm quite amazed on how I can spend a lot of money in gambling. By that, I regret too, and question my self on why I can't do that outside or at least spend small with them?

I'll tell you from my own experience. Gambling has taught me to be more relaxed when it comes to spending $2-$3 on street food. Previously, even if I was hungry, I thought it's too much for a snack, I'd better eat something at home. And now I think, "I can lose those $3 on slots in less than 2 minutes easily, even betting with the smallest amount possible. So, I think I can afford it." And my life has become happier. Smiley

I only want to earn small profit in gambling but it's just that it won't happen when I badly needed it. As a result, I keep coming back to recover what I previously lost, only to see that the result are still the same. Risking small in gambling can still give us a big win if we are lucky. We only need to choose the right game for it. But the chance of getting them is even slimmer than usual, and this can still make someone else to bet more.

Just don't do that. It's always a bad idea, trying to recover anything through gambling.

596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: January 21, 2024, 11:17:14 AM
~
Casinos do not need to force gamblers to spend 5 minutes reading the ToS because it depends on the wishes of each gambler. The important thing is that the casino has provided ToS, which are the rules of the casino so that every gambler can know the rules and not try to break them, whether intentionally or unintentionally. And casinos have advised gamblers to make sure they know the rules before starting to gamble but if gamblers choose to wait to read the rules, that's up to the gamblers.

Yes, that happens to many gamblers because they ignore reading the ToS, so it will only give them problems. It is a valuable lesson for any gambler who has yet to start reading the rules to realize that the rules in the casino are to ensure that no gambler breaks the rules.

Of course in a casino that is big enough, there will be many of those trying to break the rules, but the probability of them succeeding is extremely small. And if they are doing it unintentionally, they will not be able to withdraw their funds, most likely.

I'd say it takes more than 5 minutes to read those ToS, but it's definitely worth it.

yeah... I know that, because I'm just starting to explore more advanced class about slots and for me this is just the beginning. because I'm still a baby, maybe I'll share a big multiplier someday.

~

Yes, I sincerely wish you that, mate. Actually, it's only about trying. If you try you'll hit much bigger multiplier one day, I'm sure.

~

I think it is very difficult to get big wins on Blade & Fangs, I always get bad results from that slot machine. The respins are always bad and the freespins are often bad, it's been a long time since I played the Blade & Fangs slot machine. But you can get a good win there, cool guys
~

It's just your experience, man. The max win on Blade & Fangs is 5,000x, so, it's possible for you too to hit it one day. But I know what you mean by "freespins are often bad". Indeed, I myself had a multiplier below 20x several times on their free spins. And that is unusually small multiplier for free spins I must say.
598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one did you use to gamble with more on: January 20, 2024, 01:40:08 PM
~

Prematch and live game are good to bet on. I do make betting most on prematches but also place some live bet base on the outcome of the match during the match. Imagine a match where I expect over2.5 still playing 0-0 after half time. I may play a live game of over1.5 on them since by that time their odds will be highly encouraging and the chance of winning that great odd is high since it a game that almost everyone is expecting more than 2 goals.

That was before the match had started, right? If after half-time of the game the score is 0-0, the odds for over 1.5 will not remain the same. Rather, they will drop compared to what they were before the match had started and will be not that attractive. Also, scoring 3 goals in the last half is not something unusual, so, you might still win with your initial bet. I wouldn't change anything in that case, to be honest.
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: January 20, 2024, 01:01:53 PM
~

I've read some few articles about the streamers and gambling platforms and noticed that the casino is responsible for the money the streamer spends gambling. So, in that scenario even if the casino is not offering them a winning privilege, which we know some gets a privilege, the streamer gambles with an ease mind, because the money doesn't belong to him. A lot of them lose out huge amount of money while streaming and viewers see this, the thing is that people only talk about those who hardly win, due to their deal with the casino. The only deceit streamers have on viewers is the big amount they wager, which helps them win big. It affects the viewers to gamble huge amount of money and win just like the streamer. Also, these streamers are not just inexperienced gamblers, they have some nice strategy they utilize to increase their winning chances.

I don't know about any "privilege". What are you talking about? You mean, slots might be be adjusted(rigged) to favour that particular player? Who among decent slot providers will allow that? And those streamers are usually playing games by known providers, not some in-house games, right? Also having some "nice strategies" to increase winning chances in purely luck-based games sounds suspicious to me. But I think you are right regarding casinos giving them the money to play.
600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: January 20, 2024, 12:32:24 PM

Responsibility always starts from what we can do in a given moment, for example if we are waiting for things to turn out well in a casino, then we can do it, always in a casino things will be good for them, because they are accustomed to winning, it is a bussiness, it is a company and its advantage is within the framework of legality, so nothing here, that is its way of playing things and doing everything well, plus we as players Accept all this, so it is not that we they steal or the casino sells and leaves us with nothing, no, things will always be handled this way for the best, and not so that the epronas begin to think that the caisno are the ones who bring Addictions, the caisnos are bad, they are diabolical , and All those things that many people believe are the way they are, we must always focus on the reality of things and how they can be done and solve Everything, it is the right thing to do and that is the way to go, I think there is no other way to do it. .

Yes, it's kinda stupid to think like that. Some people are addicted to eating and it's a disaster for them, but should we blame food industries? Same with alcohol beverages and other stuff. Service providers should not be responsible for the abuse of the service. It's the users that abuse it who are to blame.
