I was Friday on the train station and there was an announcement that people only could buy tickets with coins (because the NS doesn't accept bills in their ticket vending machines). Count that up to the fact that PIN on average doesn't work two times a year.... recipe for financial disaster. |

Not a chance. What government would want the accountability and responsibility that goes with operating in a non-inflating currency environment? A government with the pirate party in power, elections are next year, does the foundation have a plan for lobbying the pirate party to endorse auroracoin? Elections are 2017, there are no plans for lobbying . Our mission is educate, advertise and get a dialog/adoption going within the nation. Again why are you using this profile username? Personally, I think Auroracoin should stay out of politics. Parties accepting it is fine though. |

It's overall a bit buggy and some translations are a bit odd.
Tried it earlier, but only a white screen (have that also with other Insight explorers (for other coins)). Any idea why it might not be working? What browser do you use? Both Firefox and SeaMonkey at home show this problem. Tried Firefox at work today, there no problems. |

There is many unknowns with AUR origins and no one knows who the original developer is. Same with EFL but EFL was confirmed a scam and same with AUR they have a community take over with a foundation.
Funny you made that comparison. Bitcoin was also started by an unknown author, who disappeared and there is a huge amount of pre-mine that has not been accounted for... you're saying Bitcoin is also a scam? As for everyone else: If you want the proof why AUR isn't a scam, check the AUR thread. Discuss AUR there, not here. None of the NLG dev team members are AUR dev members. Community members don't need to be dev members, keep the two thing separate. |

When you guys expect to share a gameplan for Aurorad Foundation ?
I already shared an idea i think is worth discussing - being targetting some merchands selling ''exportable'' stuff, so foreigners would be able to spend AUR to get goods in Iceland. A good opportinity imo. Iceland merchands would bring back AUR home, while sharing Icelandic culture - traditional stuff, etc (clothes, artwork, music, books). So getting officials involved would not be that difficult - everybody would win. Good for image, good for Aur, good for businesses.
I think that it would be a good starting point (after few conferences, booklets, mailers, etc).
Maybe make a specific topic on the official forum to discuss this in detail. Sure - but wanted to see first if this was something making sense to others here. I, for sure, would spend AUR in iceland with pleasure ! ''Export goods, import AUR!'' The only other option would be going on holiday there. I'm for more options. |

I did not know that it is known why Satoshi Nakamoto gave Bitcoin up. What was the reason and from where did you get this information?  sorry I wasnt folowing auroracoin very much, just wanted to ask, why original dev gave up on it
Same reason why Satoshi gave up on Bitcoin. Nobody knows for sure about Satoshi, neither do we from Baldur. But both seemed to wanted to do something groundbreaking, but didn't feel comfortable being in the spotlight for that (can understand with Satoshi... all the fanboyism that was here, plus maybe a bit of fear from groups that might not like his idea of giving people control about money). |

There is no way to prevent market fluctuation. Market take care of itself. For any dumper there is a buyer, they said. For sure having more active traders will help, so people can buy or sell without moving price too much. But it's not something that can be done on purpose. If traders see an opportinuty, they come. But then, get ready for a rollercoaster ride - and there is no way to avoid it.
I'm actually doing this already for NLG and have the same plans for AUR, but will be more difficult (so that will take time). |

I'm planning to ask AUR to be traded on poloniex.com.
Why do we need it? We don't. But as I hinted at in previous post, I want a healthy exchange market for AUR vs. BTC. Cryptsy is the main market right now (bter liquidity is low). A third market can't hurt, can it? Get more exchanges for AUR, it's harder for people to manipulate the price when you have more exchanges. Just get bittrex to accept AUR. Price manipulation will be easier if there are more exchanges (asks will be spread, but not much more, making it easier to pump the price). But I'm not against more exchanges per se, but against asking/paying them to get listed. Plus there will be a third exchange any way (based in Iceland). |

good projects and website's and the price of guldencoin is nothing
We're already 1 month between 400 and 500 sat. Seems pretty stable to me (including the order books) and could be an indication that people are actually using it instead of pumping and/or bag holding. |
