581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano (ADA) Coin - would you invest? on: January 31, 2018, 06:00:31 PM
Has anyone invested in Cardano (ADA) or has any information to share?

Coin Analysis by Cryptorated.com
https://cryptorated.com/coin-analysis/cardano-ada/

Yup, already got some investment into this coin. It has been in my portfolio since six months ago and I was lucky to buy it at way low prices from the friend of mine. He is really jealous on me because he saw how the coin has spiked a lot recently.

I’m sure that it could have reached more than couple of dollars but the recent bans and blood bath caused it to go into dormant stage now. I’m hoping that this curse will be lifted soon and we will see our investment grows like crazy.
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FB prohibits ICO advertisements !!! on: January 31, 2018, 05:31:13 PM
Creation of the FB pages will be prohibited soon because that will be dangerous for the Facebook itself. There is no way they gonna tolerate hikes of the crypto and that too in front of them in their own Facebook which they love most.  Grin

I’m sceptical about one thing, Facebook owner is not able to compete the market of crypto and hence he is not able to tolerate whole famous crypto thing.

In addition to this it might be related to jurisdiction, meaning cases might get filed against the Facebook for promoting the crypto businesses which are actually illegal in their own region. Good or bad don’t know, but they won’t entertain it in the future.

"We did it to make a name for ourselves in the country and the world," club chairman Haldun Sehit told CNN Turk.

basically this sums it up.
from what i have been seeing, it seems like many are trying to gain publicity through bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. not long ago i thought it was a rare thing that someone does something like this, but apparently the examples are growing.

And I belive that it is the right thing that’s happening with the bitcoin. I’m sure this news will now over spread everywhere and slowly come into the international market as well. This way new ideas will start generating in the minds of different sport player or even the coaches to reward their player. Again, they are in the news, the news is in the international market, and another cycle. Wow, that way we might just see some sparkling bitcoin sport! Lolz.

Just imagine if a big soccer club announced in the game that today’s reward is going to be 100 BTC for the man of the match. Dam that game would be the historical one and the market would be worth watching next day.  Cheesy
584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin loses its popularity ? on: January 31, 2018, 12:27:32 PM
Right now there are more coins available in the market which gives you more profit than bitcoin.
Bitcoin price is also not stable.
All these factors affect its popularity ??
What you think, still bitcoin is more popular ?

Im holder since many years and I have seen many feared people asking about the downfall of the popularity of the bitcoin just because they saw the dropped prices of the bitcoin and the instability off course. But lets clear some air here, the bitcoin's popularity is always ever green and it actually increasing in the exponential ways. This up surge of the popularity will come back when the prices of the bitcoin will start rising again in the mid way year or so. People believe it more depending on its prices and not depending upon what bitcoin is. If today the ETH is growing then they will run behind it and when they will see the downfall of it then they will run behind the another coin. Thats how the whole thing works here. Lets hope bitcoin will be back in action soon and then you will find its popuaithy regaining too. :-)
585  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the main reason for the bitcoin price? on: January 31, 2018, 12:05:44 PM
Because  news or futures or ...etc^^?

Thank you for answer Kiss

I am pretty sure its the heavy electricity and global warming that we have done by using the extra smart computers to mine the coin!  Grin

Well, obviously bitcoin is getting its value from he investments that we have made into it since the year 2009. People are putting loads of money into its market and thus giving the up direction for it to grow. FYI: Market cap reach to ~ 200B USD + recently and thats the source from where we are getting the value of the bitcoin.

Yes, the whole thing of demand and supply applies here too.

Quote
~
Because of us. Yes, we are the reason why bitcoin is getting its value. We speculate about the future uses of bitcoin hence we are ready to spend for bitcoin to hold them (as well for present applications like using bitcoins as a currency right away). So, it is getting its price.

Indeed my point.
586  Economy / Speculation / Re: Historic BITCOIN crash on: January 31, 2018, 11:00:53 AM
let me remind you of this, that this is not the first time bitcoin has crashed very significantly and is not the worst of it all. (correct me if i'm wrong) Based on bitcoin history, crashes occur on:

2011 jun- Nov: -97%---> From $ 32 to $ 2
2012 jan - Aug: -36%---> From from $ 7 to $ 4
2013 Mar 6 -11: -25%---> From $ 49 to $ 36
2013 Apr 10: -79%---> From $ 266 to $ 54
2014 Feb 24: -49%---> From $ 867 to $ 439
2017 jun 11-16: -36%---> From $ 3,000 to $ 1.869
2017 Sept 2-15: -40%---> From $ 5,000 to $ 2,972
2018 Jan 17: -48%---> From $ 19,783 to $ 9,496

If viewed from history, crashes often happen every year since 2011 and proved that this year is not the worst year of the year - the year before. What do you think, whether this crash will continue or not?

Okay this one makes sense but could have been better if you would have added the source to check the numbers in detail. Its actually pretty good effort that you made, its just giving lot of efforts after looking at these numbers!

Well, what I saw the very first time is which year is having the most downfall, and guess what its not year 2018, thats a big relief, lolz!  Cheesy

So the mega downfall was in the year of
Quote
2011 jun- Nov: -97%--->  From $ 32 to $ 2
and
Quote
2013 Apr 10: -79%---> From $ 266 to $54
so you see we still got very big window and can easily go through this bad phase we are going through. Loved your work man. :-)
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BBCOIN] If ethereum is sent from exchange to ICO directly (NOT from MEW).... on: January 31, 2018, 05:59:20 AM
If I send ethereum to ICO from exchage's wallet directly,
will it be missing? Will I lose my ethereum?

I sent ethereum to register and buy BBCOIN (tradove).
By mistake, I sent it from my exchange's wallet... not from private wallet like MEW.
Now what can I do?
Payment status is sill pending for 13 hours...

Mots probable you will loose the funds you have sent. The tokens needs to be sent to from the ERC 20 supported wallet, in your case you have not used the wallet but an exchanger address.

The exchanger address is unidirectional, meaning it is dedicated to the ETH token itself and you will not be able to receive the BBCOIN. tokens because thats related to different smart contract address. Exchanger won't support it and your fund might get lost in the process.

On the other hand your ERC 20 supported address for example, MEW address is such that it can receive the supported tokens on it.

Im afraid you will not get your tokens.
588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coins do you like besides Ethereum? on: January 30, 2018, 12:18:04 PM
I will choose a coin after a while. The coin is too much now. Which coin do you like? Please tell me some reasons. I will thank you very much.

You meant to say the ETH is very costly I guess. But know that with the ETH you have higher chances of earning profits as compared to other coins. Always look for the better odds than investing into different coins and then trying to increase the odds of profits.

If you anyway want to give a shot then you may wanna try SCL, JNT and IPL. Some of the mega ICO launched recently and the last year as well.
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MyEtherWallet Password on: January 30, 2018, 09:34:56 AM
I forgot my MyEtherWallet password. I don't see "forgot password" in MyEtherWallet website.
There's no password you need to retrieve when you lost in with your MEW account, it's only private key.
Is this means that I can't change my password anymore? Anyone have suggestions about this matter? Kindly share it to me please. Thanks!
Yes, you can't change password anymore as I've said and others have said that there's no password with MEW, it's a priv. key.
Actually, I don't understand why MEW ask you a password to give you an address, as it seems it has no use.
Private key = password.

Indeed.

Now what's the solution for you? It's simple, you can't do anything about it at all and there is no way to get into it now onwards. The thing is when you create a account you get notified by the MEW many times that you should save your private keys and keystore file somewhere safe. But people don't even care to read it and just rush to get into it.

While creating the wallet you are prompted to download the keystore file, so if somehow it is in your history or in the downloads then you could be lucky enough to access that wallet.

Otherwise there is no way to get into it.
590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about it? on: January 30, 2018, 08:42:32 AM
The European Union will consider the introduction of tough measures against bitcoin and other virtual currencies and anonymous payment systems after the terrorist attacks in Paris.

That's ridiculous thing which will ever happen. It can crash the market very badly because after the US most of the money that comes into the crypto is from the European countries. If they implement regulations and which are hard to digest then people might just go away with it.

However, if this helped ICO and projects like that which are based on the blockchain in good will or if it built good trust amongst the people then reverse effect can be seen where people will happily invest into bitcoin and grow the market subsequently.

Sometimes I'm very confused with the regulation stuff. It could either help the whole community in the same manner as if we are dealing with the fiat in real world. But sometime they could crap out the investment mania from all of us. Time will tell the truth.
591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in College??? on: January 30, 2018, 07:33:59 AM
I don't think so.
But it is a great idea.
If they do that there is a big posibility to recognize and legalization of the bitcoin in every country

The recognition of the Bitcoin won't be possible on the addition of it into college or educational system. We don't learn things in the education unless and until the editorial board allows it to add in our syllabus. There is lot of protocols that needs to be signed by governing authority so that proper stuff is given for learning.

Why would any official think to add bitocin into education system? They might just think that student will go to wrong steps, like they might just start earning from the age where it's not really required and they may not even pursue formal education in first place. So may be it's not the way it will work.
592  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Characteristic of trader on: January 29, 2018, 10:59:48 AM
Good list of the some bad characters that one trader should never have. Yes you are covering few good point here and this is quick tutorial for those who wants to start with new position.

However regarding this point here :

Quote
5. Doubt
Dont ever doubt if you think that is the good coin, just do fast reaction to make good profit. This doubt can be solved by doing good research before picking the coin.

It doesn’t count really because when you are going for the trade you actually have to go for those which you have studied already. So there is no question about POST-Studying them.

There is nothing like fast reaction, as you said with your 2nd point you have to be patient about it. ;-)

Quote
I think all trader have noticed those above characteristic but thats special for newbie like me and other newbie.
I am not expert so i can not explain it well and i hope any expert can correct and add others if i miss it.
I hope it can be usefull for newbie

It’s all right. At least you are trying. :-)
593  Other / Meta / Could be a glitch l Be careful on: January 29, 2018, 10:15:47 AM
Just noticed that after giving the merits to someone if you click back button at the browser then it resubmits the vote and send another vote to that person.

This may not be a glitch but thought to report it as it could lead to misleading merits.

I submitted the vote here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2833268.msg29046788#msg29046788

and when pressed back button most probably the vote was resubmitted. I wanted to send only two merits but it’s 2 extras now!

If there is anything that can be done regarding this like, getting error after clicking back button or invalid merit notification then that would be great

DONT PRESS BACK BUTTON.

CLOSE THE WINDOW AFTER SENDING MERITS.

Regards.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Financial freedom, is it possible in 1-2 years? on: January 29, 2018, 10:07:29 AM
This one is really nice post.

I think creating plans, sticking to them and executing those plans is the best procedure we should always follow. Many times people directly jump into the he field and start hunting the quickest ways to earn money. First things first, there is nothing like quick money making or egret rich scheme so we should never bother about it.

If we are starting something new then always note that we need to give time to that one. Greediness can always lead to disaster so better keep calm, and work on it as if the business is yours! :-)
595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 14 banks transact bitcoins on: January 28, 2018, 09:51:44 AM
14 banks in the Philippines now recognize and transect bitcoins.
What about in yours?

Seriously? What are those banks? That'll be a good indication to other country and of course to include other banks in the Philippines as you said so. Hoping that there would be a lot of banks that will also recognize bitcoin. Philippines is one of the country that doesn't ban bitcoin unlike China. Hopefully bitcoin will prosper on the said country.

Like BDO, BPI, metrobank, chinabank,unionbank and among others.
You can check this link http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/money/content/368421/bitcoins-can-now-be-purchased-in-14-different-banks/story/
Just stumbled upon reading stories regarding bitcoins.
Im hoping the same, banks should recognize bitcoin.
Hurra to all!
Hehehe.

I wouldn't trust the Op but saw this one with reference so it has weightage now. Looks like Philippines is going under revolutionary change with this one and many other counties and countries will follow them only if they succeed in the proper use of it.

See, the blockchain and current traditional technology that is swift are completely two different algorithms with decentralised and centralisation work nature. For the first time it could happen that they merge and accept the payment over blockchain and process over it as and when needed.

However the current affairs says different thing than the old article that you have shared here.

See this one : https://www.google.co.in/amp/s/www.coindesk.com/philippines-central-bank-grants-first-cryptocurrency-exchange-licenses/amp/

But it's mostly about central bank issuing license to exchangers.
596  Economy / Economics / Re: If you achieve your target in crypto field then what you are going to do next? on: January 28, 2018, 08:36:07 AM
I think you want to ask, when we achieve some sort of level with enough money then what would be our next step.

For me there is no crypto goal as such, what I'm doing is for fun and little extra bucks to spend on my family. Obviously everyone needs the financial freedom for life but I like to have practical approach with which I could just  earn enough and not dreaming to become Richie rich. They say that money makes money and I believe I just have enough to sustain quality life and will choose crypto to have extra bucks only.

Re-investing your assets, grabbing more out of the crypto and repeating the whole process is all sort of on going process depending upon your desires.
597  Other / Meta / Re: Successful approach to Merit System on: January 28, 2018, 07:44:18 AM
Don'ts
4. Do not use abusive words while replying to thread.
Why not? You would take away the fun from a lot of people who are, let's say, *very expressive*.

Hm, that would be still **abusive-very expressive**. I assume we can have fun in non abusive ways too! If you read threads created by new comers then you will get feel for how many youngsters go through this forum daily. I'm pretty sure that we don't wanna act over expressive in front of them. I'm just trying to help anyway, we can't control anyone in the decentralised forum like this.

I created the thread for new comers, but if we start arguing by all ourselves then they will surely come to know things are flexible here and might just start with wrong foot. Just an opinion though.
598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market cap is rising ?? on: January 28, 2018, 06:32:44 AM
Today I found some rise in total coin market cap reached 580+ billion still rising is that the good sign for next big pump. It was in between 500 billion last couple of week today it’s rising.

This is the time we get out of that stuck wall since December.

I am not sure what causing this major change but things are getting cleared up at unconfirmed transaction of mempool. So major transactions might have processed leading to few spikes through the market.

I have not studied deep over this one but above reason was the one which had the market locked down for many weeks. Rest I don't really know whether this will continue to rise or we are just seeing a temporary wave.
599  Other / Meta / Successful approach to Merit System on: January 28, 2018, 05:19:11 AM
Hello forum!

As we all know there has been some major implementation recently with the merit system and the purpose of which is to make this forum quality wise best. So it's our responsibility to follow the rules and make it happen.

However, after seeing so many threads I think many BCT people are confused, against the system and think that they can never achieve the merits. For such people following steps might just help, so please take time read it and enjoy the success!

Do's

1. Post in the moderate plus English, the highest level is always expected.

2. Post with adequate level of grammar.

3. Reply to a thread only if it's necessary to do so.

4. Create meaningful topics with certain outputs.

5. Always share the links when you copy/paste matter from the internet source.

6. Always right the answers/posts in such manner that it completely relates to the question asked.

Don'ts

1. Do not create threads/topics which already exists.

2. Do not post into thread where 100's of posts are already made and required answer is already given.

3. Do not quote others answer without any reason/argument/support.

4. Do not use abusive words while replying to thread.

5. Do not write 100's of lines if it's not necessary, no need to stretch your answer if it can be given in two line.

6. Do not use just no, yes, agree, indeed, whatever, be informative.

If you follow these things then I'm sure everyone will achieve quality posts sooner than we think. If everyone follows the same pattern then quality posting will become uniqueness of this forum.

Hope everyone will follow and will be that change!
600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fees are reducing? on: January 27, 2018, 07:04:00 PM
I think Bitcoin fees have reduced recently. Is it due to Segwit?

I'm not sure if that's true in the first place. There is no way such development can take place on that much short period. If that has to be true then there would have been movement in the forum itself.

Or that could be about the mega exchanger that was hacked recently and theft steal away 580 million NEM coins. This means that transaction over that exchangers are completely halted for the time being and this appended up the transaction which were halted for long time.

That's just presumptions but story and logic can be different really.
