untrusted. What does it mean?
It means it doesn't show up by default on your trust page. It requires enabling in the settings, or clicking a drop down menu to see the feedback. There's even a warning above untrusted feedback "These ratings are from people who are not in your trust network. They may be totally inaccurate."

thanks for the answer. now i wonder about the criteria for evilness. my IP was fine when i registered this account a few days ago, but when i registered a second account earlier today, this IP has become a bit evil Then accounts have been banned after you have registered the account or there's been massive account farming on that IP since you used it to register. If you are using a public VPN then the longer it's been up the more likely it is to have points of evil.

Considering the new PM limits haven't been stickied and are getting difficult for new members to find, you might want to consider adding this information to the thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2536728.msg25872334#msg25872334 (Or some variation) Activity | Max recipients | Max recipients if whitelisted | Max PMs per hour | Max PMs per hour if whitelisted | Max PMs per day | Max PMs per day if whitelisted | 0 | 2 | 10 | 1 | 40 | 2 | 120 | 15 | 3 | 10 | 10 | 40 | 15 | 120 | 30 | 5 | 10 | 10 | 40 | 30 | 120 | 100 | 7 | 14 | 20 | 80 | 150 | 600 | 250 | 15 | 30 | 120 | 120 | 300 | 1200 | 500 | 30 | 30 | 120 | 120 | 1200 | 1200 |
You are automatically whitelisted if you buy a copper membership. You don't need to wear the copper membership, just own it. You can also be whitelisted for free by any staff member and a few non-staff, but we're going to need some reason to think that you actually deserve it. Do not ask me for free whitelisting. Whitelisting is a not a license to spam. You will be immediately banned if you're found spamming, even if you bought a copper membership (and you will not be refunded). I know you are trying to keep it as simple as possible and avoid information overload, but if you could tone down this information and incorporate it into the existing information then I think it would be beneficial to add it. Possibly add it to the activity timeline.

Can someone post a link for the new PM rules Theymos put out, I saw it yesterday but can’t find it today. Thanks!
Yeah that will be great, please post the relevant link so that we can go through it https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2536728.msg25872334#msg25872334That has all of the relevant information. Should probably be stickied, or added to an existing sticky.

Won't that make it a little too unanonymous though? Yeah you'll have yours more personalized and even easier to remember so you won't have to copy it everytime but i think randomness is what makes btc addresses more secure.
Depends what you want as a prefix. If it has your username then it will be linked with the username, but nothing else. If you use something like 1Bitcoin then it isn't effecting anything. If you are post any address with your username then it instantly gets linked with your account anyway. Adding a prefix and then posting it here on the forums isn't going to make a difference.

It's a low fee, but isn't the lowest one I've seen recently. Either try a free accelerator or because you are willing to pay then pay a fee towards some paid accelerators. On this forum people will pretend to help you by accelerating your transaction when really all they did was add it to a free accelerator.

Never used the site, as it doesn't have the protections that I would like. Consider selling directly here on the forum where you can get all of the profits. Use a trusted escrow and little can go wrong. I know the convenience of sites like this but if it's hurting your profit that much then it just isn't worth it.

There are some people who were waiting more than a week for the answer. But eventually they come back. The solution for your problem is choosing more recent exchange where they don't have problem with too many clients
More recent exchanges? I wouldn't recommend this. Bitstamp is a trusted site and even though sometimes it may take them a while to reply to a support message, they will reply and do their best to sort out the issue. Anyway, all the exchanges that are considered trustworthy will be in the same boat considering the amount of people buying in and out of Bitcoin right now. Most of the support messages will probably be concerning fees.

Trust shouldn't be something that you try and collect/get. There's a few users which are abusing it by purchasing trust effectively by only trading with DefaultTrust or Depth2 of DefaultTrust. This shouldn't happen and you will be called out if you do this.
Trust should not be something which is expected after a trade. Especially lower amounts. If a escrow is involved then there's not much trust involved with the buyer/seller. But, yes like others have said just keep on trading and being honest and you'll eventually get a trust rating. But, don't trade just because you'll get some trust out of it. DefaultTrust is actively fighting against this.

Not many people are going to take that feedback seriously. It has no reference link, as well as no context in the message. Just ignore it. Taking a look at his sent feedback it's all rubbish. Anyone who's seriously looking at your trust will see this too and will dismiss it.

Do you mean localbitcoins.com? Your going to need to be more specific. If it's localbitcoins.com then what exactly do you need help with? If you've lost your password it's unlikely that any of us will be able to help.

After 17 days 0 response from Cyrus or theymos. Seems that the feedback of a mod (italian section mod can confirm that the stolen account is mine) is useless too. Any ideas?
Meanwhile the thief is still using my account for scam purpose, that's amazing...
You haven't been able to prove the account is yours, if you did then the account would of been locked relatively quickly and then investigated by theymos/cyrus at a later date. Imagine the chaos if it was as simple as claiming an account is yours and that was enough of a reason to get an account locked it would be exploited.

I wouldn't be against those boards not counting towards activity either but there are also plenty of other boards that would then also meet the criteria such as Gambling Discussion (which is basically a board that was created due to shitposters being 'forced' by the signature campaigns to make x amount of posts in Gambling, hence why they started created threads to talk about every possible league and tournament of sport that is ever played. Either I'd be fine with but it might be easier just to prohibit certain ranks from posting as that's already happened in certain boards (the "Other languages" board for example where it's now not allowed for ranks lower than Senior to create threads there due to all the spam). As I said before as well, people can still have decent discussions in there but it's all the newbies that have drowned that out.
I too believe Gambling Discussion should be added to the no activity counted list. I can't comment on the local sections, but it seems there's already measures there to prevent spam. Possibly adding it to the Alt coin annoucement/bountie threads could prove beneficial. A lot of accounts are posting utter rubbish there as you know and not all of them are low ranked members either.

Off Topic has been discussed and proposed to be removed from counting towards post-count/activity before and the quality of threads in there just gets worse day by day with more and more users signing up here just because they heard you can earn by posting. Although, I wouldn't be against your proposal here. I believe that sections such as Off topic and Politics & Society just shouldn't count towards activity. Any board which isn't directly related to Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency shouldn't count towards activity. I think this way it won't only prevent newbies from creating shit threads, but higher ranked members too. Preventing newbies from creating threads in these sections would only hinder them and they would just post there to rank up their accounts when they've passed the restrictions. If you don't know anything about bitcoin where else are you going to post? This is the exact reason why activity shouldn't be counted in the sections mentioned. They are a farming ground currently which is drowning out all of the legitimate discussion.

3 - a hardware wallet has the risk of being lost or stolen, I do currently not know of any ways of backing it up
You can backup the hardware wallet locally with your seed or private key and store it in a secure location (not on a computer) my own thought currently; maintaining all passwords in a tool(?) I wouldn't recommend a password manager either, they normally require one password to get into all of your stored passwords. Unless, you have a very secure password for the password manager and it isn't susceptible from malware then you may opt for that option. But as soon as it's brought online you risk the security of it. Writing passwords down on pieces of paper and storing them securely could also be another option to a password manager. Finally, never store any coin on an exchange for a extended period of time. Only store it on there when you are trading. You aren't in full control of your funds on an exchange.

Any wallet on Bitcoin.org ( https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet) which allows full control over funds will be suitable. If you are holding a large amount of coins and won't be accessing them regular then a paper wallet or a private key generated offline would be more suitable. Wallets which allow full control over funds: - Bitcoin core - Bitcoin knots - Armory - mSIGNA - Bither - Electrum Depending on your usage some of these wallets will be more suitable than others.

There's no limitation to how many posts a day you can make, but there are caps to the activity calculated. As long as your posts are constructive and follow the rules you shouldn't run into any problems with the amount of posts you make. I have a question. Is post in off-topic themes counted to rank?
Yes posts in off topic are counted towards activity currently.

First of all for the transaction to be "dropped" then it must be forgotten by the network and your wallet no longer has the transaction recorded. Only then will the Bitcoin associated with the transaction be usable in a new transaction. If you create a new transaction using the same Bitcoins and it gets confirmed by the network the old unconfirmed transaction will be dropped/forgotten by the network and thus become invalid.
The old transaction can't be broadcast again by anyone. This is why a lot of websites/services always wait for 1 confirmation to prevent this and double spending. There isn't a time frame which the transaction will be forgotten and could remain on the network forever depending on the wallet used and the network.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0You use your computers processing power to generate the prefix. The more characters you want to be unique will take more time. As long as you have the processing power then you should be able to get a 4/5 character prefix. I would suggest to only do this yourself and not hire anyone else to do it for you because of the issue with private keys and trusting them with it.
