61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how much do you love bitcoins? on: June 16, 2024, 11:03:16 PM
The OP seems to be trying to pass himself off as a regular member with regular concerns but reading his post raises questions. He has the hallmarks of an account that wants merits and wants to rank up. It gets somewhat tiresome reading posts that clearly designed to come across and innocent when there is an ulterior motive behind them.

63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Rematch: FURY vs USYK 21st December 2024 on: June 16, 2024, 10:44:57 PM
One thing that was almost missing from Fury in their unification fight was effective use of his jab. He did not use it enough to his capability and given the length of his arm he definitely had reach advantage therefore it baffles me how (with the exception of rounds 4-6 when he stepped up to dominate the fight) he allowed Usyk to control the centre of the ring and the fight.

When Fury flew in to action and caused problem for Usyk, he was releasing the left hand jabs followed by right hand punches and that was when I thought Usyk was going to hit the canvas and Fury would win. In their rematch if Fury is aggressive and rough, it is difficult to see Usyk winning. I remember Wilder saying he lost a lot of energy and strength when Fury was leaning on to him on the ropes and he felt drained. If Fury does that or if Usyk allows Fury to do it then I think we will see a different outcome.

What makes this an exciting prospect is that Usyk has no intention of letting Fury win and at the same time Fury has no intention of losing  Grin

Fury doesn't have anything to lose now so I'm sure he'll go hell for leather even if that means gassing out and getting picked off by Usyk. He doesn't really have any other choice as he's knows he's not going to outbox Usyk so he's going to have to try KO him which he will obviously have to be the first person to do so. Maybe Fury needs to be a bit rougher/dirtier and use his weight next time around. That's what I thought he'd do in the first fight but he didn't really do much of that, though that's probably more to Usyk's credit as he tends to avoid it or get out of the clinch before Fury can start weighing him down.
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ EURO 2024 TOURNAMENT - Discussion Thread on: June 15, 2024, 06:50:35 PM
RESULTS:

Saturday 15th June:
Hungary 1-3 Switzerland
Spain 3-0 Croatia

Friday 14th June:
Germany 5-1 Scotland

Germany kicked-off the tournament in style yesterday with a stunning win over Scotland. If Rudiger did not head in an own-goal Scotland would have lost 5-0 because they were not going to score themselves.

Switzerland are said to be playing in their final tournament with their golden generation and they will want to make an impact. Spain had a good start to the tournament too.

We are only three games in to the tournament and apart from Germany, no other team looks like they will win it (maybe being the host nation will give them a boost)  Grin

There is one more game to be played today: Italy vs Albania

edit: Italy 2-1 Albania

Italy came back from behind to win the game after Albania scored after just 23 seconds (which is the fastest goal ever scored at a Euro tournament).

And it could also be possible that United can't find another manager good enough to replace Ten Hag.
I thought about this after reading your post. There really is not a huge pool of established managers with a proven track record to choose from right now and maybe that played a part in stopping Ten Hag from getting the sack. I would be inclined to think that he will be sacked next season if they do not finish at least as runners-up or champions in the Premier League. Anything else probably will not suffice.

Good for Ten Hag to have been given another opportunity to finish up his job at Man Utd, But let's see what he's going to bring this season and who he is going to put the blame on should he fail to put things in order, which I think is going to be his last opportunity if he fails this time around and would no longer have anyone to blame for his failures.
He seems to be a good manager but the Manchester United job is far too big for him. He was good at Ajax and he could (given time) bring that to Manchester United but in the end the club probably need a bigger personality to get them to an very high level of consistency again.
67  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Racism in Soccer on: June 15, 2024, 06:13:35 PM
First of all, I think by the majority of members in the forum would agree with me when I say there can never be any justification for racism regardless of who the racist is and who the victim is. Racism is absolutely abhorrent and is totally unacceptable in any situation or capacity.

In a simple answer to your question, I think it could be because they are a minority ethnic group. If European football players were playing in African leagues, maybe some of them would face racism because they would be the ethnic minority.

I want to know the reason why the Blacks are mostly the victims of racial abuse.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Rematch: FURY vs USYK 21st December 2024 on: June 15, 2024, 04:57:11 PM
With the exception of a few rounds (probably rounds 4-6), Usyk was on the front foot and tried to hold the middle of the ring while Fury was clearly on the back foot. If Fury is aggressive as soon as the first bell sounds, this will be a different fight. Usyk hardly ever allows the opponent to dominate by holding the centre ground but if he gets rattled we do not know how he will cope.

Also, there is a chance Fury could get knocked out if he gets tired by trying too hard to win in the early part of the fight. It will be an intriguing and exciting fight. Fury did not release a consistent flurry of jabs and punches, he did seem reserved therefore he will probably have a different style for the rematch.

I  think Usyk knows what Fury will bring in the second fight. Yeah, he could have beat him in the first one, but for sure, Fury as you have said will be hungry and put everything in the line here to take revenge from that devastating lost.

Fury knows what went wrong in the first fight, it could be that he so light and so he might add a little weight here. Or simply just let his hands go and not second guess because he seems to be very tentative to throw it as if he was afraid of the counter.

The future of Bitcoin is Uncle Lydia?

What is the future of Bitcoin?

As I stated in a different thread, when newbie accounts do not post like a newbie, the chances are they are newly registered accounts operated by a seasoned forum member. Usually they would be part of an account farm for the sole purpose of building them in rank with a view to being enrolled in signature campaigns but sometimes it can be to infiltrate DT for nefarious purposes.

The reality is there are some signs that newbies display that point to alt-accounts and account farms. Your posting shows some of the same traits.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Rematch: FURY vs USYK 21st December 2024 on: June 15, 2024, 08:04:19 AM
I do not know of Usyk will drop back down to cruiserweight, he really should be concentrating on what is ahead of him at the moment. Tyson Fury is going to come back in the ring for the rematch probably heavier than when he lost, I think it contributed to his defeat because he had to adjust with the change. I think he will be a different opponent altogether if he gets in to the ring at his usual weight.

Both of them now know what the other is capable of doing therefore both have probably understood the weakness of the other. I still think if Fury were to be aggressive against Usyk the same way was against Wilder, in my opinion Fury will win. Fury has no option but to be aggressive and on the front foot in order to try to win but how will Usyk approach the fight?

Usyk has to be hungry to win the rematch. He already has a reason to win the rematch because he wanted to become undisputed again at cruiserweight. Whether he can still do it or not, he has to win one fight at a time. In this fight, it's about who controls the ring. Usyk in the rematch will not just try to win rounds but to knock Fury out. He already went 12 rounds and knew he can hurt Fury. If Fury came up too heavy, maybe Usyk cannot stop him but if Fury tries to enter the rematch lighter to gain some speed, Usyk will stop him.

He posted in this thread after you pointed it out to him but he completely ignored you. What are the chances the OP is someone that is not interested in the topics and posts unless they are used to help his account rank and post count? I have seen far too many accounts behave in a similar manner and hardly any changed their ways. Maybe the OP will surprise us.

As for the topic, does it deserve a valid response when the question itself was not valid?

I was just in your earlier thread created just about 20minutes before this one, wasn’t done in making a response and then boom, your up with yet another similar thread, still Bitcoin, still focused on the US but trying to get a different aim of it which, doesn’t make a major distinction.

I might be off course but, I would say it doesn’t portray you like one whom is interested in the thread you create. Rather than just creating threads, it’s good you take the time to follow up on responses to see how your thread is going. It would serve you even more, the feed backs you get.

In between, Musk interest haven’t been much in Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency, his good for the pump but, that’s what he is and he didn’t get to start that today. His in to get his profit and inject it into his SpaceX and Tesla project with them Cyber Trucks. Don’t be deceived to follow just because he says so.
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Rematch: FURY vs USYK 21st December 2024 on: June 14, 2024, 06:52:59 PM
If Usyk wins the rematch he could easily take the path you suggested and retire to spend time with his family because he would have nothing else to prove to anybody. The dilemma he would face about retirement is to be addressed by Usyk after the winner of the rematch is announced. They had a two-fight deal therefore regardless of who wins the rematch there will not be a compulsory trilogy. Having said that I am sure in the event Usyk loses, their teams will ensure a trilogy takes place.

Better think about split draw and a trilogy like against Wilder Cheesy But Fury should think quick and take decisions quick, as I dont know how much longer Usyk will be motivated to fight. He has got all belts already, got all belts in cruiserweight, Olympic games gold medal, World championship gold medal, money, undefeated. What is the reason for him to continue fighting? He has 4 kids, make a title defence and better spend rest of the time with them Cheesy
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2024/2025 on: June 14, 2024, 06:48:44 PM
Is it possible Radcliffe accepted what Ten Hag told him? It seems as though Radcliffe is a tough business-like character that would not care about anything except about getting results because that would demonstrate success. I think without winning the FA Cup he probably would have been sacked and he should consider himself fortunate he has another season.

If this is how things go with Radcliffe, he will probably sack Ten Hag next season if results are not going his way.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MemoryDealers aka Roger Ver Arrested! on: June 14, 2024, 06:37:44 PM
Very well spotted. Maybe Ver is not allowed to leave Mallorca but if he were allowed to leave he can theoretically drive to other countries but not via a checkpoint because passports will be checked.

There are 29 countries within the Schengen Area and the way the system is supposed to work is that when someone enters the Schengen Area they are logged in the immigration system and after that can move around seamlessly within the boundaries of the member states. How it works in practical terms is unknown because if all citizens on bail in any one country could travel to another part of the Schengen Area to escape going to Court, it would be problematic. Maybe the EU think tanks covered that scenario.

Having said that, there are still checkpoints and country entry/exit points where passports do get checked because not all people that travel will be EU residents therefore will have passports checked.

Stupid American Question: I know in the Schengen zone you can drive from country to country without stopping at borders. Yes, technically he is on an island at the moment, but if say Ver was in Madrid what would stop him from hopping in a car and driving to France? Is there any kind of monitoring that is done?

Kind of like here in the US, unless they make you wear an ankle monitor you can in theory hop in a car and go anywhere in the US. It's not legal and if you are caught there are penalties but there is nothing stopping you.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MemoryDealers aka Roger Ver Arrested! on: June 14, 2024, 09:04:10 AM
Nothing much has happened since the last post in this thread.

According to this article that is a few days old now, Ver is living in Mallorca since his bail was accepted. His lawyer managed to get him out of prison on bail payment of 150,000 Euro. He had to surrender his passport therefore cannot leave the country.

From what it seems, he arrived in Barcelona, Spain in his yacht and was arrested. The Department of Justice were tracking his movements. Somehow they knew he owned around 131,000 bitcoins when he renounced his US citizenship and became a citizen of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Eventually, he will be extradited unless he can secure a deal with the Department of Justice to make a tax payment in return for them dropping their case against him.

76  Other / Meta / Re: Offensive names in the Forum on: June 14, 2024, 08:51:03 AM
There are many clear offensive usernames in this forum, but didn't get banned.
1. suckmydick
2. suckmycock12
3. suckmynutsLOL
Now when I come across forum names such as these I cannot help but just literally laugh out loud  Grin

To be on topic, I am certainly in favour of banning offensive and confusing usernames and making them impossible for registration and further use. It doesn't have to be exclusively offensive but does anyone remember ~DefaultTrust, obviously only with the idea of trolling and creating confusion? I am surprised that the account is still active.
I would be inclined to ban offensive names but only is a caveat is added.

First, I think members should probably not be allowed to create an offensive name but no matter how brilliant a word filter is added it will not pick up every word. In that event it can be reported and admin can advise the member to change the name before their account will become active again. If they do not change the offensive name the account remains banned. Another option is for admin to forcefully change a name and re-activate the account.

I am sure it sounds harsh to some members, it might be the wrong approach but at we are sharing ideas.

78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Rematch: FURY vs USYK 21st December 2024 on: June 14, 2024, 08:20:05 AM
Maybe I am feeling Fury will win because in the back of my mind I am hoping for a trilogy  Grin

Having said that, when you put two very powerful and determined boxers in the ring, anything could happen. Regardless of the world titles on the line, a winner could literally be just one uppercut, hook or surprise punch away. Usyk deserved the win on the day but will he be as hungry and determined in the rematch as much as he was in their unification bout?

As for Fury, if he is determined to set the record straight maybe Usyk will not be able to withstand that sort of pressure and that is why boxing fans are eagerly awaiting for the rematch.

He has a chance. I mean he didn't become a world champion if he can't win against other strong fighters like Usyk. I believe he can, but with I'm rooting with Usyk to win on their rematch still. Smiley
79  Economy / Reputation / Re: Only UMG aka GluttonyY could do this. on: June 14, 2024, 08:12:46 AM
I definitely agree with that sentiment. I locked my thread about him and why he went quiet but then Vod made a post that not only made me laugh but it was extremely accurate.  Maybe he thrives off the attention, we do not know but keeping that in mind (him possibly getting some sort of kick when members discuss him), locking the thread might be a good move.

Without ruling out that he may come back with another account, it is time to lock the thread. He may be watching the forum and I think we should not give him more attention than he deserves.

I guess that is a good signal right on cue for me to lock this thread  Grin

just pretend he does not exist.

Q:  Who are you talking about?
A:  Exactly.
