61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you feeling FOMO like I am? on: December 10, 2023, 11:08:00 PM
I do, have been getting thoughts about buying more than what I have right now to achieve more gains in the future but I keep telling to myself that I’d have more chances to do so snd to not let the FOMO get to me.strategically buying your crypto is just as important as buying crypto itself. At least if we’re talking sbout maximizing your earning potential which I believe is something that’s in the mind of the regular investor anyway.

If you want to get into the crypto train this early and this pricey, that’s fine. It’s still great to have you around. But us folks here would wait and see the markets pan out to discern whether buying is the right take to do. So yeah. Good luck to everyone of us I guess.
Considering the potential and the upcoming halving into consideration it is always good to go for more when there is an opportunity. FOMO is common among the people who wants to buy at the lowest price, but they never do it when the price is at the bottom. Keeps waiting and finally invest when the price is at the urge of moving bullish. Whenever we enter the market we need to be good enough to handle upcoming situations, because we can't be sure of the bullish/bearish trend change of the market.
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers should not believe in first game win trap on: December 09, 2023, 11:42:54 PM
It's true, first games were mostly won and this is not kind of planned thing. It happens randomly and the same keeps the gambler active hoping for better outcome in the upcoming bets. As suggested gambling is fun and we should have the limitations on spending. Beyond the limit will let us get caught into the trap which we'll understand when we take a break after a long session with our gambling statistics on the losing side.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if Bitcoin shutdown? on: December 09, 2023, 11:39:37 PM
The potential shutdown of Bitcoin, while seemingly remote, sends tremors across a vast landscape of industries and technological advancements. Its impact wouldn't be limited to the financial realm; it would reverberate through the very fabric of our interconnected world.
It’s something I don’t like to imagine as I don’t deem it feasible in my life time but perhaps, in a future where I might not be in existence but, instead of a no Bitcoin future, I think what we are more likely to see is a Bitcoin with some form of regulations through the various centralized systems that exists within the cryptospace and some measures being put on miners by the government of individual host nations.

The advantages of Bitcoin has pushed for CBDCs and I don’t see government being very eager to see a useful system go to waste. Once they find means to properly task it, then we can as well expect Bitcoin to stick around much longer.
Whats there to think of something thats not gonna happen. In recent years we've heard less about the term ban of cryptocurrency mining and cryptocurrencies on different countries. Before that quite often some country makes a statement that cryptocurrency mining is banned and this used to affect the network for a while. Soon it comes back as the same mining left were taken hold by some other country. This means the void isn't created in the network and the same lets the network function in a much effective manner. There is no need to worry about its long lasting., it lasts forever.
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: December 08, 2023, 11:54:57 PM
I don't think that the main reason is loneliness, anyone can get addicted to gambling for many reason as it can be without any reason it just depends on the individual mentality. This person got addicted because he gmable irresponsibly and heavily, if he was doing something else and tries to forget about his wife with something other than gambling he wouldn't spend 500$  from 600$ of his daily income.
Gambling irresponsibly is very risky and may lead to a quick addition, especially in this man's case who has an income which means that more money in you pocket can make someone more addicted because he has that feeling of security.

they say it's often the thrills of winning that make gambling addicting and its due to the dopamine. but this is when you are already addicted to it. loneliness i think is just the start of someone who is just about to gamble for the first time and then he learns that there are people in the casino that welcome him which he finds belongingness.
kinda like the child who is trying hard to be part of a group. loneliness can make a person return to a place where he feels he is not alone.
Loneliness drives people into gambling when they're in need. If a person doesn't have any financial issues, then he won't think of it. When there is need for money as well as there is no opportunity for him to make money he gets into gambling as the last hope. In specific people sometimes believes without understanding the reality of gambling. They just think gambling will end all their problems.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: December 07, 2023, 11:53:08 PM
Cash out at regular interval, because we don't know what will be our luck in the next roll. We could get emotional any time as well as our minds could think why don't we go for big money increasing the bet. By the time we've got two possibilities, winning big and losing big. To avoid such circumstances it is always good to cashout and atleast one can enjoy something out of the win even if the later bets fails.
66  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID is dead, "long live the new COVID". World economy get ready? on: December 07, 2023, 11:35:50 PM
The world economy and population has not yet everywhere moved away from the covid and events of 2022, and ... a new global pandemic awaits us ?  Your opinion - what and how to prepare for ?
Although I don't have accurate information about this new epidemic, I think the media is exaggerating this issue. Maybe we're past the fear of what's happened, and now a certain sign can make everyone confused, but honestly I feel like what we just went through gives us hope and enough experience to cope with challenges. But anyway, I am waiting for clear information on this issue, but I think maybe things are calming down now. Since the news started to spread until now, it seems like everything is under control, and there is not much relevant information about the severity.
Media wants news and if everything is peaceful there won't be anything much to broadcast. Understanding this media tries to create regular news out of a same topic. This is where things gets exaggerated. However this time it isn't very big and the information regarding the epidemic hadn't spread widely same as that of the COVID. Things were under control and everytime it is China to have these problems addressed initially.
67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gambling and Behavioral Change!!! on: December 07, 2023, 04:12:28 AM
Does any of feel behavioral change in you based on the win/loss in gambling. Myself had experienced it, and personally I used to be happy and I used to be polite with my family members and kid whenever I am on profit. On the day of losing it changes exactly in the opposite way, even for simple things I get much anger. Particularly while giving food to kid patience is must. On winning days I let him take his own time and eat. On the losing days I used to shout at him. I'm addicted, and I want fellow gamblers to make a self analysis at regular interval and be on the safer side.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin introductory history on: December 05, 2023, 11:45:35 PM
It reminds me of the old days when I try to explain it to people they hear to me, but they weren't able to accept it. Majority of the people state its virtual presence as the reason, how could a number be valued same as the currency. Now those people could've come to realisation about the technology and how value have evolved out of it. As most users stated, even now in the name of cryptocurrency more scams were happening around. This too a reason why people doesn't have the interest as well as tries to stay away from it.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: December 05, 2023, 11:09:56 PM
This is the problem with most of the people who have financial problems. The early wins have given little hope of making money out of gambling, and thats where he went for bigger money spending. The addiction have led him go for a loan. Just think of a situation in which OP have recovered the losses. Will he be stopping soon after that, No, his gambling continues. This is common and myself have experienced it. Whether it is $20 or something big, play with your own money. When you don't have wait for the time. Earn additional money apart from money required for family and spend it. This will not hurt us and the family.
70  Economy / Economics / Re: You are the product. Corporations spying on us deeper than we thought? on: December 05, 2023, 10:59:09 PM
In one way or the other we give access as well as accept their terms and conditions unknowingly. Through this we give access to the media, as well as the mic, maybe through that its happening. Everything have turned to be a big business and data sharing is more commonly taking place. Recently had an experience, how data are being gathered for few cents and got shared. Bought a chips packet and in that there's a cashback which can be claimed. Tried to claim and it requests for our entire data starting from mobile number to our address. I did everything and finally the terms and conditions, tried to read and found out a term which is really interesting. Accepting the terms and conditions means you're agreeing to share the data gathered to the sister concerns of the firm. These days spying the consumers based on their interest have turned to be common and this needs to be rectified.
71  Economy / Economics / Re: #HODLing is not a smooth journey on: December 04, 2023, 07:49:37 PM
The pictorial representation gives clear understanding about holding. We need to understand the problems faced by people while holding, and the same can be made smooth with our experience as well as with the expectations one have upon their investment. When the focus is long term we should keep on accumulating as much possible. In between we'll experience great fluctuation in the market. The only way is to hold and most of the people who end up losing were the people who depend completely on cryptocurrency earning for their living. Our cryptocurrency investment should be kept aside from the regular earning for our life, only then we can easily move forward without experiencing big losses.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin Bar in Sofia, Bulgaria looks Interesting on: December 04, 2023, 07:37:50 PM
Most of the bitcoin users have the mind to have a business with bitcoin theme, but very few go for it whereas the majority don't execute plans for different reasons. Most common reason being the fear, because very few countries have regulated the usage whereas the majority hadn't announced anything official. This means there'll be fear, as the  government might take action against them.

Often we were able to similar businesses popping out around different parts of the world. Most common business seen around with bitcoin themes were the cafe, food chain and bar. This is good, because it is the common place where people often have their meetups.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will invest the money to buy the land in Bitcoin. on: December 04, 2023, 07:28:23 PM
Many people see bitcoin as a quick rich scheme without understanding the real potential of it. What OP have planned is really appreciable, because he had understood well about the market as well as the risks associated with bitcoin. Keeping hold in the bank doesn't let the investment worth $11k grow high. The same in bitcoin will assure of good return in the long term.

If if buy a land without proper analysis about the surroundings we might end up in loss as the value depriciates. The land value rise is mostly for the specific locations and investing on them needs very big money. With bitcoin the smallest denomination lets you to invest based on one's ability. Bitcoin investment assure you with growth, if you have the patience.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should altcoins be blamed? on: December 02, 2023, 11:23:29 PM
Users who had understood well about cryptocurrency will not blame altcoins or take any other second view. The responsibility is to focus on the market and achieve the best out of it. Not everyone is able to be successful out of cryptocurrency. People who hadn't succeeded investing into altcoins will blame it. This isn't fair, because there are people who had made themselves millionaire through altcoins. There are altcoins that provides with high rate of interest, it is our knowledge that finds it among the crowd.
75  Economy / Economics / Re: Inventing a job is better than finding a job on: November 30, 2023, 11:58:21 PM
It is good to invent a job. Not everyone have the mind to do it, thinking the risk. When we invent job we're more responsible that we need to keep running. Even some small issues could lead into financial issues. When it comes to finding a job, for our qualification we find a job and we work what had been assigned and assure of the regular earning. This is the difference why people prefer finding a job than inventing it.
76  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price $45k by ending of 2023: AI prediction on: November 30, 2023, 11:54:23 PM
This would certainly be a sweet christmas for btc HOLDers,

Being an AI prediction its probably more calculated and free of bias,
you would want these AI predictions to be correct, but if this happens way too often what could that lead into :O

Yeah, but where does the AI gets his data to predict though?

And so with that, everyone can make their own prediction based on bitcoin's previous historical log. It might not be as accurate when you crunch the data. But if you have been in the market already, I'm sure we should know how to make those predictions, those wild educated guesses.  Grin

Who wouldn't want to see $45k at the end of 2023? but we will have to wait, we all have our own predictions and hopefully it can match that of the AI as well or even higher.
Based on the past market data the AI could've made the prediction. This is how the majority of the people does the prediction. Everything is on some facts and data, nothing is going to be precise. For now the December month is to begin and we have a month to end the year. Maybe we can experience $50k by the start of 2024 as the market seems good. Good resistance could drive the market reach $40k+ at the earliest.
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good advice? on: November 27, 2023, 08:29:06 PM
I keep seeing gamblers advising themselves that you are one step closer to winning the jackpot when you quit too early,  it's sad that they strongly believe this.

Is this true?

This advice is actually making gamblers believe that they can win when they spend a lot of more time in the casino, they strongly believe that not stopping or taking break will bring them closer to their jackpot.

One of em told me that this is why I don't win, that I only gamble when I feel like, he said constantly gambling is a must if you want to win, but I disagree, because I have seen too many people not knowing when to quit until it was too late.

To me, gambling is a theater, a form of entertainment that I pay for, not a way to get rich quick, for them it's a must to win by force, one question seem to change his mood though.

I asked him why he isn't rich yet if he is actively gambling everytime since all this while, this changed his mood and I took a turn.

Well, technically.... If they keep going, they do increase their chances of winning the jackpot. But that is from a mathematical perspective.

But one has to ask themselves; is it worth increasing your chances with such a manual attempt? And if you know the odds of winning the jackpot, you will understand why it does not make a noticeable difference. The odds of winning are too low, so even if you keep adding on, all you do is improve your miniscule odds by a miniscule amount.

Its like buying more tickets for a lottery. Buying more tickets has never proven to be a way to win the jackpot either. The winnings odds are too small for more tickets to make a difference.
In the past few gamblers have learnt the scripts and won jackpots. Those are difficult to achieve, and that way few have beaten the casino. Nowadays things were quite complex and it isn't easy to beat the casino. Luck is the only thing that could win a jackpot. As said continued gambling increase the winning probability, but the same doesn't assure a big win.

As said more tickets at times help with the winning. I've seen this happening in the weekly raffle on different gambling platforms. Users with few tickets can be seen on the list, whereas majority used to be the one with more number of tickets.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodling vs trading on: November 26, 2023, 11:59:07 PM
Even though they are similar but they are not one and if it is to choose one, many of us will choose hodling and as you said, hodling is stress free while trading is stressful because you will be on the device to check the movement of the trade. investing in bitcoin also have a limit of deposit and withdrawal. There are some wallet that you hodle your bitcoins, you can not deposit or withdraw below $2 as bitcoin. So both has disadvantage and advantages.
Holding is just keeping our assets in a secure manner and making use of it after specific time period or waiting for particular price to be reached. With trading there is a need of regular market watching and we need to make better prediction so to increase the chance of making profit. With holding we won't learn anything about the market, whereas the money into trading will give us learning about the market. We know much about the price movement and based on the same we can extend the holding time period. So, atleast small amount need to be involved into trading in my view.
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: November 26, 2023, 11:15:49 PM
In my opinion making cash from gambling is not a good option and the statistical probability that you will win every game at every casino is very low. I think winning or losing every game is completely in your head, so your individual tricks are not there. However, we all have some kind of luck so we should strive for what is possible for us.

Yes, it is all about luck. So if you are thinking of making money from gambling, don't. You will only lose money and fall into debt, your property will be depleted. In short, you will ruin your life if this is how you think about gambling. But if you are naughty and really want to make money with gambling, buy a casino or build one.
Agreed, it is all about luck. In some way luck 90% and the learning about gambling is also must. There are people who are lucky to win big. Even after that they don't get fulfilled. This had ended in losing the big jackpots. So, gambling is all about luck, but we should have the learning and the money management to stop at the right time. If not the same could go against us in no time.
80  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can old generation cause the habit of gambling in young generation ? on: November 26, 2023, 11:13:08 PM
Old generation people spending time on gambling could have impact on the young generation. In my country old generation people can be seen playing cards around the beach region after their work. This is kind of leisure for them. Nowadays it is possible to see old generation playing in one part of the beach and the young generations on the next end of the beach. Young generation follow old genaration and as these are simple games it easily gets attracted.
