1061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical gambling and internet gambling which is more fun. on: March 17, 2023, 10:06:30 PM
Seriously physical gambling is more fun than online gambling, but online gambling is more secure than physical gambling. When you are gambling physically, you can gamble with your friends and make arguments which I believe is the fun part of physical gambling, but when you are gambling online, it's always boring, nobody to make arguments with. But when you win in physical gambling, you life might be at risk, but when you win in online gambling, you are safe because nobody will even know about your win if you don't tell anyone.
Thats true, physical gambling is more fun. When we get into physical gambling activities, we don't gamble really but we make fun and enjoy the moments. Another thing, the spending won't be big, even the losses doesn't affect us. Someone close to us wins it and he buys the dinner for the rest. This is how things happen. When it comes to online gambling we play against the odds generated by the system and we'll be doing it alone. Sometimes we win and we enjoy it alone. The losses hurt and we stay unable to share with someone to get relaxation. For so many reasons physical gambling is the best.
1062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 17, 2023, 09:59:47 PM
Australia tour of India 1st ODI match between these two teams has started. Batting first, Australia set a target of 188 runs in 35.4 overs. Australia team batsmen could not score many runs. The runs that Australia scored seems like Australia played a T20 match. But it will be all out.  I did not think. Now waiting to see how India team batsman can score. Virat Kohli batted badly in today's match. On the day when Virat Kohli bats well, India wins the matches very easily.
Even if Virat Kohli plays badly in this match India will easily win the match Rahul scored 68 runs alone and he is still playing. India need only 16 runs in 13 overs which is not a difficult task for India to complete and an easy task for any cricket team not just India.  India still have 5 wickets left so there is no doubt that India is going to win the match. However, compared to India, Australia had a much better run rate but they could not hold on to their wickets and all the wickets were lost in just 35 overs.
I agree with you, if the Australian cricket team could have completed the 50 over game. Then Australia cricket team would have reached 260 to 280 score and win the match against India. But unfortunately Australia team batsmen could not survive in front of Indian bowlers. Except Australia team batsman Mitchell Marsh no one could play well especially last order batting of Australia team was very bad. Indian cricket team performed well in batting and bowling
I was able to see the score 130 during the 20th over, and after some time the Australia innings have got over. We can't say the pitch have favoured the bowlers. It is the bad performance from the Australia batters. They should've performed better and scored atleast 250+ runs. Top team performing in such a way is completely unexpected. On the other side Indian batting too isn't upto the mark, if one among the the Jadeja - Rahul pair have fallen the match could've moved into the hands of Australia. The score was 83/5 and ended the match without losing another wicket. Hope Australia will make a comeback win in the second ODI.
1063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first pizza purchase using Bitcoin in lightning network on: March 17, 2023, 09:52:10 PM

Have you ever bought a pizza using Bitcoin in lightning network? Wink

no, unfortunately where I live bitcoins are not accepted as an alternative payment method, living in a very small town the chances of being able to do so are close to absolute zero! in the big cities near me there are some shops that accept bitcoin payments but I don't know if they accept lightning, never tried it but I intend to do it soon
Bitcoin acceptance is accumulated within specific region. This needs to get widen and it is possible only through you and me. Everyone who are part of the bitcoin community need to start accepting bitcoin into the business owned by them. This will create awareness as well as let more stores have bitcoin acceptance. With most businesses, they fear of accepting bitcoin just for legal issues as the governments haven't officially announced the legality of cryptocurrency usage within the country.

1065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when people tells their story on bitcoin on: March 17, 2023, 09:31:53 PM
For long now I have been reading lots of interesting testimonies around the forum about their experience and achievement they made through bitcoin progress. Something very important came into me to know how do you feels whenever someone said of their investment and how it yielded and they made fortune out of it.

Do you feels your late getting involved to the industry and do you wishes to be like them, and if you were in their shoes would you be able to utilize those opportunity they got or you won't afford to bear the risk and get involved?

Lets discuss wisely and get the best from ourselves.
If it is really the "crypto" thing I will very happy. But most of the people I know they reffering crypto either for a certain game they are playing or an online casino which unfortunately using only the term crypto just to get attention to those who don't really know crypto. I remembered my neighbor when he got scam he make a scene in our compound and said "crypto is down, it is scam" and she started cursing crypto.
Most of them just limit themselves and never tries to know the reality. It have got risk, but very few believe it to be real whereas the majority say it a scam. Similar incident happened with me when I spoke about bitcoin to a brother. He just started don't get trapped and loss all your money. He started to say things negatively and I wasn't able to argue, finally ended that he hadn't experienced anything. His friend have experienced a massive loss out of the market fluctuation and so he doesn't want to risk. This is how most of the people stay away and spread negative things about bitcoin. This mentality need to change.
1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will you sell Shib now? Am holding on: March 16, 2023, 11:58:11 PM
From this time on, don't expect more than an x8 or maximum of 10x from Shiba Inu, if you're holding hoping it will make another 1000x, you've fooled yourself, that's why I sold my Shiba Inu and found something else. It is now impossible to get even a 100x from Shiba inu, since the developers used BONE instead of Shib tokens for gas fees, so Shiba Inu could still make some insane gains in the future if they did this.
1000x are too impossible, let’s be more realistic here and don’t get hyped by those updates.
Its ok to hold though just to catch up with the hype but don’t expect that much since SHIB is still a meme token and there’s no update yet about taking another path and to have fully utilized SHIB. I still have small portions of SHIB though, but I’m not expecting to make any profit from this but since cryptocurrency is unpredictable, it is ok to have some.
The hype on Shiba is quite high. This had happened for some reason. At the beginning when no one is aware about Shiba it bounced like anything and had good marketcap as well as gave good return on the investment. The same is being expected and people are investing into it. As said having small portions is really good choice, because if everything goes well we also will get an opportunity to experience the profiting. For now my preference is to buy dogecoin than Shiba.
1067  Economy / Economics / Re: Can I take a loan to invest in bitcoin? on: March 16, 2023, 11:39:36 PM
How can you be sure Bitcoin will go up in the next short time? Bitcoin could fall further. The profit brought from Bitcoin through Spot transactions may not be large but it is still safe. Borrowing money for investment looks risky and consider the risks in security and transactions carefully. Stay away from futures trading when you don't understand it.
Remember that interest rates at this time are at a high level, so it's best to use your savings to make such an investment, it will be much safer.

I think if we can keep investing in Bitcoin we never have to suffer loss. I think now is the right time to invest in Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin has been going through a lot of dumping for some time now.  But a few days ago, the price of Bitcoin was high, but I think that if we invest in Bitcoin, we will have a chance to make a profit in a very short time. Therefore, I think it is very important for me to invest in Bitcoin instead of investing in any other coin.

Investing in Bitcoin will provide greater security than other currencies, but any investment is inherently risky. The most important thing is that we find comfort in money and balance our expenses. If you need money to survive then you will have to liquidate your investment.
I don't argue about the future, but my approach is to limit debt. I've been through it and I feel it's enough.
Not everyone have the mind that feels fulfilment. Same time, people who have risked have got good returns out of the investment. Going for a loan and investing into bitcoin is good, but the same needs a perfect plan and an alternate plan connected to it. If the plan gets failed we should find a way through which we can limit our loss. Such an investment through loan seems to be fair or if everything is in favour of us we should book the profit at the earliest than waiting long, so that capital can be settled and once again the profit can be invested back.
1068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 16, 2023, 11:02:49 PM
The 2nd test match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka should have started by now. Due to rain the match have been suspended. The first test match have created importance and now more will be waiting for the second test match. The brilliance in performance from Williamson took New Zealand towards win and it was really a match completely dominated by Sri Lanka and finally New Zealand grabbed the last ball win which isn't expected. If the days gets reduced, the match will end in a draw and the series will be won by New Zealand.
1069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 16, 2023, 10:56:06 PM
Nepal wins a thrilling match against UAE by 9 runs in DLS method, thereby securing their place in the World cup qualifiers. This is undoubtedly the best achievement for Nepal in the history. Hope for the rise continues. Congratulations to Nepal, but such an unfair result for UAE. The loss due to insufficient light to continue but left a bittersweet taste for UAE side. While it's true that Nepal could have won the game easily by chasing. Fact is, UAE consumed more time and now they must regret not having utilized their time. It's celebration time for Nepal's historic win. Congratulations once again!
It was a really close match and you need to remember they were struggling at one point as they lost their 6th wicket for 225 runs and they were building a partnership for the 7th wicket and a wicket here could have changed the match and fortunately for them the match was decided by DLS.
Much interesting match and with this Nepal recorded its entry to the direct world cup qualifier scheduled this June in Zimbabwe. Now it joins along with Oman, Scotland. Big and lucky day for Nepal, because in no other matches Nepal have recorded a win by DLS method where the overs were reduced due to bad light.
1070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Ponzi Schemes - People are confused. on: March 16, 2023, 10:48:14 PM
This sort of ponzi scheme is mostly what's causing some people to have misconceptions about Bitcoin. I am glad you made the correction, OP. I appreciate that. When I first bought Bitcoin and showed my friend the bitcoin in my wallet, he somehow felt discouraged and asked me why I wasted my money on such a scam thing, but I had to explain to him that Bitcoin is not a scam, and he was like, "Where can I sell the bitcoin?" All those silly questions were because he felt there was nothing like Bitcoin and no market for it. I just feel it is always right for those of us who are at least informed about the reality of Bitcoin to correct people who have misconceptions about it whenever we encounter such people.
Well, OP have done a great work. Not everyone does it. Bitcoin at the beginning days were much used on gambling and for illegal transactions. This itself a negative discussion on bitcoin. Later the same bitcoin have grown good and had been used for investment, transaction, trading needs. People should understand the difference between the ponzi schemes and real potential of bitcoin compared to other cryptocurrencies available for usage.
1071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 15, 2023, 09:35:43 PM
I agree, good match, arguably the best so far in this tournament. Zverev was hitting BIG making Medvedev look like an amateur sometimes. That backhand! Wow! Perhaps he didn't even need that much power to win, just to make less mistakes. Also serve was not that impressive (or Medvedev receiving somewhere in the stands made it look so).  Grin
snip~
Great match by both, I was able to grab a bet on Medvedev in the first set
when the odds went to 2.0 - very nice.

What I'm taking from the match is that Zverev is getting back into his top level of
performance and Medvedev is still in top form to be able to tough it out and take
the win in the 3rd set!

I'm going again with Medvedev v Fokina, he is an unpredictable player and
gets down when things are not going his way.

Medvedev has given his opponent very good competition in this match. Well, actually it was Zverev who has given the competition because Medvedev actually won the match. Never at any point in this match, it felt like it was going to be one sided. The match was always going back and forth. Anyone could have been the winner of this match. In the end, all I can say is it was a good comeback from Medvedev after losing the first set.

I am also going with Medvedev in the next match.
In the quarter finals Medvedev to play against Fokina, who is at his best in the tournament. Earlier he won against Garin to reach the quarter finals winning direct sets. Garin in his round of 32 defeated Ruud in direct sets, so Fokina could give tough fight against Medvedev. Each and every point turned very competing as the first two sets were won through the tie breaker.
1072  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: March 15, 2023, 09:24:08 PM
Anyway, don't underestimate "waggering user" why? because they can reach 2,000 - 5,000$ wagering with only 5-10$. So up to them mate!
You are right, but it has a opposite side too. I was capable of wagering a good amount by using the wagering strategies with small losses. Even I had made profit a lot of times by using the wagering method. But my luck has disappeared and I'm losing 10 times more than I would lose for the house edge. Stake.com has become a money eating machine for me now. I have lost 90% of my deposits at Stake in the last few months.
This happens when your mind takes a transition from wagering to win some amount. While one is into wagering, the prime focus will be to avoid losses and this can be done with high winning chance and low percentage of risk. Even with such strategies we fail, that's our bad luck, but when we try to win and make good profit amidst the focus on wagering we'll easily loss big money and here blaming the particular platform doesn't make sense.
1073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I keep money in the bank or buy bitcoins? on: March 15, 2023, 09:15:16 PM
And besides, the bank can be robbed.

Money that are deposited on the banks are insured so you can definitely get it back even though the bank where you money is robbed.  But of course there is a cap on how much is insured, as long as your savings does not exceed the maximum insured amount, you can get it back 100%.

But if you keep buying bitcoins then bitcoins will not be lost at all. Even if the price drops a bit it will reach such a price and height that your capital will be doubled.  So I think it is better to buy bitcoins than bank.  Then he acts as he pleases.  This is my personal opinion.  thank you

I do agree that buying Bitcoin today is favorable as an investment.  Since Bitcoin is currently at lower price of its ATH, many expect that the price of Bitcoin will rally after the halving.  So it is speculated that putting your money on Bitcoin today will give us a huge profit after a year or two.

Comparing the profit between saving in bank and investing in Bitcoin today, it is obvious that Bitcoin can give us more profit in the long run.
Majority of the people have the same belief, money on the banks were secure than the funds in terms of bitcoin in a wallet. This is true, and now things have changed with the bad economic situation around the world. Just the shut down of Silicon Valley Bank is an example. Not in terms of profit, even in terms of security having bitcoin in non custodial wallet seems to be better than having it stored in the form of cash in a bank.
1074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Europol Sezied 1909 BTC from "Chipmixer" on: March 15, 2023, 06:41:16 PM
Only time can give the right answer. Based on the seizure it looks like the authorities have got solid evidence against the mixer service. If not it isn't possible to seize and shut down the service all of the sudden. One of the reputed service provider accused and shut is completely unexpected. Most of the participants of the promotion were much experienced users, they could've never thought of being into a campaign that had promoted an illegal service support system.
1075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iconic billboard outside SVB on: March 15, 2023, 06:30:10 PM
Grin Grin This is hilarious! Whomsoever is involved is literally a genius in his own way. I am pretty sure the authorities would take some action against the person behind this mischief in due course time. In a way what is written on that advertisement is correct too.
None could've expected such thing infront of the Silicon Valley Bank Head Quarter. This is done with purpose and surely the police department will be searching for the person who done it. The good thing is the spread about bitcoin in the failure of one of the reputed banks of America. I thought someone have done good editing and did it, but the image is real and taken infront of SVB. The person who had done it is really courageous.

RCB Women V DC Women

Batting against Delhi Women's team, RCB Women's team collected 150 runs in 20 overs. Is it enough to win? In the previous match of Delhi vs RCB, the Delhi Capital Women team set a huge target of 223 runs against the RCB bowlers. And the RCB women's team lost the match by 60 runs. RCB's bowling lineup is comparatively weak. So I would say the RCB women's team would have been in the safe zone if they gave more than 180 targets in today's match.

Still, RCB women's team has a chance to win if their bowlers can bowl well. However, Delhi's batting line-up is strong. In the last match to they won by 10 wickets against GG Women's team. So I think 151 runs is not enough to win against Delhi Women's team.

A target of 151 runs cannot be called a big target. I agree with what you mentioned that the Delhi Capitals Women's batting line-up is very strong. Delhi batsmen are in very good form now. But winning today's match will not be easy for Delhi Women's team.

After 9 overs, Delhi Capitals managed to collect 74 runs and they lost three wickets. They need 77 runs from 66 balls to win. They have to collect 7 runs in each over. So far the match is under the control of the Delhi Women's team. But if Delhi loses 2 more wickets, their chances of winning will decrease. Ellyse Perry remains unbeaten with 63 runs. If RCB can pick up Perry's wicket then the match will be competitive.
Ellyse Perry had a good innings. This doesn't look to be a bad performance from Royal Challengers. They managed to score 151 runs, but for Delhi Capitals it is an easy target. With the bowling somehow Royal Challengers managed to move the match till the last over. Once again Royal Challengers weren't able to start their points. Jess Jonassen is the turning point in today's match, she made an unbeaten 29* runs from 15 balls at the right time.
1077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 13, 2023, 11:15:46 PM
Zverev is improving his tennis literally match by match. I think he's getting close to his best form. But in my opinion, he doesn't stand a chance against Medvedev. Zverev also didn't look particularly confident against Ruusuvuori. So, my bet will be on Medvedev. Cool

It was not an easy match for Zverev against Ruusuvuori. He was not really in form either. He had a lot of unforced errors and his first serve was not so good this time either. Nevertheless, it will not be like a walk in the park for Medvedev. I think there will be long rallies and the match will go over 3 sets. But in the end Medvedev will probably win the match.
Both the matches were interesting, as Zverev had a tough fight against Ruusuvuori. First set was a win for Zverev and Ruusuvuori made a comeback in the second set. Finally much fighting third set and Zverev won it 7-5 1-6 7-5

Upcoming match against Medvedev gonna be very competing as both will keep themselves strong to progress for the next round.
1078  Economy / Economics / Re: Planning avoids unnecessary expenses on: March 13, 2023, 11:05:14 PM
It depends and differs between users. From my personal experience most of the unplanned things have happened in the right way whereas planned things gets delayed. As mentioned unnecessary expenses can be avoided with the perfect plans. Whether we plan or does things randomly, we should have the fund to meet unexpected expenses. This can be done with the allocation of miscellaneous fund from our regular savings. In the inflated even with the perfect execution we need additional fund, because the price increase in products are changing everyday.
1079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I managed to convince my senior dad to invest in BTC on: March 13, 2023, 10:58:13 PM
Everyone won't be able to do it. Even the young generation finds it hard to understand the real value of bitcoin and the need for the world. In such scenario making an elderly person to know about bitcoin and invest with confidence is really a great achievement. It isn't easy to believe, only our knowledge and trust can guide through the right way.

Even the people working on technology related stuffs haven't known about bitcoin and existence of more cryptocurrencies. We're at the early days of bitcoin gaining more importance. This will surely make a change in the long term.
1080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing bitcoin to local communities/villagers on: March 13, 2023, 10:43:16 PM
Bitcoin awareness is done much on the African countries than other countries. Countries like Nigeria have got good level of cryptocurrency acceptance. Looking at the pictures, it looks like the people are eager to learn. People need to be educated in the right way, The success of anything comes from the bottom, when these people are able to make use of cryptocurrencies surely a big change can be experienced globally.

Small efforts from these people's is really appreciable and more people need to come forward and do the right way of teaching. Because there are more misleading happening around towards the ponzi and pyramid schemes.
