Lots of people live quiet lives of desperation (i heard that somewhere before?).

Since we are trying to raise the bar here at WO in light of the recent trash content.
Here is something I enjoyed whilst on Holiday in Florence recently.
Lovely

Sorry already started it before taking the photo!

This is a support for Bitcoin pumping. $28k is given as Major Support. And if Bitcoin is dumped beyond this support then Bitcoin $20k may come. And if Bitcoin does not exceed major support, then Bitcoin is likely to go to $40k.

So if we go down we might go down more and if we go up we might go up more? We might also go up if we go down and we might go down if we go up.
Hmmm Thanks.

If you ever feel like watching "Power of the Dog" on the other hand......... I recommend that you just put razor blades in your eyes instead, most useless pile of shyte film I have ever seen..... just fucking awful.

Yeah seen it and your right. Utter cr@p.
Daniel Day Lewis has done some good films.
I also liked Shutter Island with Decaprio.
Original Matrix is one of my favs though.

Man that film was dark.
I remember feeling almost despair after watching it.
It was good though.

When we go sub $30k, who sold at the bottom?  Cry

Who's our next Mindrust?

Dunno but there will be one or even a couple.

The first time that bitcoin crossed this price level (~$34k-ish) to the upside was on 01/02/21. That means that anyone that bought any bitcoin for the first time in the last 17 months and held it is likely underwater, all the while inflation jumped another +15% or so.

That sucks big time. Psychologically, 17 months is a long time for weak hands. (Of course that means that they are still winning vs. stonks with relative losses > 15% during the same period)

I just hope that they have the balls of steel to weather this storm. The tide will turn, and then none of them will be underwater.

I suspect that any noob weak hands have long sold out. Any further selling is likely to be done from players who already have a portfolio of stocks as well as bitcoin and are likely to just treat bitcoin as they do their stocks and sell or buy on FED news. Probably going to get worse before it gets better.
I would have liked to see more gains sooner rather than later but, hey ho, hopefully I wont peg it before it finally gets to where we all know its going. Wen Moon?

Bitcoin is the currency of the Internet:

A distributed, worldwide, decentralized digital money. Unlike traditional currencies such as dollars, bitcoin is issued and managed without any central authority whatsoever: there is no government, company or bank in charge of Bitcoin.

As such, it is resistant to inflation, corrupt banks and self serving govts. It cannot be turned off. It cannot be corrupted. Govts cannot take it from you. Bitcoin has the capability to replace all currencies and last for a thousand years or until something better comes along.

I think we call this 'Preaching to the choir'.

When we go sub $30k, who sold at the bottom?  Cry

Who's our next Mindrust?

Dunno but there will be one or even a couple. Let’s face it though, most of us bought most of our stash a hell of a lot lower than this so for me and I’d assume the majority here, the fear is a lot lower than in previous cycles.
We can afford to let King BTC do what she does, without being crying bitches over it.

If we go to the moon I will be the happiest man alive but if we crash to below $30,000 & beyond I will buy as much of what I sold, back, at a 50% discount (minus capital gains taxes).

Happy fucking days, whichever way she goes.

Will be quite entertaining to see the next Mindrust. Although, I’ll probably not see it unfold live as I’ll be frantically checking buy orders & trying to send MOAR fiat to exchanges.

As you say LFC, It is a lot easier to stomach when you are already up several 1000%. Even though it still looks ugly It isn't as bad as if you got in on the way up before the last ATH and are now below your entry point.
For me, and many of us here, we can sit and watch the world burn in the knowledge that we have already benefited far more than what it originally cost us.
For my fellow bitcoiners who are new to the game my advice is to HODL strong and you will be handsomely rewarded (eventually!).
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Only 150 transactions were made on day one of Coinbase's NFT marketplace on: May 07, 2022, 07:44:27 AM
Its starting to dawn on them all they bought literal shit and it will be a race to the bottom.

I totally agree with you here. Unfortunately all the noise in the 'Crypto' sphere, I believe, detracts from what bitcoin is trying to become, the new world reserve currency, where you can safely store your value and know that nobody can take that from you.
It takes a certain kind of mind to see that and understand the difference from other shitcoins.
Average Joe, however, is just trying to make as much FIAT as possible by jumping on to the bandwagon of the latest shiny new "bitcoin killer". When that doesn't work out and they get rekt it leaves a bitter taste which is then associated with anything crypto (I fear I may receive a batslap soon by jjg) related, even bitcoin.
It is likely to slow the adoption of bitcoin but I don't believe it will halt it. It just might take longer to get to where we are going.
Just a theory though from a pleb that doesn't know much!

Michael Saylor isn't the only institutional Investor into Bitcoin and the market is not control by Michael Saylor either <snip>

You're correct, but he's one of the larger fish, and there is a cubic fucktonne of money tied up in fiat between here and $21k - IMO, would need to be a black-swan event to drop below $20k at this point.

Black Swans seem to be a little more prevalent these days. Still HODLing whatever happens.
Hope you manage to get your head right BLB and lighten your thoughts. I know its hard during these last couple of years but YOLO and all that.  Wink

Huge red dildo, dammit...  Sad
But why? Fiat gets inflation, stocks are overvalued. What else is left other than diversifying?

Yeah makes no sense to me either.
Peeps are taking flight to the currently perceived safe haven, the USD (Ironic as that sounds).
Only when BTC has a long established track record and enough people use it for long enough will people realise that their hard earned is safer in BTC than anything else.
Until then its roller coaster time.
We all know where its going long term and I for one am happy to keep HODLing.
To da Moon brothers.

P.S. Sub 39K again. Another blow to the high leverage longs. They NGMI unless they lower the leverage to ... 1 Smiley The other option is to hang themselves after the gazillionth liquidation. Hodlers dont care  Grin
This turned out to be a massive unexpected long squeeze down to $36500.

What is it with these degenerates?
They just seem to keep doing the same mistake over and over again.
Like a true addicted gambler they believe that 'This time its bound to go my way'
Losers.

Never change the WO name please

I was going to vote yes as a joke but realized if too many of us did that it wouldn't be funny and the joke would be on us! Smiley

Yeah got to be careful with that sort of thing.
I voted Conservative as a joke and look where that got us (UK)!

OT More dumpinings?

Hello guys, this type of article seems interesting to me, I share it because I also believe that BTC's next ATH could be at $ 100K or maybe more:

Bitcoin (BTC) Can Still Ignite Parabolic Rally to $100,000 This Year, According to Top Crypto Analyst – Here’s How

Quote
“I’m expecting $100,000 for the fifth wave, and when it does complete, wherever that may be above $100,00… I think we’ll probably fall somewhere between $100,000 and $200,000 realistically…

and:

Quote
Credible is a popular practitioner of the Elliott Wave theory, a technical analysis approach that predicts future price action by following crowd psychology that tends to manifest in waves. According to the theory, the fifth wave is the final rally of an uptrend.

As for how Bitcoin can revitalize its bullish momentum, Credible says that the same traders that are expecting BTC to drop to $28,000 will fuel the rally to $100,000 once they realize it may not dip to where they want.

Source: https://dailyhodl.com/2022/05/03/bitcoin-btc-can-still-ignite-parabolic-rally-to-100000-this-year-according-to-top-crypto-analyst-heres-how/

I know that many do not see this scenario in the short term, but I am a faithful believer of Bitcoin, and at the time nobody expects it will have a great rally so big that everything will seem crazy, some Hodlers are waiting for this price, but when it reaches the $ 100K I think it will go down, and then this barrier will pass.

TBH I have stopped caring about the USD value of my bitcoin.
We all know where the USD is going so whats to compare?
What matters is what we (Us in the WO thread and the eventual billions of others) believe bitcoin to be worth.
When that happens, We are all set.
TL;DR HODL

Boris Johnson pledging a further £300 million to Ukraine. We have already committed more than £1.5 billion in military equipment and £100s of millions in further assistance via loans and humanitarian aid. Not that I suspect anyone is keeping count. It's only taxpayers' money after all.

Mourners forced to rent coffins – media

Surging inflation in the UK appears to be behind the growth of casket-renting services.

Cash-strapped Brits are renting temporary coffins for funeral services before having their loved ones buried in cardboard, the Sun reported on Monday. Funeral directors say the cost-saving measure is becoming more popular as Brits struggle with a skyrocketing cost of living.

Your last line made me giggle (I know I am dark). "Brits struggle with a skyrocketing cost of living". More like Brits struggle with a skyrocketing cost of dying!!

After Warren Buffet's statements about the BTC

Warren Buffet and this guy Jorge have to be the biggest hodlers in BTC.......The more you deny an asset the more likely you are to be suppressing the price for your own gains.

Mark Cuban owner of Dallas Mavericks and Shark on Shark Tank TV series was completely a naysayer until one day, Bitcoin was a great investment!

It's possible that Warren Buffett is secretly buying bitcoin, and BRK will one day announce a huge position.

Although...my bet is on Warren (or someone like him) being the next "clown show" during a new bull run.

Here's how it would go down:

1. Price starts to run up bigly.

2. Warren Buffett 'begrudgingly' announces that he/BRK took a huge position in bitcoin, is somewhat optimistic, but still doesn't quite understand it.

3. Price runs up more, then eventually bubble tops.

4. Warren announces that he is going to divest from his bitcoin position, because a) it's a useless commodity, b) uses too much energy, c) he still doesn't get it, or d) all of the above.

5. Price crashes.

It would pretty much follow the same clown show script as the Elon Musk pump and dump shitshow that we got last year. If not Warren, it'll be someone like him, someone very publicly visible. Maybe Bill Gates, etc. TPTB always need a new bullish 'patsy' during a new bull run.

Whats worrying about this is that there are people who hang on every word these clowns spout. Which is the very reason the price acts so irrationally.
Have people forgotten how to think for themselves?
Honestly, the older I get the more despairingly I look upon the human race.

Hi Ya,
Long time no see.

$15.99 + shipping, and you can probably pay with bitcoin as excellion redirects you to the GloBee payment gateway.

https://www.excellion.com/product/fck-you-money-mug/

Thank you for sharing the link I literly thought of buying the cup but when I see $20 shipping charges and total price $35.00 i thought sand **** it and instead of BTC cup why not have real bitcoin and I added another $14.01 bought 0.0011 BTC yeah, clever move isn't it?

There's a few of us who regret buying things with bitcoin years later, like Jimbo's twenty thousand dollar bitcoin baseball hat. That cup could turn out to be very expensive in a few years.

*drying off with $8,000 towel.*

I'm currently using a $2000 Trezor...

I have a couple $1,300 sandwiches

Dont forget my $33,000 iphone 6..

(1.8 BTC on feb 2016)

Been there done that.
Amongst the few purchases I have a $10,000 DJI Mavic (Bought when I cashed in my Bcash after the fork).
Also spent 10 BTC a few years ago to pay off the mortgage (£30,000 back then).
Still dont regret the mortgage payoff as I allowed my wife and I to retire early and gave us peace of mind.
I still use the drone though but whenever I fly it I always think "thats 10 grand up there" which makes flying a little nerve wracking.
