It looks like Manchester United have moved to increase their bid for Inter Milan as it is currently reported that Manchester United have offered a new option to reach a deal at a price of €50m compared to the previous offer of around €40m. I think Inter Milan will consider this second offer as it is close to their asking price of €60m.

So it is very likely that this transfer will reap success when seen from the seriousness of Manchester United in recruiting Onana. So if you look at the results of this sale, of course Inter Milan will be very lucky because they brought Onana before at a fairly cheap price.
Manchester United have no other choice but to force themselves to increase their bid for Andre Onana. De Gea has left the club on a free transfer, so if Manchester United don't complete the Onana move, then they will have a lot to lose next season. But then, I wonder if Inter will agree with Manchester United's value?

In my opinion, Andre Onana might not be suitable for a value as high as 60 million euros. The quality is good, but it's a rather insane value for a goalkeeper who is 27 years old. Manchester United have to be very realistic about their high bids, but I think there are plenty of other young goalkeepers they should consider.

to be real, Manchester United has nothing to lose if they refuse to renew De Gea contract and also fail to sign Onana, infact to me; it will be the best decision by the clubside. The clubside has Dean Henderson who is a capable goal keeper but will rather spend 60M on A goalkeeper when the team does not have any striker to lead the frontline this season. To me, thats a bad decision

Big news for Spanish La Liga as Carlo Ancelloti has signed a pre contract to head the Brazil national team right from June 2024 (The end of next season). These signing means that Real Madrid has at least 10 months to find a quality manager to coach their young squad who has lots of potentials too.

Massive season ahead for Real Madrid; how would Spanish teams react to this news? Time will tell.
What do you think about Carlo Ancelloti decision too? Tell us below.

Brazil has officially announced that Carlo Ancelotti, the current Real Madrid manager, is going to take charge of Brazil from June 24, 2024. Carlo Ancelotti joins Brazil after a long wait Brazil have finally managed to sign Carlo Ancelotti. Brazil have been without a regular manager for a long time and we have seen the effect in the last few friendlies. Carlo Ancelotti is still almost a year away from taking charge of Brazil. I hope that Carlo Ancelotti will be able to bring the Brazilian team back to its former state after taking charge of Brazil.

This is a very brilliant news, not just for the Brazilian national team; but also for Real Madrid fans and lovers; its been long over due for Carlo to quit Real Madrid after an inconsistent season. Glad that theres a mutual consent and agreement in place to that effect. Now Real Madrid players can start working on giving Carlo  the best send off gift in the coming season.

With Carlo Ancelotti experience over the years; Brazilians will hope that he can do an excellent job ahead of the worldcup in 2026

This is a quality signing by Manchester united and ten hag this summer; a signing tha improves their midfield options, their creative option and also bolster their squad depth. Hopefully Chelsea are prepared for this because Mason Mount is Chelsea best creator and also best attacking midfielder since he made his debut. Lots to anticipate!!!

With regards to the Manchester United iconic NO 7, Mount cannot be burdened as a midfielder; also with Mounts Grit and strong character; i have believes that he would thrive under Ten Hag set up

Was Nigeria actually paying subsidy on fuel?

Yes, Nigeria pays subsidy; it was signed into law by the then president Olusegun Obasanjo; back then, subsidy fee was cheap and very affordable and later on as supply increases; the fee for subsidy also increases. Under the Goodluck Jonathan presidential reign; there were multiple cases of over inflated subsidy fee; back them after several consultations, single digit inflation and $ at 158 Naira; GEJ Quoted and said

if you cannot find the source of thievery; you end the source.
Naively citizens fell for political agendas and subsidy + subsidy scam continued.

Under the APC Led government; they increased subsidy fee to about 500% of actual value in just 8 years. Even after govt claims to have removed subsidy; the subsidy scam continues till today with NNPC pegging a price instead of permitting independent sourcing, independent price company.

Today, it is confirmed that PSG has officially gotten Luis Enrique as their new manager after dismissing the previous manager "Christophe Galtier" due to some anti racial and religious stance. Also couple of players has been confirmed too for PSG as they head into the new season. PSG signings look like Mid players on paper; perhaps Enrique can work magic with them.

67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you favor betting on spesific sport? on: July 03, 2023, 09:30:16 PM
I am just curious to know why people favor one Sport over another, when it comes to betting? Is there specific Sport that increase your win chance or do you bet on those Sport for other reasons?

I know most people will favor certain Sport, because they know more about the players or the teams and information is power, when it comes to betting... but some Sport are 50/50 when it comes to the outcome of the match. (One lucky punch or kick can make a underdog a champion)

Please share your thoughts...  Tongue

I believe people favor specific sports because thats where their strenght lies. Like every other field, the biggest way to earn consistently from gambling is if you focus on your strenght. And this is where the specific sports come in.

For some, Tennis is king
For some, they are prolific at basketball bets
For some, Volleyball is theirs
For some, Football it is and so on and so even including casino bets and virtual bets too.

I have a short review that helps football gamblers

I don't agree with you, Ancelotti had everything he wanted to have this season, and in the end, he couldn't win the title against an unexperienced and young coach like Xavi also he lost some El Clasico games this season and in the champions league he couldn't play in the final match, these all can show us that Ancelotti is not the best coach and I think for any reason if  Ancelotti leaves Rel Madrid Zidane can be a good option and even better option for them.

I agree with you; the truth is that everyone in Spanish la liga admits that Carlo Ancelotti is past it except Real Madrid; it is unsure why the Madrid board continues with the talisman; yes he is good for the coach, but he is past it and needs to retire haha. Zidane looks like someone waiting for the France Job; unlikely to work for any clubsides until then.

Also, Ancelotti has been able to replace the aging squad members with excellent signings; kudos for that!!!

The effect of Saudi teams in the market was not something small, they spend huge amounts of money to hire the players they want, and since many other teams and players are not expecting to see this amount of money they ask for higher offers and this changed the market situation, which is hard for many other teams with a bad financial situation.

I think the effects of the Saudi teams are not that bad as being portrayed by the media; this is something that happens in every transfer window. At some point it was PSG buying every best gems in Europe to France, at some point it was Real Madrid splashing the cash to get Galaticos, Even Manchester City had their fair share; splashing lots of money on players in the market transfer, and Barcelona is not left out too. Now it is time to the Saudi league to flex the wealth of their football team, get the necessary viewers and fame too.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 02, 2023, 08:06:30 PM
Arsenal had failed to maintain their consistency due to injuries and most likely fatigue too as the same players were the ones playing all the time. But I don’t really get what you meant by Arsenal not having a winning mentality. I think they’ve got a winning mentality and that’s why they had been leading the league table for a while.

One of the reasons Arsenal failed last season was due to Arteta poor management in the crucial stages; and somehow it passes everyone radar. Arteta as arsenal boss made some changes that disrupted Arsenal game play and kickstarted the poor performances. One is rushing Jesus back from injury, then benching Fit and firing Trossard for the just getting fit Gabriel Jesus; second poor decision was refusing to drop or rest Saka despite heavy and obvious burn out from the right winger. With better squad depth; i hope he improves in that aspects.

I have also heard that Liverpool are interested in Mbappe. But I don't know if it is vice versa. Because Mbappe's priority has been Real Madrid so far. However I must admit that Liverpool have also a game plan that would fit him in a great way. They also like to play a fast football rather than a boring ball possession game. This is a plus for Liverpool as for their interest in him. But like I said I would expect him to hear from Real Madrid absolutely. In case of getting a favourable offer from them I don't think Liverpool can do anything about it.

But while people are whispering like there will be an offer of 300 million euros by Liverpool things can get quite interesting to follow.  Grin

Mbappe to Liverpool looks good on paper; but i do not agree that this is what Liverpool needs this new season because in entire Europe atm, only Manchester city, Manchester united and Real Madrid can afford to buy Mbappe. With MCFC already glued with Alvarez and Haaland; and MUFC needing a different type of forward in their ranks. Spain, and Santiago Bernabue is the only realistic destination for Mbappe.
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 30, 2023, 09:45:45 PM

I personally believe that the best thing to do at this moment for them would be getting a pure striker, doesn't have to be Kane but it has to be at least a good striker, a Bayern level striker, if they can get that then the rest of the squad will do amazingly well eventually.

Bayern Munich 100% needs a pure striker to join the squad to improve their chances next season; the only problem is that Bayern Munich are looking for a striker in the wrong places and the wrong club sides. Why? Kane doesn't look likely to leave English premier league with the goalscoring record in view; while Napoli's Osinhem is not leaving Italy this summer too irrespective of the offers.

Bayern Munich needs to decide soon, maybe a striker from Portuguese league or South American leagues

He must be really worth the amount for Liverpool to have agreed to pay that much for him during this time when Liverpool are doing so much to cut expenses and manage money. It will be very good if as a player, he is able to fit in really quickly and not struggle to find a place in the team and play to full potential like the way Gakpo and Darwin Nunez struggled to fit in. Liverpool were able to survive last season and still managed to qualify for win European competition, this season will be a season where they try to win that competition and also qualify for the Champions League next season while they still contest to win the Premier League. They are a team that can do it, they have the players and the coach.

When it comes to summer targets, or player signings. Liverpool do not waste time at all. What liverpool does is match your offer; you accept or decline; and they move on; i do not think Liverpool bid 2 times for a plyer. it is a strategy that has always worked. For Vam Dijk, for Allison, even Salah; and recently for Gakpo and Nunez.

Gakpo and Nunez has not been a bad signing, they have good numbers and will do better in the coming season. Smart deal for Liverpool, paying Szoboszlai release clause and moving on to the next summer target.

Primer League season 2023/2024 will begin on August 12 2023 and seems one month left for watching most competitive league around the world, in this season has three promotion teams will participants in Primer League from Burnley, Shifield United and Luton Town. Usually before primer league start, any teams has pre season matches but they will not play with full teams and manager will use that chance trying with new player or giving chance for young player.

Manchester City as the winner last season will try to defend their Primer League tittle, no doubt with Citizen for winning Primer League back to back because they have consistent performance regarding last season performance actually after losing few points left from Arsenal but finally success back to the top position standing.

Give your vote for Primer League winning teams for season 2023/2024.

The premier this season will be an interesting one no doubt. Because literallly every team is getting rejuvenated for a massive challenge.

Manchester city is improving their squad depth and looking to sign a new defender and an attacker;
while Arsenal are signing quality players to improve their squad depths.
Liverpool is replacing Keita, chamberlain and Firmino sharply,
while Manchester united improves their midfield and look forward to improving their attack line with Greenwood and another CF.
Have you seen Newcastle United signings and Aston Villa signings ??

Massive season ahead
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: June 29, 2023, 03:49:54 PM
What conditions please? Will you care to explain more in details the conditions that you mean. Do you think that without the very high tempting transfer fees that players will willingly want to move to Saudia Arabia to play in their league just because of the conditions that you have mentioned? I do not think so. The money is the major reason for many of the players that have joined. Only a few players who really like European football and have considered that their family will not be comfortable with it has refused the move to Saudia Arabia. Money is a very strong factor.

Footballers play football every year because of money; it doesn't matter if they play in English Premier League, La Liga or the Saudi leagues. Also i need you to understand that the players are able to bag a transfer to Saudi League because they are quality players and can still perform effectively.

Please remember that footballers play football for money  Wink

This poll is purely for fun, I would like to hear your opinion on the best gambling games out there, and I wonder which games are the most popular in our community. I am sure there are numerous less-known gambling games played around the world,  so if you choose "Other," please specify the game in the comments section below, and I will add it to the poll.

Let's vote and see which games we find most exciting, entertaining, or rewarding. Smiley

I do enjoy sports betting gambling and i guess this is because i enjoy watching sports as a hobby. Atleast i have excellent knowledge of football, volleyball and tennis, and i have a little knowledge about basketball games. Football is entertaining and rewarding, likewise tennis and basketball; sometimes volleyball can be boring haha. It is great to see other peeps opinions too, but where do you guys watch the poker games?

77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which League Makes Sports Betting Easy to Win? on: June 29, 2023, 12:28:27 PM
A tipster on one of the social media platforms advised his hundreds of followers that making money from sports betting is easier if they stop betting on European Football, which has just concluded, and focus on the Singaporean leagues, South American Leagues, and the Scandinavian leagues. Although some of his followers agreed that they've won some bets in those leagues, they also cautioned that there is a huge likelihood of match fixing occurring there as well. So everyone should be careful. I have never bet on those leagues as I am too careful. Can anyone share their experience with betting in these other leagues and make a comparison between betting there and betting in the Champions League, EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie Do not mention match fixing(it has been earlier pointed out), but talk about which is easier to win in and how much you made in comparison.

All countries have their own advantages when it comes to sports betting. To my understanding i will highlight few of what i have noticed.

  • If you play draw bets, then you need to look inward and target South American football leagues, Singaporean football leagues and also Some African football  leagues.
  • If you play over 1.5 or over 2.5 bets, then you can look inward to Australia football leagues, some European leagues and more importantly Netherland division 2 football league.
  • If you play under 2.5 bets, Africa football league is for you as well as South American Football leagues.
  • If you enjoy Straight wins, or double chance; then European football league is easy to ascertainn this type of bet.
  • If you want to play any time goal scorer; then European leagues works best for this especially europe top 5 leagues.

There are numerous ways to earn from sports betting, Volleyball betting, Basketball betting and Tennis better. Find your nitch, develop it and you can win. Make sure to bet with sense, Bet only with Spare money.

79  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Teacher and Classmates Labeling Bitcoin as a Ponzi Scheme or a Scam on: June 28, 2023, 10:59:00 AM
Story time  Grin
My nephew, who is around 15 years old, has gained knowledge about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies through exposure to discussions between his father (my brother) and me, as we frequently talk about bitcoin. Whenever he has free time from school or chores, we allow him to listen in on our conversations and ask any curious questions he may have. For instance, he often asks questions like, "Uncle, what is bitcoin?" or "Is it a type of currency? Can I have one?" We do our best to explain the concept to him, but sometimes he grasps it easily while other times he struggles to understand. What I do know is that this young boy is displaying a keen interest in the subject.

Recently, he expressed his frustration about his teacher and classmates labeling bitcoin as a ponzi scheme or a scam each time he talks about it. I'm seeking a variety of advice that I can offer to my nephew in this situation. Although his father suggested that he should stop discussing bitcoin, I don't feel comfortable with that approach. What are your thoughts on this matter?

In a situation like this; you need to go into the perspective of the teacher and the classmates. If you continue to be on the defence with regards to bitcoin; then you will not be able to change the narratives in the teachers mind or after thought.

What to do?
  • Let your nephew ask for the teachers experience with regards to Bitcoin, if you recall there are so many ponzi schemes around that uses Bitcoin, Trx and other tokens for the ponzi scheme; it could be that the teacher got involved with BTC in scenarios like that.
  • After learning the teachers experience with BTC, only then can you help the teacher understand the difference between BTC, crypto currency and ponzi scheme. This approach should work fine.

If you have N100,000 how would you invest it? H

Well, don't be harsh on me haha. theres literally no investment you can make with 100,000N; I have tried to think about it but i cannot process it thoroughly.

Do you want to go into retail sales? Factor in inflation and low spending power; do you think it is sustainable idea?
Do you want to try crypto currency investment? convert it and its $140+, what are you going to buy with that amount in the crypto space that won;t be funny, btc? eth ?
Do you want to save it into Vbank (one of the best savings bank in the country)? even  at that  savings works best with high deposits

In situations like this with 100k; just buy food or save with vbank (the interest rate would wow you, you can read up on this)
