I agree with you; the truth is that everyone in Spanish la liga admits that Carlo Ancelotti is past it except Real Madrid; it is unsure why the Madrid board continues with the talisman; yes he is good for the coach, but he is past it and needs to retire haha. Do real Madrid really need a change of coach as you speculated because the coach is doing a great job recruiting the best and finest players for the next season and in the Spanish La Liga,  Real Madrid has the best squad possible to establish a commendable team that will help real Madrid to recover their previous position both in the la Liga and champion leagues respectfully.
