721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Browser add-ons are just not safe on: April 02, 2020, 01:09:14 PM
I heard a ledger chrome extension have stolen up to 2.5million in crypto, Users are asked to input their 24-word seed, which allows scammers access to the wallet’s contents. This is why I hate add-ons for chrome or Firefox, they aren't safe at all but how come people are falling for this cheap trick that have been around since years ago now?

⚠️NEVER share your 24 words
⚠️NEVER enter your 24 words into any internet-connected device
⚠️Ledger will NEVER ask for your 24 words

When will people learn?

You seem to generalize events often in your threads, not good enough.

Secondly, you cannot say browser add ons are not safe, instead you say only verified desktop addons are safe. Extension add ons on browsers is just like google play store, where anyone can set up their add ons for all.

Meta Mask, Google Authenticators  and even Origin OGN add on extension are example of verified add ons on browsers.

My advice for everyone is to do their research, and trace the source of any add ons you use on your computer.
Stay safe.

https://www.publish0x.com/boyka/corona-coin-another-exit-scam-yes-it-is-the-third-time-xklnxp?a=l9avrPVaG1&tid=scam3

It is the third time 1 developer exit scams, they are making a new coin for a third time, i also think the developers have another project called Proof of Nature. Be carefull.

This is why elementary studies of crypto currency must not be neglected.
Before you do anything in the crypto currency space, the first thing is to do your own research and be sure that it is the right research.

Now you say the developer is exiting scaming the third time, which means we refused to learn from the 1st and second exit scam.

Everyone needs to do lots of researches before spending.
723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LATOKEN, Probit, What else? on: April 01, 2020, 06:30:25 PM
After LATOKEN targeted by shit token/project to conduct an IEO, nowadays I see they glanced at PROBIT and hell yeah, that exchange become popular by shit project. I wonder who's the next exchange, lol

LOL, i don't know what you mean by shit token targeting exchanges, they pay bills to the exchange platforms.

As an investor, probit, latoken and its likes are not supposed to be on your look out or list of exchanges.
But as a bounty hunter, you have a choice, you can choose to promote tokens on both exchanges or basically ignore.

No need to scrutinize any exchange, people make profits from them, thats why its still existent.

My opinions, im not an advocate for any.
dyor
724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you received coins or tokens that you forgot that you promoted on: April 01, 2020, 06:21:29 PM
I am not sure this has happened to me before, some could call it unlucky lol.
I have participated in so many bounties and be faced with two options, its either i get paid, or team refuses to pay.

But to be honest, 2018 till today, if i receive a token from the past, i would definitely not remember
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: CMC Misleading new projects on: April 01, 2020, 06:05:23 PM
Coinmarketcap is the real reason why so many new projects devs are misleaded, they go to CMC and pick from the top rated exchanges to list their tokens because CMC gives all bad exchanges good rating, that's very misleading

Maybe now that Binance CZ is about to take over, new projects developers will start making the right decision about those Exchanges

There is no problem to be a fan of binance or cz or both, but it is wrong to falsely accuse coinmarketcap. They have terms and conditions as regards token that can be listed there.

Away from that, coinmarketcap needs to maintain its in-dependency from other exchanges, that is the beauty of decentralization.
Binance should remain binance, while coinmarketcap should also remain independent.

We can't have an exchange platform control the whole market price and volume platform.

728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Innovation is key, but good community is more important. on: March 31, 2020, 06:21:06 PM
You have mentioned two core values of a solid and reliable project in the crypto currency space.

Because, they are entwined and vice versa, why ? If you have good products and a weak community base, no one to use your product and the project goes off like a flame.
But if you have a community base that trusts and believe in the project, every products will be used, practiced and utilized, which causes natural  hypes and high prices of products in the crypto currency space.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance after Coinmarketcap on: March 31, 2020, 06:06:38 PM
If binance CEO and team take over CMC then you guys should be ready for a whole new level of ratings, here are few things I expect from Binance

1. Liquidity rating will finally works
2. Many fraudulent projects will be kicked out
3. Many fake volume exchanges will be exposed or even red tagged

So far I haven't seen a capable team like binance team, if crypto is going to reach a whole new milestone then this is how it will begins

It is good tidings that binance is setting the pace in the crypto currency
and taking over coinmarketcap will definitely be a big acquisition, if we consider the competence of binance and cz.

But i have a question that bothers me and i would like to know if i can get an answer, with binance at the center of crypto currency trade, and now wanting to get coinmarketcap. Is binance trying to centralized the decentralized space by acquiring all ?

Just a thought that pops, i will like suggestions
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 90% Of Project Bounties Are Scams on: March 30, 2020, 07:47:11 PM
90% Of Project Bounties Are Scams

If I see a project that appeared in 2018 until now has experienced a very significant setback. Most of them are con artists. Fraud that often occurs in the form of postponement of time, not paying the completion of the campaign, not being listed in the exchange, locking up tokens for a very long time, even some who cannot make withdrawals.

There is also something that happens with changes to the wallet payment to the platform in a short duration, so we did not know there was a change. And when we ask easily they answer the distribution period is over. Really we are like dealing with extraterrestrials.

They make campaign participants like their helpers. Change the rules of work as they please, some even delete from the list of campaigns, even though they have worked for up to a month.

Do they not think that we spend a lot of time campaigning for their projects.

All they have to know is that the services of campaign participants are very large towards the success of a project. It is they who continue to provide information to the public.

I hope the bounty manager can check each project before it is managed, and for cheat managers, stop cheating.

I think it has always been like that since time past, 90% of bounty program have always been scam or none paying.
The reason why it is obvious lately especially this year is because there are fewer bounty programs, and the gap is greatly felt.

Regarding rules change, it has been stated already that rules are liable to be changed by the team.
Just dyor, understand the rules before participation
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange tokens on: March 30, 2020, 07:40:21 PM
Who would have thought that exchange tokens can be huge as they are today? Back in 2017 I never thought that exchange can use token on their platform and make it very valuable, look at binance exchange and Okex exchange, very profitable they are today for every early adopters, any ways that's that, how about now? What exchange do you think will be huge in near future?

I do not think profits from exchange token is all about early adopters as we all assume it to be, why do i say so ?

Way back 2016/2017, investors came into crypto currency to prepare for the future, and doing that, discovered rare gems, in which binance token and okex token were one of the few survivors today.

In the near future, i strongly believe that hydax token will do well, and atleast be closer to binance and okex than other exchanges.
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will crypto space look like? on: March 30, 2020, 07:30:33 PM
What will crypto space look like if all the coins we have now is just 20 pieces? And that is it, no thousands or hundreds allow, I wonder how profitable they will be because there will be badass huge volume and huge investors too, I think crypto problem is the quantity of coins we have

Don't let it shock you that if in reality there are only 20 tokens today in crypto currency 80% will still be shit.
and the few stand out tokens will continue to share the big volumes and investors, while the rest battle with pump and dumps until they fade away.

What we experience today in thousands of tokens, what exactly what was experienced in the early days of crypto currency, the only difference i notice, is that investors has wisened up.
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the heck is happening to new projects? on: March 30, 2020, 01:02:13 PM
I think new projects are finding it hard to stamp their authorities in the crypto world today. and that can be attributed to few reasons such as

Inability to raise funds through private sales or crowdfunding
Repetition of existing projects in the crypto space, which means they do not introduce anything unique and has a use case.

Just as you stated, project listing on certain exchanges are definitely bound to fail.
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When is altcoin season??? on: March 29, 2020, 03:56:20 PM
In the past, altcoins have enjoyed immense gains during altseasons. Well this happens only if there is Bitcoin dominance... And I believe there are two types of principles to follow them

* Bitcoin dominance Increases when more and more people buy and simply hold BTC.

* Bitcoin dominance decreases when more and more people sell BTC.

So altcoins fate is purely depend on BTCs price reaction or altcoins are independent???guys please share your thoughts on this.

An altcoin season is actually a moment where 80% of altcoins experience a significant increase in price, volume and maintains a high price for couple of days,
But in crypto currency, there hasn't be an altcoin season without bitcoin experiencing a bull run.

So altcoins mooning sequentially is dependent on bitcoin experiencing a bull run because most trade pairs are btc pegged.

735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto changes. on: March 29, 2020, 03:43:55 PM
Today many people stating that the bitcoin is rapidly falling because of the outbreak coronavirus, it is because they are limiting the transactions for over the world and stop trading for a while but they forgot the whales those are the people who can be responsible for this changes because they have the huge amount of coins holding from the previous analysis still there is a 42% of the coins still not circulating for over two years and this is a cause too why the market price of the cryptocurrency is not good enough again. If you can see the market price of the coin having changes and going up rapidly in just a single day and back to lower price this is because of the whales they are diving into the dip and grabbing the opportunity collect coins as many as they can because the halving will be coming in the next few months and expect that the market price of the coins will back to huge changes.

Whales aside, we should not forget that bitcoin is not exempted from dumps.
The pandemic shook the world, forced people to rush in for fiats, and investors got in at chance and bought low,

When it comes to bitcoin prices, or altcoins there will always be whales, and theres a saying that states that it is good to buy low, so when you sell high, you will be in great profit.

Dyor, and get your trade basics intact.
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: March 29, 2020, 03:39:22 PM
How do you survive in the current market situation?
If the bounty project is no longer profitable, what do you do now?

I have been occupied with a bounty program already, so it was easy to reduce the pressure of trading daily.
Disregard suggestions that tells you that bounty is no longer profitable, if you sit deep, relax and do due diligence research you would get reliable and rewarding bounties to work with.

Always dyor.
737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will 2020 be exactly what we hoped for anymore on: March 29, 2020, 03:36:01 PM
Good day friends and family on here, here are few questions disturbing my little mind since I wasn't expecting this virus this year, I thought this year will actually be the best since years ago, but it seems I'm wrong

1. Will Bitcoin halving have impact on crypto market this year with the virus outbreak?
2. Is Coronavirus benefiting crypto at all?
3. Will New projects be able to proceed with launching and development in this outbreak?
4. What do you think will happen to bounties this year ?

The basics i think we should not forget is that this is crypto currency, where the unexpected happens so quickly.
The pandemic rightly has caused multiple panics with bearish markets setting in, and it has stalled progress.

No new projects with good intents will go ahead and list their project at this time, they are better off developing the products and ensure it will be of good use.
Bounties have been boring, but if you are quick enough, you can get in the available superb ones.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will a company grow if they acquire Private Investments? on: March 28, 2020, 02:24:20 PM
Blockchain firm AVA Labs acquired private investment platform Investery to further expand its operations.

Acquiring Investery will expand AVA Labs’ capabilities in managing private financial assets. The acquired firm provides a platform that assists investors in researching, managing and transacting in private markets while also helping issuers create new private financial assets. Furthermore, the solution includes multiple marketplaces, allowing investors to see their full inventory in one place.

Can other companies get successful if they do the same thing as what AVA did? I guess it will depend on the team to see how they use the funds effectively.

We all need to understand that the growth of a project is not dependent on havinf private partnership and investments all around.
We need to understand that it depends on what such project has to offer, (product). We have several such tokens with lots of partnership and nothing to show for it.

Digitex futures has been on demo for such a long time now, i am fed up
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: New suggestion for unpaid bounties on: March 28, 2020, 02:21:36 PM
What did you learn in altcoins, those projects didn't paid bounty hunters even after successful. We can gather information by all unpaid bounties and with reasons why didn't paid. For us this is very hard when our good research is successful but admin cheated to bounty hunters. List why didn't paid, your experience and history about unpaid projects

I learnt that irrespective of the various excuses mentioned differently by different projects as to why they would not pay for bounty works done, it is more about personality.
Most projects right from the start of bounty campaigns, already concluded not to pay hunters.

Thats why excuses are not far fetched from them. The best case scenario is to just dyor and avoid such cases.
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending crypto to a non-crypto person through Facebook? on: March 28, 2020, 02:13:35 PM
I think sending it through facebook for newbies or non crypto person is gonna make it complicated for them to understand how it works or implications of making a mistake.
I think the best way is to educate them about the basics, encourage them to get a trust wallet, or coinomi wallet, or imtoken 2.0 wallet for starters, teach them how to secure their secret phrases, and how to send /  receive bitcoin.

Once they pick up interest, we can then teach facebook bitcoin integration.
