61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of social media channels on: October 02, 2020, 04:46:09 PM
I think it's necessary to always stay connected to a project's social media channels and telegram channels to know the update and development of the project. As for the bounty hunters, they should always keep in touch to the project's development through social media and telegram channels. Because it is where news and outcomes are announced.
Keeping up to date with the social media channels is necessary for the long term investors too because the performance can easily be monitored from the reviews of the posts and tweets of the project handles on social media. If there is a lot of negativity then there should surely be something bad in the project and thus the investor should get out of the project soon, now a days it's become pretty hard to decide which project is a scam and which isn't.
62  Economy / Economics / Re: FOLLOW THIS RULES TO BECOME RICH on: October 02, 2020, 04:02:43 PM
Quote
Rule 24 The Most Important Rule
If your rich, famous, powerful ,beautiful, healthy, loved that does not mean you are smart ,or your parents/family are smart . It's just your fate given to you .
So this last rule defies all the above rules as you are saying if the person is rich then it isn't because of his hard work or his dedication, it's totally because of the fact that it was written in his fate. I don't think that's true at all, it's upto the person always whether he become successful or not. If we study hard to achieve what we want in our life then we will surely be better off as compared to leaving things for the fate to decide.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: October 02, 2020, 03:20:49 PM
Criminals choose fiat currencies because it remains the most private currency at the moment! This is the hardest (almost impossible) to track! Fiat is accepted everywhere!
Although cryptovalues are also a good aid, though they are difficult to exchange for fiat (LOL) and it's not accepted everywhere!
The most important thing for criminals is to launder the I'll gained money and that is way too easy to do if the money is in cash as compared to cryptocurrencies. Do everyone here think that the criminals even know how to use a computer properly, most of them only know the use of guns n all. Also Cryptocurrencies are only good for those criminals that are using internet as a means of their livelihood where they can earn money in a pretty anonymous way by taking bitcoins instead of paypal or other methods that aren't anonymous at all.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty scam will gradually go away on: October 01, 2020, 07:38:08 PM
I agree with you that the bounty scam will be reduced gradually. Some of our forum members are fighting against scammers constantly. But we must be alert all time. Because scammers will not sit still. They are always trying to find new ways to scam people. At present their preferred way is DeFi projects or ICO. So we have to be careful about this.
Bounties will still be there, all the Scammers are trying out these Bounties as a means of getting free advertising as once they will be finished with the project then these Scammers will not be paying the participants any money because the same has actually happened here in the past as well. So the same can happen in the future as well don't you think?? I just hope that these scams going on in the name of DeFi will be reduced in the future.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are DeFi projects trustless? on: October 01, 2020, 06:25:26 PM
I can say some projects are very good. But if you check all the recent defi projects then you will see a lot of dumping and pumping on the market. Its now looks like gambling to me to invest in any DeFi. But I like some DeFi like DIA, Chainlink and I think these are some gems within a lot of ordinary DeFi project. Some project is very good because of its real use case.
Most DeFi projects are just pump and dump coins, only a handful coins like the ones that are official coins of the decentralized exchanges are good ones to invest in, other is comp token which is really good one. Developers are rushing in to make money on the DeFi projects because of the fact that people are investing in these projects like crazy and without analysing the use case and also even when the project is not even having a Whitepaper.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW CAN ONE KNOW A FAKE AIRDROP? on: October 01, 2020, 05:10:10 PM
To tell you the truth, it can be hard sometimes to tell the good ones from the fake airdrops. I look for a well written whitepaper, if they don't have this you shouldn't bother by signing up or doing tasks for them. Often they only wants you maillist, or your twitter, or your facebook details.
Often times the white paper is also plagiarised and the project seems obviously fake which is definitely a red flag and hence that airdrop is to be avoided, other than that I research about the team members on LinkedIn and other platforms where if they are active then it is a positive sign and thus I take part in those airdrops. Out of the airdrops that I have selected only a few give me good profit and others are just like doing work for a few pennies.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the future holds for bitcoin on: October 01, 2020, 04:12:13 PM
Really it's the best time to accumulate bitcoin. Popularity and acceptability is increasing day by day. As it's demand is increasing, its value is also increasing. It is expected that bitcoin value will much more higher than the present time in the future. So, it is good idea to increase the bitcoin amount to earn a lot of profit in the future.
That is the same that people thought back when the price touched $20k that bitcoin is easily gonna reach more than $30k or more, but that bubble for burst and this time around too the situation is also same where the number of buyers are decreasing along with the support in the charts and the selling pressure is increasing now so i guess The price is going to go down, so it will be better to wait and see the price action for now and when the price falls then to buy Bitcoins and fill up the bags for a new pump.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin and bitcoin high transaction fees on: October 01, 2020, 03:18:25 PM
What you have said here is no lie, you’re right, in some situations Bitcoin might not be the right choice. But, there are also times that it is better to make use of bitcoin.

I can even count how many times I have used Bitcoin when it’s a transaction that I’m doing to someone in my country, that’s because I rarely make use of Bitcoin for local transactions. When it comes to international transactions, believe me when I say that all the international transactions I have made since 2015 that I got to know about Bitcoin has only been Bitcoin and no other method.
OP is talking about the fact that UPI directly sends the money from your bank to the receivers bank and that too without any network fees, isn't it cool but the problem with bitcoin is that it is not feasible to send small amounts like under 100k Satoshi as the fees is higher than this on most of the Exchanges, so this actually limits the usability of bitcoin and people have to convert their bitcoins into some other currency to send in order to save money on fees and transaction confirmation times.
69  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs. Bitcoin on: September 30, 2020, 07:34:16 PM
Bitcoin is gonna take the crown from the real estate investments as there can't be any other investment than cryptocurrencies that can give you such returns in a matter of 10 years only and most of the times real estate takes more than 10 years to get to double price. Also people used to say bitcoin is a risky investment and is used by the black markets which isn't the case anymore where even institutions are also investing in it now.
70  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it worthwhile to trade the cryptocurrency on IQ Option? on: September 30, 2020, 06:36:11 PM
Hello, everyone! Are there any forum members who use IQ Option to trade cryptocurrency? I would really like to hear your impressions and feedback. Huh
for me personally, IQ Option is pure gambling...
I tried IQ Option once so I knew it was gambling. it's better to just trade on exchanges like Binance, Okex, and others which are safer and can use analysis.
I also think that people should always trade on the Exchanges like Binance and kraken and not on IQ options, I always feel like that I am getting scammed there on the IQ options platform and is kind of rigged to lure in the traders when they are using the practice accounts and once they are satisfied that they can make money then they get stuck in the trap and loose money on the platform. Binance and other exchanges feel normal to me and are having way better options to trade on them.
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it alright to invest with bitcoin at the current market price? on: September 30, 2020, 05:53:12 PM
When bitcoin went as high as $20,000 in December 2017 people were still buying it and were it is currently is still the best price to buy. It always depends on you patience because bitcoin will one day be above the current price. If you have patience you will still sell at the high price if you buy today.
I also agree with you that bitcoin will eventually surpass the $20k price point at some point in the future but Don't you think that it would have been a good point for them to sell their bitcoins when the price dropped to $16k and then would have brought more amount of bitcoins when the price reached its low of $3k recently. And rhe same is going right now where the future of the bitcoin price is uncertain and anything can happen right now, so the safest option right now is to wait for the price to drop and then buy bitcoins.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cho Giáng sinh on: September 30, 2020, 05:16:09 PM
Good gift but I don't think the person who receives it will keep it for long. Everyone needs money, bitcoin is just a form of currency and people can sell them to spend on their activities. Lips sealed
At least this would encourage people to use bitcoins as they will be receiving bitcoins so whenever they would have to sell the coins for money they will be searching on ways to sell bitcoins for cash or bank balance. I guess this is a nice idea and also have been talked about the same here many times in the past too. But only problem would be that if they won't be having any clue about what bitcoin is, so maybe we would have to teach them about bitcoin too before giving them Bitcoins in any form of gift.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your seed? on: September 30, 2020, 04:28:32 PM
I store them in my notebook and keep it in a secured box. I may left a message in the box saying “Don’t open this until the day I die”, which I want to inherit it to my current and future family members.

I also had a copy of them stored in a Notepad file on my USB. I really don’t trust Gmail and Google Docs to store all of my passwords, seed phrases, private keys, etc. Not in my mobile phones, I have learned my lesson the hard way after those screenshots were gone because of forced factory reset. However, I do trust Protonmail as it’s more secured.
You can also use a password manager for storing your passwords and even keys under some unique usernames that only you can understand when you open, it is a hassle free method and you would only have to remember a single password for that password manager which I think would be an easy process to follow rather than following these methods which I think is pretty risky if your drive falls into wrong or malicious hands.

76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it the best time to buy Kick? on: September 10, 2020, 07:40:07 PM
I think it's not best time to buy kick. I also waiting for buying.  I’ve been following this token for the last two months. And I think its price will fall again.  When it's come 15 or 14 it's best time to buy. My suggestion is - wait for few more days.
Considering the history of other altcoins, I wouldn't invest in it at all cuz it is dying now from 40 to 20 now at 14, if someone is holding his coins he should sell them as there won't be any benefit for him in holding Kick as in a matter of a few months this coin will be close to its death or maybe it would die before that if the situation gets worse. There are a lot of other projects in the market where one can invest and make a killing out of it, so my advice is to find them and invest in those projects rather than investing in a dying project.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for salary on: September 10, 2020, 05:30:02 PM
Companies can pay the salaries of their workers in bitcoins only if it is legal in their country and sadly in most of the countries there isn't any whiteline regarding the legality and illegal aspects of cryptocurrencies and never to forget that even now only a few percentage of the world population know about cryptocurrencies, so why would companies go to such extremes for the benefit of their employees when they can easily pay their employees through cheques, bank transfer or in cold hard cash.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you hide your identity with bitcoin? (100%) on: September 06, 2020, 07:12:13 PM
You can surely put some practices in place to help with remaining anonymous but it's impossible to stay completely in the dark so to speak.  If you were able to stay in the dark 100% it would make it a very dangerous place and tool to be using.
Aren't the mixers sufficient enough to mix your coins and make you anonymous on the internet while using bitcoins, I know someone with a lot of resources and time can still search and find you but for that you can aslo shift towards other privacy oriented coins like monero, right??
Also what I do is never try to transfer my bitcoins straight from exchange address where I use to buy and sell my coins for bank transfers and never send straight from my wallet to that address as it is the kind of thing that should be kept private and can easily throw away your identity.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid big commissions to pay ethereum ? on: September 06, 2020, 05:17:11 PM
Looks with the defi and yield farming bubble bursting soon eth transaction fee will be back to normal. Thank God it was terrible paying so much fee and i see fee gone down considerably already and it will drop more in coming days.
If the Cryptocurrency market start to rise again we will see the ethereum fee rise again, this current fall in the gas fees is because of the fall in the prices of cryptocurrencies and thus people aren't investing their money in ethereum or DeFi anymore and are just investing in bitcoins and thus the fall in the gas fees.
I have never invested in the DeFi projects as I knew from the start that these are just pump and dump schemes and most of them  are here only for the short run, but there are still hidden gems amongst these DeFi tokens that are still to be found.
My workaround for the high transaction fees is using another coin having low fees like litecoin or bitcoin cash.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Really Happening To The Market? on: September 05, 2020, 07:45:00 PM
Crypto is getting harder to predict now, in August we saw a very good pump and many of us must have thought that a bull run was coming soon but when it entered September the market suddenly bled, will we see bitcoin under $5k again until the end of the year?
Was the increase in bitcoin and some altcoins in August just because of the Defi hype? Share your opinion
DeFi hype wasn't the reason for the pump in the prices of cryptocurrencies, and the most probable reason for the dump in prices can be the stock market crashing right now and all of us know that the Cryptocurrency market also mimics the stock market in trends. The fall can be because of a lot of reasons:

1. The GDP of every country is falling which show economy isn't performing well and hence the fall in stock and Cryptocurrency prices.

2. The border wars between India and China and America coming in support of India. In response to which China is selling the bonds and cutting it's reserve of US bonds.

Open to hear other's opinions.
