341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Big market crash has started! on: June 27, 2018, 02:40:46 PM
What I do during these times is to focus on the long term. This bear market's gonna last but it's due to end too. Just stock up and suck it up, crypto still has a bright future.
342  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 'exhausted' at $6k - 'bottoming process' could sink crypto to $4k on: June 27, 2018, 02:38:58 PM
where do these people get this stuff from? Shocked

"fighting back", "exhausted", "bottoming process",... it is as if the article is trying too hard to use words to scare people into thinking price is about to fall down hard Cheesy
the funny thing is it is not even showing smallest signs of drop. if anything it is showing signs of rise. ever since this "hack" happened the price has gone up about $400!

It's mainstream media, it makes the read more dramatic hence more clicks I suppose. The article's got a point though, sub-$4k is pretty much reasonable at our current trend.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term investment. on: June 27, 2018, 01:23:18 PM
Probably a portfolio of ~50% BTCBTCBTCBTC and ETH and another half of stable tokens/alts. Put in some ICOs if you're willing to take the risk. That's a pretty good long term profile I believe.
344  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will probably reach 4500-5000, following seasonality pattern. on: June 27, 2018, 01:16:57 PM
It's a cycle all right, the question now is when's the next cycle's coming up. Basing from the recent trends, I assume it's still not on the horizon.
345  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can be about $ 5000 or not? on: June 27, 2018, 07:55:59 AM
Looking at it now, it seems pretty likely. The hype has since died down and many investors have since been pulling out. Don't worry though, as it all happens eventually. It's a cycle, and perhaps on the next bull run they'll all be back at it again.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your trading plan? on: June 27, 2018, 06:29:57 AM
As of now I'm just stocking up. There's no motivation for me to trade much in a bear market such as this. Let this bearish trend take time so when the bull run comes yet again I'll be ready to off-load.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin leaves. Who would benefit?? ETC is my bet on: June 27, 2018, 06:28:37 AM
I think, like the case with Bitcoin, when Satoshi leaves, because we're continuing to work and grow without him, and with Ehtereum it would be just the same, it is not dependidng on the person.

Then why did ETH price plummeted that day some rumors spread online about his demise in a car accident?
The market cares about him being part of Ethereum, and this is a vulnerability of ETH.
ETC doesn't have such one-man-project thing issue.

Because the market sees Vitalik as it's "CEO" in a sense, so that's the logical market reaction. IMO it's not much of a vulnerability, even more of an advantage I believe. People has the tendency to put their money on people rather than concepts abstract to them like in BTCBTCBTC.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Shall I buy ETH? on: June 27, 2018, 02:37:12 AM
ETH still hasn't reached it highest potential all-time high IMO, so the best part is yet to come. I'm still stocking up on it.
349  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price < $3000 soon on: June 27, 2018, 02:34:32 AM
Although below $3k is still not in horizon at this point, I'd say that prediction is really possible. It's not yet even the worst-case scenario, we can even fall sub-$2k in the next few months, as more regulations come into place and other exchanges gets hacked.
350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC payments in PHILIPPINES on: June 27, 2018, 02:06:17 AM
You can use Coins.ph if you need to exchange BTCBTCBTC to PHP, or even pay more shops that accept Coins.ph payments but doesn't do directly with BTCBTCBTCBTC.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tactics When Market is Falling on: June 25, 2018, 02:11:13 AM
The best tactics when the market is falling is to hodl all your coins and wait til the market goes up and turn green. We can't predict when it is gonna be rise but at least you have you holdings in you. It is also the best way to buy coins in their lower price and when its down buy more coins and wait again for the right price when rising this is how crypto world goes around, you must be good at waving strategy of it.
when the market is worsening things we have to do is to remain patient hold our coins, do not be affected and lead to sell it because the market will get better in a certain time, so if you join sell will only get losses.

Actually if you do that, you're just gonna accumulate more losses. In times like these, what I do is cash out a portion of my holdings then buy back a lot later when the prices have dipped further. I do it again with a smaller portion if the dip continues. It's pretty useful over the years.
352  Economy / Speculation / Re: When is bitcoin bouncing back on: June 25, 2018, 02:05:20 AM
You gotta expect the worse is still coming soon, maybe a dive to sub-$4k. It's pretty imminent I believe, as BTCBTCBTC is pretty much losing investor confidence in the past few months. For now, focus on the long term, on the coming halving season. It's the only point we're sure of a bounce back.
353  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2018 be better than 2017 for bitcoin on: June 06, 2018, 03:19:08 PM
I actually think not. It's like this year will be more of a recovery year, more of corrections. Next year the momentum would gear up and hopefully, by the next halving season we're on a run to break the all-time highs.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO investment or Altcoin investment? on: June 06, 2018, 03:17:49 PM
ICOs are more risky. I'd say it's best to manage your portfolio into something based on your risk appetite. If you like high risk high returns, shift your portfolio more on the ICO side and vice versa.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Winner of this year, ETH or BTC? on: June 06, 2018, 03:16:29 PM
It's like betting on apples and oranges, these coins have it's own niche and user-base. I'd say to take advantage of the growth of both, why not split your portfolio into both of them? That's a win-win.
356  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it advisable to base upon the updates of popular people? on: June 06, 2018, 03:15:22 PM
If you put your money on the mouth of other people, it's just the same as letting them scam you don't you think?

I'd say you do your own research and make your own decisions.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coins do you like besides Ethereum? on: June 06, 2018, 03:13:45 PM
As for me, I've grown a liking to coins/tokens that lets you earn dividends, like KucoinShares and COSS. These are good long term investments as even the dividends will pile up.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market getting many new people. Is it good or bad for us? on: June 06, 2018, 03:06:33 PM
I think it is good for us because the market will recover if many people interested in cryptocurrency and want to earn money by investing and trading cryptos.

The only bad thing about that if those of new people are involved already in trading. It will result in a negative image on BTC once they experience a loss which it can happen since volatility is normal here. But on the other hand, it will really help to control price volatility since the BTC will be distributed and not be easily manipulated by whales.

Well there's always a disclaimer when you open up an account that you can lose everything. We can't really do anything about that.

@ontopic, the better the adoption, the better it is for our economy. There's more hands moving crypto now which means more trades and demand.
359  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't lose your faith in BTC. on: June 06, 2018, 03:03:58 PM
Well if you're already in here big and for the long run, you can't lose faith anymore.

I'd say invest some and keep up and still be productive. Wait for it to mature.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think this year will be Red? on: June 06, 2018, 09:58:58 AM
Might be. 2017 was mainly a bull market year, so the rest of 2018 may be the correction.

It's great for us though, gives us the time to recuperate and stock in more for another bull run.
