61  Other / Meta / Re: Serious Question Needs Honest Answer, What Am I Doing Wrong not to earn Merit? on: July 18, 2018, 02:17:36 AM
Why is it so important for you to receive Merit?

That's a good question and my honest answer is that I feel curious, pressured and envious when I'm seeing people who have less activity than me but have many merits and really makes me wonder why. Besides that, I feel that merit should be given freely to whoever people wants to give them for whatever it maybe.

Some musings as I release the toxic by-products of ingested food stuffs:

The Struggle Is Real!

Taking my forum rank to a bank for a loan: Denied
Taking my forum rank to buy a new car: Denied
Taking my forum rank to get a drivers license: Denied
Taking my forum rank to a University for admission: Denied
Taking my forum rank to pay my light bill: Denied
Taking my forum rank to deposit in bank: Denied
Taking my forum rank to court to pay a fine: Denied
Taking my forum rank to McDonalds for a Happy Meal: Denied
Taking my forum rank to the store for candy: Denied
Taking my forum rank and framing for "wall prestige": Priceless

Having or not having Merit or Rank will not stop you from meaningful participation on this forum. Since you are a "a self confessed and proud  bounty hunter", then you want it for Sig. Campaigns. If that is the only reason you are here, you really need a life, job and a good companion animal to further your life's ambitions or lack of.
62  Other / Meta / Re: Question about forum rule number 3: No trolling on: July 18, 2018, 12:58:49 AM

Echo chamber is a pretty good alternative to absolute crap posting.

Report to admin, Looking at another thread, Ignore and logging off works wonders for me.

Some of the flame wars between different conflicting personalities can be boring but such is the nature of a forum.

Sure, I read many of them but some are not worth posting in when they degrade to idiocy.
63  Other / Meta / Re: Question about forum rule number 3: No trolling on: July 18, 2018, 12:46:27 AM
While a troll is highly annoying, ignore works wonders. I also believe it is up to the interpretation of a mod/admin.

I was trying to introduce a bit of humor into the subject. It would be boring if everyone was just sitting in an echo chamber.
If everyone agreed it would be a boring back patting hippy group.

While the discussion can sometimes be tedious and repetitive the alternative would be a self-congratulatory discussion.

Censoring speech however annoying it may be should only be done if it is only destructive.

Echo chamber is a pretty good alternative to absolute crap posting.

Recovering hacked accounts or accounts with lost passwords

If you use any sort of Google email service, then the password recovery email will go to your spam folder.

If you want us to recover a hacked/lost account, you need to prove that you own it. Typically, the only acceptable method of proving ownership is by signing a message (including current date and desired new email address) using a Bitcoin address or PGP key associated with the account. A Bitcoin address or PGP key is associated with the account only if the account posted the key/address, sent it in a PM, or if it is still listed in the account's profile.

I very rarely recover accounts if you can't prove ownership as described above. There are alternative ways of proving ownership, but they take too much time. If I point you to this thread, you can't prove ownership properly, and then I ignore your future PMs, this means that I'm not going to recover your account. Create a new one.

Send one PM to Cyrus. If Cyrus doesn't respond after two weeks, you can try sending a PM to me instead. When sending a PM, use a template like this:

Quote
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
My account <account> has been hacked/lost. Please reset the email to <email>. The current date is <date>.
-----BEGIN SIGNATURE-----
<insert address here>
<insert signature here>
-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Here is the unedited post where I posted that address: ...
OR
I sent that address to someone in a PM with PM ID#...

All required info must be in one PM.

Do not create your temporary account using the same email address you want for the hacked/lost account. No two accounts can have the same email address.

This is what you need to do, it is REQUIRED for account recovery. Email addresses are not considered proof.
67  Other / Meta / Re: account hacked - I locked it, but now what? on: July 17, 2018, 07:30:17 PM
A Bitcoin address or PGP key is associated with the account

I never had a bitcoin address associated with the account. However, I was very active in the community for years.

Do not create your temporary account using the same email address you want for the hacked/lost account. No two accounts can have the same email address.

Yes, that I know. I made this one with a different email address.

Any other suggestions/advice?

If you can't do as the post above requires, you may be out of luck for recovery. You have to prove you own that account, it is up to you to do so and the how/what is in the above post.

For other users (me included) has been reserved the Ban IP, because this user spends months undisturbed keeping all posts?

Are you saying you are banned? If so, you are ban evading.

But why does nobody answer what I'm asking? Why do you turn around the problem?

Do these users pay to spam? Why nobody removes them after repeated reports?

Are you ban evading? Why don't you answer the question?

This is the main problem, he completely ignores.
How can I get through to marlboroza?
What should I do?
Dear Administration, only you can help me ...

Trust is NOT moderated, admins can not help you.

Follow the instructions. If you can't prove the account is yours by the guidelines, you may be out of luck.
Instruction impossible - i'm never share my bitcoin address.

There is part of instruction: There are alternative ways of proving ownership, but they take too much time. In other words, they won't do it.
As i say, i can prove ownership by other ways: I can proof ownership by my other email / Telegram, that i've posted in my topic. I can proof my ownership by Skype - username still in my profile. I can proof ownership by original email of that account.

Emails can be hacked, accounts can be sold with an account, none of which is proof.
This has been gone over extensively.

You need to find a previously used coin address from an unaltered post and has some age to it. 1-2 weeks probably will not be accepted. BTC is what is normally used, I have seen a few alt. coin addresses used.
What is accepted:
" A Bitcoin address or PGP key is associated with the account only if the account posted the key/address, sent it in a PM, or if it is still listed in the account's profile." The account profile address will have to be shown to have been there for some time.

You then need to sign a message with that address as the above link requires.
As the sticky says:
"I very rarely recover accounts if you can't prove ownership as described above. There are alternative ways of proving ownership, but they take too much time."

Even if you had SOLID proof, it will take some time; weeks, months, years.

thanks for your reply and advice and I already clicked the link that I got in my email that said to click if I not requested to change the email to lock my account in 14 days and I didnt posted my bitcoin address any where.
But can you suggest me how can I get back my account early because I read in that link given by you that they want my bitcoin address or sign in message to verify my account and I have nothing else.
I  am innocent and I am suffering of locking my account because of hackers attack .
pls suggest me good way to recover my account.

thanks very much

All the information you need is in this link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0
If you can't prove, from this link, the requirements of ownership, you are probably out of luck.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Need 0.03 ETH for gas. Back 0.06 in 15 minutes on: July 15, 2018, 12:27:50 PM
HI,

Need 0.03 ETH urgently for covering gas charges for trading by tokens on Idex.
I will send back 0.06.

No collateral but I can PM you my tokens ownership

Gas charges? Are you driving to the exchange? You really need collateral, what you offer is basically meaningless.

I don't have one, All I have is the bitcoin address on my profile
You do have (thankfully - otherwise, the address wouldn't be valid).
When sending the message to theymos/Cyrus, don't forget to include the link in the message.
