61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no gain on: May 11, 2024, 12:23:45 PM
Nothing happens to us if we are always afraid of trying new things. Taking risks is part of our life, sometimes we stay away from our comfort zone for a new beginning and a better life.

It is for sure that some of these rich people were poor before but they took risks because they wanted some changes and the results are truly remarkable. There is no harm from trying but missing the opportunity is even more regretful than anything.

Of course, there is no forcing about in investing Bitcoin. Perhaps it is our decision but can't leave the fact that this kind of investing can possibly change our life forever. In fact, a lot of people have tried and many of them become successful, that is enough to consider of coming in.
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it proper for younger ones to gamble? on: May 11, 2024, 11:34:13 AM
Firstly I think that younger ones Gambling is very wrong. The age restriction for Gambling is more like a safe guard to prevent unnecessary and irresponsible Gambling habits of an individual and hence the Gambling restriction of 18+. A lot of teenagers are not able to make proper decisions for themselves hence if they are given the opportunity to gamble they will end up abusing it and even harming themselves. One common issue is that in some countries they are unable to properly enforce the 18+ Gambling rule hence alot of these teenagers in such countries are able to do such things illegally.

It's worse than you think. Those kids are not gonna quit even if someone talks to them about the damage it's doing to them  since they were already exposed to it earlier. It'd be hard to break off such habit now if they're already doing it with their uniforms on? That's really wild. They now have their balls deep in gambling. Whatever you learn in your teen days, is gonna stick with you in life for sure. That's why I fear for those kids especially if they randomly win, the dopamine hit will push them to bet more.
Early addiction is really hard to heal, and that ain't work too easily, especially where online games and gambling sites are rampant and anyone can gamble.
This is what happens when influencers promote gambling which exposes kids to it. If the government will never take action with this, more and more young people will get involved in gambling.

I'm not against gambling but it should be regulated in order to save young people/kids from early addiction. We know the negative impact of this in their life and we don't want to see kids commit crimes for the sake of gambling.
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you think about Casinos rewards? on: May 11, 2024, 06:06:39 AM
Hi everyone,

Casinos are known for having rewards , which are almost the same in all of them and do not differ much. For example, the welcome bonuses that players get after making deposits, free spins, bonuses, etc. Although there is some difference in small details from one casino to another, their goal remains to promote and attract more visitors , players, and the positive thing here is that these rewards are motivating and give the player a distinctive gaming experience full of entertainment and fun.

Do you research the casino features before playing? Do you find these features useful for the casino and the player at the same time?
Rewards are just simply a marketing strategy and the main goal is to attract searchers. However, this is not the way we assess if the casino can be trusted or not still, we look at their reputation and customer feedback because it can be our strong basis for whether we use this platform or ignore the offer. Besides, if not all, the majority are offering such rewards but the most important is we are in a casino that has credibility, not just bonuses, free spins, etc. Generally, it is not really useful and it won't give winning assurance, it is just how it encourages gamblers to register.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What I experienced since the past two days now on: May 11, 2024, 04:36:06 AM
Then, we can't blame the government and other people think that Bitcoin helps scammers and fraudsters. We can't blame the authorities for stopping mixers because they feel suspicious about their transactions and the loss of our privacy in the crypto space has gone due to these scammers.

These actions of scammers make crypto in general a tool for scamming, Bitcoin is not excluded. I'm not saying that is good to happen with the mixers but if people use this as a medium of illegal activities, it should be stopped because we are also affected especially if someone knows that you are a Bitcoin holder, they will also assume that you are a scammer.
65  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do people lose in gambling and still go ahead and bet more? on: May 10, 2024, 09:57:02 PM
I've a friend of mine who always complain that ever since he started gambling he haven't won a good amount, instead he'll be winning less money than what he expected but he can't stop. So I'm asking what do you suggest he should do at this case. For me I told him that he should know that gambling it's a game of risk and luck, but with the constant betting you might win the amount you've at mind someday. So what are your suggestions towards this.
You should encourage your friend to stop gambling as it won't give him pleasure anymore. I don't know how your friend's gambling strategy but I could say that he is too emotional and irresponsible gambler. Changing his gambling strategy and behavior will change the results as well but most of all, he should control his betting. More gamblers suffer losses because they never know exactly what they have to do and most of the time we been relying on "there is next bet, may I was lucky", so we make bets again.

Gambling will definitely influence our mind which is why we should limit our time spend to it as well.

66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: May 10, 2024, 12:54:33 PM
Longest face-off in boxing?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Voa-oXjTv9w

It was like they started at 0:27 and then the announcer in the background doing his job, and after he had said everything, both of this fighters are still staring at each other, LOL. Personally though, I'm seeing Loma winning by unanimous decision here, he is the more experience and the better boxer/technician in this fight.

That's how boxers try to square with their opponents, a stare down and look as someone's soul and see if they can intimidated each other just like in this case, but it seems that no one is trying to back down from all of it and with the organizers allowing it, and at least there are no pushing whatsoever and  they remain calm. Obviously as what the odds say, Loma is a huge favorite, because of his experience and yes the tools that he has, foot work and this technics he used to beat his opponent. And if ever he wins then he is again a world champion and still has a good future in fighting Tank Davis. That's the fight that we wanted to see in the future.

I liked that both fighters stay calm, they are just doing a very simple job in this face off since hyping the fight is not anymore necesarry since we all know their will be blood comes the fight night. Kambosos looks confident, I like that from him as he will for sure be very aggressive, however, I believe that Loma will be victorious in the end because he had some skills being a technical fighter while Kambosos heavily relies on his aggressiveness which is not effective against a fighter like Loma.
67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: May 10, 2024, 12:17:11 PM
Casimero doesn't have any to bring for Inoue except that taunting, which I think the camp of Inoue has matured already from all the antics of Casimero and that's whey his name is not even mentioned.

I think Casimero's named was mentioned during an interview after Inoue defeated Marlon Tapales, but for sure Casimero is not the priority since his ranking is low. However, for a champion that has been disrespected everytime, I think he should accept the challenge of Casimero so he can shup him up. Inoue vs Casimero, such a good title, and I think the fans will be fully satisfied as sure this fight will end in KO, not sure who will win but I know it's going to be fun.

I'm a fan of Quadro Alas but all he's doing is just making noise and need some attention; he hasn't really proven much yet. Based on the current rankings in his weight class, he's at number 12. If he really wants to fight Naoya Inoue, he needs to prove himself and ranking first, not just making noise and asking for attention. As a Filipino boxing fan, I admit I'm one of those who want to see Casimero vs Inoue to happen but for that to happen, he needs to improve his ranking first. Inoue won't really gain anything if we just say the fight happened. It's not worth it for Inoue's side.

Luck has been tough on him, because his fight ended up in Draw although it does look like he really hurt his opponent. It's just sad to see that because the fight was held in Japan, the decision does not favor him. In fact, his fight vs Akaho which is also a Japanese ended up no contest but later Akaho admit that the really loss the fight that's why Casimero was awarded with a KO win, if only the last fight was win by KO, his ranking might have improve and Inou has no more excuses of not fighting him.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will always Survive on: May 09, 2024, 09:46:23 PM
It will survive because people trust it.
Despite some aggressive market attacks and some controversial discussions of the SEC, Bitcoin still gains positive responses from the community. It dumps due to some panic selling which is normal event but it rises back because many people stay strong and optimistic about the future of Bitcoin.

One factor that makes people become interested in this is the decentralized features. We believe that having this gives us more freedom and more privacy which fiat money can't provide. But if we talk about security, that is uncertain as we are prone to hacking and this it makes too risky.

Decentralized Nature: This means that no single entity such as a government or bank has control over it,and this makes it resistant to corruption or interference by any centralized authorities.

Security: Bitcoin uses cryptography to secure the transactions that happens in the network making it highly resistant to fraud and hacks.

70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 09, 2024, 07:20:41 AM
Knicks -4.5 yeah I know it's been tight all playoffs but I have to believe in the fellas.  And as a smaller side bet over on jalen brunson points.  It's sitting at 37.5 which is wild.  It seems like an under bait so I will take the opposite.  Pacers defense sucks and JB averaging almost 30 fga and 11 ft attempts per game.  Gimme the point God for the over.
I have to trust the Knicks today as well, I still can't count out the Pacers from keeping this a close game, so i'm only betting on their match-winner.

After watching the first game, the Pacers had a lot of players who could keep their offense rolling, and it almost made me want to take their spread.

The over should be easy like the last game, and I also placed a small bet since the Pacers won't be slowing down anytime soon when they have that many players that can score while the Knicks mostly rely on their starters.

Another win, home teams really are racking in the playoffs so it's hard to go against the trend. I thought the Pacers would beat the home team when Brunson went to the locker room after a possible injury, but man he's really tough, he came back and lead the team even losing OG in that game due to an injury (which will possibly made him unavailable in game 3).

I got my bet live after the firs half, I had -7 Pacers, damn, wrong move.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attempting to turn 0.05 BTC into 1.7 BTC on: May 09, 2024, 06:52:51 AM
That's a very aggressive approach, I hope you last long. Starting with 0.05 BTC and bet 50% of it on your first try, just 2 losses and you are out. And also, your target is too high, so it's really hard to achieve. I believe some experts doesn't think like you do, they start with big bankroll but with a very conservative betting approach, like they set a small percentage of their entire bankroll, 5% or lower, yours is 50%. Cheesy

Have you successfully influenced someone to invest in bitcoin ?
I tried to get in touch with some of my friends and relatives but unfortunately, nobody had the guts to believe in me. I then thought that I was not the kind of person who could influence and I see also that it was hard to influence a person if they won't see the visible results of your investment. That is why I don't push myself to do that again and don't bother other's life with Bitcoin because it is impossible to educate someone when they are close-minded. I'd rather keep it by myself and let my work show them a few years from now, and why this is a good investment.

Besides, not all are meant for this which I think also that maybe those people around me are not destined to become Bitcoin investors.
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: May 08, 2024, 02:32:15 PM
@coin-investor, if Inoue was really interested fighting Casimero, he should have already fought him a long time ago, especially when both of them are still champions in the bantamweight division. This taunting will never stop, and only Inoue is the one who is capable of stopping it, and that is fighting casimero  and settle everything on the court.

Casimero is not the top contender, so if Inoue will make the top contender as the basis for his fight, then that fight will not happen and Inoue can continue to dominate weaker opponents. It seems like his camp are really good on protecting him, like putting in front of him boxers that are not on his level.
74  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How active can a newbie be daily? on: May 08, 2024, 01:41:29 PM

My question is what does it mean to be active on the forum,
How many quality Posts can someone make daily before he or she can be considered active on this forum, sorry I ask a lot of questions so u can learn too.

One post a day is already considered very active in the forum. As a newbie, you are not here just to make a post but you are here to read and explore the forum more. You can stay on the forum 24 hours as long as you can, nobody stops you from doing that and there are no rules that limit us. But is not about the number of posts we've made instead, it is the learning and new ideas we get. Your post time and behavior will change as you rank up and much more if you are already in signature campaigns that require a specific number of posts daily or weekly. But since you are just a newbie OP, it doesn't matter.
75  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lack of capital or knowledge, which one is holding traders back from profits? on: May 07, 2024, 09:55:21 PM

What can you say about this two problems, how will you advice a trader that is suffering from any of this problems or how did you get out of the problem if you had suffered from having lack of capital or lack of knowledge. Which of this problem is more common among traders?.
Both of them should be addressed before we start trading, it is part of the preparation.

 - don't force yourself to do something if you don't have the capability to do as it is just a suicide
 - don't underestimate trading as we need good knowledge about trading if we want to succeed
 - it is impossible to trade if we don't have enough capital, so we need to find ways but I don't suggest of taking a loan.

Rushing is one factor that makes us lose from trading. If we want to succeed, then we also have to work hard and take time knowing the market well and learn things.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 07, 2024, 01:01:54 PM
What do you think about the Knicks vs Pacers series?  The game 1 was a very entertaining game, the Pacers could have won that game if they were able to hold their lead in the clutch minutes. I feel that the Pacers have a shot at beating the Knicks in the series as they played really well but jut failed to make the right decision in the end.

If we look at the production of the Pacers bench, it's really impressive, so if this series will go longer, it will favor the Pacers since the starters are will not experience fatigue.

As for the series line now, Pacers are x4,  I think that's really attractive.
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: May 07, 2024, 08:17:53 AM
However, it appears his next opponent is not very good and we can be quite certain that this will be in Japan again. Inoue might not become something similar to Pacman in fame after he retires.

Who will be his next opponent? was it already announce? I hope it will be Casimero as I've been waiting for a long time to see these two make a conclusion about who is the better between them. Casimero making joke on Inoue again, he said if it was him who hit Inoue, Inoue might not be able to continue, well, it's true that Casimero has the power that's probably the reason why Inoue does not accept his challenge.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Coins: Over 50% of Cryptocurrencies Have Failed on: May 06, 2024, 11:42:29 PM

https://www.coingecko.com/research/publications/how-many-cryptocurrencies-failed
"How Many Crypto Coins Have Died?
Over 50% of all cryptocurrencies have died. Of the over 24,000 cryptocurrencies listed on CoinGecko since 2014, 14,039 have died.
----
Most dead cryptocurrencies came from projects launched during the 2020 - 2021 bull run. 7,530 cryptocurrencies from that period have died, accounting for 53.6% of all dead cryptocurrencies on CoinGecko. Over 11,000 cryptocurrencies were listed on CoinGecko during the previous bull run, with ~70% having shut down since."

___
Officially, only 50% are scam and unsuccessful projects

There is still a lot of development regarding crypto, many beginners enter without learning the basics of crypto and cryptocurrencies which makes them useless. This shows the various reasons they fall and starting again is very difficult, even though they are interested in crypto projects and investing in them, it is surprising that there are so many bad projects on the market. This probability of getting in difficult to attract these people from 50% percent may be more than that estimate.

That is only the number reported and it was just from CoinGecko but we suspect more unreported failed projects and more are coming. The data is quite bothering as this will affect the reputation of the entire crypto market and people will be in doubt and think that even Bitcoin and Ethereum as scams. We never know that 10 years from now, only 1% left legit and can be trusted.

Developers will have to stop creating projects as we don't need a lot of cryptocurrencies because what we need is a project that is usable and sustainable. Unfortunately, what we got is a bunch of shitcoins and scams which gives a reason for slow adaption and trust.
79  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Invest To Learning First on: May 06, 2024, 11:23:12 AM
[...]
But in my opinion , if someone is really passionate about investing , they can learn for themselves because everything is free on the internet , no need to go to an expert . What matters is whether we are really serious or we are just greedy and want to get rich quickly .
have you ever booked a course with a trading expert in the past, for example? the courses are definitely justified, as the information is conveyed much better and in a much shorter time than if you have to teach yourself everything via youtube and co. so especially for people who want to get into the subject relatively quickly, such courses are very suitable, but of course they also cost (sometimes even a lot of) money.

I have never signed up for any courses from experts because I believe that this market has no experts, only cycles and investor psychology. Also, I have the thought that if someone claims to be a trading expert, it means they easily make profits from trading, from their investments. So why do they waste their time teaching others and earning pennies? That's why I don't believe there are experts in the market.

But I also partly agree with you, if someone doesn't have much time, they can use money to buy knowledge because it will help you shorten your learning time.
They can be experts on their own and many traders proclaim themselves as one of the best traders yet, we can't prove it right. I believe there are some really good where we can gain knowledge from them but when it comes to teaching, it is somewhat different. Still, I believe that there are no shortcuts to learning trading. If we are a rich person, spending money is not difficult but I don't think this will make someone become a good trader or forever we rely on others.

If we don't have enough time for trading, we rather choose not to trade because this won't work. Better consider ourselves as an investor than forcing ourselves to become a trader as the time don't permits us.
80  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: May 04, 2024, 02:52:52 PM
One thing to say with those people that are trying to distract us while we do our own thing, mind their own business.

I don't care a thing they say, am I gambling with their money? am I using their time? No, they don't and that's why I don't care about them and whatever they say upon looking at my activities whether on my laptop or smartphone.

We've got our own lives to deal with and it's too short to be thinking of the welfare of other's activities.
Let’s just accept the reality that we can’t please everyone, and that we don’t have the control to what they want to say. Gambling can be a bad thing, but only for those who can’t manage their gambling urge and turn into irresponsible gamblers. However, for those who are good and responsible one, then there’s no way they’ll care whatever people will say.

I used to get affected with how others comprehend about gambling, but I realized this is what makes me entertained and sometimes makes me profitable, so I’m actually benefiting from it. I will continue gambling as long as I want, and as long as I’m using my own spare money. My money, my rules, and since they don’t contribute any goodness in my life, then they’re free to leave me on my own way and mind their own business.
Pro-gambling will definitely understand the feeling of being a gambler and how gambling affects their life. But for those against it, no way to expect them to say good but purely negative words. That is why I don't buy this kind of issue if I hear someone talking about it because the more we argue with and explain our side, they won't listen. In fact, it is not their money, and whatever happens to us, we never ask for help from them.

Besides, it is our choice to gamble. As long as we enjoy what we are doing (gambling), we must not care what they think about us. That is their problem, not ours.
