No serious investor is going to sell coins this low Again.These prices and higher are here to stay.
I'm seriously selling on the way up. To be honest, current price is already way to high for its current real value. A bunch of bag holders of overpriced coins isn't adding to its intrinsic value. You guys can argue about price all day long and talk about "investing" in the coin. The truth is that it΄s real value will always be decided by Icelanders. I have "invested" in a exchange that will only be open for Icelanders to trade aur. It will be the first step into real adoption of auroracoin in Iceland. Next thing to "invest" in is merchant solutions as well as educate and advertise the usage of auroracoin. If you guys want to "invest" i would suggest investing in infrastructure of the coin, buying the coin and holding on to it until it gains value through the hard work of the community is not helping us at all. Again this thread is not about trying to get people to buy auroracoin, it is about information about auroracoin and hopefully people will pitch ideas and helpful comments to further our agenda to get auroracoin widely used in iceland. Don't get me wrong. There is a reason why I'm selling on the way up (that's half the story). Let's say it is part of infrastructure building. |

@Eggert, building a good coin takes time. Check Guldencoin, that has done the concept of a country coin right (even with a big premine). A dedicated team and a community that wants to help building it is all we need. We don't need pumpers and dumpers, we don't need "investors" that want to profit as much as possible at the expense of the coin, and we certainly don't need FUD. If there is FUD, let us know what, so we can resolve that. Big bag holders aren't a problem. They will dump at the right price, which will be absorbed by the market.

It''s the same coin mate. just new owners . Half The undistributed remainder(minus initial foundation funds) of the 50% premine was destroyed.
Just for clarity. -Fuse The premine was distributed fairly to all citizens of Iceland, the new team is doing this out of the goodness of there hearts to show the coin can be a success. No bagholders here besides the foundation. Moon here we come! Sorry to disrupt the party, but "moon" is not the goal. Every Icelandic person using it is. If that is at the current price, so be it. |

Waiting for the price to hit 75k before I sell. Almost tempted to sell now and make a good profit but have to hold strong!!
How many auroracoin do you want to sell?   No idea, but he repeats that sentence every month or so. In the mean time I have made more with selling and rebuying. But my guess is we wont get near 75k anytime soon. |

If they dump the premine in 18 days and are working on development whats bad about it?
Just invest speculate in both Iceland coins mate and you just need one to succeed, but we will need to make sure there is no hidden premine like with ASIA coin for this new Iceland coin. There, fixed that for you. You're taking them serious?... they forgot to register their name for a website and it was scooped the same minute they posted their name here. And then from someone that just registered on the forum to put that message here. |

Does it all matter if it is a scam or not? Coin is currently "dead". New dev team takes up "dead" coin, kicks out "scammers" (block pre-mine) and starts to build up. What's the problem?
I guess the people calling "scam" here, don't have any AUR, so what is in it for them?

I think you can buy prepaid visa cards at the shops (Primera, Bruna, etc) these days. They would work like a credit card. Not sure though, so check on that. |

WTF, this coin is going down the drain how should icelands government adopt aur, if you burn the premine?? when aur should become currency, rents and loans need to be payd in aur. this is getting worse and worse.. i'm lucky i am out of this  1 AUR, like any other coin, can be divided up to 10^8 smaller parts... how would that not be enough? Same BS argument could be said for BTC (if it would be distributed worldwide). BTC has a lot of negativity outside of the cryptocommunity, that would be the strength of AUR. |

how do you think about the prospect of future guldencoin? whether guldencoin be worth 1 usd in the future do you think? Not sure about the 1 usd (or 1 eur for that matter), anyway not soon. But along the way the future looks good. But that is my opinion, what do you think for yourself? |

LTEX, You are clearly doing a good communication job ! But still i suspect you have to take a step back and see things from Eggert (or anyone else) point of view. For most, Aur is a mystery, Aur team too. Eggert raise legit questions, no matter what purpose he may have. For my part, the main reason why I invested in Aurora is I personnaly know one of the guy working ''behind the scene'' and I trust him more than I trust 99.99% people. But without that relation, I would not have invested, so I understand Eggert concerns. Eggert, the guy i know is from Iceland - and I chatted with another icelander (a dev). I'm not icelandic, i'm Canadian. PM your skype we may chat if you want, i'll visit Iceland next year with my familly, so you may have some recommandations for me  It looks like this is why he doesn't want the premine destroyed as a lot of the big holders are from outside of Iceland. Big bag holders sell when the price goes up. It's up to the Icelandic people to get hold of them en get them into Iceland and start using them. |

I've been in communication with some of the guys behind Auroracoin lately, and i'm pretty excited to jump in and help as well as i can with pushing further this great idea. Aurora has been one of my first ''love-affair'' in cryptos, and i'm more then happy to assist this great new birth.
I would handle with caution until premine is actually destroyed, but i can't resist, i keep buying at every price level.

Icelanders will only look at bitcoin because it is stable and has more support. AUR would be too risky for most of us, if you know Icelanders we don't like risk after 2008 and financial trust is big problem for most people here. Even if the pre-mine is dumped on the market... it will be absorbed over time. Personally I think it is just a minor problem, even if it is a problem at all. Bitcoin is far from stable and AUR has the possibility to become something great, but the Icelandic people need to trust it. |

I missed on everything the dev team is doing so in my head they are doing nothing. Can somebody tell me what they have accomplished in 2015 and why they should receive 1mil nlg?
According to https://github.com/nlgcoin/Guldencoin nothing has been done since the DIGI update 3 months ago. It's guys like Biomike that kept things rolling when the multipools were raping the coin, they have left now partially due to the one sided enforcements of the Dev team you try to defend.
Sad to see you have left for AUR Biomike, maybe criptoe and ltex will be wrong and you will come back if the team delivers. Where exactly did I say I left NLG for AUR? Or are you "kicking me out", just like LTEX? The whole reasoning that a person can't work on two things is flawed (I decided not to start on that troll image a few posts back). If it wasn't clear to everyone, LTEX and me are more of the investor type of contributors (not speculators, told the difference couple of times), we have shown this a couple of times (Rijk knows this). Diversifying is a strategy to spread risk. We are also signalling problems with this DEV team, this has been discussed back and forth and back again, but hardly any action has been taken (I'm glad MaNI has created a separate repo now). These problems are for me a reason to diversify, if AUR is a good choice in that...well, time will tell. We are not power hungry and we don't want to lead this project. What we want is that the people pulling this project act in a responsible and predictive way. Past few months it became clear to me that this team lacks some qualities in that respect. I decided to give the team it wants, a decentralized community. This also means I'm not actively communicating on the official forums any more (which is a centralization in itself). It also gives me time to actually do stuff (going through a difficult and busy time IRL at the moment). He quoted LTEX saying that you have left NLG. It also wasn't clear to me when I first read it so I bolded the parts better, not sure where he got the idea that you left for AUR. LTEX made a generalization here, others like me, not me. |
