601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LuckyCoin LKY | Lucky Blocks | Fast | Fun | Fair on: January 19, 2014, 08:55:25 PM

one month ago today  value per lucky    .00003109 to .00004000
today  value per lucky    .00001055 to .00001098

That is almost 2/3rd to 3/4th value lost, among the very worst of all alt coins. Why ?

is the coin too quiet?  does it need more pools?  was it replaced by lotto/casino coins?
maybe it was just overvalued more than the others.

No news about anything here? Has the captain left the ship?
There's never been a captain, only somali pirates.
603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: January 19, 2014, 04:20:06 PM
There's a lot of different alts to consider.
I disagree.
Most (almost all) of the alts are useless craps.
Doge would be as crap as the others, but it got so much attention that its purely speculative value increased a lot.
Still, since there is literally nothing backing it, it will likely pop.
If any other altcoin gets so much attention, it will be a good idea to consider offering services for it, but being aware that it is only a temporary fashon, that is going to end.
604  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] BitVPS on: January 19, 2014, 04:15:49 PM
You mentioned last month talking with Havelock since they started accepting assets again, were you ever able to make contact with them? From what i've seen and heard their fees for listing seem slightly...inflated.
I'd rephrase it: their fee are very high, their IPO was borderline-scammy, their attitude is definitely suspect.

At first I was pushing to move there, but that was before their change of management... now I think they'd better be avoided.
I'd rather wait and see if something better and new comes this way.
605  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] BitVPS on: January 18, 2014, 11:13:57 AM
Does anyone have a contact email address for investors to use ?

Looking at the current www.bitvps.com site, I see the Investors page has been removed.

I would like to discuss an investment issue with the BitVPS operators.
I only have this outdated income statement: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjGS9IMt1lA6dG9jNlVuLVlkcWVzNDVYMGJva0otZEE&usp=drive_web#gid=0

608  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Microsoft Product Keys on: January 16, 2014, 12:03:26 PM
Keys can be shared for development purpose and can be exchanged with the physical/virtual  resources, but not with with physical currency and can no be SOLD. Thread started is exchanging the keys in exchange of BTC and not officially selling with $s.
Lol what a huge pile of bullshit, with exactly ZERO legal grounds.

611  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: January 14, 2014, 09:11:58 PM
It's a cart before the horse thing.  You need to have the higher transaction fees in place before anyone will invest in the hardware to earn from them.  (Assuming that is their only intention.  Not to be confused with the miners who do both mining and earn transaction fees.)
wat?

Every miner earns the base reward + the transaction fees when it solves a block.
They are not distinct.

lol. Gimme a better one? Have you ever looked Apples fucked up projects? They out number their successes 10:1.
If you want to give a number, give a number which makes sense, or provide data to back it up.

616  Economy / Gambling / Re: scratch4bitcoins.com on: January 06, 2014, 12:16:59 PM
I already won 3 BTC with my free plays, but 1BTC minimum deposit is too much for me.. Maybe it's a scam..?
This "maybe" hugely worries me.

Maybe?

Seriously?

You just "won" ~$3000 for free without paying anything, but they ask you to deposit first, and you still have any however-small doubt it's not a scam?

You also won a Ferrari, delivery not included, send me 1 BTC (address in signature) and your address in PM and I'll send it to you.
617  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where should i use 300$ on: January 06, 2014, 12:11:51 PM
Hi all,
English ins't my native language so im sorry for spech mystake.
I'm new on bitcointalk, i´ve been following this website to see some posts since i started care about crypto currencies some moths ago...
So i have like 300USD to use in some cryptocurrencies
I dont want to buy Litecoins nor Bitcoins or other of this currencies with a high price.
I want other currencies that are under 1USD right now, wich in future could be at 5-10USD or something like that.
I want to use it in multiple cryptocurrencies, like 50USD for NXT 50 for NET...etc
If you have this money for with this conditions what you will do?
Thanks and sorry for my bad english Sad
You got it all wrong.

You are basically asking "please I want to 100x my money, give me advice", which makes no sense at all.

Almost all altcoins (including litecoin) are totally worthless clones which will NEVER gain any value, because they are just useless. Not different from printing your own paper money at home: would you buy that?
The very few altcoin with any actual real idea behind them are still too experimental anyway, and will likely be superseded by newer, better experiments.
618  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: January 06, 2014, 12:03:18 PM
This makes sense, but you may be leaving out two relevant (ASIC Mining gear) market segments:
1) New Bitcoin investors that prefer to mine their coins instead of buying them (there are different reasons for this that have been discussed somewhere else)
2) "Corporate Miners" that need to stay on top of the game

Also, you should be very cautious when declaring the whole mining industry "not profitable at current difficulty levels" - as long as Bitcoin prices keep moving they have, it will be extremely difficult to prove this assertion. Looking at ROI in BTC alone can be an extremely misleading simplification.
I somewhat agree with the above paragraph, but the following one seems just wrong: since you pay the device in BTC, you have to consider only the BTC itself: exchange rate with other currency is totally irrelevant, since you had anyway the option of "just keeping your BTC" and having them appreciate exactly the same.

I'm quite tired of having to explain this time and again, it's so obvious but people keep getting it wrong. Will they ever learn?
619  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 2 Custom made Bitcoins (Silver) on: January 06, 2014, 11:32:21 AM
You wouldn't happen to have pictures of the actual coins would you..........
+1

wonder what's the deal... is he planning to somehow con the escrow, or maybe the plan is to convince the buyer not to use the escrow after all?
620  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Fisco / Tasse / Legge sul Bitcoin on: January 06, 2014, 08:46:37 AM
qualche suggerimento su come fare per ritirare euro ottenuti da bitcoin senza esser tracciati?

localbitcoins, otc, forum...
