601  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Great Misconception on: June 05, 2013, 12:33:35 PM
BTC isn't going up, it's FIAT that's going down! Every day your FIAT is worth a little less.
That's weird, I was under the impression that the same Bitcoin can buy 10 times more stuff than a few months before. Also weird that one USD doesn't buy me 10 less.

Must be some FIAT manipulation by Bernanke or something. Cheesy

OR Gold, Silver, stocks, real estate are inflating vs. Bitcoin too. Basically, only Bitcoin in this world is stable and all other assets fluctuate agaist it! Finally we see the truth!

Glad you see the light my friend Wink!

Poor sarcasm detection xD

BigBlitz, I like how you try to say PrimeDice is cheating (you literally say you don't, but all your posts sound like you do).

It's funny, because even though you complained about lots of losses in a row (which is perfectly normal, seriously, go learn some statistics), you "forgot" to show us this as well:

1 loss in 9 rolls. This game must be rigged so players win more.

Quite Frankly had I have known that I would not have bet on PrimeDice.

I would have just stuck to coinroll.it

We are not saying Stunna cheated you (would still be very hard even if he wanted: he can't know when you withdraw. You can withdraw when you are winning and he cannot simply cheat to make customers always lose or it'll be evident Grin).
TradeFortress only pointed out that Primedice system can be improved.

More or less my exact point. I don't see why he'd constantly let people cash out 10+ Bitcoins if he could just take all their balance. And in extension, why would he then be rigging 0.1 bets?

I really think Stunna needs to fix it up though ASAP, doubt is a VERY powerful thing  Angry

I still think the easiest way to do this would to be simply allowing the user to choose a client seed AFTER being assigned a server seed. That also allows simple minds (Like myself heh) the ability to easily understand & comprehend the concept. The whole JS assigning a client seed transcends me lol
It doesn't matter what seed you choose. As long as the server does not know it, it's OK.

I'm still waiting on someone with more knowledge to explain how CoinRoll's use of nonces make it impossible for the server to know what the next roll is going to be.

Easy. It uses [txid] + nonce. The TXID is supplied by the player. The server seed is updated once a day, and is global. So while the server *can* know next results in advance, it cannot change it after knowing the results (see Provably Fair rule #3). Secrets has being generated until 2023, so Coinroll.it is provably fair.

Oh I get ya now. Fair enough.

Another 9 losses out of 10.

I'm beginning to think PrimeDice has it in for me.  Undecided

Code:
1 minute ago	50.5	2	0.30000000	Lose	48.33
2 minutes ago 50.5 2 0.21915206 Lose 44.71
2 minutes ago 50.5 2 0.10000000 Win 64.61
2 minutes ago 50.5 2 0.10000000 Lose 45.85
2 minutes ago 50.5 2 0.10000000 Lose 23.78

2 minutes ago 50.5 2 0.10000000 Lose 46.72
2 minutes ago 50.5 2 0.10000000 Lose 36.38
this is why i preferred with coinroll due to this reason

prepared server-roll seed = doom

wait, what, PREPARED?

It's PRE_ROLLED?

are you fucking joking me?

I've lost over 10BTC on this site and it's not mentioned anywhere it's pre rolled?!
i wouldn't say its 'PRE-ROLLED' to be exact, but this is what bugs me a bit

Server seed for next roll:
ee69b2a8d6dec664ee0d1fc7e

I'll stick to coinroll for now. hmac_sha512(secret, lastdeposittxid:nonce) seems more legit

Correct me if I'm wrong, but coinroll knows the secret, knows the last deposit ID, what's stopping them from assigning a nonce that gives them a win? (Shoot me down if I'm missing a vital concept)
609  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | 1% House | Instant Betting on: June 05, 2013, 10:29:57 AM
To make it really provably fair.

But wouldn't the server still know the client seed beforehand? I'd think you would have to allow the user/client to be the one to enter it?
610  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | 1% House | Instant Betting on: June 05, 2013, 10:26:19 AM
Currently, the server knows the result if the user does not change the client seed. As something like 99% of users don't even know you can do that, this game is not provably fair. Not saying that it's cheating, but it's not provably fair.

It would literally take 1 line of code. Not securely random, but random enough as the client seed:

var clientSeed = Math.random();

1 line of code to fix or to cheat?

Without being too 'sock puppet' like, I believe that's a pretty unfair assumption. You constantly see people cashing out 1 - 20 Bitcoins and when you look at their previous bets & profit, it's generally substantial. I really really doubt Stunna would be manipulating rolls over 0.1.

You can also change your client seed quite easily, if you look at my previous rolls I change my client seed every time just so I have nothing to b***h about when I lose Tongue It takes a few seconds each time. They're also working on making it easier, Idk what's taking so long though tbh.

Ok. I think I'm number 11, if your Leaderboard only displays the top 10. I got another 0.1 to play with. hehehe.. Will try to make it last longer this time by dividing my starting bet by 10, (or add another zero after the decimal point.)

I think leader board is off total wagered not Prime Points  Undecided

618  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com | The New Way to Roll | 1% House | Instant Betting on: June 04, 2013, 10:22:21 PM
I started with 0.2 or thereabouts. I was willing to lose it. So ... ... but it still sucks because I saw it go to 0.4, then to 0.8... Then 1.5, then I actually got to 2.0. Then the 1% House Edge kicked in.
I would venture a guess most of us wouldn't notice the difference if the house edge was 0%. It is the variance and losing streaks that usually get you.

Are you guys doing the 10x momentous profits with martingale or something else?

Yeh, I don't think I've ever even noticed rolling in the range which is in the houses favour (50 - 50.5 or thereabouts depending on the roll over game). Then again, I'm sure I have without noticing lol
