Maker of First Bitcoin Mining ASIC Acquired in What Could Be Industry's Largest Sale
The China-based company behind the first bitcoin mining ASIC has been acquired, though the exact details of the sale vary.

Canaan Creative, the company that produces the Avalon chip series, confirmed its acquisition by Shandong Luyitong Intelligent Electric PLC today in an email to CoinDesk. Shandong Luyitong is an electronics firm founded in 2003, and that is publicly listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

As for the exact amount paid in the acquisition, initial statements from parties involved or close to the deal indicate it could be the largest-ever exit for bitcoin startup.

According to news source Ifeng.com, Shandong Luyitong paid ¥3.06bn (roughly $466m) in stock purchases and cash to acquire 100% ownership of the firm. Further, it said Shandong Luyitong is planning a private share offering in conjunction with the sale, looking to sell as many as 6.79 billion shares at a price of ¥24.57 per share.

623  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-06-08]Further Economic Woes In Turkey Create Bitcoin Opportunities on: June 08, 2016, 09:43:02 AM
Despite that forecast, Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci is confident the country is on the right track to achieve its growth. Moreover, there is a plan on the table to reach a year-end inflation rate of 7.5%. A lot of that success will hinge on exporting goods from Turkey to other countries, though.

Declines in export have already caused a correction for the 2016 projections. It was initially assumed Turkey would see US$155.5bn in export in 2016, but that target has been cut back to US$150 billion. The first half of 2016 was not on par with expectations, although the numbers were not terrible either.

624  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: June 08, 2016, 09:34:50 AM
The main reason that im buying bitcoin because i need some capital for a altcoin public exchange site, because i cannot afford 1 bitcoin so i earn it piece by piece with the help of trading and if i gain enough like 0.25 bitcoin i will hold it until the bitcoin halving comes in the month of july to earn some more money.

Dont stop there. You can go much further with that. Trading is not that risky like gambling so you will not lose everything in it. You could buy more altcoins and see if there will be profit in it too.

it's not like gambling but you can lost all your money too.
last month i lose arround 0.8btc at RDDcoin the price down from 20sat to 6satosi.

so i think the risk is same, but we can use tips/trick at trading and at gambling only pure luck
625  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn 1BTC a year? on: June 08, 2016, 09:32:38 AM
Earning a single bitcoin is really a hard task and time consuming if you're a beginner. When days pass you will understand various strategies which makes your earning better.

in the beginning of bitcoin earning , im very hard to make 0.001/week , i do faucet everyday after daily work, but im not get anything.
i think at this momenth it's very easy to earn 1btc/year, because usually i earn arround 1btc/month from altcoin trading.
626  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: June 08, 2016, 09:26:06 AM
i quit my job and focus in bitcoin now

It is not a good idea for me. My earnings in bitcoin is not yet stable and I have mouths to feed. So I am still very reliant on my day job's paycheck. When the time comes that my bitcoin earnings can support my family, then I will consider leaving my day job and focus full time on bitcoin.

That will be like an 8 hours of looking at your monitor if you want to really have a good profit. I dont see it for now but maybe someday also. I just hope bitcoin will live for a long time too.

i hope it to, i make plan for long term in bitcoin, holding bitcoin for next 20years, maybe bitcoin will be fail but the chance to succes is more reasonable than fail.
627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with 1,5 BTC? on: June 08, 2016, 09:24:35 AM
For me the best option to do with that amount if to put it as capital and a altcoin trading site to gain more bitcoin and if you think you gain enough amount of bitcoin hold it for incoming bitcoin halving in the month of july to earn money more.

agree it, altcoin trade can give you more profit, but you must do research before choose altcoin, some altcoin have bad network and bad comunity but the price rising (typichal scam coin).
628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I do trading? on: June 08, 2016, 09:21:08 AM
Hello to all, I want to know how I can enter into trading and do trading?

Simply do some research first on what markets you want to trade, then do some research on what exchanges you are able to trade on. Note their reputation and fees, as well as any additional features like loans and leveraging.

Remember that trading is also risky, and should not be done if you don't have any knowledge. Good luck.

630  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Do I Get 0.0023 to 0.01 BTC Per Day on: June 08, 2016, 09:17:21 AM
Hey Everyone; i'm trying to look for a way to get at least $1 - $5 per day in Bitcoin. I have 10 hours of free time, and im looking for a free way to get this much as a starter in Bitcoin.

I need to obtain $20 to continue my course for affiliate marketing; so please help me out with suggestions.

you can star learning bitcoin with faucet, then use the reward for altcoin trading, i think it's the best way for you at this time, you can join signature campaign after you reach jr member.
631  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: June 08, 2016, 09:15:30 AM
The future of the bitcoin is very good but of course I cannot predict this its just something that I think it will be good.
I have some good hope and the halving will maybe also help to it.

I also think the halving will bring some bring some profitable change; I understand it would be a little risky but after looking at some statistics and demand and supply trends; I believe that the bitcoin value you gradually increase after the halving. Also the main thing for bitcoin growth will be , how the bitcoin will react after the halving. If prices do not fall much, then this will be a great success for the bitcoins.

i agree it, bitcoin price will be rising because halving make everyone interesting to holding his bitcoin, also some people keep buying some bitcoin for holding and minner save his bitcoin for selling after halving.
632  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-06-08] “I see Bitcoin like the Internet was in the 90’s” on: June 08, 2016, 09:12:43 AM
Let’s call it a deja-vu. Bitcoin price passed the $500 threshold in late May, something which hasn’t happened in almost two years. Despite reports that it will drop once again, the price is still going strong —at press time, the price continued to increase and almost broke the $600 threshold. The most beloved scenario is that fears in China that the yuan could weaken may have something to do with the sudden growth. China’s decision to restrict the flow of cash out of the country has indubitably prompted concerned citizens to seek ways around capital restrictions and Bitcoin proved to be a sort of safe haven.

633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: June 08, 2016, 09:11:19 AM
You also have to show your ID card, write your name, address etc.
With Bitcoin you don't need to show your ID card, show or write your name and fees are not high as with WU.

It is your government (through Western Union) which is asking for all those details.
Even if a company uses Bitcoin (in the back end) to process remittances, they will still ask for all those details.

now U.S. use bitlicensi, for buying bitcoin you must add ID card, passport etc.
iam afraid in future each exchange will add this requipment too.
634  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: June 08, 2016, 09:03:07 AM
I prefer bitcoin above the gold because the fact is that with the gold you need to have patience and honestly if I do not have one thing its patience to make profit.

Me too , I prefer bitcoin since it is the only thing I have, I don't have gold so obviously I will not choose for it. And bitcoin really has make it more possible to go to trading just like in stocks here in our country. So I prefer bitcoin with so many characteristics you can do with it.
I will choose for Bitcoin and that is because that will be also the future payment method and you cant pay with gold in the future so that is really bad of gold itself.
And you also know now that Bitcoin is even becoming more popular and used the only thing that have to change is the value.
Well, I've been accustomed to using bitcoin than gold, so of course I chose bitcoin, but if possible, better choose both, because bitcoin and gold could earn so much money

For us it is bitcoin what makes us hart go warm, but as investors I chose gold. Gold gives ma more benefits in terms of:
- Security of my investment
- Worth of my investment
- and off course being able to look at your gold

bitcoin is new technology, bitcoin is more simple than gold, we can use bitcoin as payment processor, we can send and receive it anywhere any time
635  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: June 08, 2016, 08:56:42 AM
Whatever majority of altcoins you are mining, the best option is without a doubt, exchange them right away after you mine them to bitcoin and save them. 12 months is a nice timeframe, however after a few years price of bitcoin has the possibility to sore quite high so I think this is the best you need to do. Convert all of your mined altcoins to bitcoin and keep them safe in a hardware wallet if you have more than 2.5 or more BTC in total.

i think better we save 50% of our produce, it's better than sell all of it, look like etherum , the first time people can produce more etherum and the price is very cheap and now the difficult increase each day and you will lost "more chance " to get more roi
636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving is a profitable??? on: June 08, 2016, 07:58:49 AM
I think after the halving, the price will drop again.

Some people say that because of the supply halves, there will be automatically more demand which raises the price, but i don't believe that last thing.

I think the price will go up before halving, and passing the $600 is imho probably what is going to happen. After halving, a lot of people will focus on what the price will do. If it remains steady around its price on short term, i think t will probably go drop again because people will massivly take their profit. The bigger the halving-hype, the bigger the price-swing.

like last halving the price rising after 3-4month after halving, i think we can see the price stable at $600 for long time then the price will be skyrocket to $1000 Smiley
637  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-06-08] Bitcoin Compact Block Relay is an Upgrade to Reduce Block’s... on: June 08, 2016, 07:57:50 AM
Bitcoin Compact Block Relay is an Upgrade to Reduce Block’s Propagation Times
The upgrade also has a new feature called high bandwidth mode, in which nodes can request the same block to multiple peers in the network to decrease latency, at the expense of a slightly higher bandwidth usage.

Benchmarks of this new method exhibited that a typical 1MB full block containing 2,500 transactions can be relayed with only 15KB of data, and 86% of those blocks will propagate immediately without needing a second request for any other missing transactions.

Bitcoin Core team said that this new Bitcoin Improvement Proposal will benefit the network as a whole:

Decreasing block propagation times on the p2p network creates a healthier network with a better baseline relay security margin.

BIP152 has already a working implementation, and its currently being tested by the developer community. Future plans to improve BIP152 may include the replacement of TCP protocol with UDP transmission, and using an error correction mechanism to handle dropped packets. All in all, these improvements are always welcomed, as they will help Bitcoin to be more robust.

638  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: June 08, 2016, 07:51:06 AM
I would say that saving your bitcoins right now is a kind of investment, and if you compare it with online investments it is much more profitable and less risky.

Yeah, the main thing with bitcoin as an investment is that there is literally no risks involved, as if you store your coins in a safe storage place then it means that you are pretty much guaranteed to never lose.

You can also gain as well, from the price hikes. Investing in bitcoin is definitely better than saving or investing in stocks.

agree it, investing in bitcoin is better than saving or investing in stock, but we can't invest all of our money at bitcoin, we must invest at other place too, like gold, properthy etc.
639  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: June 08, 2016, 07:39:29 AM
I think halving have NOTHING with price atm, we had a full two years of bad news, starting with china, russia and mtgox debacle, and on top of that there was and prolly still is internal fight who will control bitcoin and how it`s gona be upgraded

With all the bad news in the bitcoin market usage and adoption nothing happened bad, ppl still used bitcoin everyday, so it natural after hundreds of dumps to try to short we now see steady increase

Even with all the hype about ethereum and a plot try to name it BTC 2.0 at the end all the $$$ from it gona go to bitcoin sooner or later!

See you all past 9000!

each new altcoin claim he is Bitcoin 2.0 , monero, DGB, MAIDAFE etc.
im never trust any altcoin except bitcoin, i think only bitcoin can survive. and im sure in future bitcoin will be 1st currency, maybe some goverment will accept bitcoin.
640  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-06-08] Why the bitcoin has become China’s new darling on: June 08, 2016, 02:50:36 AM
Bitcoin has become the new darling of mainland punters amid a slumbering stock market, heightened expectations of the yuan’s devaluation and even the advantages the payment system offers in dodging Beijing’s anti-corruption drive.

The cryptocurrency has surged nearly 30 per cent in the past two weeks, hitting US$584 on Monday, according to the Bitstamp exchange.

Trading volume on BTC China has jumped three to five times recently, with the majority of trading worldwide conducted via Chinese exchanges.
