621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can i mine something with this crappy pc pliz help on: June 30, 2018, 11:02:34 PM
Can i mine some alt coin o something can u guys pliz help me what option do i have... to get some money.. every dollar its crucial around here

you can mine any CPU algo.... that's pretty much it.  The onboard graphics is only good for displaying stuff on the screen, not much else.

nobody has publicly released a intel HD graphics based mining app....  yet.

Laptops are horrible at cooling themselves off.   They will heat soak.  You will destroy your laptop by mining with it.  It may work at first, but slowly it will reach the point of overheating/die damage and it will start shutting itself off, or rebooting itself.   Then it nosedives fast from there.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What can I mine with my GTX 560 ti? on: June 30, 2018, 10:54:57 PM
560ti too weak for now. Even powerful gpus on the edge of profit

not everyone has the same profit constraints as you...

for instance the machine I mentioned has almost generated 1XMR in ~2 months.   That is 100% profit for me.

so to each his own.
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What can I mine with my GTX 560 ti? on: June 30, 2018, 08:28:26 AM
try my copy of xmr_stak 2.4.2, it should support your card  (the 5 series) for XMR.  Link Here.

I have a ONDA B250D8P with 2 550ti, 2 650ti a 470.

The power draw will suck for the hashrate;  but it does mine.

Just that card itself on nanopool will take well over a year or three to get a 1XMR payout fyi.

I think I compiled 2.4.4 under Cuda 9, so no support for those older cards....  I had an issue with that.  It was compatible with the 6xx series and higher I think.  It only saw my 2x 650ti's....

So best stick with the 2.4.2 build.   Also it wont hurt to give the alternate DLL's a test to see if they have better hashrate. Link is in the same thread.

you are severely limited on what apps you can mine with, because I believe you need cuda 8.5 and earlier, maybe even cuda 8 or 7.5....

your 1070's will work like a champ with this app, and you're not limited much at all as to what algo you are able to get a miner app for.
624  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit.net is a scam ? on: June 27, 2018, 06:20:44 AM
as long as they have the private key;  and that private key is processed the exact same way on the other chain...

I don't see why they wouldn't be able to recover the funds by inputting the address into the other wallet and tx-ing the funds back to where they came from.

I would imagine they are weary of scams when it comes to anything dealing with private keys.

again;  this is assuming many things....  things frankly neither you or I know.   This is why I said prayer...  dealing with a 3rd party in general is always a risk.  Mistakes do not make it any easier.

I am just trying to look at this objectively, from both sides.   Maybe add insight to what could be possible past initial perceptions.

It may be as simple as do what I said above;  but there may be processes and things in place to limit that ability....  I haven't read much about funds being stolen via a hack..... maybe they are super anal about security to the n'th degree.

Trust me;  I've caught them on shady things, and a link to their own twitter post was the evidence they lied to me about a certain "fee" they were being dishonest about during the high tx fee craze days.

They were charging .0025BTC+/tx, to [in their own words] "speed up the network and make the tx's confirm faster", wherein the Tx I was receiving (along with a multitude of others being sent in that day and age) had .0017 of tx fees total put on the tx. (all those people paid .0025+ each).   When the tx cost went under .0005, they were still charging near .0026, and the tx they were sending, were using a fee of ~.0009

They never answered me, or refunded me.. they did silently change it back to a nominal reasonable fee.   For a blind 3rd party.... this is what I expected.  this is why I don't deposit into them unless its to do a quick sale.

What i've gathered,
Every TX they do;  They keep ~30-80% of Tx fees paid.    ~15-30% if only one person's tx is going through;  much higher percentages if multiple people are withdrawing at once.
This is my first time speaking of this part.   I think I am fairly certain now.   I have received enough Tx from them to deduce its at least 30% of that withdraw fee (BTC).  I'm curious to hear what other people can add up.   For the amount they tx (following the accounts), they have to be making lots of profit clean off the top..... let alone listing fees, wallet repair fees, etc.
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: XMR-stak-JK 2.4.4 Compiled with no devfee on: June 27, 2018, 04:23:13 AM
Try CUDA 9.1, you'll slow it down with 9.2 unless you know what you're doing.

Cuda 9 fail.

Right now im working on cuda 8:

Sneak Preview

Edit***

Fail again.

The dirty results
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: XMR-stak-JK 2.4.4 Compiled with no devfee on: June 27, 2018, 03:29:32 AM
@JaredKaragen   Did you ever compile XMR-STAK-2.4.8 ?  Thx

2.4.5 is all that fierce-uk has released thus far.....    is it another fork or something?

Update:
Im working on my 5th attempt on compiling 2.4.5.    VS 2017 is uninstalling as I type this, and Ill have to rip out all IDE's and start over by installing fresh... again.

Probably going to DL and install the latest version of the cuda toolkit as well.... hopefully they play nice.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: June 26, 2018, 09:09:32 AM
I have the impression to not buy any more GPU of this generation for mining.

wait for the next round;  where things will be back into the green again.

until then, make the best you can with what you have, or turn off and wait for a change before things move up.  If you need to shut off for a month or two;  I would assume most professional farms have earned a "vacation" from 24/7 work....  at the cost of a month or two rent.   I think it would have been one of my professional strategies if I had taken the loan and opened my own legit farm....  but I myself am glad that I didn't.   I just kick myself for not spending when I should and could have..... I'd have earned hand over fist more.

Also remember, BTC is reaching it's low.  Think back to BTC==$200.    We are in that territory again, but since BTC is already established;  recovery should be swift.   If it is;  imagine the profit ratio on the climb of the real "third spike" in price that things of value tend to do when traded.........   That's going to be the honey-pot.   I think selling anything right now is purely weak hands... unless your business profile dictates it.

But Once BTC rises back up to 10K... profitability I think would be less of a concern for most.   20k+, everyone would be happy.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: June 26, 2018, 01:56:49 AM
I wonder if those 300,000 GPUs that were supposedly returned to Nvidia from somewhere in Asia were all mining specific GPUs? That could mean that Nvidia has to eat a significant loss on them if they can't sell them to gamers.... hmmm

that is my take. I did watch ohgoditisagirl on you tube she mentioned some cards have a hidden hdmi port.

so with a different plate it could be okay.

i wonder if they will sell them.

Well, what they are telling media outlets is that ther new model's release is pushed back to later this year because of the overage....
629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: June 25, 2018, 11:35:24 PM
I remember Lyra2 being top dog in '15....

I'm gonna consider switching to it myself.....

I have been lazy so I have been doing smos to zec to nicehash.

Almost no work just let it run.

I will need to do more work with the cards now.

yeah with everything being so unstable recently, every test I have done has been seemingly less profitable than sitting on xevan till recently..... where I need to do more tests again... but I think ill switch over a few people I service tonight most likely....    I do remember lyra2 being very consistent, but when mona and very's diffs went crazy in early '16, I stepped away into skien.

I have been super lazy with my own gear;  its all working on XMR (almost to that 1 XMR payout on nanopool finally) just so I can add it to my portfolio.  I dont care about profitability;  Ill only sell it in the future if it goes 2-4X what its worth now.... which is realistic.  Till then, Ill sit on it.

Working all day for the past few months has been taking its toll on me;  was sick all of last week.

Hearing all of the issues with nvidia and shortages, but overages....   its all BS if you ask me.   There is still a gpu shortage while in the same paragraph, they will say that nvidia has an overstock of GPU's?   such insanity.    I know its probably a problem based in symantics, but c'mon... don't talk out of both sides of your mouth Nvidia;  we get enough of that in politics.

631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Agilmine - Your REAL altcoin FPGA miner on: June 25, 2018, 08:47:51 PM
Is a devfee a problem for you?
People will still find ways how not to pay developers.

The most important is the profit and payback of this equipment. Dev, for example, increase the devfee and reduce the cost.

perpetual never ending fees, are not the answer.

Relying on a devfee to cover the hardware costs is an insane idea to be frank... not a winning strategy for the dev or the hardware.

this is not a thread for 4 post users to post a binary...

or harass people for donations.

get that crap out of here.

@JaredKaragen   Did you ever compile XMR-STAK-2.4.8 ?  Thx
not yet... I guess its been releasing a lot of updates.

Im gonna hopefully try the VS2015 route later today... but I need sleep... havent slept yet... was a busy day yesterday.

*snip*
I just want 8 BTC then i will remove negative trust and they will never hear from me again.    Cry

I feel your pain.

One issue I can see is this which is a clip from thsir rules page:
"All the user's personal data are strongly encrypted and their transfer between the Stock Exchange and users is fulfilled via enforced paths using attack-proof cryptoalgorythms."

This could ambiguously mean that your private keys are based on your login credentials and encrypted... its not just a matter of "copying them over"....     they could have convoluted their system to behave in such a manner to make it difficult to steal info.

The best you can do is a message and a prayer.

FWIW They still pay me for this signature you see below.  And every TX and RX from their wallets that are online and correct I have received thus far.  My affiliation with them stops there.  I use their exchange because my funds are initially deposited there.  I have withdrawn quite a bit over the years from them in BTC resulting from gains in my re-investments.

I hope things turn out better for you.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gpu mining going to die this year? on: June 21, 2018, 11:51:48 PM
Hello! I would like you guys to ask guys what do you think about "Gpu mining die this year"

It will die just as it did in 2015, 2016, and 2017 when people were freaking over market flux......

'cause its been so horribly 'dead' through those times leading to now... ya know....

Sarcasm aside, I don't think it will truly die.   You must evolve with the animal.
636  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who likes pod miners? on: June 20, 2018, 10:45:35 PM
im curious at what the input voltage range supported will be.

I have a bit of a 12V battery system at home with a max operating voltage of 14V... typically floating at 13.9...   would this be acceptable?

I'm still in for pods in the future.   They are gonna my little solar powered munchers.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: XMR-stak-JK 2.4.4 Compiled with no devfee on: June 20, 2018, 10:12:00 PM

I really appreciate if you can compile the latest version 2.4.5. Thanks

Read post #92, ya lazy newb.

lol, yeah, ive been under the weather the past week and my life has definitely not been normal.  I am hoping to get into work today and work late to try and make up for lost time.

As soon as I am able to sit down at a high speed internet location, ill attempt another recompile.

I noticed with 2.4.4 my cuda libraries would not be able to use the old gtx 5xx series and older.... no bueno.   I may have to remove cuda 9, and reinstall cuda 7.5 and cuda 8, and see if I can get support back in the 4.4.5 version.    I attempted swapping for my old cuda_backend.dll file that worked; and it crashed the app, so I am assuming that happens because the new algos and functions added to cuda_backend.dll were moved around and changed somehow making the old library foreign language to the new app build.

Ill be walking into uncharted territory, because I believe to compile with cuda 7.5 and 8, Ill need to install VS2015....   so yeah.   fingers crossed I guess.

I just wish this crap would continue working after the first time you reboot the machine.

Not helping that im doing it on a laptop, but I ritually hibernate it now.  just cause.

█▓▒░-< zpool.ca is now fully integrated at algopools.com. >-░▒▓█
There you can search for every available algorithm and/or your preferred coin and choose the corresponding mining pool.

Feel free to add new coins or algos (red contact button on the top).

Kind regards,
Vincent
Do we actually add the coin/algo or is it just a form to request you to add new coins? I'm just started mining PRiVCY yesterday, and I feel really good about it, but I'd be a little more comfortable not putting all my eggs in one basket and having Awesome Miner profit switch, and just set my payout coin on Zpool as Privcy, and leaving the other auto exchange pools set to BTC.

looks like a request to add a coin/algo to be added to the pool to mine as well as give the option for you to be paid in it..... just as long as it is one one of the exchanges zpool uses, it will probably be added.
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Agilmine - Your REAL altcoin FPGA miner on: June 20, 2018, 02:40:58 AM
at this point, we are more pro open than close, i would just feel so wrong by forcing a dev fee on the miners, which i really hate personally being a miner myself. but we also need to figure out a way to protect the copy right, these bitfiles worth months of hardwork, it would also be wrong if someone just steal it and use on some cheaper clones..

As long as hardware costs aren't unrealistic, I would be in to purchase one this being the case.

People on this site can be animals, on either side of the coin.  so as long as you approach the sales and claims in a realistic manner... things should go well for you in that regard.
