China to UK is 2 days by UPS

So usually from the day you order it's in your hand in 4 days.

PM me pool details (URL, username, password) and I will take a look into it and fix what can be fixed from my side.

It just runs off a bitcoin address so you can use your own

Pool: stratum+tcp://stratum.mining.eligius.st:3334
User: 1KhKRmqbuYh7gmt8DZMWQpPtGWSZ9eWuYk
Pass: x

PS When I manually add eligius to my miners it works ok, just seems to be through the proxy there is an issue.
623  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: March 11, 2014, 09:04:20 AM
So I used putty to change the following line on my saturn.

L61   0x86,0x%02X,0x02,0x11

Then , esc, :wq, reboot.

Nothing ever happens though and the settings just revert back when it reboots.

I've been having a lot of trouble with unit in the browser, sometimes even incognito browser will not show the advanced tab, or the proper firmware version or let me upgrade the firmware. Could be related. I could be missing something though. This thread is nothing but a jumble with no clear directions.

Once you have made the edit you need to type

/etc/init.d/cgminer.sh restart

If you reboot the machine any changes made are lost.

Browser problems are usually due to pages being cached, ctrl+f5 them usually works.

It's not just Ants that are having a problem with Eligius, my KNC equipment is doing the exact same thing.
625  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: March 09, 2014, 10:04:06 PM
How do you use 2 psu's on 1 antminer?

Do you power up the 2nd blade first then the main one with the control board?

If you want to do it the posh way Smiley

As I have multiple rigs being hired out, it would be very handy if the main admin page showed say the last 10-20 rentals at the bottom to save looking them all up individually
I see this has now been added, many thanks djeZo Smiley

They have said to many people they are happy to have a visit but as yet no one as bothered to go look. All you have to do is give him a call point him to this thread grab a camera phone and say show me the stuff. We would all be very much in your debt.

PS be sure to visit the other site 1 mile down the road where the chips have supposedly arrived.

where are pics and prototype etc etc or at least something?

Searing

Indeed,

I am more than happy to go over and have a look and report back, but if there isn't a working prototype to view then to me there is little point making the trip.

Now they 'say' they have one on the website but the fact no evidence of one has been posted raises alarm bells.

I hope I'm proved wrong, as it would be nice to have a UK vendor.

If we want to keep everything separate, is it ok to run one copy of the proxy program for each rig, on a separate port? Also what if we have both SHA256 and scrypt rigs, do we run separate proxies for each? Is it possible to specify different pools.conf, or can we just run the proxy program without a pools.conf?

Yes that's the way I do it with 8 seperate instances, just make a new directory for each, then each rig has it's own pools.conf file

Also in the bat file add a title so you can easily see which windows is which eg.

title Mining Rig 1
leaserigproxy.exe.....
pause

What exactly was the issue with antminers?

Not sure what the cause was, but I reflashed the firmware on them all and they were fine after that

Come to think of it, is that message appears to the bottom of your wallet?
That's a warning and it's there because the code didn't remove it. Don't worry, it's nothing. Just ignore it.

Duly ignored, thanks Smiley

Does anyone know where I can find a Windows binary of cgminer 3.7.2?  This is the latest ver with GPU support if I recall.

The author's site.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28402.0;topicseen

has a link to his file distribution, which includes old versions:

http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/3.7/

Those are just the linux ones, he removed the windows versions.

Wierd, mine has got past the stuck block but still says checkpoint too old

Even deleted everything and redownloaded the blockchain with same result.

634  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 750 GH/s - 3TH/s Miners from $3565 - www.bitcoinultra.co.uk on: March 04, 2014, 10:31:31 PM
Seems a bit expensive considering what the Chinese are now selling but the question I most have, after looking over the specs, is...

What ASIC chip are they using? 0.65W/GH is a big claim. Even the Chinese A1 boxes only claim 0.88W/GH!

It must be the most efficient Bitcoin mining chip made so far. Who paid for it's development? What node? etc.

The chip is the Coincraft A1, it's in the first post Smiley

http://bitmine.ch/?page_id=863

Price wise the 3TH is on a par with 15x Antminers which would get you the same speed in a couple of days. The downside of that many ants is space, psu's, cables, network switches and the biggie power usage.

It will all come down to when they are actually available, if they can make the timeline they have set I'd probably buy.

I'm only 90 minutes away, would definately drive over to collect mine and report back.

Can I set miners to mine a new coin at specific time? By pre-entering coins details.

If you mean for coin launches the way I deal with that is to set up a new profile

"NewCoinName"
Pool 1: New Coin Pool
Pool 2: Regular Pool

This will mine on your regular pool (as pool 1 will be dead) until the coin launches then switch over

638  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner for sale - UK Seller - NEW LOWER PRICE! on: March 04, 2014, 12:42:18 PM
Price is now lowered to 1.3 bitcoins.

Wish you'd done that yesterday I ordered some more direct, but it is still tempting...  Smiley

If you'd still sell 2 of them at that price so BTC2.6 total, with escrow through SebsatianJu then I think we can have a deal
639  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: March 03, 2014, 10:16:58 PM
Been trying to solve a problem with cgminer constantly crashing and restarting on my antminers.

I've ugraded my firmware to the latest as part of my troubleshooting, and so far it's looking like it's cured the problem but...

I use CGRemote to access the miner, and it's gone from Read/Write access to Read Only

In my file /etc/config/cgminer I have

Code:
 option api_allow 'W:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx'

So not sure why it's not working anymore.

EDIT: Answer

I managed to figure it out so here's the answer in case anyone else needs it

Edit /etc/init.d/cgminer

Find the line that says

Code:
PARAMS="$AOPTIONS $POOL1 $POOL2 $POOL3 $_pb --api-listen --api-network

change to

Code:
PARAMS="$AOPTIONS $POOL1 $POOL2 $POOL3 $_pb --api-listen --api-allow $_aa --api-network

it will then use the option api_allow that was set in the /config/cgminer file

You can enable cgminer logging in the script/command line where you're starting cgminer; do like this:

cgminer ...cgminer-options... 2>>cgminer.log

This will redirect full cgminer logs into cgminer.log and so you'll be able to check what happened with cgminer just before it crashed.

Thanks for that, it's running off an openwrt router and so there are probably space considerations hence no default logging, plus need to find where to edit.  Anyway it's heading in the right direction I'll ask in the antminer support thread someone there will know Smiley
