Thanks for the in-depth update, get some well deserved sleep when you can.

Looking like 0.00735415/share this week
623  Economy / Securities / Re: When GLBSE is closed, what happen to owner of ASICMiner PT? on: May 02, 2013, 03:45:28 AM
AM was not a PT during GLBSE days; it's like any asset, with bells and whistles. friedcat slaved away to make sure the appropriate folks got their correct share amount after the fall. I'm sure those present at the time would be able to enlighten us.

I guess friedcat fell asleep again before he sent out the divs Grin

With his hand on the mouse, cursor over the "Send" button...
625  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 02, 2013, 03:14:29 AM
This is my 2nd week as an AM share owner. :-) Do the satoshis come every week? Why? I figured they were a means of accounting for share ownership/transfers and therefore would only happen whenever a transfer was executed, not every week...

They occur every week, almost like a "notification" of incoming dividends. Those satoshis add up you know... After 100 million weeks of dividends, that's a free BTC per share!
626  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 02, 2013, 02:39:31 AM
that's kind of what I meant.  On the one hand, I appreciate seeing the satoshi comments, but on the other, it gets old to have a bunch of people say +1 to it or "I got mine too" or whatever.  I'm not trying to single you out, I'm guilty of it too to a degree.  Then I could setup the email notifications on the VIP thread and just the watch on the other. this one.

Well, people can't really say 'First!' on a thread over 200 pages so it's now 'Satoshis!' I think it's part of the fun (especially for first time share owners) but I do also see how it could get old. I'm sure people could adjust if majority spoke against it.  Undecided

Confirmation satoshis!!

This link would help best: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=188550.0

P.S. Awesome name btw

I recommend BTCT.co as I've worked with Burnside effortlessly.
629  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER Auction: 50 Block Erupter Blades CHECK OP FOR PAYMENT on: April 30, 2013, 04:56:05 PM
Don't worry about him. Friedcat did his part for the auction, wait for John and the other admins to take action. His future bids won't be taken as seriously.

So ASICMINER don't have secondary pool in case 1st pool went offline Huh. Isn't that like.... easy to setup or something?
We are switching to solo mode since we could not find enough pools having stable connection from China to distribute the hashpower.

The solo solution is being tested/done along with the deployment. The only problem is transparency. We plan to do it with writing information to the coinbase transaction to let everyone check.

Forgive my ignorance on the technicalities of mining but does that mean the possibility of starting your own pool? Will there be a document/sheet being updated live for shareholders to see? I'm sure other maybe wondering the same thing

Cheers
632  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTCTC][[ASICMINER-PT]] - Public trading of ASICMINER shares on: April 29, 2013, 12:07:49 PM
I have posted 3 motions.

One removes some superfluous pre-IPO terms.
One updates (mostly removes or reduces) share transfer fees.
One removes the management fee as long as I am majority owner of BTC Trading Corp.

The latter two are worded such that they are an improvement on the current terms in all situations for everyone involved.

Cheers.

Excellent motions, keep up the good work!!!
633  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER Auction: 50 Block Erupter Blades on: April 28, 2013, 01:40:46 AM
I can understand all the bids; however, how are we to know if the people bidding are even able to afford them?

Meaning... I don't want to big out people that might not even have the coin to afford them.  I don't want to be outbidding myself.

Also, is proof needed to show hat I have the coins available.

All that said; when are these units to ship?  Any other information as to when payment is to be made vs ship dates, etc?

As previously mentioned in the last auction, those that cannot pay and are joybidding will have their accounts be moved to the scam accusation section by a moderator (John K). In the last auction, winners received their blades within a week after the auction ended. Getting your blades before Avalon Batch 2? Well worth the premium if you're a hardcore miner with enough coins in your pocket. John K will provide more info once he logs on.

I do have confirmation from friedcat that it NOT official, it does serve a purpose of providing some info.

I'm sure that when there is an official one up, friedcat will announce it at the appropriate time.

http://asicminer.co - stay upto date.

Is this official or no?

Apart from friedcat saying it himself, there is no definitive way to determine AM deployment.

However, one could visit websites likes:

http://bitcoincharts.com/

http://bitcoin.sipa.be/

From this, you could see that total network hash rate had jumped by 20 TH/s in the last couple days. Now, this leads to the following possibilities:

1) BFL had shipped en masse

2) Avalom Batch 2 shipment is completed

3) One man farm, hashing with over 1 million GPU cards

4) ASICMiner starting their deployment

You tell me

OK - I tell you: You're misinterpreting the hashrate estimate.

Use bitcoin.sipa.be on the 7 or 14 day windows. Do not use the bitcoincharts estimates. If you see the hashrate swining wildly it's nearly alway luck rather than massive jumps and drops in hashrate. I do my own analysis of the hashrate and as of 12 hours ago the network hashrate estimate stood at ~ 74 Thps. There has been no increases or fluctuations in the past few days.

Ok fair enough and thanks for clarifying. I was hoping for option 3 though...

Just wanted to throw some major props to Burnside's passthru, he transferred ONE (1) ASICMiner share for me. I recommend for any and all newcomers interested in purchasing ASICMiner shares!
639  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER Auction: 10 Block Erupter Blades -ended- on: April 24, 2013, 03:19:34 AM
Friedcat,

What about those who were promised free sample boards?

His response:

As a miner I look forward to the product, BFL needs a serious competitor
The products for sale will not be very early. However, if approved by all my partners and
motion-passed by our shareholders,
we will be giving out a small batch of our first-generation
products to the community for free.

Interpretation: Are you willing to cut profits from dividends so a few folks get some free boards? If so, you better be able to convince his people and 51% of shareholders to do so.
