621  Economy / Economics / Re: Which city deserves to be the blockchain capital? on: October 27, 2022, 10:48:57 AM
Interestingly Amsterdam is not far away from the current climate neither. I mean I agree that London is on another level when we are talking about finance, they are literally the headquarters of the world and even though USA looks like a richer nation and has wall street which is known as a big finance center, London is a lot bigger when it comes to moving money around like crazy.

Many people are suggesting London as blockchain's capital, I remember a project I was hyped up about which was initially built in London is Pillar an altcoin.
The altcoin PLR is used as fuel for the Pillar phone app.

So, crypto should be feeling very welcome there if the regulations are met, the law is not clear on it as much as we want it to be, because not every bit of angle on crypto is covered right now, simple stuff like trading and exchanges could happen, but we could also have a lot more stuff going on like defi or nft or whatever which could be built all there.

Yes you're right you also have to consider the law before making blockchain capital for London, I doubt OP checked the whole laws and regulations regarding the consideration of blockchain as capital for London.
622  Economy / Economics / Re: "Be your own Bank with Bitcoin" - A reminder why this is so important! on: October 26, 2022, 11:41:43 AM
https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/woman-holds-up-lebanese-bank-13000-her-own-money-advocacy-group-says-2022-09-14/

" One woman with a gun and some associates briefly held hostages at a branch of BLOM Bank (BLOM.BY) in the capital Beirut, before leaving with more than $13,000 in cash from her account.... "

" Lebanon's banks have locked most depositors out of their savings since an economic crisis took hold three years ago, leaving much of the population unable to pay for basics. "

Let's just imagine this scenario where you have to "rob" a Bank to get access to your own money that you deposited with them. We think these things are impossible, but it is happening and this is a reminder that it does still happen.  Angry

Bitcoin allows you to be your OWN Bank .....and it allows you to have access to your own money, without any intermediary having the power to block it. Just make sure that you have sole access to your Private keys.  Wink

The importance of Bitcoin cannot be neglected in the current ERA, but it cannot completely rule out the importance of FIAT and the banks. The main key factor is decentralized and unregulated status. The majority of people still hesitate to invest in bitcoin. Hence, replacing bitcoin with the conventional system would be much farther away.
623  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is a creeping beast on: October 26, 2022, 11:38:47 AM
Every now and then we get new monetary policies and as money supply keeps growing too rapidly inflation sets in which inturn reduces the purchasing power of our various fiat currencies. This inflation don't just happen spontaneously it starts with a comfortable price hike everyone can cope up with and continually increase until it becomes noticeable.

It comes in stages the first face might only affect the poor and small scale entrepreneurs, the second phase might be a matter of concern for medium  scale entrepreneurs ,the third stage is when the large scale investors gets affected too and the final stage is when the producers start feeling the impact on the cost of raw material and reduction in production quality and patronage. Before this time there have been slight change in material cost but it might not be too obvious to stair national concern.

The world at this point needs a decentralised currency that can be monitored through a public ledger  that way excessive money printing will be curtailed and going by how challenging keeping up with the rapid inflation has become there is every tendency of having worst GDPs in coming years because if manufacturers and Producers fails to meet up the hight cost of production then they will in due cause turn to low standard products just to keep the demands and stay in production

Inflation is not a problem of one country or nation; in the current ERA, it's an emerging global problem that almost every country faces. Also, there aren't any specific factors that can be responsible for inflation. There can be buna ch of reasons which can lead towards inflation. But I'm afraid I have to disagree with the idea of decentralized currency, as it would not be fruitful for the economy because of its decentralized status and having no regulatory authority. Only sufficient investment and proper financial planning and budgeting can help to control inflation.
624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could 17.5k BTC actually be 13-14k pre-inflation? on: October 26, 2022, 11:36:09 AM
So i'm basically just thinking out loud but with inflation going rampant and last 2 years everything went up at least 20% in price and value do you think that 17.5k
(which could be a bottom in current bear cycle) BTC could actually be 13-14K preinflation and 17.5k as of now a bottom adjusted for inflation?

I think in short term it's possible for bitcoin to reach 17k or even 16 or 15k, but in long run, it'll cross 60k easily.

I made a thread where everyone will predict the price of btc whether it'll hit the mark of 45k/BTC but it seems we're a long way from hitting that mark and maybe we'll have to wait 2 more years for bitcoin to actually go over that price.
625  Economy / Economics / Re: Business failure among small-scale entrepreneurs on: October 26, 2022, 11:32:32 AM
It is true that maintaining a business isn't easy and that's why a business that's already seeing its peak should maintain its consistency. That's all that matters in most businesses because even if you're the best right now.

But, you're not consistent in what you do like marketing, customer support and innovation then you're going to be the last someday if you're not able to maintain that. Especially for these businesses that requires continuous upgrade and innovation, they'll be left behind if they don't accept that fact.

You are correct that constant attention and proper management are necessary for any new startup. There are a bunch of examples of startups that fall due to not being adequately managed. You must possess adequate management skills and an appropriately trained and eligible team to run your startup and lead it towards a profitable business.
626  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Education seems to have failed in some developing country on: October 26, 2022, 11:30:05 AM

back in the days where big businesses in town subsidized the kids of their employees to go to school but when big businesses are compromised by unions, it shuts down. kids suffer to listen to apathetic teachers.

government has got a lot of things to intervene including education as a priority in building a nation. not just in Nigeria but in many different countries, education has failed especially when teachers are not paid well.

You can't blame education for unemployment. Lack of opportunities is also an essential factor for unemployment. If there aren't sufficient opportunities for educated people, it will result in unemployment. So, yes, you are correct that education does not guarantee jobs and can never secure employment. Still, it supports finding a good opportunity that fits your skillset and education.

630  Economy / Economics / Re: Education on: October 25, 2022, 09:30:49 AM
Education is not the only key to success anymore, then we all be believe that, if we don't go to school, we can't make it, the country is something else, we should find all means to be a successful person in life, education is good, but we have to find all means to make it, country which a graduate is riding bike, someone that spend thousands of naira to go to the school, is now riding bike, imagine,

So is always good to invest in once self, than working under someone, which you won't have time for yourself,

Just an advise

Yes, education is not only key to success but one of the essential parts of success.
You can't ignore the value of education to any extent.

Also, I agree that you should invest in once self, but you can't assess the right way to invest in yourself unless you aren't adequately educated on what to do and how to do it.
631  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚡8BET.io⚡ COINOPOLIS II Crypto Slot ⚡ LOCKED EXPANDING WILD RESPINS 💥 on: October 25, 2022, 09:27:33 AM
My friend is a member of this site; as per him, his experience with the site has always remained good, and he has never faced any issues with the site.
However, except for the customer services, they take a long time to respond and usually are not responsive as they might be.

I think the site admin needs to work on this on a priority basis.
632  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: October 24, 2022, 02:39:37 PM
While playing a game, consider casino by playing many games. You can learn more from it.Because nothing we can get free, learning from each game will make you get all your old loss. When you earned certain money, you should have an habit of withdraw such funds.Because if you keep on playing means, it may leads to loss.Actually our mindset will not allow to do so.But we should over come the mindset and get away from huge loss. After some days you can play to win some games.

Every time I enter a casino, I have a winning mentality, and I refrain from spending more than normal, that's why I always limit myself to my deposit and when I run out I don't deposit more, one day I deposit more than normal to divide it into several days and it turns out that in a game I felt that I got addicted, and when I saw it I had eaten the entire money of what was going to be my fun in days, and those days I could not play or do anything, because if I put more money that would affect my daily expenses and that is not the idea, I think that above all responsibility should always persist, that is what separates us from being human from animals.

Yes, you are right. There were many vulnerabilities in gambling sites, and sites still have them. Things change occasionally, and fixes are made upon acknowledging those bugs. It was not a new thing in the past and the current ERA. These changes are a part of better development so need not be worried for the same.

Welcome to the forum, OP. Your post doesn't seem to be much clear. I also checked the website and found that a bunch of work is required. Response time was also found to be slow. Also, it's not attractive to new users. I would suggest you hire some good administrators and moderators for your site.

636  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: October 24, 2022, 02:28:00 PM
No doubt Roobet has acquired a good reputation in the market. I have reviewed many users' reviews and barely found any negative thoughts against a single user. Also, the wide range of games collection and the fast withdrawal and deposit process has made it an unbeatable casino compared to the other casinos. So keep it up, guys.

638  Economy / Gambling / Re: Information of Crypto Casinos License and KYC requirements on: October 23, 2022, 08:23:29 AM
Well, in my opinion, KYC should be mandatory for all casinos due to the reasons shared in your post and other reasons.
However, it increases the chances of credible players and helps prevent abuse, such as hacking or any unauthorized bluff playing and cheating.
Therefore, all casinos must implement KYC for the sake of the presentation of the casino's reputation and players.

639  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoinpenguin.com on: October 23, 2022, 08:17:35 AM
What are your guys' experiences with bitcoinpenguin?

Honestly, I have no experience with this site, but after checking the comments of different members on this forum, I am a bit confused due to the mixed response of the users. Some are positive, and some are negative. However, I can conclude unless I would try it myself or get any credible information from any friend. However, I will share my findings after going through this site.
640  Economy / Gambling / Re: CoinGames is back! on: October 23, 2022, 08:10:59 AM
Ohhh, Interesting i saw the Post then i just checked the profile its from 2013 and impressive too old profile and still a topic odlf that profile is being Discussed. That the Beauty of this platform. But It doesn't make sense to discuss as the profile is already Inactive for ancient times.

If it is something interesting, it can cause some emotion for many, because it is something that comes from back and it is an old site, but it is necessary to see if it is well presented under the requirements that we always look for, what I want to say is that it has the enough confidence to operate there and not become a site where you have a bad time, because there are many sites that I have seen that have this approach and things do not end very well, so from my own experience, it is better to be cautious, now if it is the same but with a much improved version, I like it, because I will always support companies that resurface and rise like the phoenix.

This thread is way too old (2013). also, the site isn't accessible; I don't understand why it's still under discussion.
I think the site is already down. Also, the admin is inactive, and the admin himself found no response. So I believe We better leave this topic and move towards another one.
