You should delete the old wallet and all the data that was used in previous version
and create a new one.
When you open the ncc you should import your private key.
After that you will have 2 accounts in the same wallet

the primary which will be empty an the other one
that should have some your nem balance.

I asked a question. But it got ignored. I bumped it and Patmaster answered, and there was nothing that could be done about NEM holders being in a minority at launch, apparently. NO but I have seen you here for a longer time so
I thought that maybe you are interested more in details in this project.

The split you mentions is not correct the developers (core team) are not entitled to the 65%.
The developers will get 25% of all stakes that means 1000 stakes for the core team.

3000 stakes (75%) were planned to be distributed so after sockpuppet eradication
about half 1500 stakes will be put apart for long term projects.

I think is good to have funds aside for projects.

AFTER LAUNCH:
Ideally you should remove all traces of that private key in cleartext after you've imported it into a password protected wallet. After that your wallet is the most important thing and you should have multiple backups of it on different drives.
All NEM wallets are encrypted and password protected by default which is why it's a much safer way to keep your private key than to have the cleartext lying around.

But when you lose the backups as well. Is it still possible to enter your wallet with the Private key I have stored?

I think if you loose or delete your wallet you need to create a new one
and then import the same private key you have stored in it to access the accounts (funds) tied to this private key.

Also I would suggest you for security reason to make a copy of the private key
also on paper or some other storage device to not loose it in case your PC or laptop stops working.

will resolve anything also peging to FIAT is the same as for instance
