641  Economy / Services / Re: Need a Sr Member account on: March 25, 2018, 10:56:13 PM
Buying accounts from the forum members will not advisable for anyone. You have to understand that merit system here so your newbie account can goes to higher if you make the quality posts on the various threads.
As Bl4nkcode said you have already been tagged red by some DT members.
There is section(Accounts and Invites) here in the forum being used for buying btctalk accounts.
Sorry but I did not really understand everything thats why I created a mistake . Is there anyway to remove my negative trust?
Hmmm, I believed there are some ways to restore your Negative Trust back to Normal but, I've heard it was difficult that's why we really need to take good care of our accounts while it has no negative trust. It's your big mistake to attempt making a deal with the OP. I suggest you to start creating a new account and try to post constructive posts in order to rank up. I'm sure that you will still catch up to the rank of your tagged account if you create a new one and make sure that you will take care of your account this time, but if you can do good things here in the Forum like giving back a wrong send Bitcoin, your Negative trust will be removed and might even give you Green trust instead. But when will that happen?
It's your mistake to fall under a trap of a Newbie Member.
I hope you learned some lesson.
642  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie Problems how to eliminate? on: March 25, 2018, 12:27:36 PM
I think that restricting posting to a few newbie boards is a better solution.
Yeah, what a brilliant idea Mr. Now I remembered, I knew some Forums in internet where this is one is implemented. There are some discussions where Only established members can post/reply their suggestion and Newbie members is only allowed to read it. There is no reply button/link for Newbies. In short, Newbies are limited where they can post. Yeah, this sounds cool. Maybe this is the solution we were looking for in this entire time, to stop newbies from making spams. What do you think Mr. Jet Cash. Since this is your idea, I'm sure you will support this to be implemented. I will also support this one.
Is our Admin is the only one who can do implementations in the Forum? I think we should tell Mr. Theymos about this or even to our Moderators. Or let me guess, did they already knew all about this?

But, in some ways. This idea still got its disadvantages. But we will find a solution for it too later on.
643  Other / Serious discussion / Re: ATTENTION- Stop receive airdrop token without knowledge on: March 25, 2018, 04:26:03 AM
I've also noticed it. I've joined so many airdrops in the past but, to all airdrops I've joined I only received about 10% out of 100%. It only means that the rest of airdrops didn't give me tokens or maybe a fake. In the left 90%, there is about 30% of airdrops I joined are the airdrops who didn't gave me tokens and the fake are about 50% and the 10% is I'm not so sure.
The bad thing is, I always used my main email to join airdrops in the past, which we should use dummy emails instead in order not to be a victim of frauds and hackers. BUT as long as our passwords are secured and still unknown to these hackers, there are still a possibility that our account might not be compromised. Just giving advice, don't give your personal information, keep being anonymous in Internet because Internet world is really is good in fooling people. Always think before you click.
644  Other / Meta / Re: New child board for merit talk? on: March 25, 2018, 03:22:44 AM
There are so many threads about Merit System that has been made these days, and we can't just let them post the same topic about merits over and over again because it is already spamming. That's why I also agreed to the OP that a child board for Merit talks should be implemented.
As we can see , a lot of threads about Merit has been made and I'm sure that there are still lot more threads with "Merit" as Topic will still be created in future as Newbies began to aboard. Threads with this topic also began to spread everywhere in the forum. We can see some merit talks in Bitcoin discussions and here in meta section because newbies don't know where to ask or post such a question about Merits.
I highly recommend that a child board or even a single THREAD with all information about merit system should be created. And in this thread (if not a child board) they are permitted to ask anything about Merit System as long as they didn't asked the question already (to avoid asking questions over and over again).
645  Other / Meta / Re: [Merit] Agree or Disagree? on: March 24, 2018, 01:10:09 AM
Haaayst. Come on you guys, why do you keep posting about Merit System? We all know that Merit System has disadvantages like when trading it, giving it to you friends and sometimes post with quality are not given Merit because no one noticed it. But let's just accept the fact that Merit will remains the same although we created a lot of topic about Merit repeatedly.

You just said
is it is more focused on the people who are poor in posting, spammers, etc.
So it means you fully understand the reason why Merit exist.
But somehow, I agreed in this statement of yours
I've seen many people who are worth merited for but I've never seen them getting any merits.  Sad
Yeah, it is true. I'm sure that There are some posts out there that deserves Merit but sadly, no one can notice their posts because no one seems to be interested or something.
646  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie Problems how to eliminate? on: March 23, 2018, 12:01:53 PM
-Its limitation is, It didn't include accounts that already been created

What if the message is sent to everyone upon implementation of this feature? This way, every account created in near past, not aware about the rules and other things, will get help as well. And, we also know that there are a lot of higher ranked users who do not know all the rules until now. So sending it to all at first will help them too.
That is also what I'm thinking before. But I prioritised Newbie accounts that's why I excluded it. By the way, it is still a good idea to send the message to everyone here in the forum. The only question left is if our Admin and Moderators choose to use the message over the thread for disseminating information through users.

Hmm. I'm really running at my full speed to think of some other ways to improve our Forum.
647  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie Problems how to eliminate? on: March 23, 2018, 11:35:38 AM

I'm mostly talking about the people who get caught doing stuff like copy and pasting and then come out with the excuses "I didn't know it was against the rules" or "other people are doing it etc". Spam or duplicate threads are usually trashed once spotted or reported but they seldom are reported and I'm only one person against literally thousands of spammers so it's a lot of time-consuming and tedious work.
Yeah, they can only complain saying
"I didn't know it was against the rules"
because their reason is they didn't know the rules yet. Lets just see if they still complains if all of the rules were already shown after creating a new account. Farmed account or not they have to follow the rules as it was stated. Newbies who violate rules after creating an account with this proposal idea will leave Staffs with no choice but to permanent banned it.
648  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie Problems how to eliminate? on: March 23, 2018, 11:18:38 AM

I'm already working on this and theymos said he would implement it. Far too many people are signing up and straight away are asking the same questions that have been asked and answered hundreds of times or braking the most basic of rules like spamming ref links and copy and pasting etc. At least there will be no excuses when this does happen.

Wanna bet?  Cool
I believe most of these "Newbies" are account farmers posing "safe posts" they think won't be deleted so they can rack up some easy spam replies. I've reported many of these types threads in the past and not much if anything was done, so they may be right in their assumption.
Hmmm if that's the case, accounts that will be made for farming is a limitation of this idea too.  Huh
Hmm. Maybe we can think of some idea on how to prevent it too. But it will be very difficult.

Yes, I agreed. But what Mr. KWH said is one of this idea's disadvantage.
649  Other / Meta / Newbie Problems how to eliminate? on: March 23, 2018, 10:43:21 AM
Good day/evening everyone. I'm Silent26. I'm just a simple Member of this Forum and always sticks to the rules. I'm here to tell you something. Hmm let me starts with this.

I've noticed that our Forum starts to suffer from Newbies/Newcomers problems as they always ask a certain question repeatedly. Their common questions are "what is bitcoin?", "how to earn bitcoin?" etc. and the recently most asked by too many new members/Newbies is "What is Merit/Merit System and how to get Merit?".

I decided to create this thread to give some idea to our Admin and to our Moderators to Improve our Forum from these kind of "Newbie Problems".
As we can see, asking questions about Merits is now strictly prohibited as it was already asked dozen of times and a member who ask about it will be given a punishment, and it is "banning their account". It is because our Forum's Staffs Declared that anyone who ask questions about merit system will be banned or reported as a spammer. It is also because these Newbies can't even try to search for the answers they were looking for by their own.
But what if these Newbies really don't know how our System works? What if they really don't know what to do first and they didn't even know that posting about merit is prohibited? Do we need to be mad at them or we should help them to enlighten them? Honestly what do you prefer?

I came up to this Idea. When creating a new account. The existing system works as this

Register>>Enter Email, and Password>>Login.

And after logging in, the user will be directed in the home page of the Forum.

I have suggestion/proposal about improving our Forum, it will not change any of the existing process of the system for registering new account. I just want this idea to be added (I'm just suggesting) . Here is my idea.

Like what I said, when a account is successfully created, the user is only directed to the home/main page of the Forum and it's up to them what to do because there is no any guide.

What if? After a successful registration, the user will be directed to a certain thread that contains all information that a newbie must know.
For example is a thread that contains all of the rules of this forum, some basic information about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and information about Merit Systems. I know this is "spoon feeding" because if they really want to gain knowledge they must conduct research by their own. But, if we implemented this idea and still, they didn't follow the rules. The account will be permanently banned.

If you guys didn't want the idea of directing the user to a thread, a message or a bot message will be fine too. Whenever there is a new account created, a bot will automatically sends PM to the new account containing all of the information that newbie must know (just like what I said above).

In the rules, there must be a huge message with BOLD text style saying "IF YOU VIOLATE ANY OF THESE RULES, YOU WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM THIS FORUM" something like that because there is a possibility that the user will be forced to read the entire thread/message to prevent violating any of the rules.

And one more thing (this is optional), I also suggest that, there should be some volunteered members who will guide these newbies. After reading the entire thread or message and clicking button, (lets assume) "I AGREED" button the newbie will be directed to another thread titled "Beginners guide" or something where they can ask questions, but every post made in this thread is not counted as a post. Although a user posted so many questions in this thread, it will not be added as "post" count in their account.

This only requires:
-Collection of information that a Newbies must know.
-The list of our Forum's rules.
-Information about Merit System.
-Some Trusted or Volunteer Members to guide Newbies (optional)
-Time.

Goal
-To somehow eliminate "Newbies problem" .
-To prevent Newbies from creating threads that has been created multiple times.
-To educate Newbies with some basic informations.
-To enlighten Newbies how our system works and what rules to follow.

Scope and Limitations
-This idea is for accounts that will be made in the future.
-Its limitation is, It didn't include accounts that already been created and also farmed accounts.

I've been thinking of this all the time and came up to this idea Smiley
I still need your suggestions about this Idea. This is also just my suggestion hehe. What do you think guys?

To staffs, please delete this thread if I violate any rules. But as far as I know I'm not violating any rules. Thanks.

Leave your suggestions guys Smiley

650  Other / Meta / Re: How do I get merit? on: March 23, 2018, 05:14:52 AM
Looks like this will be a problem to newbies. There are lot of newbies that still didn't know how the Merit System works and keep asking about it which is already prohibited in the forum. . Hmmm I think we should think some ways on how to prevent this Newbie Problems like this. There must be some way to fix this problem because I'm sure that every new Members will also come up in making threads like this.

To OP,
There are lot of threads here which only needs some of your time to take a look. Just try to visit them if you want answers for your questions.
651  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie Account with 10 Posts/Activity and 100 Merit ?! on: March 23, 2018, 03:07:30 AM
Today i see a Posting from this Account https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=258817

Can any one me explain this? Newbie +10 Post +10 Activity and +100 Merit
What is wrong with the System? I can not see this guy merit history and for his 10 Postings he get no Merit reward from other Users
Is the Merit System buggy or have newbie with old register age will have merits, that will be very unfair for the newcomers Newbie/Jr. Member/Member. So this User can rank up very fast with low quality post only with activity to Full Member.
I'm confused! I think this is not this what theymos want...
It seems like this already a full member because there is nothing to show with doubleU received merits.I think his post are being deleted that's why the activity is low.
That's actually what I said above, but it seems like no one reads it. A agreed that maybe that account was already a full member and deleted its shitposts in order to receive more merits because people will avoid that account if its posts are all bounties/shitposts.

Nothing unusual. Check his registration date, seems that all the posts were deleted and that's why the activity went 0 but the merits are there. I guess it's a tradet account and the buyer is covering tracks by deleting old posts of the previous owner.

I don't think this is the case, actually. I don't see a single "received merit" when I check under their history. It seems that it was just a "bug" during the initial distribution of merit. When the system was released there were certain members that had their merit counts incorrect. It's possible that they just received an incorrect amount of merit to begin with. Deleting posts that have been merited does not cover up your tracks, it just keeps the merit stats and replaces it with "Deleted post" +1 or something. Do you have any proof this person has received a single merit?
I don't believe that it was just a bug. There's a possibility that the account has no merit received in history because it is a Full Member before.

But it seems like you got some point too.
If we can just check this account's deleted posts history. Maybe it will enlighten us. But where can we found it? Only Mr. Theymos can tell us the truth behind this account.
652  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie Account with 10 Posts/Activity and 100 Merit ?! on: March 22, 2018, 11:42:12 PM
I think that account is already a Full Member with 100 as a default amount of Merit. Like what Mr. iasenko said, its posts was deleted that's why its activity decreased. The account was made back in 2014 and I'm sure that it reached Full Member rank. It seems like the user deleted all shitposts so that the owner can earn Merits by starting over again with good quality posts. So no need to worry about the Merit system because everything works fine Smiley
653  Other / Meta / Re: Merit [NEW] on: March 22, 2018, 05:09:26 PM
More people unhappy for the merits system, Because many Members stuck their rank because of merits required, but many Members are happy about it for the reason to prevent low post and spamming so they use merits system, but even if you make a quality post you cannot avoid having your post unnoticed because there so many post in the thread, but don't lose hope because someday they will be notice the post we made and we're not the only one like this because many also Members seek to have merits to be able to rank up,that why start now and make your own post.

Op I hate to say it but your posts are poor, this is a shitpost. You really need to want to improve the quality of the forum to rank up. This will mean educating yourself in the English language further, but don't worry it will not be for no results, as at the same time you can read the forum and learn about bitcoin. In the 3-6 months it takes to improve your English skills you will in tandem become a Bitcoin expert (notice I don't include Altcoins or ICO's there) when you come back to posting if you take my advise you will gain merits at a rate similar to the current activity ranks - so you may be 6 months behind but you will not be limited by merits.

If you don't understand the concept then my post is wasted on you and the merit system was integrated to purge posters like you, if you do get it then great I have indirectly assisted one shitposter in converting to a quality posting member of the community.

I agreed, OP's posts is more similar to this guy https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1116027 with a topic here in meta section with "only 5 merit to member!!!"  title which mostly contributes in bounties and some posts with one and two liner posts like to the OP.
To OP, yes it is sad that merit existed because it is now more difficult to rank up, but it is worth it. Making constructive posts (with English language) WILL NOT ONLY benefit this forum but also will benefit ourselves. Just try to understand.

And also, please be aware of this
I think that anyone who creates a new thread about merits at this stage can be considered to be a spammer.
654  Other / Meta / Re: Only 5 merit to Member !!! on: March 22, 2018, 04:53:38 PM
I think the main reason why you can't receive another 5 merits is because your posts are all bounties and some of your posts are one liner posts which is not deserving to receive Merits. Why don't you try to check your posts buddy. If you can make your posts much better then you will have a chance to receive Merit. And what happened to your precious account? It seems like your only Jr. Member but you already have a negative trust. Looks like you didn't take care of it isn't it? Sad

By reading some of the threads on a forum you might have heard of - It's called Bitcoin Talk.
It's called Bitcoin Talk.
You have to be mistaken.
The domain name is bitcointalk.org.
The forum's name is "Bitcoin Forum", or so it says in the title (up left). Tongue
It's so funny seeing two cute cats quarrelling  Tongue
655  Other / Meta / Re: Full Member thanks to the Merit system. on: March 22, 2018, 04:35:55 PM
First of all, congratulations bro. Looks like you were given what you really deserved. There's no doubt that you're a good poster. I checked your posts and I'm amazed by your posts (very informative posts) and makes me feel so sad and jealous. I don't have working brains like yours to make posts with such a very informative posts. That's why I felt jealous, if you will look in my posts all you can see is trash compared to yours. I'm already a Full Member but I believed that my posts activities are the reason why I ranked up. If merit system has been implemented long time ago. I will never made it to Full Member. I know I can, but it will take a long time before it happens.

But, although my posts are not good as yours. I never spam (did I?). Because whenever I create a post. I always assure that I'm not breaking any rules. Hehe sorry, My emotions brought me here. By the way, all I'm trying to say is Congratulations and I really admired you. Keep up the good work bro. I'm pretty sure that you will reach Senior Member rank and up in time. Smiley
656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GOOD NEWS to Earn Money on: March 22, 2018, 03:50:19 PM
Hey guys I'm Zed.
Im here to give out some good news.
Have u guys heard about the hacking event in Japan?
A huge trading center in Japan was hacked in japan leading 550million$ worth coins being traded as 0$.
This caused ppl to sell their coins bc they r scared. This resulted the coin prices to drop rapidly for few days.
Good News is that now is the time for us to get in.
The prices started to rise already.
according to a very reliable source, most coin prices will go up for few weeks AT LEAST 10% maybe alot more.
Buy now BTC or BTH or ethereum etc.. I will check up with u guys again soon.

Hmmm. Where did you get that news? , can you provide the links where you found it? Because there something fishy in that news of yours, I've never seen this kind of news anywhere. Maybe there are some people behind it and only invented that news so that people will be expected to believe it. Well if ever that its true, I got nothing to say but, Its a good news.

I do not think that such a developed country in technologies like Japan can even try to crack at least one even an advanced hacker, it is unrealistic.
Yeah, that's what I'm also thinking, this news might be true or a big FALSE. I'm wondering maybe this news is a fictitious one and not real.
657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do We Need Social Media Promotion on: March 22, 2018, 03:36:58 PM
As we can see, nowadays there are billions of people using social medias like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others. That's why promotions of Bitcoin was made to promote Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies (also tokens) in social medias. Promoting in these social medias has a high possibility that the certain promotion make it to reach its goal. People are the one and only that can support any kind of promotion and people are also the main target why promotions are made. Of course, as we can noticed, advertisements are always can be seen in places where more people are living and it is the same as advertising in a social media with a lot of users. It's one good tactic to promote a project.
658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Advertising on: March 22, 2018, 04:27:50 AM
Advertising Bitcoin through television is not a good idea. You know why? Because there are some countries that didn't acknowledge Bitcoin and also banned it for purpose (like illegal activities and transactions) and I think it will make some impact to their Government if ever that they saw Bitcoin in their television.

Further questions

Does countries who banned bitcoin can see it in their television?
Ofcourse, Advertising in television are world wide and most of advertisements are in international tv channels which can be seen in any country.

So Bitcoin has no chance to be advertise?
In my opinion, Bitcoin can be advertise. But this will not be a good idea (like what I said). Except if it is advertised to tv channels of chosen countries who adopt bitcoins.

Tokens and other altcoins has a potential to be advertised in televisions worldwide in the as it was made by companies. Bitcoin is a little complicated.
659  Economy / Services / Re: Receive up to 0.01 BTC for your review of a new bitcoin mixer BESTMIXER.IO on: March 21, 2018, 12:25:49 AM
I really don't know how this mixer thing works, and I didn't try to mix because I only have 0.01 Btc in my wallet and I'm really saving it. I know the fee will be refunded but, the main reason I didn't try it is because I really don't know how it works. But as a webpage developer (student). I reviewed the webpage and came up to this idea.

I have suggestion to this part

It seems like it is part of the webpage' s body and doesn't look too good (based in my own likings) . I think you should make a footer for this contents. I can imagine that it will look much better.

The webpage is mobile friendly and I like it. I will add more information if I noticed something again. And OP, I'm not going to ask for reward as I didn't follow the rules. I didn't mix any coin. Have a good day Smiley
