641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google and Alibaba join the blockchain party on: March 28, 2018, 05:59:04 AM
"Google is planning to create its own blockchain and offer cloud and transactional services through it."

Source - https://www.ccn.com/google-will-create-its-own-blockchain-in-the-future/

Regardless if you like google or not, I think this is amazing news. Blockchain is truly the future and I can't wait to see its future adaptations and uses.

But I think this will certainly kill a lot of platforms and coins. Thoughts?

so let me get this straight. Last week someone mentioned that google is banning cryptocurrency related advertisement and now they're interested in blockchain?  Huh
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Realistic predictions for 2018 on: March 28, 2018, 05:56:31 AM
Right now people are in panic mode, Most of them don't see the big picture and are just here for the quick buck.

The total amount of fiat money in the world is over 80 trillion- This is a conservative estimate and it much higher.  The crypto market will grow very rapidly over the next 2 years.  At the end of 2018 it should be minimum 1 trillion total.  At the end of 2019 it will be over 5 trillion.

My mathematical formulas tells me bitcoin will be somewhere between 46,653-57,259 at the end of this year.

Don't fall for the stupid government fud.  Governments can't ban crypto and they don't want to.  Any country stupid enough to ban cryptocurrency would lose out on a massive amount of money.  People wil just spend their money in countries that allow it.

In the far future (in crypto tearms, like 3+ years) , fiat money will rapidly start to lose value and the us dollar will have significantly crashed by then.

Correct. As mentioned so many times people shouldn't believe in every fud that comes on news. There is going to be regulation as government need to make money from crypto as well but they already know that it's going to explode anytime and they are trying to keep it low for as long as possible. Once they can't do it anymore it will rise.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I earned $ 3500 from the 1 airdrop on: March 28, 2018, 05:54:27 AM
I participated in the first airdrop IOP (internet of people) and with 500 token iop I received 2200 hydra .. that I sold in the exchange on the discord and from which I got 450 IOP .... with a gain of over 90% doing nothing. Tonight, the second airdrop closes the second airdrop and tomorrow another part

You just got lucky. Usually airdrops are complete waste of time, our only real resource in our possession.

99% of airdrops are made with the intention their 'devs' to make quick money.

Precisely, I have signed up for few airdrops just to see where it lands but sadly they are worth less than pennies and some of them never hit exhange.
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to trade when the dip keeps dipping? on: March 23, 2018, 12:07:27 PM
Not sure about anyone else, but I buy in the dip and then it dips further!  Is it best to just stay out and accept that it's all too difficult at this time?

Market is not doing so great so it would be difficult to make money but you can buy and hold, wait few more months and you'll do just fine.
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most crypto millionaires forgot that they had crypto! on: March 23, 2018, 12:04:26 PM
This is my council to you, invest some amount which you can afford to loose completely and then just forget that you have crypto, don't care much about the current prices. Be a F* HODLER.
Most crypto millionaires were holders and they didn't even know that.
Don't try everyday to understand the market and neither try to take profit from every bounce - you'll probably give it back to the market another day.
I will leave some quotes from Jesse Livermore which I assume are great for this topic:

“After spending many years in Wall Street and after making and losing millions of dollars I want to tell you this:  It never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It always was my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight!”

“Remember this: When you are doing nothing, those speculators who feel they must trade day in and day out, are laying the foundation for your next venture. You will reap benefits from their mistakes.

can't disagree with that but I would suggest that you do keep in touch with crypto and see how your investment is doing. Even if you don't want to do short-term trade, you should still keep track of your investment as anything can happen to it.
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What alternative coin has a potential to follow the footprint of bitcoin does? on: March 22, 2018, 01:25:37 PM
it's difficult to imagine that bitcoin would go out of existence. I think that's just speculation but there are lot of coins who show potential in the future. IOTA, Cardano just to name few.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is taking a direct beating from twitter, FB, google. Might fall to $400 on: March 22, 2018, 01:22:19 PM
Ethereum is taking a huge beating, and we've all seen that. It started out at 1.1k earlier this month, but today it fell to nearly $490.

People might argue that ethereum is falling because of BTC, and that's generally true. When BTC falls, it usually takes with it other alts, like eth. But there are certain times when eth skyrocketed while BTC fell – like when BTC was congested and people flocked to eth for their transactions.

But now that bitcoin's transaction fees and speed aren't issues, there's no reason for anyone to flock to eth while btc is falling. So eth falls to the mercy of BTC's drop in price.

But Google's new Ad regulations are directly affecting eth more than any other crypto. Why? Because most scam ICOs are ERC20 tokens. Now that the scammers can't hype up their tokens through Google, they might be dropping their plans. And remember that people have been outward about 90 percent of ICOs being scams. And when there's less ICOs, there's less ICO investors.

Plus, the SEC has launched new regulations and investigations into ICOs, which are also predominantly ERC20 tokens. People are being scared away.

And to add to the FUD, even Twitter is banning ICOs and even crypto wallets. Ethereum wallets are actually more in demand than bitcoin wallets because they encompass a wider variety of crypto due to all the different ERC20 tokens that are on the eth blockchain.

So you have FB, twitter, and google – the three whales of social media all banning predominantly ERC20 token ads. Thus, there's a significant amount of people flocking from eth because the money is leaving.

I believe when twitter comes out officially with the ad ban announcement, we'll see a further drop in eth to about the middle of $400. I think this is a good bottom for Eth. I don't see Eth falling below $350, and if it does, then that's a huge steal.

Eth is still a leading cryptocurrency with its versatile and innovative features. It still attracts legitimate startups to its blockchain given the ease of creating an ERC20 token. And there are far too many legitimate companies built on the eth blockchain.

Eth should honestly be near BTC's price a lot more than Bitcoin Cash. So I feel as though Eth is at least 20x undervalued, but you won't see that value until all this regulation FUD clears.

Once everything has stabilized we should see a clear growth in Eth's price.

I also heard somewhere that EOS team was dumping ETH and then there was other fud that may have caused panic in investors. It's a good time to buy but not so great time to sell. I think it should recover fine once fud settles down but I'm not sure if it'll reach $1000 anytime soon.
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 50'000 USD to invest NOW on: March 22, 2018, 01:20:17 PM
that's lot of money and I wouldn't go all in one crypto. In my opinion you should spread it out and invest some in cardano, iota, powr, eth and spend some in bitcoin and then use rest to buy ICO as they can make you huge profit in short term.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Google Will Remove Crypto-related Ads Starting June 2018 on: March 21, 2018, 12:51:10 PM
That is just good news, google just do not want people to advertise fraud.

Cheesy Many of us have been lead to fraud websites through google. I don't think they really care about customers getting screwed. It's more of a regulation issue and other things of that nature. ahem
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The longer the bounty, the fewer the earnings? on: March 21, 2018, 12:46:15 PM
My friend just told me recently that he is leaving the bounty that we both joined last January. The ICO has been delayed many times and it is getting longer. He said that the longer the bounty period of an ICO, the fewer the coins that you will earn. So it is true based from your experience? Should I also leave or stay?

that completely depends on how many people have signed up for the bounty campaign. I have gotten paid big chunk from longer bounty programs than shorter ones. There are so many other things you have to consider which can effect your earning. It looks like he signed up for the wrong ICO and he just has to switch as they can delay it again.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russian crypto businessman, intends to sue Google $2 billion on: March 21, 2018, 12:43:20 PM
I think he can sue anyone he wants but that doesn't mean he'll get what he wants. Although I am not happy with Google trying to ban cryptocurrency but there is very little you can do. May be it's time that some other search engine take them over but they've gotten too big.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trump’s Executive Order Banning ‘Petro’ on: March 20, 2018, 01:42:37 PM
The token is shit token,so I don't think anyone will invest in it.
Because this token exists to break the American restrictions on the country, it is normal for the United States to ban people from buying this token.

exactly this. It's more of a political issue as they've been trying to undercut US and as I can see Trump has banned US purchase of Petro. It won't and should not affect other altcoins.
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mining is banned due to its great demand for electricity on: March 20, 2018, 01:38:22 PM
that's due to big corporations setting up big infrastructure to mine bitcoins and other cryptocurrency. Once you get them out of the picture this won't be an issue. However, there will be more alternative green energy in the future so that should take care of this.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Banning of crypto ads on a few social media on: March 15, 2018, 07:14:15 AM
Share your views on why some social media want to ban advertisement on crypto related stuffs and what will happened if one day twitter also stop crypto advertisement as it is one of the most shared platform for crypto now.

I think they're being pressured by the new government regulation and have to protect their interest. It is a good news in the long term as crypto related search engine/social media will gain momentum and people will start using them instead. Crypto is here to end the monopoly.
655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese girls tattoo barcode bitcoin in her body on: March 08, 2018, 01:42:27 PM

thats one way to make money  Grin. I can't imagine people investing bitcoin paying her with bitcoin.
656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: KFC now accepts Bitcoin! on: March 08, 2018, 01:38:44 PM
Check out my YouTube video where I dive more in depth : BREAKING NEWS KFC is now accepting Bitcoin, and Smart contracts might be legally binding!

Is this just a bucket of chicken, or a bucket of publicity stunts?

You will be able to buy a bucket of chicken in Select Canada KFC's. However you will have to order it online using Bitpay, and have it shipped to you.

Cost : Around $20 + $5 shipping + Taxes + Any other blockchain fees

What do you guys think about it?

do you have any official statement from kfc regarding this? I see this as a good news for bitcoin. I personally don't use bitcoin to buy food myself and not a big fan of kfc ever since they handed me raw chicken that was barely cooked.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 1-2 years of Bear Market from now? (or much less?) on: March 08, 2018, 01:23:57 PM
So, based on discussions with many friends, I came to the conclusion that it was not the wrong choices in altcoins, but also biggest coins suffer on this - long - or temporary BEAR MAKRET.

Every passing day, MOST of altcoins depreciate in value.

I'm afraid we're stuck in a LONG TIME bearish market.

I do not want to start any kind of FUG with this topic. I just a topic of debate for everyone's opinions.

Now comes the following question: How long will be needed to stabilize the ENTIRE market ?

If you bought them early you should still be in profit. Hell..even bitcoin is still 10x its value than it was two years ago. If you came late then you'll have to wait longer to get any substantial profit you can brag about. As far as most altcoins go, they have been in up and down position for a long time but if you look at good ones like eth, etc, ltc. you should still be in profit even after market hit low.
658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are we repeating the 2014 BTC crash??? on: March 08, 2018, 01:18:09 PM
Watch and see how BTC is currently following the exact same trend (behavior) of the 2014 BTC crash.  The chart similarity is eerie.  Shocked

https://s3.amazonaws.com/tradingview-vid/w/wztZTcBbXCPJ1Xy1.mp4

I hope and pray we break away from it though.

Given that sec is trying to regulate exchange and there is vast amount of interest in bitcoin, we are in much better position than we were in 2014. Chart may look similar but you have to look at other things too which are much more important.
659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OMG! Im finally going to be rich from this ONE coin! on: March 07, 2018, 12:42:04 PM
The timeline seems pretty boasty. A mobile app used for transferring crypto by person to person is common and isn't a new technology.
The only thing that could get this successful is if they can really manage to be partnered with many telcom worldwide. They are targeting atleast 10 telcom for half a year? With all the talks and discussion that's a dream.

Yeah. I didn't hear of this one until I saw this thread and it looks like it's not doing too well. I hope op cashed it out when he had time.
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What cryptos under 2 cent have potentials in the next 12-18 months??? on: March 07, 2018, 12:32:53 PM
When looking at any crypto you shouldn't focus on its price but rather development and its team. You can look at sia as people have already suggested but there are similar techs so I am not sure how it would do in the long run, but, it'll still give you profit.
