Whoa, WTF....over 329,000 network hash kicked in just after 1:00 am EST.
Seriously?

The exchange you're on is so important to a coin, sure features matter.....
but the coin has to be where those features are exposed to the people that trade and invest
While you develop even more use and features.

New logo here....do as dev says or clear your cache.

That's why I mine 4 TH of BtC  on two different cloud services.
The scrypt coins are fun when you discover a gem like Verge and load the boat.... helps make up for the boats that sink.  Grin

Sounds like you provide a good service along with a miner.
It is a jungle out here in Crypto-World...I'm a member of a BitCoin group and I've met more than one
that was ready to wire their house for 240 v and 100 amps and put a farm in to get really rich.  Roll Eyes

This has pretty much been my approach for some time. Panic mining is no different than panic buying. I mine the coins that no one is paying attention to but I believe in. This is why I've mined the crap out of VERGE.

I've mined alot as well but bought waaaaaay more. I'd like to borrow the crystal ball neo1947 has.......600~750 sat would really help me in that future.

We have a very similar approach, although I'm intrigued by the miner buy/resell.....any certain brands or models? Or just whatever you can buy and resell and make a little.

Always considered myself as a Miner/Trader/Investor, I've managed to sell off a few miners as I grew my small farm....
first Asics back in 2014 were Blizzards.....still have them with some X6's and an A2. Their hashing away right next to the big boys. (which aren't so big any more.) LOL

[Thank you for reply.
How to know which coin is profitable to mine ?

Now THERE"S the $64 question!
Everyone who mines has developed their own philosophy.
Some mine a coin for profit NOW, others mine a coin for it's future.....
ie get in on a promising new coin early when network hash and difficulty are low.
(I've been burned by a few of those though, but who hasn't)

Then, there is do you mine a coin as part of a large pool with alot of a coins network hash where you may get a little bit of a lot of blocks found.
Or, mine a smaller pool where when the pool does find a block....you get bigger shares.

There's also to consider what per cent a pool draws for a fee.

I really like P2p pools.....sort of best of both worlds.

I just checked and there's  quite a few 1300 kH and below miners on suprnova's XVG pool.
For a fairly large regular pool it has a low fee of 1% and enough hash volume to give some results.
and who knows if Verge goes way up from its current value as some expect, you could make some profit.

One final note....a coin across several exchanges  can have different values on each...or similar.

To see this check out www.alt19.com .....a great resource.....especially if you go to the

sortable table ( just click on a column's header to sort high or low)
that's shown in red of "market cap, price, volume, winners, losers"

Shows you a view of a coin over a day, week, month or up to a year at a glance.
(don't ask me why it shows XVG currently at 39 sats, it pays to double check numbers as things get lost in the api jungle and they have a disclaimer to that effect)

oh and .....your mileage may vary, Good luck!

Can you mine Verge using 1.3MHS Gawminers fury ?
If so how to do it ?

Not much out there for so little hash these days.....verge hit over 6000 difficulty today and is still 375 as we speak.
Probably try Digibyte with just one fury/blizzard .... scrypt mining with less than at least 50~100 MH is pretty futile.

And even then best hookup with www.smarterhash.com to help you decide where to send it or get very good at reading the what to mine sites. Blocks don't come in steady streams ....they are pretty variable and you can spend time mining thin air so to speak.
By the time you figure out where to have your hash to produce anything....the opportunity is gone.

it's really about luck and being at the right place at the right time. When a coin lets go with a block storm ......its fun to be there.

Anyway, you can make more trading than mining  if you learn some skills.

I enjoy both.....even though I've been burned some ....I've made some too, so net net....I'm doing ok.

......I really wasn't expecting anything that soon. Didn't they only just ask for more info?

Dev said he remember when they asked but it was ....in his time zone......like a day and a half ago .
And that was like midday when I read it.

You're right though......just a lot of excitement and anticipation. If it ever does list....the top will probably blow.lol.
Patience...I have....also optimism after the signs I've seen in this coin and how the dev handles himself.

I did manage to gather some cheap coin and increased my overall holdings. Mined my butt off.
Trading though was tough..especially on Trex...doubled my btc on yobit of all places.....now if yobit just had some volume ....less than half a bitcoin for a 24 hr volume is a joke.

The verge i had there was bought with some mining dust(when it was still doged) and traded it up to a whopping .14 BtC after some trading the last two days.....so there's that.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [VERGE][XVG] VERGE [POW][Scrypt][privacy focused - full TOR/i2P resources] on: February 23, 2016, 02:45:32 AM
FWIW....either doged.suprnova.cc:4158 or xvg.suprnova.cc:4158 works in the address.
I've used both today and currently using doged.
As least as far as  suprnova is concerned.

And thank goodness net hash is way down now....shot up from around 31,000 mh to 104,000 a little before 12 pm est and stayed over 90,000 until around 5 pm., dropped on down to 6,000 mH then rocketed back to 95,000 for about 20 minutes about 8 pm est....then back to current 18,000 or so.
Crazy.  Roll Eyes

I believe it was in anticipation on a polo announcement that, when it didn't happen......the net hash came back down to earth. Rental rigs were probably making money today.

I signed up on polo last week, just sent some BtC to have some there.
Looked at the coins listed....Wow!
There's a slew of what I consider garbage/dead coins that are less than 3 BtC or so Volume a day.
They're def asleep at the wheel. Huh

....If anyone still wants to be added just PM me.

PM sent....Thanks for this!
I'll be away from the computer a while today.

Don't forget the work being done to bring China on board.....that's pretty big as well.  Smiley

They finally did  answer  the ticket but at first told me it was my pool's fault. Nope sorry.v Huh

My original ticket said I rented two miners about the same time and one was happily mining on the same pool.....which was one of Suprnova's pools....they list Suprnova as "Approved".
Had to point that out again and asked that they read a ticket completely before rejecting as the user's "fault."  Roll Eyes
After 3 years of running GPU cards,Blizzards, Thunder X6s, Lightning X6s, Antminers and Terminators.... I certainly know how to setup a miner.

I received a 95% refund within minutes. Should have been 100% since never really received any benefit of hash and spent 3+ hours trying to communicate with rig owner and try to resolve the problem.

All in all though I'm ok with them, learned to only rent US rigs with 95%+ rating and don't rent "new" rigs.
I needed more hash than the 200mh I own and went back and rented over 500 MH from them....no problems at all so far.

And yes....Kano has a great pool, before I moved to MiningSweden and HashNest that's where I put my C1s, loved those miners but my power here is..... "Just Too Damn High!!"

Johnny.....you had me just about to open the polo link.... Smiley
657  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] MiningRigRentals.com - Web pool manager - Easy Mass Rentals - Algos! on: February 21, 2016, 06:04:23 PM
Wish I had checked this thread out before I tried them out.
One rig for three hour rental is doing fine, the other rented for twenty four connected then went to zero hash after 15 minutes and two different pools. Mining on both with my own rigs so I know the pools are fine.

Owner said he'll try to reboot, so far no joy.

And MRR hasn't canceled or refunded either.

-from OP - "Automatic rental cancellations if you rent a rig that is offline for at least 20 minutes of the first 30 minutes of the rental. Rent with confidence!"

.......in the situation of cryptsy, we never had an explanation while things were messed up though...   Angry

When I found out there was a divorce action that had started in October (I think it was) and saw the link to the court filings in Palm Beach county court......I knew it would not have a good ending. I managed to convert coins that were not withdrawing to ones that would (although at some loss) but felt lucky to get them.

Still wondering where all the deposits still there have gone.it would take a while to follow the transactions and where they've gone.

Again, Thank You for that update and explanation, although I use C-Cex very little.
The tendency these days is to not trust some of these exchanges.
Big and small exchanges have had some problems and caused losses....big ones with some people.

2014 was a long time ago in crypto-years.
