Can you mine Verge using 1.3MHS Gawminers fury ?
If so how to do it ?

Sure you can but once again, I'd strongly recommend the 5 chip gridseeds.

Thank you for reply.
How to know which coin is profitable to mine ?

It is best to leave that to the multipools.

Stats are not always accurate by there are website for that like:

Whattomine
Coinwarz
- etc

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

It's already setup and ALL eligible donations are Tax DEDUCTIBLE under IRC 170.

That's nice. it's important to have a VERGE account to then transfer to this very honorable cause so as being something done by the entire community (if the community agree on it).

[Thank you for reply.
How to know which coin is profitable to mine ?

Now THERE"S the $64 question!
Everyone who mines has developed their own philosophy.
Some mine a coin for profit NOW, others mine a coin for it's future.....
ie get in on a promising new coin early when network hash and difficulty are low.
(I've been burned by a few of those though, but who hasn't)

Then, there is do you mine a coin as part of a large pool with alot of a coins network hash where you may get a little bit of a lot of blocks found.
Or, mine a smaller pool where when the pool does find a block....you get bigger shares.

There's also to consider what per cent a pool draws for a fee.

I really like P2p pools.....sort of best of both worlds.

I just checked and there's  quite a few 1300 kH and below miners on suprnova's XVG pool.
For a fairly large regular pool it has a low fee of 1% and enough hash volume to give some results.
and who knows if Verge goes way up from its current value as some expect, you could make some profit.

One final note....a coin across several exchanges  can have different values on each...or similar.

To see this check out www.alt19.com .....a great resource.....especially if you go to the

sortable table ( just click on a column's header to sort high or low)
that's shown in red of "market cap, price, volume, winners, losers"

Shows you a view of a coin over a day, week, month or up to a year at a glance.
(don't ask me why it shows XVG currently at 39 sats, it pays to double check numbers as things get lost in the api jungle and they have a disclaimer to that effect)

oh and .....your mileage may vary, Good luck!

ExchangeD.I2P has switched over, happy trading

http://exchanged.i2p/en/trade/btc_xvg_360

What is that like some sort of dark net exchange?  I tried to access it from my browser but it wouldn't work I saw some steps on how to access the site..  Do alot of people use this exchange?

Its for true anonymity, access it, purchase Verge deposit it in your I2P Verge wallet and there you have it - anonymously purchased verge Wink

no tracing ... did I blow your mind? Wink

^^^ this. this is how real anonymity works in crypto. mixing and "stealth" transactions won't keep fingerprints off of the network. using alternative internet does.

just updated the main website with i2p and tor web wallet info in wallet section and updated the i2p nodes.. and the i2p instructions page on our website.

next up: tor and i2p based electrum servers and clients, coming right up!

Very important to remind everyone VERGE is untraceable the one and only private currency.  Cool

This has pretty much been my approach for some time. Panic mining is no different than panic buying. I mine the coins that no one is paying attention to but I believe in. This is why I've mined the crap out of VERGE.

Still, since it's launch, what I've mined in VERGE is a small percentage compared to what I've bought, so really I look at as supporting the network. My hash power typically goes up and down because I like to buy cheap miners, test them and resell them for profit. I usually have anywhere from 1000 - 4000 Kh/s to play with so all I can really do is support a network and that's what I've done. Every bit of what VERGE I mine goes into a cold wallet because I have no intention of doing anything with it anytime soon.

I've mined alot as well but bought waaaaaay more. I'd like to borrow the crystal ball neo1947 has.......600~750 sat would really help me in that future.

We have a very similar approach, although I'm intrigued by the miner buy/resell.....any certain brands or models? Or just whatever you can buy and resell and make a little.

Always considered myself as a Miner/Trader/Investor, I've managed to sell off a few miners as I grew my small farm....
first Asics back in 2014 were Blizzards.....still have them with some X6's and an A2. Their hashing away right next to the big boys. (which aren't so big any more.) LOL

I've pretty much owned and mined with every small to mid size scrypt miner in existence. I always buy them cheap cheap cheap, test them and resell them.

Basically, I help new miners get set up. I advice them and make sure they understand EXACTLY what they are getting into and adjust their expectations back to reality. Every day new people are coming in to this all excited thinking they are going to get rich mining. I encourage them to get involved but I explain to them what's really going to happen.

Then I set them up with a miner, provide support and a batch file if they need it. Preferably I just sell them a miner for 2X what I paid for it but if they need help I help. A lot of people like me to mod their Gridseeds first even after I show them that you are better off running two non-modded than one modded but they just love seeing that 50% bonus hash. If that's what they want, I mod it, find the best frequency and sell them that. Plus I charge extra for changing one resistor so I'm happy to do it. Smiley

Sounds like you provide a good service along with a miner.
It is a jungle out here in Crypto-World...I'm a member of a BitCoin group and I've met more than one
that was ready to wire their house for 240 v and 100 amps and put a farm in to get really rich.  Roll Eyes

LOL, yeah bad idea. Unless you live in North Alaska and even then I'm not sure you can make it work.

At the height of gpu mining I was pumping in cold air from outside, through my rigs and back out. Once, i was gone all day and the duct that exhausted the hot air outside came lose, the room was over 90 degrees and it was below freezing out. In the summer, I didn't even bother running. I'm glad those days are over. It was entertaining and interesting but stressful.

I have the equipment to build a small 100 Watt solar system. I'd like to do that and run a few gridseeds with a raspberry pi. Again, this would mostly be just for fun because I just like to do stuff. To make money,  you have to buy cheap coins, not mine.

That's why I mine 4 TH of BtC  on two different cloud services.
The scrypt coins are fun when you discover a gem like Verge and load the boat.... helps make up for the boats that sink.  Grin

Logo seems ok, but they haven't updated yet the links for "website" and "discussion".
I've submitted a request earlier today, but it won't hurt if someone else sends a request too.
