641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LEASERIG.NET - news: add your rig with just few clicks! on: March 03, 2014, 09:17:59 PM
I'd echo the request to be able to pause rentals when the current one expires, I have some changes I'd like to make on one of my rigs but my current hirer keeps re-hiring before I get chance. I appreciate I could put a large price on it but am worried that he might not realise why I've done it and don't want to lose his custom in the future.

Quoting myself as I think I found an accidental fix Smiley

Simply remove all your renting plans, and it vanishes from the list (be sure to set the option to rehire to 0)

I am not a linux guru, but isn't there a way to know detailed why something crashed? If you could have provided me these logs, I may forward you somewhere...

I know nothing about linux either, the only 2 logs I know are the ones in the GUI which are below

The system log is filled with these nothing else
Code:
Mon Mar  3 20:33:01 2014 cron.info crond[575]: crond: USER root pid 28346 cmd /usr/bin/cgminer-monitor
Mon Mar  3 20:36:01 2014 cron.info crond[575]: crond: USER root pid 28363 cmd /usr/bin/cgminer-monitor
Mon Mar  3 20:39:01 2014 cron.info crond[575]: crond: USER root pid 28403 cmd /usr/bin/cgminer-monitor

The kernel log has a bit more in it

Is there an error log you could print out to figure out what caused it?

There is a system log and a kernel log, but neither have any clues I'm afraid
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] How to rent your rig on LEASERIG.NET - Scrypt & SHA256 on: March 03, 2014, 07:36:45 PM
I'm currently having issues with all of my Antminers and am at a loss what the problem could be.

They had all been up without any issues for months, but going through the leaserig proxy at random intervals I get the 'rig disconnected' message and if I check in the miners web page it shows that cgminer isn't running. After some time the cron jobs fires it back up and it resumes mining.

This problem doesn't occur with my KNC equipment nor with my scrypt farm which are all running flawlessly.

Does anybody have an idea what's happening ?

What is the version of cgminer on antminers?

I know for a fact that cgminer version 3.7.2 and prior have bug related to stratum mining, which causes cgminer to crash - it doesn't happen often, but here and there.

They are running 3.8.5

I sent emails out to all the current renters of my Antminers, but just in case they don't get it and check in here.

Quote
I’m sorry to report that there seems to be some problem between the Antminers and the Leaserig Proxy as it keeps disconnecting at random for no apparent reason, all my other equipment is working OK so it must be specific to the Antminers.

I thought I had traced the problem to an issue with pools but that no longer appears to be the case.

I will point some of my other equipment at your pools on rotation to try and keep the average up to what you paid for, if it’s still not enough I will of course add extra time or issue a refund.

UPDATE:

The problem has now been fixed and the Antminers are running smoothly

All renters were provided with extra hashpower to bring the average back up what it should be

Hi, I can ship to you if you want? Im happy to escrow as well if that would make you feel more secure.

Also if you want any further pictures I can provide them. I currently have 7 ants running at the moment Wink

I knew you had a few, that's why I asked how many Smiley

Let me think on it for a bit

Hi, I might be whiling to sell two of them. How would you be paying? Cash or Bitcoins?

I can provide any proof you want.

I was prepared to pay a bit over retail if you had a few as they now ship them with full declared value which bumps the cost, but to be honest it's not worth the 10 hour round trip for me just for 2 especially given they just dropped the price on the bitmain site to 1.18 as even with the import duties makes more sense for me to buy new, sorry and good luck with the sale..

I see from your previous posts that you have several antminers

If you'd be willing to sell more of them in one go I'd be interested at close to your price and could collect tonight.

Please note having driven for 6 hours on a bogus trip previously I would need some evidence prior to leaving.

As I have multiple rigs being hired out, it would be very handy if the main admin page showed say the last 10-20 rentals at the bottom to save looking them all up individually

If you don't want anyone to hire your rig, just modify prices of renting plans by high factor.

Prices are already at the point where it's more profitable to mine for yourself instead of renting out...
My rigs are "Down for maintenance" until prices start to make economic sense again.

But the beauty of the site is you can leave your rig(s) up at the prices you want and it will mine your normal pool until such time as someone hires it.
