661  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cryptocurrency News Website on: April 07, 2017, 03:03:37 PM
Hey I checked out your website and this is what first came to my mind too.

nice but why you did not use a short domain name without number?

Though your site looks dull with the plain white background it makes my eyes irritated. Maybe you need to change it to colorful and attracting one. Next is the image at the center of each page, I guess it's not a good welcoming message and it's centered maybe you can try to move that at the left top. My suggestion why not try to hire or get a volunteer web designer to make your site more attractive? Try to focus first with the design, next is content then after that, money will generate to you automatically.

Hi, I am talking with a graphic designer now about helping me fix up my website. Then I will start to add content and then hopefully some money will come in to help further develop the website.

Oh I see, I'm seeing a lot of good graphic designer at the services section. Have you try to contact them? They can help you out with your website unless you are willing to pay for their work. And I just want to know don't you have plans on removing the number "1" on your site? Do you have any history about that number?

Okay I will check out the graphic designers in the service section. Also I picked that name because it looked good to me and plus just the "cryptocurrencynews.com" seems to be taken but it redirects to another type of website. So I don't believe I will be able to take put the number 1.
Hi tobeyrowe.
Well first of all, I think you should just put your site offline for some time, to work on the graphic design and not only about design.
If you make "cryptocurrencynews" site, then you should have some entries in "news".
For now, it looks like a site without any specified use.
Im interested why you wrote anything in "Service" tab, but nothing in "news" tab. I thought your website is about new things going on in crypto world, am I right?
No offense sir, but I think you should change the domain name. This number in the middle of URL does not look's good, im afraid you will have a hard task to attract crypto users to your site: we already have hunders of well-developed crypto-news sites.
662  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Game Testers needed for my ORIGINAL Bitcoin/Ethereum MMORPG (Game) on: April 07, 2017, 02:56:59 PM
It actually looks like an interesting idea!
Im just registering, wonder how it looks like Cheesy
I would like to ask anyway, what is the game source of income? I suppose that we can gain bitcoin/eth for playing the game, and Im wondering if it is more like a faucet site ( site earning from adverts, and this is how it is able to pay users ) or you are planning to add more options ( for example, lottery )

Just asking few questions, I have been thinking about most of "bitcoin games" as a faucet sites, or total scams, I have found out many "investor-based games" and interesting projects usually turn out as a ponzi.

Anyway, your site looks fine, I will play a little bit to test it.
Maybe we will have one more great faucet source? For all those, who cannot afford now to buy bitcoins Smiley

663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Features Are Still True? on: April 07, 2017, 11:57:44 AM
all of bitcoin features are still true and none of them have changed.
- it is still decentralized
- secure
- cheap
- not anonymous but keeps your privacy to some extent.
- and you can still use it for payment even more so than before since there are much more places that accept bitcoin.
I agree with you, bitcoin didnt lose any of its features through years, the only really significant change is raise of transaction fees, which went up a lot: but bitcoin is not a tool for sending 1-2$ but more.

I think we might call bitcoin an anonymous currency, the reason of this is that we dont have any kind of colleration between the wallet address and the user identity.
You can track bitcoins, but if you stay cautious and do everything alright, nobody will get your sensitive data, such as name, surname, place of birth, address, etc.
664  Economy / Speculation / Re: The 'called it' boasting thread. on: April 06, 2017, 08:46:28 PM
DOGE...
Everyone thought it was a joke but it did pretty well in its prime. Considering that the coin is based off of a meme I still think it's doing pretty well.
I managed to mine a few million in its early days. Managed to make me a nice small amount  Wink

Lucky you, sir Wink
I have to say I dont remember last time I did a successful prediction (which would bring me really good money) however I have some story about DOGE too.

I rembember the times when it just got created, and when i heard about it, my face was more like "the fuq is going on with these people" than "what a great opportunity!".
DOGE currency seemed like a total joke for me and at the first glance I didnt want to believe it has some value Cheesy

And the funniest part? I wanted to use my PC (it was really good back then) to mine a little bit of DOGE, just for fun but my friend said I will only waste my time, he advised me to use my resources to mine bitcoin.
Guess what? Finally, I didnt mine any crypto Sad
665  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is 1000 btc Possible on: April 06, 2017, 05:27:22 PM
The only REALISTIC way to get 1000 BTC a this point is first aim for 10, x10 it in a good trade.

Then do the same 2 times again. There you have it, 1000 BTC.

You must do some perfect trades, get in early, and put ton massive amounts of risks and have luck.

There's no other way.
Finally, some experienced guy knows what to advise to others!
Times, when you could get 1000 btc for small amount of cash have passed forever.
You can never expect to see this kind of ride, that bitcoin had since 2011 and the problem is to get yourself into alt at the good timing.
There is also another issue- we currently have so many pumped cryptocurrencies, that you need to focus on excluding them from the legit ones.

As BillyBob said, you should focus more on getting constant gains instead of dreaming that 10000 btc out of nowhere.
666  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can break above $1,100 again? on: April 06, 2017, 05:09:39 PM
If it remains at $1,100 - $1,200 levels, then we can look at breaching $2,000 within the next 2-3 months. Who knows? May be by the end of the year, we may be able to touch the $5,000 per coin mark. The reason why I am saying is that right now many of the Altcoins are over-valued. Within the next few weeks, people will dump these coins and purchase Bitcoin.
Wow, you im feeling that you are a prophet Grin
Being serious, I would avoid saying that bitcoin price will surely go up because of altcoins dump,  I rather would say that there is a big chance for that.

I think the same as you Sithara, I believe that big part of alts market is actually overpriced: people tend to pump up money into coins that basically do not implement any new solutions: they are just a copy of another cryptocurrency.
After breaking 1250$ we can only wait for 1500$ level break, I really want to see that event ;>.
667  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitminer.io real or scam? on: April 06, 2017, 03:30:08 PM
Ufortunately I did not read this forum before trying out bitminer.io

Luckily i only upgraded to V1.2 .. after the initial small withdrawal, no more have been done during the last 3 weeks. They are still all pending.

Avoid like the plague.
Lol im so sorry, but im glad you have not wasted more money there.
I have invested 0.01 there (V1.1) just to get 0.005 withdrawal once and have 0.3 pending in withdrawals Cheesy
Totally waste of time, just a regular ponzi.
I think you couldnt even earn there in any time i guess, i was waiting for 3 months Cheesy
668  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: lending on poloniex and bitfinex on: April 06, 2017, 02:52:09 PM
Is lending worth the risk though? Never done it, but might be interested.
The thing is, that the risk you take for example on poloniex isnt as big as the risk you have on loaning btc here,in our home-btctalk.org.
That is why people use the principle "no collateral, no loan" because they are not going to risk their bitcoins just for a small return. They need something with value, to gain back the money loaned to them in case of scam.

I would treat poloniex more like a steady investment, where you can get some % of return from money invested pretty much without any risk, they just cover you up.
669  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any such service like the freebitco.in website investment? on: April 06, 2017, 01:50:54 PM
basically freebitco.in is a faucet sites and this investment program is new feature from them but as far as i know that there is no other faucet sites offering similar program such as freebitco.in and my advice to you is to avoid things that are undesirable invest small amount maybe fine because most people has been doubted this is could be succesfully long term program
The freebitco.in investing programme looks like it is totally not worth it to get in with your own money.
They offer around 4.08% every year you say, but look at it from the other perspective: most of legal companies, or banks can offer you 4% income every year when you invest.
The difference is only between the minimum investment size: you rather cannot invest 100$ in bank because of the very small gain. However you can do it with most of these "investing" sites, when most of them look like HYIP or cloudmining "company".
Bear in mind that most of them will turn out as a ponzi's.
670  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do you have an idea to invest your bitcoin in offline business? on: April 06, 2017, 08:24:58 AM
If i have lot of bitcoin i invest in buy 2 houses and one renting and other live.

Wow, the best step. But it would be better to mention is you use the bitcoin for trading, for if at the moment you can get far greater benefits than other trading places. Where the exact time is at the time of an increase in the level of difficulty on mining (4 years). If you can do it then I believe and am confident of your benefit will be greater than the investment your home

Of course, use the bitcoin for trading is the best way to make money than other investment or
offline business like renting house. We are know that all business in any country is have tax for government,
in Bitcoin world, we are free from any tax because there is no government intervention.
Thats not true.
If you live in the US, you need to pay tax for bitcoin: if you get any profit from it, you have to let know the government about it.
We can see many goverments regulating bitcoin, for example in Venezuela you cannot mine or use the bitcoin- if you do, you may go to jail.
Cryptocurrency is still something really new for most of the population, thats why we still don't see many countries implementing different kinds of crypto regulations.

Some governments support bitcoin/cryptocurrencies, other try to evase the crypto topic, and even others try to punish users of bitcoin.
You need to get used to tax, both in everyday life and in bitcoin- we can see this in a short time in a many countries i think.
671  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin prices go to the moon? on: April 05, 2017, 08:24:39 AM
I have found out that many people in this thread are speculating that bitcoin will go straight into sky, and nothing will stand in it's way.

Sound like not possible to happen unfortunately.
Every asset needs to fall a little to have constant price rise. Nothing can be unbeaten because the market is agreement between bulls and bears.

That is the reason bitcoin might be very expensive, but need time for it - i think about 5 years.
We need fluctuations on bitcoin to get it on next level and we still may see for example 2000$ for bitcoin in 2022.
672  Economy / Economics / Re: Question that has been a million times here on: April 05, 2017, 08:18:38 AM
Sorry mods, wasn't quite sure where to post this.

Well I may be losing my job due to the fantastic ecenomy here and I'm looking to make some income (monthly/weekly doesn't matter) but without the investments because I'm currently not in the position.
So I'm looking to make something like a youtube channel or another blog but I'm concerned if youtube accepts bitcoin ads because blogger was having problems with those. Also, does it even pay off to invest into some dice gambling websites prize pool btc I get from the sigature campaigns or does that require a little larger sum of btc?
I won't even ask about faucets and rotators because I've given up on those years ago. Anyone here maybe selling stock music or has some experience with it?
If you have some other suggestions, feel free to post, please. Thank you.

Well that really depends.
You were asking about investing into gambling site bankroll, and if you need a big sum of btc for that purpose - and that mostly rely on the casino you invest in.
I would say 1 bitcoin is a good money for it, and if we are talking about Youtube channel which has quality content:   1100 $ is nothing.

However the income you can get will be slow anyway.dont dream and get to work Wink
673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling sites should ask proofs ? on: April 05, 2017, 08:07:54 AM
While I don't appreciate the fact that they ask proof but that been said if they ask proofs and run in a more legit way then that's actually good for users as less scams would hapen.

proof of identity you mean? no one would play if they ask for that, people like to play with bitcoin because they don't have to deal with the boring identity verification, and somehow also dangerous, what if they steal my credentials and use it for illegal things? i can't risk that, i'll never send my id to anyone, and don't forgot that id can be false too, maybe someone stole a ID from someone else and use it to play
That is a good point.
I cannot understand why anybody would think about giving his own identity just to be safe about btc gambling.
There are many trusted sites, where you dont need verification of any kind.

Being anonymous as a user is very important thing to implement when building cryptocurrency casino, most of the players will always stick to anonymous sites.
We can spot a big number of casinos that dont collect sensitive info.
674  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why isn't public transport free? on: April 05, 2017, 07:47:34 AM
Taxes + tickets + ads revenues... All of this to pay executives and press relation managers high salaries?

If you want free public transport then that will mean higher taxes.

There is no free lunches in this world.

The government is simply getting funds from everyone, and redistributing them out again, mainly to the poorer people. It is all really about the balance between government subsidisation and taxpayers paying their fair share of taxes.

But if everyone in the world paid their dues, then we will have no problems with having free public transport for everyone.
675  Economy / Economics / Re: Most Secure Currency to Hold Funds on: April 05, 2017, 07:04:00 AM
If you've bought 1000BTC 2 years ago when price was $300 you'd paid $300,000 and now you could've had more than $1M.

Could you profit that much with gold?
Could you profit that much just holding dollar?

Do you really think an industry with at least $1B invested in mining farms would crash that easy?

As long as miners exist and difficulty keeps on rising bitcoin's price will never crash.

Miners will not intentionally do something like split the network which will greatly damage their own business.

2 years from now when price is well above $2500 you will look back and if not a holder you'll regret why you didn't convert your wealth into bitcoin.
Im really curious right now, if you are going to be right.

I would like to see bitcoin even for 2000$ and still thats a dream for me.

However, analysts are saying that 2017 is going to be the dream year for bitcoin. So maybe it will.

Im lucky to hold bitcoin if it is going to happen, but I dont think that right now converting your wealth to bitcoin and just holding it there without earning any interest from an investment is a best idea.
676  Economy / Goods / Re: How To Buy A Car With Bitcoin on: April 05, 2017, 06:25:50 AM
That is very dangerous and don't adviced. If you buy a car for Bitcoins you will need to pay a lot of fees to bring the car to your house. The transport fee is very expensive for this kind of stuff (at least where I live). And it's necessary to find a trusted seller, I think the risk is higher because the price of a car is much higher than other stuff people usually buy, like clothes, shoes... If I would order a deal like this the cost would be mich higher than buying for fiat near where I live.
I have to say that I agree with you.

After getting straight to trusted dealer, you have to pay a fee for car transport if you dont live in the US.

If you do, you can always go to the shop and look at cars which are currently available, but you still need to pay for fees or petrol to get back with your car.

Just go to any car dealer in your local area. You'll probably get a better deal on your car than if you bought it online with bitcoin, because that way you leave out all the conversion fees, shipping costs, etc. etc.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: best gambling site? on: April 04, 2017, 09:19:17 PM
Well, I dont think that some site is better than the other one, unless the house edge is lower: then it is extremely important factor to consider.

Im talking only about provably fair casinos, I dont enter sites which I dont trust.

However I dont really care about UI during the game, it is fun for me every time I do bets with small  house edge Wink
678  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with loss? on: April 04, 2017, 09:24:41 AM
So in trading how do you deal with loss? For example you've invested in an alt and now it has fallen quite hard and you're on the brink of losing all your bitcoin you invested in it.
How do you actually deal with it? Do you wait and keep on waiting in hope that it will bounce back up and return your investment or you sell and get whatever left of your investment?

I really have to ask, do you ask only about cryptocurrency trading or about trading in general?
I dont have big experience in crypto trading, but I have been trading forex for some time ( I have stopped around 2 years ago, due to lack of time, however im getting back to it ).
Basically, I have been mostly scalping at fx markets, im that type of daytrader that tries to close his open orders as fast as it is possible.
For me, loss in trading doesn't necessarily means im affected by it: as a trader, I have to stay calm as long as possible, so I cannot be worried about the loss I just made.

It works great for me, but mostly because my average loss in fx trading is small- I always set up stoploss / takeprofit on 10 pips difference.
679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins? on: April 04, 2017, 09:08:28 AM
I think offline wallet is the safest among the rest, it prevents from scam that usually done by exchanges. But I trust my local exchange because it requires our identification. But I am not sure we can trace them or file a complaint once they scam us.
I have to say sir, that I cannot undestand your point of view.
In what case identification verification made by exchange, would prevent you being scammed by them ?
Plus, you can get even more trouble in the situation when exchange scams their clients: They take your bitcoins away but also they can sell your identity to third, unauthorized parties.
That may cause a lot of struggle: someone would take a loan in your name, and you cannot even do anything about it: unless there is a way you can show an evidence of getting your ID details stolen.
680  Economy / Economics / Re: Gibraltar War on: April 04, 2017, 08:42:39 AM
The UK wouldn't have to go to war, if Spain wouldn't lay a claim on Gibraltar.

War is probably the quickest way to get out of EU :O I'm pretty sure that won't happen though, it's just some tough language to show power. Or an April fools joke.
I doubt that any government would have joked about such an important, and serious thing.
Also, i have to agree that war would be the fastest way possible to get out of EU, but I really have to admit, that I cannot imagine United Kingdom of Britain would start a war freshly after leaving EU- just because they want to keep Gibraltar for themselves.

Everything is possible anyway, I hope that we don't have to be worried about any war coming.
The vision of another war terrifies me I have to say, because I cannot imagine more cruelty  than during WW2, but im afraid that might happen.
