No it is not the end of bitcoin when it gets regulated and it will be regulated very soon ,this may the UK government are looking into it they want to learn more and have spent 12 million to research it before they decide on how to do it to apparently make it a safer place for both investors and merchants. Chances are when they have there foot in the door they will try to control as much as they can..
If they start to tax everything with Bitcoin, it will be the end for mass adoption, only for people interested in anonymously doing business or lefties |

This issue is the single biggest threat to bit coin. People don't lose faith over chinese banks and potential regulations. They lose faith when their currency is stolen. You mean like people stopped using dollars after Bernie Madoff's scam was revealed? All Bitcoin being stolen means is it's worth enough to make stealing it worthwhile. Stupid people will continue to get swindled. Smart people will protect their money. This has nothing to do with smart or dumb, EVO just took off, after being the most succesfull dark market. Very smart people lost money too . But DARK markets can't make people lose faith in Bitcoin, when legitame business start scamming them, or your wallet is empty when you open it, THAT will make people lose faith in bitcoin. |

Why should they hide, they were so hardcore pro that no-one knows who they are. They were the only darkmarket with so good security that were never down, NEVER! Believe me that authorities wanted them down in the same time als silkroad reloaded, but they simply couldn't. Those guys will return with a new darkmrket in a few months, really don't know who to trust now, the only option now is a decentral market, with no-one in charge, but that seems impossible... time to check NXT Freemarket or OpenBazaar Nucleus, pandorra or middle earth are better in my view Yet EVO really was the best.... |

I am thinking to restart Ltcd with a new team. Only the question I Will ask the community if there is support for?
I realy don't wanna put time in something what is not supported by the community.

What are your plans? and whats about vicvelcro, our beloved dev? The beloved dev that couldn't even code html, locked the community thread and then threatened to sue anyone who would want to resurrect it (which is complete bs because you can't sue for something that's a coingen clone, and open source) As I said before, if you'd want to actually progress the Coin you'd have to bring it to POS only otherwise POW would always kill the price. It would take someone who is invested enough to want to make that happen plus the technical knowledge to do it. If you want to resurrect the Coin then don't ask, just do it but make sure you block Vic from being a part of it otherwise you are wasting your time. Allways have been awfull, unless you order 50 or 100, then they seem much more friendly . Their customer service concentrates in tellign you to do their job, apply some new paste etc etc etc, truly shit service |

Were talking around 33million usd worth of BTC. Anyone putting a figure on the exit scam is purely speculating, we don't know how much, because it was anonymous, and also have to say, EVI was the most professional to date, too bad they abused this skill. EVO should have gone offline anyway, because it was next on the list. The creators of EVO will be back in a few months, really don't know which market to turn to now, they can all vanish in a instant... |
