661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 16, 2022, 10:51:36 PM
Argentina literally had an exhibition game. You can't call this match a showdown. It is typical that you choose an opponent where you know you will not lose. I am also curious who will be the top scorer of the tournament. The bookies think Harry Kane, but why not Mbappe or Benzema? The number of goals in qualifying doesn't say much. If you are with a country like San Marino and you score 4 goals, what does that mean? Incidentally, I also heard that Senegal is number 20 on the FIFA ranking. Quite a high rating for this African country. What I also heard is that they managed to eliminate France in 2002. They are hungry for success, with Mane, the man in form but also the man who got injured unfortunately. I don't know if he can play the first game right away.
This world cup will be an interesting one as some of the legends and top players will be featuring in their last world cup before retirement so a lot is expected and so much thrilling experience to get from it. I can't really say which striker will score the most goals but I know some players will impress in this world cup. Senegal being top 20 isn't so much of a surprise to me because it is well deserved, they have represented Africa in the world  and they are a hungry and ambitious side. I can't wait for the games to begin to see how the top players will fare.
We all hope to see trilling games from the world cup tournament. The stars representing their various countries are just so countless almost every country has at least one iconic player with expectations from their fans. And been that this will be the last for most of this icons we expect to see the competition that hasn't been recorded in the history of football. Who gets the most goal from this world cup will be decided by which country's team has the most team work and management.

It is still nice to see the people who are voting for even Liverpool to become the champions. But if we become more realistic then we can see that it is really difficult for Liverpool to enter the title race this season. After that bad run the gap with the teams at top has got much bigger. There is a 15-point gap with Arsenal now.

I know that the season is still long but Liverpool just need to be very consistent and hope for Arsenal - Manchester City duo to make mistakes more often. But I just think that the biggest thing Liverpool can do this season is to finish at the 3rd position in the standings. Even this would be nice for them considering that they are having an average season now.
Anything is actually possible in the Premier League. This season has decided to come with surprises. But i am pretty sure Liverpool becoming Champions at the end of the season will no be part of the surprise anyways finishing third will be a fair effort considering how the struggled in their early games but still it is not feasible to them considering Arsenal who is 15 points ahead of them, ManCity 10 points ahead and Newcastle 8 points. The should aim for the league Champion that way they might succeed in finding a place in the top 4. Even in the top 4 the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea are also battling hard to replace Tottenham in their current standing it is really good the top clubs started quite bad this season this will bring more competition to the league because this will be  a true test of who deserves the top 4 most and who is more qualified for the league championship.

663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: November 16, 2022, 09:52:44 PM
I can't say that Xavi Hernandez is one of the coaches that Barcelona has, because he just started coaching Barcelona, I still want to see how far he can consistently build Barcelona's performance. However, I don't rule out that Xavi Hernandez can become one of the best coaches Barcelona has,
We will judge better from next season, we will be able to tell if the team is finally at the stage that xavi wants it to get or still struggling. They crashed out of the champions league this season quickly, next season if they qualify for the champions league, it will be expected of them to do better, and more eyes and pressure will be on the Xavi to see if he is making good use of all the talented players they have in the team.
Xavi will be very careful next season. He must have seen the mistakes he made in the Champions League group stage this season and will do all he can to be the most favourite to lift the trophy next season. His corrections will first begin from their performance in the Europa League as the meet with Manchester United from statistics the have beaten Manchester 6 times, lost 3 and drawn 4 in a H2H clash.

So far Xavi has improved Barcelona Performance. It might not be as good enough as what Barca fans expected especially how the failed to qualify for the round of 16 but from last season till the end of their 14th match before the world cup break the have been the most consistent in the Laliga.
664  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why the 95% of future traders lose all of their money on: November 15, 2022, 10:13:32 PM
A well structured trading plan is expected of a trader who plans on managing their trading psychology. Trading generally be it futures or spot has high risk to reward ratio. Not even trading strategy nor risk management can limit the losses of future traders. A trading plan defines what the trader expects from every trade, it also magnifies strategies and clearly defines what risk management measure a future trader wishes to deploy.  Trading plan has been neglected by many traders, many who draft their plans don't bother referencing them before every trade. The factors that hinders traders from making consistent profit most times are not as ambiguous has it is painted to be most of the times it might be as a result of simple negligence to things that are meant to be priorities just like having a plan boldly crested where a trader will easily sight them before executing their trades..
665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 15, 2022, 08:49:01 PM
In this thread, there ud a question: Who will be champion in the 2022/23 season?
17.2% have bet on Arsenal and 44.3% on Manchester City. Liverpool also have 17.2% with a total of 122 votes. So now it looks different from the predictions. And it's exciting because many see City as the champions. In the last 5 years they have won 4x and 1x Liverpool 2020. Arsenal the last time in 2004.
54/122 voters chose Manchester City as the team that will win the title this season. Arsenal and Liverpool have the same percentage, but still none of this will affect this team's chances of winning. I know this is just a really interesting prediction among bitcointalk users, so the discussion in this thread still keeps people interested regardless if they are betting on the match or not.
The stat doesn't change the fact Arsenal still stand as the favourite to win the EPL 22/23 season. Manchester City had the most vote because no one believed Arteta will stand in the top 4 this season but here they are dominating the table and leading Man City with 5 points. Arsenal now has 17.9% of the total Vote while Liverpool still remains at 17.1%. It will take Arsenal consecutive losses to relinquish the top but City still has more draw games after the World cup break.

I don't know about you, but I would have given the golden ball to Lewandowski .. Benzema is in tenth position for goals
I'd say a little too little for a Ballon d'Or champion

at this rate he could break records, Lewandowski
Benzema played 7 out of 14 matches in the Laliga scoring 5 goals and 1 assist he has been absent in 7 matches due to injury. Lewandowski hasn't missed any match this season he played all 14 matches scoring 13 goals and 4 assists which has given him more edge . I hope if Benzema remains fit after the world cup he will cover-up for the times he was absent. The golden boot will not be too easy for Lewandowski to win. let wait till after the world cup when the season will resume again for more challenge.
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 13, 2022, 10:09:53 AM
I was one of the people who underrated Arsenal this season, and if you look at the poll on this thread, you would confirm that Arsenal was undermined by voters. It was the latest voters that are making their choice for the club grow because they now see the reality of what is happening. Arsenal is doing well, this is their time, and they should use it well. Just like you, I never doubted the winning against Wolves, I only thought the goals to be scored would be more than 2.

Frankly, the defeat of Man City at home by Brentford was shocking, this has given Arsenal yet another opportunity to win the league.

Arsenal are doing well, stable results without failures, but City are increasingly making mistakes, and this time their mistake allowed Arsenal to break away already by 5 points. How will the bosses of City now appreciate the fact that they let go Jesus and Zinchenko to the Arsenal? This was done in order to strengthen the team with Haaland, who knows, the season is not over yet, but Arsenal is confidently moving towards its goal.

Arsenal now has the most consistent performance in the league. I also doubted their consistency and it got stronger when the had their first and only loss to Manchester United. But after then the club grew even stronger. Arsenal has a good edge to start from after the world cup because 5 points ahead of Man City is a big gap that will boast their motivation when the resume with their 15th game for the season. G. Jesus and Zenchenko will be missed by the Etihad Stadium stars but their value is even stronger with the Emirates

I have a wild suggestion i don't know how it might sound. How about soliciting to all campaigns on the forum to have it added to their avatar design that way it will capture the attention of forum users  and newbies as it will be seen on regular base so long the user visits the forum. Sometimes activities can make someone forget to move coin bought on CEX back to cold wallets. It really sad how people lose coins and denied access to their coin on exchanges
669  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WBTC vs BTC on: November 13, 2022, 09:39:20 AM
The most deceptive part of this WBTC is that it has bitcointalk.org has it's included community on coingecko as well as the official site of  Bitcoin.  Newbies could mistake it for an extension of Bitcoin project maybe another hard-fork. The force of the plunge is getting even stronger currently it is trading below $2, 300. I have searched to see if it has a white paper but nothing of such exist. Many must have fallen for this with the mindset of investing in Bitcoin

Tottenham is losing 1-2 to Leeds United in the first half. It is difficult to predict what the outcome of the second half will yield. But when they played against Bournemouth they had a strong come back in the second half getting 3 goals in the second half after the ended the first half in 2-0 loss.  Leeds are almost of equal strength with Tottenham and the pressure from the visiting team is so high that Conte needs so much work to make a good chance of taking the lead else they might lose point just has Man City did against Brentford
671  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Reminder: Treat Exchanges as Marketplaces on: November 12, 2022, 10:25:03 AM

Day traders can't really afford to move their funds to their wallet everyday but its possible to follow by other kind of traders.

Yeah it's a challenge for daily traders. I had suggested before that it will be better to split them into two or more exchanges depending on on the traders fund. At least its rare to have all exchanges having issues at the same time. Then monthly some of the funds can be moved to wallets. This could minimise the risk.

Just like we warn investors about risking what the can afford to lose the same goes to day traders on centralised exchanges leaving the amount that is worth losing on a single exchange. Day trading has never given passive income since it's origin so why risk so heavily, it is of no use waiting to move funds monthly it can be done as soon as a certain target is achieved or at the end of every trade depending on the account size.
672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 12, 2022, 10:06:11 AM
I also enjoy Christian Ronaldo's games, but recently Ronaldo's have dropped drastically compared to when he was much younger, actually when he started at manchester united and also real Madrid later going to Juventus he also played well, coming back to man u now his performance have dropped but even at that Ronaldo is still a legend and playing at the world cup I know he will do his best.
I don't think Ronaldo's performance has really dropped, I think he hasn't been lucky with the Manchester United squad since this season. At least last season he carried the club on his shoulders and saved them from relegation. The world cup will give him a chance to play where his comfort level is similar to that of Juventus and Real Madrid where he got lots of trophies. The only issue Ronaldo will face is his decline in pace due to age factor but if well feed with good passes i trust him to do quality finishing
673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not your key not your coins is real, not just quoted. (FTX Issue) on: November 12, 2022, 09:55:42 AM
No exchange is above bankruptcy but CEXs cannot be avoided completely. Not everyone who got affected by FTX collapse are holders some might have moved their coin there for a possible swap and others for quick sell to fiat but ran out of luck. If they was a way to sell direct to cash in DEXs i think CEXs manipulations would have been a long forgotten story. Avoiding this exchanges would have been much more easier if there were better options because not everyone is conversant with Bitcoin has legal tender so many still see it as an asset because of its volatility and how about the aged in underdeveloped countries who sell in local markets how do they get paid in BTC so one will always have to swap to fiat to fit into the society the belong.
674  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Here is my take on FTX case on: November 12, 2022, 09:32:54 AM
If Binance had come to their bailout as intended maybe there would have been a faster solution but as it stands Binance has backed out and the CEO of FTX Sam Bankman-Fried resigned  with John J. Ray III, a corporate turnaround specialist, taking over as chief executive.. The best thing at the moment is for their customers to calm their nerves and wait for any possible intervention but to be honest no one actually know what to expect and the possibility of getting refunds is slim.
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 11, 2022, 07:11:33 PM
It's interesting to see this match especially at the moment Newcastle are in a good trend and Chelsea still can't get out of a bad form due to a few injured players.
Currently the odds are 2.35 for Newcastle and 3.15 for Chelsea. No wonder this is considering the bookmakers must have seen Chelsea's shortcomings now with some players missing and acting as an away team in this match but I still feel the gaps and odds are too big for Chelsea.
The game is really a difficulties one to predict but Newcastle are on the brighter side to win the game above Chelsea. Let's check their statistics, Newcastle have won most of their games this season and they're among the top four which is their first time in recent seasons and they will want to keep it like that, unlike blues who are having difficulties in winning games instead their drastic poor form continued. I know most gamblers will play infavor of Newcastle hoping to see them win the blues.

What do you expect of bettors when the stat is clearly in favour of Newcastle. Bookies are giving higher odds to Chelsea not just because most of their players are on injury nor their bad form, they are playing away and Newcastle has been more consistent with their games. If they can get a draw against City then winning Chelsea with an unbalanced team should be much easier. The best Chelsea can play against Newcastle is defensive so the can share 1 point each
676  Economy / Speculation / Re: I hope this Bitcoin dip won't be deeper? on: November 10, 2022, 05:07:41 PM
Based on recent trend in Bitcoin, this is the worst year in crypto history and the year is not over yet. I was talking to a friend this morning concerning the current crypto trend and guess what? This dude is loosing hope already.

And I don't even know how to encourage myself to invest more in Bitcoin, is it right for me to go ahead and buy the dip ?
We haven't seen the worst yet many more might lose interest especially people thinking of starting up crypto journey who understand how support and resistance work because the decision of the market isn't clear yet. But in real sense this might be a good time to take the risk and invest in Bitcoin. Even if the dip persists it can't return completely to zero neither will it crash but rather a major resistance will uphold price somewhere at the dip maybe around $11k, $12k or $13k but if the price decides to pump from its current price then it becomes green to the buyer.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: November 10, 2022, 04:16:01 PM
Taking both Barcelona and Manchester United's current performances into account, we can conclude that Barcelona is a better side than Manchester United because they have a couple of wins in their last matches and have recently surpassed Real Madrid to become the top of the Laliga table, whereas Manchester United is still struggling to return to the top four in the Premier League table. Nonetheless, the match will be difficult because we both know that Manchester United has a strong team capable of defeating Barcelona, even if their Premier League performance is not as good as Barcelona's in Laliga.
We can't conclude yet which club is far better because both clubs play in different leagues having their respective weakness. Barcelona were unable to enter the knock out stage of the Champions League , while Manchester finished the same point with Real Sociedad just 1 point GD separated them. It is going to be a home and away game so aggregate will count as well as goals. Ten Hag seems to give in more to the Europa League than he does in the Premier League and United has a more balanced team than Barcelona at the moment all they need to is utilise them.
678  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchangers Are safer then Banks and wallets on: November 10, 2022, 02:26:03 PM
We live of generation of refund, in crypto main thing Are refund what i did learn about.
What if Binance get hacked and i don't mean your personnal wallet on their exchange, the entire exchange will there still be a refund? And even if they do it will take a very long time and obviously getting the exact worth of the coin left in their exchange is impossible.

Hardware wallet gives full control and decentralisation it gives this peace one gets when they know their funds is in safe hands. When seeking a wallet to save coin never trust CEXs they can disappear at any time even Binance is not too big to abscond. Imagine if multiple users get their account hacked in one day picture how long it will take to get a refund....
679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 10, 2022, 12:13:54 PM

Firing Tuchel and replacing him with Potter is actually not the right solution for Boehly. I'm sure Chelsea will suffer a setback and it will be very difficult to compete for the title.

Now Potter is starting to feel great pressure at Stamford Bridge. This happened after the Blues only won one game from the last five Premier League matches. Chelsea management will certainly regret its decision if the Blues have to finish outside the top four standings.

It was the worst choice Chelsea management has ever made to fire Tuchel and replace him with Potter. The Chelsea management's decision to fire a coach who won the champions league trophy for the team made me sad, even though the team was not in form when he took as Lampad's replacement as coach. However, it was done in an effort to help the team get back on track.

In fact, it was the beginning of the season when Tuchel was fired, which was too soon for that. I had expected the Chelsea club to be a little more patient while waiting for Tuchel to complete a specific task for the club.

If potter can quickly discovered where is need to be corrected it can surely make it to four standings of the table because he still have about 25 matches to played, the club just played 13 matches out of 38 matches.

The deeds have been done, Firing Tuchel and replacing him with Potter. Chelsea football club has moved on with Potter as their head coach. Potter only needs more time, he has lost 3matches since he took over from Tuchel, not a good start but he has qualified Chelsea for the next stage of the champion league. The next upcoming match is against Newcastle, am believing that Chelsea will win. The Top 4 position is still possible for Chelsea to achieve before the end of the season
Fans will never be contented and the same complains would have been wagging if Todd had not sacked Tuchel and their performance keeps getting worst. My only problem with Potter is that he hasn't built his own Strategy yet he is still trying out Tuchel formula which seem to have worked few matches after his debut match but his last two games saw a different shape . I am thinking he is waiting for the transfer window by the summer to strengthen the club. Potter should be given sometime for now Chelsea needs some changes the likes of Pulisic and Kia Havertz needs to be sold and as it stands  Chelsea don't have a reliable second ix
680  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Elliot Wave Theory a self fullfiling prophecy? on: November 09, 2022, 02:23:48 PM
Elliot waves fit well in all time frames but its effectiveness depends on which time frame the trader functions best at. The 1-5-abc wave pattern formed are mostly repetitive forming motion waves and corrective waves alternating at every trend. This formation is quite simple but a bit technical because spotting best waves that corresponds to impulsive or motion wave will determine how accurate the wave forming the repulsive or correction wave.

Mostly 1,3 and 5 forms upward motive wave in an uptrend and while 2 and 4 forms corrective wave with A,B and C making smaller waves and the reverse in a down trend. Elliot wave can be a useful trading strategy because trends are always forming waves at every successive move but knowing when to join this waves is what makes the best of this strategy.
