661  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: https://www.betcoin.tm SCAMMERS! STAY AWAY !!! BE AWARE!!! on: March 07, 2016, 05:02:50 AM
Hello there Bitcointalk Community,

i have to say that ive lost all my Balance on Betcoin.Tm without no reason. After contacting the Support Team they just tell me ive lost it in Gamlbing but itm was from there signature campaign - There where no Gamlbing! And ive lost all my Funds. Seconds before i thought of depositing and playing maybe with an big stack..

Now im really fucked off i lost all my siggnature work but iam clearly in good mood i not invested more in thoose shit Scammers https://www.betcoin.tm Betcoin TM Betcoin.tm ScammerS!

SO GUYS BE AWARE OF THE SCAMMERS!

CHEERS

There are so many threads and accusations against that casino and for some reason people still keep doing business with them. Its best to just avoid them and the signature campaign also. I have only taken part of the freerols, luckily they payd out those without issues but that was a long time ago, maybe they have changed for the worse. Plenty of signature campaigns to choose from.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ◆Rubies◆ [RBIES] Trade-Mining | Backed by established business at launch. on: March 06, 2016, 01:06:04 PM
Is there any plans in the future to decrease bet mining rewards coz 30rbies per 1btc wager seems very high, maybe half is good, to increase price too

Absolutely, it can be adjusted within 24 hours if in the future the community prefers to reduce. We wanted to make sure that anyone new would have first chance at higher rewards to bet-mine them as a reward for early Rubie adoption though. I tried to plan it very similar to mining rewards on most coin launches, it can be adjusted though to limit or increase supply at any time. This is one reason alone that having a system like Rubies does, gives total community control over incoming supply. Much of early 'dumps' will come from players who received their initial Rubies on launch day and decide to sell early, or win a lot through betting. This presents an opportunity for new people to grab some early on, and to keep the price from inflating unnaturally in the first couple months.

Good point to bring out. Not really sure how the 30 per BTC plays out. At this point we are roughly at 1% bet mined i think, so plenty more to mine that way. As for price wise, its still so so early, the very beginning of the distribution phase so best to get as many involved as possible. The main thing is to figure out an incentive to keep them holding and not just selling. Will see what it takes, nothing to do but test and try different things and see how they work.
663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just lost 2.21 BTC on Bitsler on: March 05, 2016, 07:25:34 AM
It was a nice run, but in the end the house obviously won... Was trying to make 0.03 btc when i got to 2.27. Then hit a badass streak.

Goodbye all, it was nice to be involved in the bitcoin community. I dont think i'll return. BTC and gambling combined are a nasty mix. Gambling with BTC has taken up most of my time which i am supposed to study and do work with.

http://imgur.com/uGdwMor

It was the house in the end that won, thats true. But actually the real winner was greed, not knowing when to stop is the main reason that gamblers go bust, just trying to push it a bit more every time till they eventually fold and then the depression kicks in. Stoping gambling is the best you can do, just concentrate on your studies and work, there are so many better things to do Smiley
And btw, taking 0.03 to over 2 BTC is an achievement on its own.

You guys need to have a list of team members posted in the OP.  At least the names of the members posting here for BetterBets.  Any links posted by anyone other than betterbets.io will have people second guessing if the links are legit or not.

Thank you Techbytes great suggestion and not just the first good one you made either Smiley , it's appreciated and we added to the OP so people know who to trust for downloads. PM me your Rubies address please when you get time.

Looks like a bit of volume is starting to pick up on exchanges also, i caught quite a lot of cheap coins today Smiley Most likely will get some more but not for long, price will go up eventually!
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Buying ethereum from poloniex - is it risky? on: March 02, 2016, 06:23:59 PM
Hi
How risky is it to buy ethereum from poloniex and storing it in a wallet later?
Did anyone has some experience with it?
How far can I trust the ethereum network to store plenty of my money savings? It says on it's website that it's pre-alpha.
thanks.

I would say that Poloniex is one of the safest exchanges we have right now and most deffinetly with the biggest volume. They have proven to be trustworthy so far and with the money they are making from the fees i would say they should be pretty happy. They have also held a huge amount of BTC and ETH at any given time. (theres are constantly offers up for several thousand BTC). They haven't run with it and i got a pretty good feeling they wont either. As for ETH price, that is up to you.
666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rubies speculation and prediction. on: March 02, 2016, 04:31:03 PM
This thread is for the discussion of Rubies RBIES goal is to see what people think can be future price point and use for this unique currency. It's unique in that the devs seem to be creating a business backed basis for its use through old standing and new crypto establishments. It has a bunch of distribution methods. The coin is new but shows a lot of promise if you don't know wtf Rubies are here's the thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1364104.0

I believe in a liquid market 12k satoshi per Rubie is valid what's your thoughts?

It is a very solid coin and i am pretty sure that it will go up a lot more. The big thing is that the currency is backed by BetterBets casino and it seems more businesses will be adding it to their sites. The more uses Rubies gets the better the coin will get. I can certainly see it being stable over 10k satoshis, if Rubies grows, why not even see it break 100k. The supply for the coin is 10 mil but you also need to keep in mind that the investors hold 75k x 40 = 3mil  And they will not sell because they would not get the BTC payments if they sold. After one year the investors need to buy more if they wish to hold their spot as an investor, so in ideal conditions it will be 90k x 40 = 3.6 Mil and it goes on like that. This means the overall supply that is in circulation will get lower and lower, hopefully increasing the value.
667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC]♠CasinoCoin v2.1 ♥ 2.7 Yrs Old ♦ NEW SandCoins - Two Brands One Chain♣ on: March 02, 2016, 11:01:02 AM
Oh snap that sounds interesting lol, any hint as to how?

It should be obvious. I'm going to cut the block reward on those jackasses later this year. I'd like to make it drop incrementally until we get to 1 csc per block. It's the only way we can get rid of those jokers mining csc just to autosell for btc.
This would have to be a consensus decision, but I understand where you're coming from

Have never been a fan of "changing the rules of the game". It has happened once already for CSC and was not happy about it then. I feel any crypto that "changes the rules" looses credibility. Imagine if BTC decided to change the reward structure or coin supply? Let's be honest...what is being proposed is simply just a means of currency manipulation.

Other stuff like diff adjustments, algo, AuxPOW, POS, etc. are bearable but to a lot of people are still bad form.

Oh well, just stating my peace....and trying to provide some level of guidance.   Roll Eyes

Do as you wish  Tongue

....and will it really be a consensus decision? Who will vote? The miners you are trying to penalize? No, I imagine if this change is done people will try to force everyone to "upgrade" to the new version regardless of how the miners vote with their hash. All you have to do is convince enough key people to "upgrade" and to hell with consensus.  Lips sealed

Discussion is Good!

In my opinion we need to do whats good for the coin, its holders and especially its potential users. Please consider the following:
  • We generate about 7 mln coins a year, at current block reward that means we reach maximum coinsupply in about 5 years from now
  • How important are miners to the network? I think hashing power in itself is of non-importance, the node count in the network is. So to keep solving blocks it is better to have 100 miners of 1MHash/sec geographically dispersed instead of 5 miners of 1GHash/sec. The diff will simply be lower but the network will be more resistant to nodes that go broke or hostile takeovers of the blockchain
  • What will happen when the max coin supply is reached? As CSC has a low blocktime of about 30-40 seconds there will be a change that there are blocks without any transactions. Offcourse i hope we will be a big success and this will not happen but still, the amount of transactions per block will be lower than BTC. Aside from being an advantage for the transaction speed it renders it less interesting to miners as they will be paid by then through fees only.
  • Users only care about transaction speed and the coin value

Considering this i think we are left with three options:
  • We lower the block reward to extend the time it takes to reach the max coin supply.
  • We create an alternative way besides current scrypt pow mining to process transactions in the blockchain.
  • We allow AuxPOW aka Merged Mining

I personally would opt for the second option, especially if it removes the need for special mining hardware. Still you need some sort of reward which has to be paid by somebody. I think we agree we do not want to touch the coinsupply, ... so POS is not an option as that will dilute the coin. I believe some transaction relaying based POW algorithm would be the best option where clients are rewarded based on the amount of transactions they relay/confirm on the network. Anybody running a wallet or daemon could participate on that and get part of a block reward. I am not sure if something like that already exists and still the reward has to come from somewhere when the max coinsupply is reached ...... maybe a CSC Foundation donation based wallet that pays for that?

Discussion is needed indeed on this issue. I have a feeling the third parties will also want a say in this, especially if they are going to use the coin in their casinos/sites etc. Not really sure what road to support. POS would make it non reliant on miners but would also keep on increasing the supply, not sure if it is something that the companies want. POW might be the way to continue, once the coins price goes up it should balance itself out, at least that is the hope.

I am fairly confident DIgiByte will have a double digits market cap this year  Smiley Cool This is like buying bitcoins when it was still 20 cents.

do you think that the Friday conference will affect the price of digibyte?

(Public vs Private Blockchains: A DigiByte perspective)

I am pretty sure there will be a prump coming because this is actually a pretty big deal. The coin itself is developed well and now add in the conference, it will cause a pump. Today was most likely just a small test and it went realy well, the price jumped up and made a new bottom. I would not be suprised if we see 100 soon
669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing whenever you're Gaining? on: March 01, 2016, 10:53:40 AM
We always start betting at small amount of bitcoin and suddenly make it grow but whenever we reach such amount we always lose alot even when you change your winning chance to 90% or 95% you will get 5 losing streak. Is this just coincidence or just sites have those kind of stuff that make it happen??
Well depends on what site you play on but as long as the site is provably fair you can be almost sure that you are not being scammed. The thing is that in order to reach those "big" amounts you first play and the longer you play the bigger the chance that the house edge will catch up to you. The big amounts also seem more unfair because most players are used to playing small amounts and the few big ones they make are the ones they remember. Having 5 losses in a row on 90% when playing with a few satoshis does not feel the same than doing it with a few btc.

my google chrome says the site might have nalware. how can i fix this?

Interesting that you are getting that error, i havent seen that error ever before when entering Crypto-Games. I am certain that they are not spreading any malware, must be some kind of a bug in chrome. They have a very good record here on Bitcointalk and i do not remember that anyone had any real issues with them. Go give them a try, they got quite a few different currencies you can play with and they also allow you to invest. Nice way to grow your coin bag.

Looks like this Gambling Exchange went AWOL, website returning a 503 Service Unavailable error... R.I.P

Well they told it on the site and they also notified users via email that they will be closing for an unknown time. Not sure what got them in the end, either they are dissapointed that they saw so little volume in the days they were open ( which is kind of expected, you cant expect to open a site and then think as soon as it opens you will see massive volume). Could also be that someone won on dice and they got semi-busted by that. Will see how it goes from here, it is kind of sad because the trading was pretty nice there.

submitted again to Poloniex with sandcoin information. BTW, can the Sandcoin info and link to the release e added to the OP?

Hopefully Poloniex takes not of the coin, would be a huge step for the coin but getting there is so damn tricky. Looks like we are going to the sub 3k territory for now, not many buy orders left there. I personally do not mind getting some more for that price but not sure how it will look for Polo when the price is only sinking for a long time. Lets hope everything swings into full gear soon Smiley been quite a while already (well business takes time lol).
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ◆Rubies◆ [RBIES] Unique distribution | Backed by established business at launch. on: February 29, 2016, 04:33:45 PM
1.2 million coins will be moved from the cold storage address to accommodate March Madness distribution, this will be occurring within 1-2 hours for those who watch the blockchain. A portion of these coins are dedicated to stakeholders who are buying into the Rubies stakeholder plan as well. Do not be alarmed by this movement, it is factored into the planned events.

Thank you for letting the community know, this is what i like about this project, very open communication and very clear on what they are doing and are planing to do. This helps to keep the confidence up Smiley
That 16k price is amazing! The climb for Rubies has been real over the course of such a short time, with march madness who knows what can happen! Hoping we break 100k at some point Smiley would be amazing!
674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do we know if the altcoin has a potencial to increase the value? on: February 29, 2016, 07:36:31 AM
Hi guys i need some advice because im new in trading i just want to know if how do we know if the altcoin has potencial to be growth oor the value will be increase weeks or sooner??

Depends on what you wish to do with the coin. If you are just into trading then there are a few small tricks that help you see where the coin is going. The most simple way is to follow some whales/manipulators/crypto traders on twitter. Keep on eye on what they are promoting and what coins they are pushing for. Buy some and be ready to sell fast, the coins they pump might be PnD coins but this does not mean you can't make some profit on them Smiley
Other than that nothing but research will help you. You need to take a look if the coin has an active development team, what features does it bring, how many people are involved etc.
675  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🎲🌟 MoneyPot.com -- The Bitcoin Gambling Wallet 🌟🎲🌟 [Official] Phase 1 on: February 29, 2016, 07:20:15 AM

I think it could be a good idea to add it into the OP also (sorry if it is there but i did not notice it). Also removing the dead apps is a good idea, having some kind of quality guidelines would also increase the popularity of the site. And what is up with those easter eggs Cheesy looks like a really fun idea to do some marketing for the site and give users incentive to use the site more. Also looks just fun Cheesy
And congraz to Yahoo on the wins Smiley
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AppleBytes - the cryptocurrency for the arts! on: February 29, 2016, 06:47:41 AM
Interesting idea. Yes the same person developed them both. I will give him a call.

Any update?

I would like to know that too since I have been facing issues with the wallet lately regarding my balance to become confirmed. It still says pending and I cannot use that balance from within my ABY wallet  Sad

I was hoping that there could be a repairwallet or checkwallet command from within the debug window, but I guess that the dev missed that part. Due to this fact, I will not buy or use ABY until there is a solution for it. Still, I will hold my ABY safely on a paper wallet for future reference.  Smiley

I would also like to know if there are any updates for ABY, it feels like the development has slowed down and there hasn't been a whole lot of news lately. It is a shame because the idea behind the coin was pretty nice and it seems there was a bit of community behind it also (tho not that much here on bitcointalk). I really hope everything is ok and that ABY will continue its way forward and continue as it has just with bigger user base.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ◆Rubies◆ [RBIES] Unique distribution | Backed by established business at launch. on: February 28, 2016, 07:03:29 PM
For transparency, part of the cold storage coins will be used during March Madness phase 2 distribution. You will see coins moved from this address: http://blockexplorer.betterbets.io:8080/address/RKeqS7wKjCG1tRanXAWFCCWizdhpH8SA1h to fund people who earn more Rubies each Sunday during March. (this will make more sense March 1st.)

Hope everyone is enjoying their coins, it would appear so as the first use-case for Rubies is showing the following statistics:

Total Bets: 148,169,445   Rubies volume Wagered: 175,996,920

This is an enormous amount of volume for 14 days, and we are very confident the upcoming announcements will further cement the foundation by strengthening the goals of a long lasting and proud currency for all users.

Just to add on to your statistics, as of right now, it's the equivalent of 14,959.7382 BTC! Or 6,619,000 USD.

I agree, those numbers really are huge especially for such a new currency. I have a feeling it will only go up from here, especially for Rubies, as new sites and services add the currency to their sites. Also keep in mind that the total number of coin is actually not that high, especially considering the volume. Now if you also remove the 40 positions for the investors, that removes a lot of coins from the market. Price is steadily rising, and will only go up from here Smiley

Wonder there are a lot of sell order on Yobit,I believe in the longevity of Digibyte so I bought a few Digibyte and looking forward to buy more this is a great coin with a very supportive community,it's an almost community

It feels like its just a group of people or a person doing some trading. They let the price bounce between the high and low (keeping up high enough walls all the time so that they are hard to break). This way they are constantly making coins, it also allows other traders to make some coins also. I have been playing the market the whole time and i have been growing my bag for the whole time. SO anyone who is interested, time to jump in Smiley never know how long it will last.

Oh my god this Alcurex is a shit exchange, it so god damn bad. CSC really needs a new exchange, something that people would trust and use. Actully fck it, an exchange that actually works. Nothing but delayed deposits, offline wallets, slow ass order filling. Feels like that place can also go Gox any time that they get a bit of coin in their wallets.
Sorry for the rant but it really is that bad :/
