661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will China’s $50,000 Quota Matter For Bitcoin After Jan.1? on: January 04, 2017, 11:59:36 AM
As the first day of January 2017 approaches, concerns that the yuan will likely depreciate further in the coming year because of the Chinese government’s enforced capital control may force more users seeking to move money out of the country to Bitcoin.

January 1 is when the yearly $50,000 limit that the Chinese government permits citizens as the amount of money individuals can move out of the country in a year comes to effect. This measure enables many Chinese to pull their money out of China.

http://news.8btc.com/will-chinas-50000-quota-matter-for-bitcoin-after-jan-1

I`m wondering about the btc price changes recently.

Is the bitcoin price $1050 only because of China?

If yes, there is a big problem with the bitcoin independence.

I'd imagine that the price $1082 from Coinbase and Bitstamp now is not only because from devaluation of yuan in China but is also due to demonetization in India, and the hyperinflation in Venezuela. Mainly the rally today and previous 5-6 days is coming from China and we can look the price of chinese exchange now is $1121 Bter. Therefore there is an increased demand of coins in China.
662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins have Tax?? on: January 04, 2017, 11:44:57 AM
The biggest problem in my country, which belongs in Eurozone, is the legislation about bitcoin. We follow only a regulation of European Union where bitcoin falls into a "grey" framework because according European legislation is not electronic money but something as agreement between two parties. So if I buy a car with bitcoins I really don't know how can I prove that bitcoins is money so as to pay the corresponding tax.
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your biggest bitcoin regrets? on: January 04, 2017, 11:33:02 AM
First time I heard about bitcoin was when was at ATH and after that in December 2013 it crashed as I remember. After that I forgot it and I did not deal with bitcoin up to end of  September 2016. Then I began to read articles and a couple of books, to participate in meetings, to subscribe to forum, so on. It is obvious that I regret because I left about three years without to deal seriously with bitcoin world
664  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do you plan to sell? on: January 04, 2017, 09:26:59 AM
What is your exit point? Where will you sell your coins? How much % of your stack will you sell?

I strongly suggest that bitcoin at first is a currency and secondly is an asset. So every time I  use btcs I am in and out. But for people think bitcoin is a commodity the time to sell depends when they had bought the most of their coins. Imo people bought their coins one year or more ago and had as barrier the $1000 have already sold at least the half of their stash the previous month.
665  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do you think is a good time to start trading ? on: January 04, 2017, 09:10:43 AM
Trading is a very complicated process and someone must read articles and/or books in order to determine his trading style and develop his plan. In addition he must be active everyday and very well prepared. It is important to mention that trade is not a business "set and forget" or "9 to 5" not for everyone. Are you willing to do this?

668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: January 03, 2017, 11:00:01 PM
I don't necessarily think that at this very moment competition is a good thing. I think the people need a coin that they can understand, they can trust, and they can adopt. Maybe in the future competition will be good, but for now I think it's necessary for one coin and one coin only to introduce the world to crypto currency. If more coins come along, that's of course never a bad thing.

I strongly agree with GMPoison opinion. This is not the time to have a competition in the sense of antagonism between currencies. Instead of it a healthy competition, in the sense of fair play would lead the crypto currencies to be done day by day better and earning mass adoption of people worldwide.
669  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin is Legal in India, What about your country? Check here. on: January 03, 2017, 08:21:32 PM
My country belongs to the European Union and for this reason has adopted corresponding European Directive under which the legal framework is very unclear. The prevailing view is that bitcoin  is not money in the narrow sense but a way of transaction and an agreement between two parties. In this light of view cannot considered as money.
670  Other / Off-topic / Re: world without bitcoins......!!!1 on: January 03, 2017, 08:02:24 PM
As I understand OP states that would be difficult for him to earn money online if nobody had find out bitcoin. On the other side, I’m pretty confident that the world would be really poor if 8 years ago people didn't implement their idea about an online payment system from peer to peer without the need of a trusted third party using the online distributed ledger, said blockchain. This is the most revolutionary and innovative idea in financial science and man or group of people who published the bitcoin whitepaper https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf deserve the Nobel prize
671  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is it illegal for someone to hack my BTC wallet? on: January 03, 2017, 07:15:06 PM
On my little knowledge I believe that all of the above questions @OP asked has only one answer. Proof/evidence. Someone must proof that the hacker has compromise his system. Furthermore, must proof that has legal right on these bitcoins because hacker can claim that he owns these bitcoins and he is not a criminal. These are very difficult legal questions and an experienced attorney must be asked.

There is an attorney in the forum and @OP can ask him. But really this is a very interesting question and the four cases too.

672  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: January 03, 2017, 06:51:32 PM
I am sure nor this happen in 2022 neither 10 years later. Nowadays, internet access has only the 40% of people worldwide. Assuming that this problem is overcome using networks of mobile phone. How anybody can persuade billions of people many of them are not familiar not only with bitcoin but with any form of  technology generally  that their money are in a online distributed ledger? I am very curious about that. Education, patience and time if we want mass adoption of people globally.

674  Economy / Economics / Re: Central banks cashing in on blockchain on: January 03, 2017, 04:50:44 PM
Is a very good and informative article. I had read about all of these countries and for completeness only, for members want to learn more about it in Esthonia, the independent bank LHV from June 2015 has already did an experiment using cryptographic claims (CUBER) worth 100000 euro and blockchain technology. Anyone wants to follow the link http://www.cuber.ee/en_US/news/
675  Economy / Economics / Re: Is USD being used for illegal activities? on: January 03, 2017, 04:38:46 PM
It's first time in this forum someone opened a thread if fiat money, USD, GBP, Euro does not matter, are used for illegal activities. I believe that all people, maybe only the very young ones they know that fiat money is the most favorable way for criminals to do their transactions. If someone listen media and journalists when they express their opinion about bitcoins the first thing they say is that it's used mainly for illegal activities and some they say that must be banned. I wonder before 2009 where the genesis block mined had ever anyone asked to ban fiat money? I am eager to learn.
676  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to explain what it bitcoin to a beginner? on: January 03, 2017, 04:09:48 PM
It is difficult and depends on whom you're trying to explain. You should each time to take into account the age, educational level and willingness to learn. The most difficult "students" are people have passed middle-age with low educational level but they don't wish to devote for learning more than the minimum time. These people will be forced to learn only if all the others around them are using bitcoins
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the Bank would no longer fit for the future? on: January 03, 2017, 03:56:58 PM
I think in the future, banks will dissappear, Wallet online Blockchain or Coinbase will replace Banks, we can look forward to a world in the use of virtual currency and transaction technology of Blockchain, Banks not suitable for future

We are far away from a world where banks should be disappeared. Do you believe bankers will keep their fingers crossed and wait bitcoiners to take over the keys? In addition you mention the Coibbase. I believe that you told it as a joke. Do you know coinbase policy and complaints of its customers? http://www.complaintsboard.com/coinbase-b125588 and http://bittrust.org/coinbase and many others if you spend a few minutes to search.
678  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How to use a Bitcoin Hardware Wallet - Ledger Nano S on: January 03, 2017, 02:54:04 PM
This is nice product, but the question is how safe this wallet is, because it works like USB - probably any USB malware can destroy it. The second question is - how altcoins wallets are working all together. Not all altcoins wallets works perfectly.
yes there is always a chance to be lost all your data, i think, therefore you will always need to keep a copy of all your data somewhere else.

No only the private keys you need to know. Probably nor them, only the seed that is the passphrase where can import in any other wallet say electrum. But you could take a look at their support site and decide http://support.ledgerwallet.com/help_center
679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins Investment: risk or benefit? on: January 03, 2017, 02:42:55 PM
To my point of view is a small risk for a big benefit. Assuming that you buy now to invest in the same place as with fiat money it's the same risk but for sure you have at least near to zero fees. If investment for somebody is hoarding, then after eight years bitcoin has gain enough maturity compared the alt coins and is not inflationary as fiat money. So the risk is very low.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamling with a high risk and high rewards or low risk and low rewards? on: January 03, 2017, 02:27:26 PM
Always my economic transactions are made in the light of conservatism and the very careful selection and after thorough checking. So my choice in gambling could not have been different. With this in mind I choose the second option.
