681  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: The economy can make mining unprofitable. on: August 10, 2023, 10:16:15 PM
Before choosing to start mining bitcoins, it is good to consider the economy of your country and the state that it is in before you decide to either invest in mining or just buy and keep bitcoins.

In an unstable economy, the cost of things is not stable, and they can easily hike and affect your ability to continue in mining especially when you are new to it. The cost of electricity which is very important factor for mining can easily go higher in an unstable economy that it begins to affect mining activities and make profit reduce. As the cost of electricity increases, the cost of maintenance also increases.

In an unstable economy that is already performing bad also, there will be hardship and more people will become more likely to turn to crime. If you were running your mining activity in such an environment, your safety is questionable because you can be robbed, and your equipment stolen.

Knowing and understanding the state of your country's economy will help you to decide whether to go into mining or just buy and keep bitcoins. Mining is not always profitable.

In fact, in most scenarios, mining is unprofitable. You either need very cheap electricity or huge scale of operation and latest hardware (or both) to become profitable.

Now in many countries electricity is getting more expensive due to inflation or sanctions against Russia and ban on Russia's fossils.

Congratulations on your new business and on taking a bold step in promoting Bitcoin in your locality.
I will recommend you use Electrum wallet, either desktop or mobile wallet; it's easier to use, and you can confirm incoming transactions from your customer even when the transaction is still undergoing confirmation. By so doing, you won't delay any of your customers.
Could you please elaborate on that? Is this some new feature added in the latest release?

Quote from: Nwada001
Some customers out there are also mostly centralized exchange users who mostly use exchanges as a secure means of storing their crypto. If you come across such customers, then I will recommend that you use Binance Pay, that is, if you have one to receive the payment. which you will return to your private wallet immediately, it's confirm to avoid delay.
A fast and successful business transaction brings in more positive feedback for the business.
I second that. Binance Pay is a nice feature and if you have ordered a Binance Card you can spend these funds right away if needed.

Honestly speaking is anyone really so surprised by Tsitsi and Rune exits? Seeding and ranking aside I can't see these two as serious contenders and I think we are netter served seeing their opponrnts progress.

Sinner, I like, Ruud, while nor a fan, should make it to semis but Alcaraz will fancy himself any day over all these -- call me an underestimator too but once more, ranking aside, Medvedev is probably the weakest finalist along the seeds left and I would prefer to see someone else against Alca.

Nope, bit surprised with Tsitsipas bowing out early in the competition, a bit surprised
that it was against Monfils though.

And also surprised with Rune being beaten by Giron again so early in the competition.

I agree that as it stands Alcaraz is kind of a finalist guarantee. No chat about
Medvedev so far, he plays Musetti and is favourite to win @ 1.15 or 1.55 with -3.5 handicap
He is on his favourite surface now after all...

Seeded #2 definitely one to watch

Watching Medvedev v Musetti right now. Perhaps a nice opportunity to place a late bet. Medvedev is up 6:4, 3:2 and chances look great for him. I placed my bet before the match started and it's on the Russian. Hard is Daniil's favourite surface after all...

Until Ukraine showed who really controls the situation in the Black Sea Smiley But now the terrorist country has problems with grain and oil delivery from its southern ports (Krasnodar region). Since Ukraine, officially, having responded symmetrically to the aggressor, considers ALL ships flying the Russian flag or going to Russian ports as weapons carriers. That means they can be destroyed within the framework of official and according to conventions.

Russia tried to spin a new scheme, similar to what it did with oil and gas - to monopolize grain supplies (we will destroy the Ukrainian channel of supplies to the world market), but.... expectedly shot itself in the knee. Ukraine supplies grain, and Russia, which recently squealed and sputtered how it will now destroy all ships going to Ukrainian ports - but, expectedly, except for hysterics - can do nothing.... A pacifier, a fake - what else is there to say about Russia? Smiley

PS There is no propaganda in Ukraine, you are confusing it with your usual environment, it happens, don't worry Smiley.

OMG LMAO that was hilarious! I suggest you to start your own comedy show ASAP! You should be damn good as a stand-up comedian!  Grin

686  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: August 09, 2023, 09:09:50 PM
Russian terrorism, as expected, has done what is known as "shooting itself in the foot" ....

Russia's grain export problems began after the Ukrainian attack on Novorossiysk.
Russian grain exporters are facing increasing difficulties in exporting their products to world markets amid an escalating situation in the Black Sea, where the Russian military attacked Ukrainian ports on the Danube and the AFU responded with an attack on Novorossiysk.
Grain traders, ocean carriers and insurers are increasingly wary of dealing with Russian counterparties and have sharply increased freight rates for them, as well as insurance fees, Reuters reported, citing sources in shipping and trading companies.

Insurance for grain carriers bound for Novorossiysk and Taman, which account for 70% of Russia's grain exports, costs tens of thousands of dollars more per day than for similar ships bound for Romania or Bulgaria, the agency's sources said.
And before the Kremlin pulled out of the grain deal, such insurance required paying a "risk premium" of about $10,000 a day. But after the Ukrainian strikes, the stakes have risen even higher, Reuters sources said.
The escalation in the Black Sea will hit Russian exports as shipping companies are already wary of sending their ships to Russian ports, especially newer, larger vessels, according to two of the agency's interlocutors.

After pulling out of the grain deal, Russia said it would consider any merchant ships entering Ukraine a legitimate military target. Kiev responded with a similar warning and launched maritime drone strikes against ships near Novorossiysk.
On the night of August 4, the large military landing ship Olenegorsk Miner was damaged, the fourth BDC to come under Ukrainian attack since the start of the war. On the night of August 5, a kamikaze drone attacked the tanker Sig near Kerch.

This further increases the risks for shipowners, at least three of whom have already stopped carrying Russian grain, while others must constantly calculate the risks of sanctions. This is not easy, given that the ownership structure of ports in Russia is opaque and many fear that their ultimate owners could be sub-sanctioned individuals, said Mike Salthouse, head of external affairs at insurer North Standard.

Even refueling at a Russian port could turn out to be a sanctions violation, another senior industry executive said. "What kind of normal trade are we talking about?" - He lamented.
Last year, Russia exported a record 60 million tons of grain with the help of major Western traders Cargill, Louis Dreyfus and Viterra. But all of them announced their withdrawal from the Russian market on July 1.
https://www.moscowtimes.ru/2023/08/08/u-rossii-nachalis-problemi-s-eksportom-zerna-posle-udarov-ukraini-po-novorossiisku-a51405

Russia has no issues with exporting grain. Can you point me to the statistics saying otherwise? Insurance going up doesn't mean exports shrink. It merely means the price of grain is going up. Which in turn means Russia earning more.

Will the grain siege and price increase mean millions in poor countries dying of hunger? Hardly, take a look at top countries buying Ukrainian grain: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1333847/ukrainian-agricultural-exports-via-the-black-sea-by-country/

As you can see top buyers are extremely poor countries with severely malnutritioned population facing inevitable famine. Global hunger is no joke.  Grin Grin Grin

Btw, you should study your own source propaganda article closer:

Quote
International companies now have almost no cooperation with Russia, and "transportation is mainly carried out by Russian traders using ships that international companies will not even touch," a source told Reuters.

We are talking about old, scrapped bulk carriers, which are often more than 30 years old - they make up the "shadow fleet" for the export of Russian grain, similar to what Moscow has collected for oil trade in circumvention of sanctions.

In recent months, Russia has had to search for more ships on its own and rely more and more on the "shadow fleet" of grain carriers, which are operated by Turkish and Chinese companies, sources tell Reuters.

So in fact grain export is not going to stop, it's just the Western forwarders are taking the hit. It's not even a "double-sided sword" as you prefer saying it's a freaking suicide.

For example 20 years ago when Bush decided that America should declare war against 7 countries because they had a lot of natural resources

Hmm... I apologize if this is the way it is in your community. BUT, UH.

Do you really think that the speech of retired General Wesley Clark is synonymous with the phrase "Bush decided that America should declare war on 7 countries because they have a lot of natural resources"? ?  Are you serious? Did you even listen to that speech fully and carefully ?
Where is the link to Bush's OFFICIAL statement or speech ? What does Wesley Clark's speech have to do with completely different issues and events ?
? Or did I not notice that Bush stood behind Wesley Clark and discreetly said into the microphone "America should declare war on 7 countries because they have a lot of natural resources" ? ?  Grin

Please - either correct the post, or try to logically get out of this situation and prove that the speech of General Wesley Clark is an exact copy of Bush's order "America must declare war on 7 countries because they have a lot of natural resources".
Third option - you habitually lie and manipulate information, hoping that no one will check  Grin Grin Grin

Oh I see DrTroll is employing a new tactic: "please give me the EXACT quote".  Grin Grin That's childish. And what if one word doesn't match? It didn't happen? Even more childish is to expect that the US president will say that in public. But he definitely implied that and the actions which followed prove that. A bit overlooked event: Wozniacki's return on tour at Montreal Canadian Open. Exciting match today against an Aussie Kim Birrell. Caro won the match without much effort 6:2, 6:2. She is playing the same tennis she used to play before the pause: she is ultra-defensive, trying to get every ball in. She is going to face Marketa Vondrousova or  Mayar Sherif in the second round.
689  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Huobi - the new trouble spot of the crypto world ? on: August 08, 2023, 06:35:55 AM
I strongly believe people spreading such FUD are anti-Bitcoin and anti-crypto. You can always find some dirt on any CEX or crypto personality. Like in any other business (big business) there are very few persons who are morally upright, fair and all that. It's a rat race, if you expect someone to care about other people you're naive and childish.

But spreading such FUD can hurt Bitcoin. There are lots of noobs panic selling on such news. As the latest events in the world showed us - propaganda influences 70-80% of people so you have to be responsible!  Cool
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin recover even if it fell to one dollar? on: August 07, 2023, 01:25:12 PM
How low would Bitcoin have to fall before it was no longer recoverable?

Price, in my opinion, would not dictate this. It would have to be something that would destroy the foundation and system on which it is built.

what you say?

Yes, I guess you're right. I honestly can't think of an event which could potentially lead to Bitcoin going to $1. Or actually not: I can think of many such catastrophic events but in case it happens you wouldn't care about Bitcoin price much. Like for example nuclear war or asteroid hitting Earth, alien invasion etc. In most cases, an unexpectedly long internet outage (like from a powerful solar flare for example) may lead to Bitcoin dropping really low, I'm just not sure if it could reach $1 but that would be nasty.
691  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: August 06, 2023, 08:12:15 PM
Oh man, so you finally admit the West is going to feel the consequences of the sanctions they introduced? And there's going to be a drop in the standard of living? Blind man starting to see? Grin

Anyway, you mentioned that Ukraine is not letting Russia go further? Can you provide any source to support your claim? Or is the source SOMA (straight outta my ass) as always?

You need to think not about the fact that my eyes opened, but about the fact that your brain did not turn on Smiley
To begin with, point me to at least one of my posts where I wrote that the West will not feel negative consequences for itself as a result of the imposition of sanctions? If you don’t provide it, you are once again a simple, cheap, primitive liar Smiley

That's easy! Every second post of yours: particularly I can remember the discussion regarding huge energy bills and the wave of bankruptcies in Germany (you can find that discussion in Economy section) where in every post you denied any effect on the West caused by the sanctions. According to you, the West was flourishing and Russia was suffering.  Grin

Quote from: DrBeer
And the second part of the answer:
And if you listen to Russian state terrorists, they have been screaming for 2 years that "we want to return the Kremlin power, including the squares of the Warsaw Pact countries." Or did you not listen to the international criminal Putin? I also recommend listening to the hysterical chauvinist statements of the Russian Foreign Ministry in 2022 Smiley Here the other day, the Kremlin's miserable dwarf, came up with and voiced a new nonsense - they say the USSR gave Poland its territories, and, as it were, hinted that since the USSR gave it, then Russia can take away the gift ....
This is me about the fact that today it is Ukraine that successfully grinds the two-legged meat and iron of the "second army of the world" on its territory, stopping this brown stream, not letting it go to the west ...

Here, by the way, I can predict a little - in the near future, with sufficient probability, provocations will begin from Belarus, towards the Polish side, or towards the Baltic countries. Whether it will be PMC Wagner, or another crowd of "refugees" that Russia brings to itself from Asian countries and then transports to Belarus, I cannot predict. But these events are very likely.
Target ? The goal is simple - losing in the war to Ukraine, Russia needs to create a picture in which "great Russia" will lose not to Ukraine, but to NATO, for example. Poland is a member of NATO. And there will begin the next "horror stories" about the Kremlin clown, they say, nuclear ashes, and other nonsense. In a word - an attempt to avoid a miserable, shameful loss Smiley

Nobody cares what you predict or to what conclusions you have arrived after listening to Putin or whoever else. You just have to provide the sources to prove it happened in real life not in your imagination. You claimed that Ukraine is preventing Russia from going further West and/or attacking other countries. I asked for a proof. You came up with two paragraphs of gibberish and speculations with no links to your sources. If you fail to provide the sources the credibility of your posts equals ZERO.

Washington DC WTA final: Sakkari v Gauff. My bet will be on the American in this one. Sakkari has been playing really well so far. Frankly, I was surprised she defeated Pegula in the semifinal. But final is a different story: we all know Sakkari has a final phobia and only won a single title in her career back in 2019. Additionally, Gauff is an American and will be doing her best to win a title on her home soil.
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be rich sheeple or free people, what's your choice? on: August 06, 2023, 07:27:31 AM
I was at the beach after having my evening half rack, same boring night walk scavenging for forgotten or used fleshlights and I was thinking, what if instead of one of those magic toys I get my macho pride stuck in a genie bottle? But after hitting the genie so hard in his head probably he will only be able to grant me one wish, and that on shitty conditions, what if I asked him to make me richer then Satoshi but I'd have to choose:

- Bitcoin gets accepted everywhere, every government legalizes it, all mining is centralized, everyone must register every address with the local IRS, you're not allowed to send money outside legal addresses and miners are refusing those, every single transfer is taxed, the government can decide at any point to seize your coins and can do that with ease. BUT the value will go up 1000x times to 30 big ones!
- Bitcoin is not legal tender, but the genie makes it so that the government has no way and no intention of making any move against it, nobody is banning you from owning, nobody is taxing you, nobody cares about your KYC, AML, taxes, profit, any legal action against anything that involves Bitcoin is impossible and illegal, any seizure impossible as it would break the law, you're as free as one can be. But the price stays forever at $30,000.

No middle way, no trick, no further questions, no this or that, your choice and tell me why this and not that!

That intro, bro...  Grin

Anyways, I think the very idea of Bitcoin and Satoshi's vision was to be free of any limitations. Both options you offered have limits, very serious limits I should say. Total government control is unacceptable for Bitcoin it kind of defeats the whole idea of Bitcoin, but so is the price limit, because Bitcoin was designed to be deflationary and only be worth more So, what I'd do in this case? Most probably I'd quit Bitcoin, cash out etc. Bitcoin won't be so fun and exciting for me anymore...
694  Economy / Economics / Re: Food security in the world has been shaken by Russia's actions on: August 05, 2023, 09:19:05 PM

It's not a personal insult: if you can't provide facts to support your statements, provide fake or one-sided info it means you're a propagandist shill. For example, you claimed that Ukraine has wiped out the entire Russian army and it's pretty easy to fact-check this info. According to Wikipedia:

Quote
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Russian: Boopyжённыe Cи́лы Poccи́йcкoй Фeдepáции, Vooružjonnyje Síly Rossíjskoj Federácii), commonly referred to as the Russian Armed Forces, are the military of Russia. In terms of active-duty personnel, they are the world's fifth-largest military force, with 1.15 million

So, making ridiculous statements like this only makes you look like a complete bozo and you're losing credibility in the eyes of people reading your posts.

Next, you're bragging about hitting an old military cargo ship built in 1976! and a civilian vessel but Ukraine has much bigger issues to consider atm. Like losing 43k people and almost all armaments provided by the west in a few short weeks and not gaining anything really territory-wise in it's "counter-offensive".

I've mentioned this already and I'll do it again: I'm not Russian, I don't live in Russia and I don't support Russia. I don't give a damn about Russia and it's future. But I hate lies and will do anything to expose it.  Cool
Earlier, I pointed out that Russia lost almost the entire invading army in Ukraine (and not the entire Russian army), that is, approximately 180 thousand people who invaded Ukraine on February 22, 2022 in armored vehicles and formed the backbone of the Russian regular army. This invasion group - eight Russian armies - has been fighting in Ukraine for almost a year and a half, and given that the units have already been replenished with recruits 6-8 times, only a few of those who initially entered Ukraine managed to survive.

According to the Russian telegram channel “General SVR”, irretrievable losses (that is, only those killed and missing on the Ukrainian front) as of July 3 amounted to 307,703 people. Of these, 233,573 are regular army personnel and 74,130 are from various PMCs. These figures were reported to Putin a month ago.
If we proceed from the fact that on July 3, the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided data on the killed 230,260 Russians, and today - 249,110, then this figure will be even higher. The ratio of killed to wounded is usually one to three. This is a common practice for counting casualties in war. If you multiply the number of irretrievable losses according to the Russian Defense Ministry by three, you get about a million more wounded Russians. Thus, the number of those killed, wounded and missing in the war in Ukraine is approximately 1.2 - 1.3 million. Therefore, speaking of a million Russian losses, I already underestimated a little.

Look, you either have memory issues or you are retarded. Here's your previous post in this topic:

I tend to think it's the latter, because you're typing bullshit from safety of your home instead of protecting your Motherland from the trenches in Donbas.

Quote from: Ozero

An old military cargo ship, built in 1976, I presume, you mean the large landing ship "Olenegorsky miner" that was damaged yesterday at the port of Novorossiysk?
Indeed, it was built at that time and given its serious age, in 2016 it was sent to JSC "33 SRZ" in the city of Baltiysk for a major overhaul, and as it turned out later - for modernization. As the press service of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation reported, during the time it was in the repair dock, a significant part of the armament and equipment was modernized on the ship.
The displacement of the ship is 4080 tons, while the length of the BDK is 112.5 m, the width is 15 m and the draft is 3.7 m.
The ship is equipped with:
- two launchers PU MS-73 MLRS A-215 "Grad-M" caliber 122 mm with a range of fire up to 21 km.,
- two twin 57-mm guns AK-725 with remote guidance with a range of up to 13 kilometers;
- one AK-176 installation with a firing range of up to 12 kilometers;
- two AK-630M installations with a firing range of over 8 km;
- four launchers of the Strela-2 portable anti-aircraft missile system.
As you can see, this is a rather large ship with formidable weapons, although it turned out to be defenseless in front of the sea  drone.

The Russian tanker SIG, which was attacked today near the Kerch Strait, is also not exactly a civilian vessel.  This is one of the largest Russian oil tankers, which is capable of carrying almost 5,000 tons of fuel.  In 2019, SIG was sanctioned by the United States for supplying aviation fuel to Syria for a group of Russian troops supporting the dictatorial regime of Bashar al-Assad.
At the same time, it should be taken into account that at the time of the attack, the SIG tanker was in the territorial waters of Ukraine.

Formidable weapons? Another lie! It's just a Navy version of Grad MLRS (designed in 1950s) and a couple of machine guns!  Grin Grin Grin
695  Economy / Economics / Re: Food security in the world has been shaken by Russia's actions on: August 05, 2023, 07:35:55 AM

So what are these options? Could you come up with a list of a least 5 products or industries which can be sanctioned? I personally can't think of any.

Sovereignty? You must be kidding! Ukraine lost it's independence back in 2014 after the Maidan coup. Right now, it's being heavily subsidized by the west both financially and militarily. Around 40% of Ukraine's budget is foreign aid. Do you really think all these billions in aid are being given away for free? The US is in fact at war with Russia right now. Except for no Americans are dying, no bleeding-edge arms are being destroyed etc etc. It's called a proxy war.

Russia has lost a million people? Muahahaha... too much propaganda is bad for your brain (if you have one that is). The entire Russian army, including the non-military personnel is around 1 million. So, I guess, Ukraine has wiped out the Russian army completely!  Grin Grin Grin

I love these lying propagandist shills, they're so funny!  Grin
I understand that when the opponents do not have enough reasoned facts, they turn to personal insults. Therefore, I will not comment on them. You should worry not about the future of Ukraine, but about the future of your Russia.

In addition, Russia should think about negotiations on its "oil" corridor. Yesterday's damage to the large landing ship "Olenegorsky miner" in the port of Novorossiysk and today's attack of marine drones on the sanctioned Russian tanker Sig near the Kerch Strait confirm this.

It's not a personal insult: if you can't provide facts to support your statements, provide fake or one-sided info it means you're a propagandist shill. For example, you claimed that Ukraine has wiped out the entire Russian army and it's pretty easy to fact-check this info. According to Wikipedia:

WTA Washington DC: Sakkari v Keys just finished. Maria won this one quite easily 6:3, 6:3 despite this match being the second match of the day for her. Keys was favoured by the bookies but yet she didn't manage to show any resistance against the Greek. Maria is going to meet Pegula in the semi.

Earlier today, last year's winner Samsonova defeated Kostyuk in straight sets 6:4, 6:2.
697  Economy / Economics / Re: War: who benefits and how! on: August 04, 2023, 10:02:46 PM
About "benefits".
Recently ended the summit, organized by the country-terrorist Russia. The goal is to gather at least someone who could be called "friends" of the outcast country. For understanding - 2/3 of those invited disdained to come.
To begin with, I will quote the words of M. Zakharova, the press drunkard of the Russian Foreign Ministry, "our guys are dying in Ukraine, defending the freedoms of Africa and the whole world." This is certainly not about the economy, it's about neglected psychiatry Smiley
Who doubts - answer a simple question. How did "Ivan" from Syzran, who came to Ukraine to destroy and kill, and in the end was expectedly destroyed, and now lies somewhere in the fields of Ukraine, helped African countries? Smiley
But back to the "benefits"!
If you watched this freak show, there is one person who looks like an international criminal V.V. Putin, on behalf of Russia, promised, in exchange for friendship, the countries of Africa - GRAIN. Free of charge.
Slightly depart from this fact, and remember another. Until 2022, the largest supplier of grain to African countries was... Let's remember... Ukraine! Yes, someone will now refer to the recent "information stuffing" that states that "Ukraine did not supply grain to African countries, but only to rich and well-fed Europeans." Moreover, these stuffing somehow surprisingly coincided with the beginning of Russian attempts to destroy the port and logistics system of Ukraine, which was responsible for grain supplies.
Fact 2: Before the start of a new wave of terrorist attacks, Ukraine was the largest supplier of grain for African countries and other, not very rich countries. This is easy to check.
Fact 3. Having destroyed cities, villages, agricultural holdings, losses and logistics in the south of Ukraine, Russia GUARANTEED the impossibility of Ukrainian grain supplies to African countries!
Fact 4. Since 2022, Russia, having occupied the southern and eastern regions of Ukraine, began to systematically steal grain! Hundreds of thousands of tons stored in elevators, storage facilities, and prepared for shipment.

And back to the benefits. As a result, we get - Russia attacked Ukraine. Thus, provoking a huge risk of famine in African countries, due to the inability of Ukraine to send grain to these countries. Russia stole this grain. And now he is trying to buy friendship from some African countries for STOLEN grain!

Are you saying that this is not true? Russia will give YOUR grain? I will disappoint you! Yes, Russia has large grain crops. BUT! Grain remains so far the only resource that has not fallen under sanctions and brings hard currency. Yes, yes - Russia sells its grain to developed countries, but not to African ones. Therefore, the stolen grain from Ukraine has become "charitable". I immediately answer the question - no, Russia cannot sell it to developed countries, because. the origin of the grain is easy to determine and with a high probability it will be sent back, and they will also write out a fine!

Here is such a benefit, Russian - theft, lies, an attempt to buy friendship for food Smiley

And some statistics for understanding trade with Africa, or rather "its savior - Russia"
Trade with African countries:
EU - $415 billion
China - $212 billion
United States - $68 billion
Türkiye - $32 billion
Savior of Africa, Russia - 10 billion dollars !!!! : Grin Grin Grin Grin

PS
Zimbabwe - disdained ALIEN, STOPPED grain and refused!
The President of South Africa said that they did not come for gifts, but to solve the problems of the grain program, which was spawned by Russia

Could you provide the links to your sources? However, I think I already know the answer... certainly you can't because it's a lie. Quickly running through the list you provided I can see some numbers are completely off  (up to 100%). Please fix and stop spreading lies.

The world community should strengthen sanctions against Russia in order for it to stop its military aggression against Ukraine, as well as send its warships to the Black Sea to ensure the established order in this region. Russia understands only strength, it considers any concessions and compromises a sign of weakness.

But since the international community reacts very weakly to terrorist attacks by the Russian Black Sea Fleet on the ports of Ukraine and its critical infrastructure, Ukraine itself is forced to pacify the aggressor.

Haven't the US and EU already exhausted their sanctions against Russia? Millions of sanctions have been put in place and what more could you want? But they seem to repeatedly fail to contain Russia because of their subjectivity. I don't support war, but why don't you think that the cause of the war is on the Ukrainian side? If they do not resolutely join Nato and do not listen to the instigation of others, nothing will happen. Just stop intending to join Nato, sit at the negotiating table, everything will stop, but there seems to be a larger force that does not want Ukraine to stop for their sake.

Moreover, the US and Nato are doing their best to help Ukraine but it seems that things are not going as they expected and you are starting to criticize the international community just because of the weakness of the EU and Ukraine?
The United States, European countries and other states still have a lot of additional options regarding the application of sanctions against Russia in order to force it to adhere to the UN Charter. Regarding Ukraine's possible acceptance of Russia's demands that Ukraine not join NATO, this is only one of the many far-fetched reasons for a military invasion of Ukraine. The Putin regime wants Ukraine to cease to exist as a state, and Ukrainians did not consider themselves a nation. Therefore, for the presence of Ukrainian symbols in the occupied territories, Russians torture and kill Ukrainians.

But on the other hand: does your country, where you live, ask its neighboring states what to do and what unions to join? I am sure not, because it means that your state does not have sovereignty. So why are you pushing Ukraine to become dependent on Russia, which has now brought about 380,000 of its soldiers into Ukraine and is shelling and killing civilians every day?

For Ukrainians, there is no other way but to kill all the invaders who invaded its territory with weapons in their hands. Russia has already lost about a million people killed, wounded and missing in Ukraine. And no matter how many millions of Russian meat the Kremlin sends to Ukraine, the result will be the same.

Grin

So, it turns out Soviet Union collapsed because of the western sanctions? Mkaaaay  Grin Grin Grin

I'm not even sure what sanctions you mean? The 1980 grain embargo?  Grin Grin Grin

Indeed, life can be hard with a room temperature IQ...  Grin

That you didn't get it, that's pretty much expected Smiley
Now finish your hysterics, take your history books and start reading and studying. And stop accepting what so painfully distorts reality in your brain Smiley
And don't tell me, a resident of the USSR, fairy tales about what happened at that time, why and how it ended.
Or...no... And tell your version of "REALITY" about the history of the collapse of the USSR ? Very interesting reading will be, I'm sure ! Smiley Only preferably with figures, indicators, and facts ? I agree to your figures, facts - it will be much funnier !

I'll try to model your behavior: tell me, by the way - why do you wear skis and a short coat at home, over which you put a T-shirt, and put a gas stove in the refrigerator to cook food? Smiley

PS about IQ, I'm told by a man with a constant perfectly even line of encepholagram of the brain !  Grin

Haha, so why don't you tell us all forum users what really happened and what was the reason USSR collapsed? Please please enlighten us! Would be great if you'd use some links to sources.

Don't send me to history books - no history book mentions western sanctions as the reason why it happened. They would say something like "people were tired of communism, planned economy and wanted change, freedom etc" but in reality I'm sure USSR got destroyed with some help from the 3 letter agencies by supporting national movements in the republics and local Russian liberal democrats.

I could only make out a portion of what you were saying. The remaining part is some completely unintelligible gibberish. Perhaps you can discuss skiing at home and cooking in a fridge with your fellow psychiatric facility patients. I'm sure that'll be fun!  Cool

You are delusional to think that sanctions can help fight Russia.
Sanctions have worked to an extent, but I don't believe sanctions can make Russia stop the war. This looks like a war in that the ego plays a very big role. Neither Russia nor Ukraine nor NATO would want to agree that they've been defeated.
Without the sanctions, Russia would have been able to do more harm to its enemies through economic means and otherwise. At this point, they're just looking for ways to survive whatever sanction that gets thrown at them and they've been managing well so far.

Even if ruble will go to zero, Russia would still continue producing tanks and rockets and paying their military.

The ruble can't go to zero but I get your point. If the ruble goes to zero that would mean inflation will be at about 200% and no country can fight a war and win with that kind of inflation. The price of everything would be so expensive that they would be forced to turn their focus on the economy instead of war.

Let me remind you of history:
USSR being a more progressive and technologically advanced country. In a sense, the USSR had a self-sufficient economy.
The USSR was not technologically backward like modern Russia. The USSR had not only a resource economy, the level of third world countries, as now Russia has.
The USSR waged war for 10 years in Afghanistan, killing millions of Afghans and tens of thousands of its terrorists who went to kill Afghans.
The western world imposed sanctions against the USSR. and in 10 years the USSR ceased to exist !
Nothing is impossible! Especially now the position of Russia is on the back of world politics, its place has been taken by China, China benefits from stability. In fact, no one is interested in Russia, it has shat all over itself and stained itself in everything it can.
