Well, so much for alt-exchange.biz
682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RELAUNCH] SUN COIN - WIN/OSX Qts, DiceGame .. 2 EXCHANGES on: February 22, 2014, 06:50:08 AM
we are in the process of updating to the latest litecoin sources and adding the KGW (Kimoto's Gravity Well)

Please stand by... this will raise the price soon Smiley and fix anyone with wallet issues.

FYI: We are aiming for a hard fork at block 25000 if we can get the updated client out in time for everyone to upgrade before the fork
We are definitely stuck in a rut diff-wise right now.

PityThePool is ready to upgrade when the new wallet is out, just PM me here or email support@pitythepool.com

I pity the fool who isn't mining SunCoin right now  Cool
683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PIR] ---- PirateCoin | Exchange listed ---- Arrr! on: February 22, 2014, 05:56:25 AM
Arrr... It be time to be tradin' on the new exchange.
Get yer sorry arses over there and make this coin look alive!

http://alt-exchange.biz
i think one exchange is enough, personally im tired signing up in each and every exchange/altcoin lol
its like an old internet every site has a signup, but today you just need a facebook accnt/google and you can pretty much use in all site

This is the only exchange. Cryptotc really doesn't count. And this one won't count either if nobody puts any orders up. If you know of somewhere else where people are actively buying and selling Pirate, I'd be happy to hear it.

I agree, CryptOTC is more like a Craigslist for altcoins.

Although, alt-exchange.biz isn't much better.  There are SO MANY new exchanges that have popped up since the first of the year.  Some look promising (allcrypt.com, mintpal.com, poloniex.com) but most are crap.  Alt-exchange.biz definitely fits into the latter category.

CoinedUp would be a great one to get listed on.  I think they have a subreddit for adding new coins?

686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MEOW] KittehCoin Relaunch IS HERE!!!! on: February 20, 2014, 11:18:33 PM
Looking to buy some bitcoins to trade to meow, mining them is to slow now.

What exchange do you guys use, and what method to buy the coins ? ie: bank transfer, paypal Huh??

How long to deposit usd to get coins ?

I do not want ads, looking for some info from trusted members with experience.

Gotta buy some meow, now...

Easiest way I have found to buy BTC with $USD is http://www.coinbase.com

Unfortunately, takes several days to get setup.  Have to verify identity, bank account, etc.  Then, your first BTC purchase takes about 5 days to clear the bank.  But once you're through the initial setup stuff, it's a piece of cake.  I can buy $1,000 of BTC per week with no waiting at all, instant buy and instant sell.

Piratecoin has been added to alt-exchange.biz, WOOT!!!

Only problem is they got the symbol wrong - should be PIR

PTC is PesetaCoin
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RELAUNCH] SUN COIN - WIN/OSX Qts, DiceGame .. MORE POOLS NEEDED! on: February 17, 2014, 12:36:02 PM
Is pitythepool running
I mine since 30 minutes. Cgmioner shows found blocks and i also found blocks for the pool.
But no coins are shown. Also no new blocks are shown in the list.

Yes, everything is working fine.  Database is playing catch-up a little bit.  Payouts should be shown shortly.
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RELAUNCH] SUN COIN - WIN/OSX Qts, DiceGame .. MORE POOLS NEEDED! on: February 17, 2014, 11:42:57 AM
it seems front end of sun.pitythepool.com  is down, right? or it is just me?

Sorry for the trouble, working out some disk drive issues.  http://sun.pitythepool.com is back online.
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RigHound - remotely manage all your mining rigs on: February 16, 2014, 08:25:54 PM
Update:
Rig status/hashrate/pool info now updating automagically behind the scenes every 60 seconds.  It's a little bit unreliable - maybe 5% of the time it will report a rig down when it's really not, but I'm working on improving this.  The "Refresh status" link is still there if you really want up-to-the-second stats, but will likely be removed once I'm confident the auto-refreshing is working solid.

Coming soon:
Various UI improvements
User-defined threshold-based alerting mechanism (text msg/email alerts)

All this NAT & port-forwarding stuff with your firewall/router sucks.  I'm probably going to build an agent that runs on your local network to handle communicating with your miners, this will require *no* firewall configuration, just fire it up on any machine on LAN and remotely control all miners on that network.

If you're unsure, PityThePool! is running on new KGW wallet 0.8.6.2 - we could use the hashrate!

693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RELAUNCH] SUN COIN - NEW QTs, NEW CODE, WORKING POOLS - EXCHANGE COMING on: February 15, 2014, 04:31:31 AM
If that does not work, try deleting everything including your wallet (make a copy first of course), put the conf file there and see if it syncs.  If it syncs this way, then replace the wallet.dat with your backup copy.

Unfortunately if this is what it takes, chances are your wallet is toast.  Coins may be on wrong fork.
694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RELAUNCH] SUN COIN - NEW QTs, NEW CODE, WORKING POOLS - EXCHANGE COMING on: February 15, 2014, 04:27:42 AM
See the OP, there is a sample suncoin.conf file there.  Delete everything except wallet.dat again and try placing this conf in your roaming folder and see if that works.
695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RELAUNCH] SUN COIN - NEW QTs, NEW CODE, WORKING POOLS - EXCHANGE COMING on: February 15, 2014, 02:28:28 AM
You can try deleting everything from your roaming folder EXCEPT wallet.dat, and make sure you use the addnodes from the op.  Sounds like your peer list might be full of bad ones.
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RELAUNCH] SUN COIN - NEW QTs, NEW CODE, WORKING POOLS - EXCHANGE COMING on: February 15, 2014, 01:02:07 AM
To resync your wallet, you can add the --reindex parameter when you run the wallet qt.
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RELAUNCH] SUN COIN - NEW QTs, NEW CODE, WORKING POOLS - EXCHANGE COMING on: February 14, 2014, 08:19:56 PM
http://sun.c0inz.com/ is SCAM?!?
I get coins confirmed and says they are sent to my wallet but no coins in wallet

sun.c0inz.com is mining the wrong fork.  All your coins are lost if you mine at this pool.
Look at the block# they are at on the Statistics -> Pool page.
This should be the same (or one number different) as the block count at  http://explorer.suncoin.biz

http://sun.pitythepool.com is on the correct fork.  Withdrawals *will* go into your wallet.

PityThePool has block explorer enabled so you can click and confirm the hash for each block found against the SunCoin block explorer at http://explorer.suncoin.biz/

PityThePool loves your business but we NEED MORE POOLS to spread the hashrate around, so we don't inadvertently cause another fork.
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DUCK]DuckDuckCoin - Kimoto Gravity Well - Genesis Egg Recovered! on: February 14, 2014, 07:25:40 PM

sun.pitythepool.com block confirmations reduced to 30 for faster payouts - Happy Mining!
700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RELAUNCH] SUN COIN - NEW QTs, NEW CODE, WORKING POOLS - MINE NOW! on: February 14, 2014, 06:46:37 PM
thanks
i just create another one with new email

edit: is the nethash number accurate in the pool?

I believe it is, yes.  When there are only 1 or 2 pools mining a coin, and the hashrate is growing rapidly, it is not that unusual for the pool's total hashrate to exceed the network hashrate reported by the wallet (wallet lags behind a bit).  Eventually, they should even out.
