How can this coin possibly survive long-term? 10 minute block times, 2 week retarget just like Bitcoin. This coin will get insta-mined like crazy at low diff, then stuck at a high diff for months when the hashrate drops off, I guarantee it

This is great! I still believe we need to create a new ANN thread though, it will give SHAcoin better visibility
Too bad CryptoAltEx is shutting down, or I would ask Chiznitz to reopen the market

Must be still hard at work . . .

Wow, this is fantastic! MORE HASH FOR EVERYONE!

pitythe pool seems broke no blocks for almost an hour and seems last blocks found by unknown and no shares submitted for blocks. Looks like pool needs fixing. multi-pool working nice The pool is working fine, however the cron jobs take a pretty long time to update with new blocks and payout information. Not sure why, it has always been this way, the wallet is very slow responding to RPC calls.

I have a feeling this is going to be another StackCoin moment . . .

Welcome! You should really read through this thread before opening a pool. Dev says coins mined right now will not carry over to the "real" version (if or when it comes out)

Well, I can see exactly jack squat has happened here since I left several hours ago when this was supposed to launch . . . What exactly is going on?
|
|
|
Unless the new code comes out in about the next 2 minutes, PityThePool will not be ready for launch, I gotta run.
Personally I think the coin has already launched and there's nothing that he can do about it. Code is available for download, blocks are being mined, network hashrate is 81MH. Not sure how exactly he is going to magically eradicate the existing blockchain and come out with a new one in a few minutes . . . doesn't really work that way

I thought I had removed the code for the genesis block in the github. I wasn't aware I hadn't pushed the edited github yet.
Due to the mishap, coin will be officially launched in about an hour.
With a new genesis block and entirely new blockchain, or sticking with the current one? Coins being mined now are good or not?
