681  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Delisted/Inactive Coins from Exchange on: October 27, 2023, 03:13:35 AM
The more pairs that are removed from the list will be better for liquidity in the exchanges. Deleting inactive or almost dead pairs allows more liquidity to flow to active pairs. This is a healthy thing that most exchanges do.

This is good for improving liquidity in the exchange in general, but on the other hand it is bad for some traders stuck in these pairs, as there could be someone who bought at a high price and will be forced to get rid of the coin at a loss before deletion.
682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, human rights, authoritarianism and war on: October 27, 2023, 03:07:31 AM
I'm particularly interested in delving into nuanced comparisons, such as Bitcoin versus historical monetary colonialism, and the potential role of Bitcoin as a currency for liberation in contexts like Palestine, providing an escape from both corrupt governance and external influences.
How can Bitcoin play a role as a “currency of liberation in contexts like Palestine”? Where is the liberation if the Binance exchange banned Palestinian accounts based on orders from the Israeli police!!

It is true that Bitcoin is decentralized, but in the end you are forced to use third-party services, which are mostly centralized and impose KYC. In practice, it can be said that governments have found a way to escape decentralization.

In terms of concept, Bitcoin is a wonderful thing that gives people financial freedom and promises them a better life, but unfortunately it is still immature to be a global currency due to extreme volatility and opposition from governments, in addition to other problems that will appear upon global adoption, such as delays and high fees due to congestion on the network.
683  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much could you earn in a day ? on: October 26, 2023, 04:27:22 AM
As many members pointed out above, it is possible to achieve 1% from trading within a short period of time, but of course not all traders are able to achieve this. Many traders lose their money in the beginning. Do not forget that for every winner there is a loser in trading.

Therefore, my humble advice to you is to start only with spot trading in the beginning until you gain sufficient experience, after which you can move to futures trading slowly and with a small capital, because entering into futures trading without experience is a very big risk and may cause you huge losses.
684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to build a career with bitcoin? on: October 26, 2023, 03:33:41 AM
Yes, it is possible to build a career with Bitcoin. It cannot be said that Bitcoin can be used as a profession, but of course you can make a successful investment in the long term.

If you want to have a career and a monthly income from Bitcoin, you must start your own project and work to make it successful in order to obtain a monthly income.

As for simply investing in Bitcoin without building your own project, it is different from a career because you buy and wait for a rise, and this may take months or years. Therefore, in long-term investment, it is not possible to rely on Bitcoin to obtain a career and a fixed monthly income.
685  Other / Meta / Re: Why is Halloween not being celebrated in our forum yet this year? on: October 26, 2023, 03:17:40 AM
These competitions are not official in the forum. They are usually personal initiatives initiated by some members of the forum to create some kind of interest and attract attention to such occasions.

Therefore, I do not think that they are official events related to the forum, and you do not necessarily see them every year. Most likely, some members create threads on some public religious or social occasions, but perhaps this year no one started them.
686  Local / العملات البديلة (Altcoins) / Re: حقيقة عملة pi on: October 26, 2023, 02:54:32 AM

687  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A New Perspective on Blockchain / Improving Colored Coins Idea on: October 25, 2023, 11:09:02 AM
By re-examining the wallet approach from an orthodox perspective, new consensus algorithm approach with the proof of having crypto-assets, each of which is uniquely issued and have unique identifier will be promising.
As you can see, I don't think your idea will be welcomed by the Bitcoin community. We've all seen what ordinal/NFT causes with network congestion, high fees, and delays.

Therefore, you should think before starting your project: What are the negative and positive effects of the project on the Blockchain? What are the potential positive and negative effects in the short and long term? What benefit can the “new consensus algorithm approach” as you call it bring to blockchain?
688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Man Who Stole Over 51,680 Bitcoin on: October 25, 2023, 03:28:04 AM
Jimmy turned out to be one of the first OG players in the Bitcoin community, contributing to the original Bitcoin code and providing early developers with ideas on key topics, such as how to reduce the size of the blockchain. Eventually, he changed his path and became one of the biggest Bitcoin thieves of all time.
It is unfortunate that this is the end of an old man in the Bitcoin community who had good contributions to the development of Bitcoin in the early stages, this is really strange.

I do not know what made a man with this experience and who could have a great future turn into one of the biggest Bitcoin thieves and end up in prison. Such a man should have had great ambitions and a much better future than this.

The other surprising thing about the story is that how did a professional man like him make a huge mistake that led to him getting caught by approving the KYC application?
689  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Low trading fee on MEXC on: October 24, 2023, 06:50:02 PM
I used the MEXC exchange for a long time and the fees were never zero, but as the members mentioned above there are promotions for a period of time. These offers are good and contribute to attracting more users who want to take advantage of these offers, but I think they are only on certain pairs.

MEXC was one of my favorite exchanges but now I have stopped trading so I only use the exchanges rarely, but in general I know that MEXC has many good features that compete with the larger exchanges.
690  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoMix, a fake bitcoin mixer (potential honeypot scam) on: October 24, 2023, 09:17:02 AM
I have a transaction stuck with them for two days, nearly at the last positions of preference of mempools on most miner nodes. I kindly sent them a support ticket to ask for either a doublespend so they could increase the fee and have my transaction actually arrive, but they outright refused saying their platform isn't built for that.
Obviously, this is why you are really angry.
since you have enough experience to discover all these weak points in YoMix mixer. Why did you use the mixer? Why didn't you discover all these flaws before using the service? If your transaction had not been stuck for two days, would you have written this topic?

Of course, you have the right to demand a solution to your problem and demand compensation if you do not receive your transaction, but it is appropriate for you to attack the service and distort their reputation just because your transaction is stuck.
691  Local / العملات البديلة (Altcoins) / Re: حقيقة عملة pi on: October 24, 2023, 08:23:45 AM
PI Network! A huge trap[Warning!]

https://beincrypto.com/vietnam-investigating-pi-network/

692  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: US Treasury against cryptomixers on: October 24, 2023, 03:25:18 AM
More broadly, the Treasury Department is aggressively combating illicit use of all aspects of the CVC ecosystem by terrorist groups, including Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.”"
___
The games are over. Now the owners of cryptomixers face a very serious charge, for which in the USA you can get a life sentence in a very harsh prison.
Does this have anything to do with the current war in Gaza between Hamas and Israel? I mean, has it really been revealed that Bitcoin mixing operations were carried out by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad?

In any case, the United States has been seeking from the beginning to link Bitcoin mixers with terrorist groups and money laundering, and now it seems that this is a very good opportunity for them.

Of course, no one denies the possibility of terrorist groups using mixers, but sentencing life imprisonment in a harsh prison simply for using a Bitcoin mixer seems extremely cruel and far from justice and logic.
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blackrock ETF/Bitcoin will destroy the (new) cryptocurrency industry soon... on: October 24, 2023, 02:58:09 AM
Here is the thing: If you sell your shitcoins now, you can still get a good price for them and buy bitcoin right now, while it's still cheap. Then later bitcoin goes to 1 million and it will have been worth to sell of the shitcoins right now.
Yes I agree with you on this point, all people who own Altcoin or shitcoins should get rid of their coins and buy Bitcoin before it starts to really rise and they miss the opportunity.

But what do you think would happen if people actually started dumping all their other coins and started a mad race to buy Bitcoin? The expected scenario is that there will be a significant dumping of the Altcoin market and the price of Bitcoin will rise very significantly as a result of the insane demand for the price of Bitcoin, and then what?

Logically, Bitcoin will reach a very high price, become difficult to buy, demand will decrease significantly, and it will begin to decline again.
694  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin’s long-term investors own over 76% of all BTC for the first time on: October 23, 2023, 07:55:18 PM
Yes, the word “HODL” will be a trend and will be the most used word during the coming months before the halving. Most people are optimistic about a significant rise in the price of Bitcoin after the halving, so most of them will not sell their Bitcoin at the present time. This will definitely boost the price.

It is true that all of these are just predictions for the future, but their impact will begin to become clearer and clearer during the coming period, and this magic word will play a major role in achieving these expectations. So yeah the golden advice for everyone is to just “HODL”.
695  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: البيتكوين و الانتخابات الأرجنتينية on: October 23, 2023, 07:45:49 PM

696  Other / Meta / Re: A question that needs an answer (please let's come and learn). on: October 23, 2023, 11:49:35 AM
It is a challenge to find quality posts from an ignored user but sometimes you can see quality in quoted posts of the user. It is barely seen by you because it needs to depend on quoted posts, not original posts of an ignored user.
The ignored member's posts are not necessarily bad. Often times, members ignore other members who may have high-quality posts but do not like their opinions, so it is not possible to judge an ignored member by saying that all of his posts are not good.

Many reputable members of the forum have different opinions, so it is good to use the ignore button in this case to prevent useless quarrels and arguments between members. Therefore, in my opinion, the ignore button's primary function is to prevent members from seeing the posts of members who do not agree with them or whose opinions they do not like.
697  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigerian naira hits record black market low of 1,100 per dollar on: October 23, 2023, 04:20:19 AM
I don't know much about the Nigerian economy, but there are certain reasons and wrong economic policies that lead to such a continuous decline of the Nigerian naira against the US dollar.

I am not surprised because here in my country the same thing happens. The stupid and disgusting economic policies of the government lead to the continued deterioration of the national currency against the dollar. It has now reached 14,000 national currencies for $1 and the decline will not stop, of course.

Although, as far as I know, economic resources exist in Nigeria, I expect that the government's wrong economic policies, in addition to government corruption, are the reason.

699  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: seed phrase backup on: October 23, 2023, 02:53:17 AM

700  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people ever get tired of trading bitcoin? on: October 22, 2023, 09:13:31 AM
One person bought bitcoin for 1k USD and sold it to someone for 10k, with 10x profit.
Nobody lost anything.
The second person held until bitcoin grew to 20k and sold to someone with a 2x profit
The third person bought for 25k and held onto his bitcoin. That last person is in profit right now, but doesn't want to sell.

You said that for someone to win in trading someone must lose.
In my example all traders involved are happy with their gains and all consider themselves winners.
In theory, what you say is correct, but in practice it is not 100% accurate because the last person who bought Bitcoin for 25k will wait until Bitcoin rises, but what if Bitcoin does not rise or the price falls instead?

You assume that Bitcoin will rise forever, and this is not true, because there will come a day when the price reaches a full limit and it is not possible to increase above it, perhaps 100 K or a million dollars, no one knows, but there must come a day when the price of Bitcoin stops at a certain limit.
