402  Economy / Economics / Re: Used cars and real estate market very volatile and a lot people will fomo in on: December 19, 2023, 02:55:41 AM
Yes, this is a fact. Since the car and real estate market is mainly linked to the economy, it is naturally affected by economic factors such as recession and inflation, so it is very natural for it to be volatile.

But since paper currency constantly loses its value, it would be a good idea to buy a property or a car to maintain the value of your money. This is better than keeping your money as paper money or keeping it in banks.

For me, of course, the best thing is to buy Bitcoin or gold. Whether it is for the purpose of investment or long-term reserve storage, gold and Bitcoin will be my preferred choice in the long term.
403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You will burn on: December 19, 2023, 02:45:58 AM
This is what I discovered for myself after I tried investing in several Altcoins. I initially thought I had made some profits, but I discovered that I was delusional when the coins started to decline and losses began.

After that I decided to leave all Altcoins and start the Bitcoin DCA strategy until at least after halving. Today I collected a good amount and continued with the strategy until achieving ATH.

I am very happy that I made this right decision and I am very happy with the results I have achieved so far and I am eagerly awaiting the fruits.
404  Other / Meta / Re: I think it's possible to keep going without banning mixers on: December 18, 2023, 07:44:39 PM
It seems to me a good and reasonable solution. Yes, the suspicious mixers whose reputation is being talked about in the media or are accused by the government can be banned and the rest of the mixers without any problems can be kept.

But it is better to adopt the principle of safety with the decision taken by Theymos, because banning mixers is a protection for the forum, and it is also a protection for the members participating in these campaigns, who are paid by the mixers, which will put them under government surveillance.

Also what guarantee is there that the mixer that looks good now is a clean mixer? People kept thinking that Chipmixer looked clean for about 6 years and then the facts were suddenly revealed.
405  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Coin Pot on: December 18, 2023, 07:07:20 AM
Sir, the idea is that we are a new company with the same name, but we are not scammers. We profit using advertisements and donations. Do you get the idea and we provide the service of creating a Bitcoin Wallet?
Why do you use the same name then? The original website address was COINPOT.CO and you are using the same address but changing .cc instead of .co, what can we call this? Isn't this phishing?

You could have chosen any other name or at least told people that you are not the original COINPOT service, but this way you presented it in the topic made all members think that you are a scammer.
406  Economy / Economics / Re: My view of wealth and assets specially now on: December 18, 2023, 02:48:04 AM
For me I trust Bitcoin/Gold but I don't trust cash. Most of the world's economies suffer from inflation, so I cannot trust cash anymore. Yes, cash is better than banks and electronic accounts, and I prefer to use it in daily transactions, but it cannot be trusted in the long term because it constantly loses its value.

As for real estate and property, I think that real estate and property are a good field for speculation, at least here in my country. I do not know much about real estate in other countries, but here in my country, real estate is a very good field for profit and speculation, and some here consider it a safe haven and buy real estate to preserve the value of their money.
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jpg monkeys are making the fees impossible? Just use a meme coin! on: December 18, 2023, 02:26:08 AM
When it comes to transactions between centralized exchanges it is easy to switch Bitcoin to Dogecoin or another coin with low fees, but what is the solution when it comes to transferring Bitcoin from a wallet like Electreum to centralized exchanges?

Lightning Network can be used. I know that Binance and Coinbase support Lightning Network, but I am banned on both exchanges, so I wonder if there are other exchanges that support Lightning?

I've been stuck for several days now. I want to send $100 Bitcoin from my Electreum wallet but I don't want to pay $10-18 fees to transfer $100.

Monkey owners must be happy!!!

409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Know The First Times Bitcoin Ever Had Real World Value? on: December 17, 2023, 02:42:33 AM
I love reading old topics about Bitcoin, in those beautiful days when the price of Bitcoin was very low and mining was very easy, but those days have passed and precious opportunities are rarely repeated.

It is not just about buying Bitcoin at a very cheap price in those days but about holding Bitcoin to the peak time. Many people bought Bitcoin at a cheap price at that time but very few have hold it until now because most of them were not believers or did not expect the price to reach this level one day.
410  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I see many users talk about trading but does anyone here actually trading? on: December 17, 2023, 02:26:02 AM
I don't know about others, but I myself have tried trading for several years and gained quite a bit of experience. I learned a lot of things during this experience, and I had many bad and good experiences that could be useful lessons for others.

At the moment I am stopping trading and following the long-term Bitcoin hold strategy instead of day trading because I discovered that this is the best thing after having a lot of losses recently.
411  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What if ATH - ATH Portfolio Calculator on: December 16, 2023, 04:31:48 AM
The site is very simple and easy to use, and it is free, which is good, but on what basis is ATH calculated? Is the ATH taken for Bitcoin or each coin individually?

In the current form of the site, I do not think that it has much benefit, but it can be improved a little by adding more data and comparison, for example, showing the current value of the assets and comparing it with the value in the case of ATH. It would also be interesting to add a comparison in the opposite case, i.e. the bottom.

Anyway, thanks for this tool.
412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin community are in support of BRC20 on: December 16, 2023, 04:03:47 AM
Yes we all see this madness, yesterday the fees reached around $18 for a high priority transaction, currently the madness has subsided a bit and the high fees have dropped to around $10 only. !!!! Angry I wanted to transfer some Bitcoin from my wallet for something important but I backed out when I saw these high fees. This is unbearable.

We have a lot of cats and dogs on Ethereum, Binance and other networks, is it necessary to have them on the Bitcoin network as well? Do I have to pay all these high fees just because people started buying cats and dogs on the Bitcoin network?
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security is important in Bitcoin on: December 15, 2023, 07:33:24 PM
Text file? Even if you change its extension, anyone could change it. It's very easy, not to brag, but if you work in IT or information technology, changing the extension of the text file or any file will not help because if someone gets that file, they can easily convert it and access it.
Of course anyone can change the file extension, but the idea of changing the file extension is just to make it unattractive. Hackers usually look for text files, Word files, or files with the .dat extension, so you give the file an unattractive extension like (.dll, .sys) Or any extension for system files. Of course, there are thousands of these files in the computer, and the hacker will not try to convert the extension of all these files because it will take a very long time.

It is better, of course, as I mentioned, to change the extension and encrypt the file. Thus, until it is found, it will be difficult to open it. In any case, this method is not completely safe, but it may be useful temporarily until the seed or private key is saved correctly on a metal plate or something Similar.
414  Economy / Economics / Re: One of the biggest problem in our society is that average person don't have on: December 15, 2023, 04:11:26 AM
It is true that the currently prevailing banking system is corrupt and there is discrimination between the poor and the rich. This seems more clear in poor countries where the rich can access banking services and obtain loans and financial facilities with ease, unlike the poor.

The Crypto space gives more freedom and opportunities to the poor who do not have the capital to start their own investment. Here in Crypto, through learning and gaining knowledge, you can get a job and start your own investment.

But of course, this does not mean that it can be obtained easily or that you will become rich by working in Crypto, but at least you will achieve your financial freedom.

416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security is important in Bitcoin on: December 15, 2023, 02:20:57 AM
In my early days when my bitcoin wasn't worth a lot of money I used to keep my private keys in renamed txt files hidden somewhere on my computer. I'd take a normal text file, change the extension into something like "infinity.dll" and hide it somewhere. That's not proper security, but still many times better than some people, who store these on gmail accounts, cloud servers, or password managers.
A good way to keep the private key is through a text file and change the extension, but it is not the best way of course. In any case, it is not wise to talk about this method in public forums because you will draw the attention of hackers to try to find such files and examine them to obtain the private key.

It is also better to use an encryption program to encrypt the file so that hackers cannot open it even if they find it, or to use a Word file instead of a text file and encrypt it with a strong password and change the extension so that the file type is not known.

418  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Russia’s Exved launches cross-border crypto payments with Tether’s USDT on: December 14, 2023, 04:56:47 PM
Decentralized stablecoins are tied to centralized stablecoins through collateral, if you look at the experience of DAI.
Everyone is already used to USDT, so Exved did not reinvent the wheel. Then perhaps there will be settlements with some countries through the digital ruble, but its mass implementation is planned for 2025. So far there is either limited use or planned implementation in some organizations.
Exved cannot be blamed, of course, because they want their services to be global and therefore they are forced to use a stablecoin that bears a global character, and the easiest and best option at the present time is USDT.

But here lies the problem, everyone is accustomed to USDT in the crypto community just as everyone was accustomed to using the dollar by all global banks and financial services before. This is what makes all of these services hostage in the hands of the United States. We see how the United States attacks these services and bans everyone who violates its policy.

So I was wondering, since Exved is a Russian platform, why doesn't it benefit from the digital ruble, for example, or will this make their services limited to certain countries only?
419  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Russia’s Exved launches cross-border crypto payments with Tether’s USDT on: December 14, 2023, 09:13:40 AM
Does this mean the US won't be able to touch them though? I won't be surprised if the US claims any stablecoin representing or claims to represent USD needs their approval, regardless if the issuer is a government or overseas business. Maybe they just think it is the same as accepting USD for their business, even though the US can track the bank account they can simply create and use a new one, although it doesn't remove the risk at all.
As long as stablecoins remain pegged to the dollar, the United States will be able to go after them, even if they are based in Hong Kong or any other country, but at least having the company's headquarters in a country outside the United States makes it not entirely subject to American terms.

The best solution is to have a decentralized stablecoins or one linked to a currency other than dollar.
Currently I don't see any stablecoins that are not tied to the dollar, so perhaps decentralized stablecoins are the only solution.
420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who do we feel biased about in bridging the potential outputs of Bitcoin? on: December 14, 2023, 02:37:44 AM
What we are supposed to be biased towards are governments, not Fiat or Altcoin. The central, tyrannical mentality of the ruling minority in any country is the main reason for everything that happens. The problem is not a problem with Fiat, but rather the problem is that they want control and do not imagine the idea of decentralization that Bitcoin brought.

Fiat is a form of central money, while Bitcoin is another form of money, but it is decentralized, so governments fight it because they prefer central money through which they can control everything.
