Merge mining is a bullshit, second coin worth nothing, a bonus. Scammy pools like minergate will claim all shit and dump on exchanges, their customers are retards and whole business is conversion of idiotism to fortune. Learned from VTC + Monocle, second coin goes to zero.
Only price can save from 51 for now, so buy as much as you can afford to multiply by 10 to attract more GPU miners /s.
I don't think this is an absolute. For coins that have a solid userbase (Doge) or coins with a specific or unique usecase (that is actually used, not Namecoin) (Rootstock) merge-mining doesn't seem to be a negative. I'm not saying merge mining is a good idea here, but I'd say Aeon is closer to Doge than Monocle (which was launched expressly to be merged toy chain). |

@smooth. The release notes does not mention LMDB but I assume that it is already included in this upgrade? I would like to run another node on an old computer with 2GB of RAM and locate it at home.
It's definitely included. You might need slightly more than 2GB of ram to compile, but swap will suffice. |

But it does have hot sauce and porn tho... And i think the from you so called creator pumped 650 Million Dollar in the coin to give it its today value? And what did they do to make one of the biggest industries in the world to choose XVG as partner? And please, dont tell me the shit about porncoin or something like that. If you guys still dont understand this deal and its consequences, not only for verge, but for crypto, noone can help you anymore. Why is Myriadcoin a coin that is completely insignificant... Is it because they made everything right? I got an alert about a DNS affecting malware today. I suppose this type of thing can redirect you elsewhere without you knowing.
MyMonero uses HTTPS so your browser would give you a big scary warning if you got affected by something like that. Isn't there some way that malware can change the hosts file and/or use a self signed certificate to bypass that warning? |

None chance. Why would you want to walk on edge anyway. It is way easier to follow. AEON blockchain si super slim right now. Bulletproofs are not needed. Yes from next month on is possible that AEON will get used more and blockchain will start growing more, but growth just cant be huge. Wownero has had bulletproofs active on mainnet for a month or so now. Think we win the prize for being the stupidest to activate first. There haven't really been any major issues except last couple days someone was spamming the mempool with hundreds of txs with ring size 100, and couple pool ops reported daemons locking up with error message about duplicate index in pool or something untilool was flushed, but I didn't see that issue. |

I don't think the wise whales will kick in before it comes to be decentralized. What is decentralized for you? Can you give an example of decentralized distribution and operation? What BYTEBALL should do right now to be more "decentralized" and win your sympathy? There literally one guy holding 30-40% of all coins that will ever exist, who also happens to operate all twelve if the consensus forming and transaction validating nodes that collect all of the network fees. It almost couldn't be more centralized, so practically anything that's changed would increase decentralization. |

I think it's a better than 50/50 proposition. I know Bitcoin is getting dumped a bit at the moment, but I expect BTC to end the year comfortably over $10k, which would mean XMR basically just needs to maintain current ratio. |
