681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Shakur Stevenson on: October 11, 2021, 05:00:27 PM
Besides this, its going to be their day as they will earn $1.5M which is their top most career paydays. Awaiting to watch their game on 23rd October.
Nice amount, is it the total purse in this fight, I guess with that big purse this will be considered as one of the biggest fights this year. By the way, do we have some source on that so I can read more information about that particular purse, I would appreciate it if you'll share a link.

Sure. Was looking for page where exact info is shown on it so it got delayed. Hope the link https://www.espn.in/boxing/story/_/id/32010447/sources-jamel-herring-fight-shakur-stevenson-oct-23-atlanta should provide you the needed information. I am looking for other pages, will provide you the same if I find any.
682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FURY VS WILDER WHO YA GOT? #FuryWilder3 on: October 11, 2021, 04:44:00 PM
Watched the full match, it's been a while since I've seen quite action like this, although I don't watch that much because some fights really bores me out, I watched the entire match, both of them threw out crazy punches, 3rd and 4th round, I honestly thought it was gonna be over when Fury got down, but that 11th round, it was all over, great fight, and just got lucky that I placed my bet on Fury.

Me too dont watch boxing often but yes, just completed watching the full match https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kzk1cX5dIp8
In the beginning I thought, Wilder was physically well, he would get Fury down, but later after watching closely, Fury seems be an experienced and skilled enough to make punches to the points rather than just moving around on foot. But yes wilder was on his fire and tried his best trying to give punches to points. Really appreciate Wilder's play, however Fury was awesome in being steady and calm in giving out punches and getting points.
683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Shakur Stevenson on: October 11, 2021, 03:49:38 PM
^ There are no odds yet for the handicap, we all know that it is too early for bookies but at least ML is available and Herring is a huge underdog as far as betting, 6.x is very attractive indeed.

But the smart money is pouring on Stevenson as early as today, future fights for this kid is really looking good, (Oscar Valdez), but I would agree that this is still a very close fight. Pressure on Shakur, to show us that he is indeed the potential next cash cow.

in some bookies, it is only 5x now for herring. but bitsler is listing it as 6x. not bad for those who want to bet on him. that's a very good winning in case herring will win. herring has more experience and a good record also. so wondering why bookies are siding heavily on shakur with the odds. is that because of the age factor? but it has been proven that age is just a number in a lot of boxing matches in the previous years. anyway, for those who are rooting for herring, this is a very good chance for you to multiply your bet in case he will win this match.

Most likely because of Shakur's undefeated record and yes, he is very young as compare to Herring.

And I think he is also well-known between the two, that's why sports bookies are favoring him in this fight. But as others said, he is a live dog here,  he maybe 5x-6x but he has shown that he can perform very well when the odds are stack against him. Well yeah, they calling Shakur the next cash cow but he has to get over Herring first before talking about the next champion which is Oscar Valdez.

It should not be an easy fight for Stevenson here, he has to work hard to beat Herring who has a winning streak and I don't see Stevenson here knocking out Herring, this fight could go to distance and it will be unpredictable on who will win but betting on the underdog with huge odds, you'll likely get the advantage in a close fight.

I also don't see a knock out, Shakur and Herring doesn't have the power, not saying that they are weak, but if you look at their records most of their wins are by decision.

So I expect the same, although Shakur is the favorite base on the odds, it's not going to be easy for him. Herring is really a live dog, but Shakur is very ambitious as he is looking for the next big fight. So again, he needs to go past Herring first, maybe by a unanimous decision, but maybe the score will be very close.

Herring has really shown his best performance in the match held in Dubai. Herring has said its going to be a biggest test to Stevenson. A determined champion is really tough to be faced by the 24 year old Olympic silver medalist Stevenson. As you said yes, its going to be tough. Besides this, its going to be their day as they will earn $1.5M which is their top most career paydays. Awaiting to watch their game on 23rd October.
684  Other / Off-topic / Re: BattleBots : Is This Another Form of Sports? on: October 11, 2021, 02:14:47 PM
I was flipping through channels on my TV and came across this channel where technologically built bots fight against the other under the control of their maker using a remote control.

Quote
Contestants control their armoured and technologically-advanced robots through a remote control and battle other robots to win the competition.
Quote source: Google

After watching the game that day, I liked it, and to be honest, I enjoy watching it this days.

And my questions are:-
  • Have you seen this game before?
  • Do you consider this another form of sports?
  • How would you like it if our betting/gambling sites integrate this game so we can bet on them?

Incase you've never seen this game before, watch here https://youtu.be/2TSjp_cIdk4

Just watched few clips on Battlebots. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b489QaD248U

Really interesting to watch. Unlimited innovations. Both the robos and who operates them are the key players. Importantly how well, how strong and how equipped it is. We should award each innovation right besides seeing it as just a sport? Every piece of work is awesome.

I too wish a gambling site is created to bet on. Today was the first day to know this "battlebot". After going through few clips, I am really impressed to see innovative sport. Thanks to OP.
685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: October 11, 2021, 06:44:41 AM
The game of the week could be Leicester - Manchester United in the next round of the Premier League. Manchester United are trying to have better results as they don't have a decent form now. Ole Solskjaer may need to develop a new strategy to get a win in this game. But I don't expect such thing from him to do. Therefore, the same game plan might not work well against Leicester. Maybe Leicester are not having their best time so far but they are still a dangerous team. I'll still be favoring Manchester United in this game but they should be well-prepared for a very tough game here.

Martial is in form besides Ronaldo in Man United. Leicester has really played well in the 1st half in scoring 2 goals and seems becoming stronger. Yes, its really going to be tough between Leicester and Man United. Hope Ole Solskjaer will proof to leading a good team with skilled players by winning the upcoming match against Leicester.  Ronaldo should contribute to Man Utd on 16th Oct. Waiting for a good match.
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the crypto hype over? on: October 10, 2021, 06:29:24 PM
If you ask me, crypto hype has never been over, and it is always hyping everyone, with the market cap expanding. NFT games are also the current meta in the crypto, which is why many people are now interested in cryptocurrency and some desire to invest large sums of money in it to capitalize on the present market. It's never been over, and I don't think it ever will be; there are just moments when the market needs to rest, and some are dumping their coins because they believe the hype is over.

As long as Bitcoin exists and its ATH is seen now and then, the hype is always going to be there irrespective of Musk or anyone else sponsoring to crypto's growth. When I look back at the first ATH Bitcoin had in April 2017, everyone has really turned towards Bitcoin. I could see, that people who were saying that Bitcoin was a fake currency, they then started investing in it seeing many others getting profits. The hype is going to be MORE in the future.
687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 10, 2021, 06:12:34 PM
Finally CSK have won the match and has entered the finals. Delhi played well in all means starting from batting, bowling and fielding. On the other side the partnership developed by Gaikwad and Uthappa gave stability to the match. The sudden fall of consecutive wickets turned the match, once again the momentum is taken back by Dhoni and the same lead to victory.

Yes, CSK to final. Its 9th time they are into IPL Final. It was really interesting to watch both team really play well and score more than 170. It was an awesome play from 4 players. 2 from DC scoring 50s in very less balls and 2 from CSK, Uthappa and Gaikwart hitting 50s. It was a real treat from Uthappa to his Son who celebrates his Birthday today. Awaiting for next game from CSK.
688  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn Merits? on: October 10, 2021, 06:01:51 PM
~
I recall when merit was just like "freshly" implemented back in 2018, and Meta was like under attack with those "merit fishing" thread like just generic thoughts of newbies to merit. From the past months, from what I observed, merit fishers are now attacking this board with "yet another plagiarism" or "yet another merit" thread.
probably they just target the boards where most merits are shared but they never realize that only the real discussion will attract people to make some discussion and thought sharing situations.

Irrespective a quality post, its the reader who reads and accepts that that is a worth post giving information and being a quality post, give a merit to it. At times a quality post is not read by many and that goes off unmerited. But yes as like, every other platform, consistency will pay off. Yes, a quality post will one day be acknowledged irrespective of where and on what board its posted.
689  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin trading? can Bitcoin trading profitable without having lost? on: October 10, 2021, 05:41:54 PM
It is never possible to trade without loss because you will not always be able to do accurate analysis when it comes to trading analysis. Most people make mistakes when it comes to trading but it is very difficult to get accurate statistics because there are so many sectors of trading, now when it comes to bitcoin trading, it can be said that bitcoin trading is much easier than other trades. Bitcoin trading is much more profitable than other trades but bitcoin trading is often a matter of time before you can make a certain investment every day.
And even you do accurate analysis.

You're still likely to lose with some unexpected news that will come and it will be against your analysis. Even the best of the traders, they're also having some problems with the market that makes them incur losses.

Trading with a high percentage of win rates in trades is better to hear and as well as low percentage of losses.
Trading with profits will always be a way better than trading with frequent losses. But bitcoin trading with no losses will always be unrealistic. Because no matter how good or expert you are in trading or in any aspects in life, you will never make it perfect. And its fine, because that will be your motivation to always do better in the future. Although there are more losses in trading more particularly with newbies, but believe me the profits you'll gain will always be worth it and rewarding.
It is unreal.

Every trader has their share of experiences with losses and a trader that has no loss, it's probably not a real trader because we all knew how trading works.

And you can't avoid losses.

Even an experienced trader who are in it for years and years must have been through losses. Yes, so its really natural for beginners. Trading is subject to risks lets say. Even traders in stock market go through all these wins and losses. Accept it and learn technical indicators moves and their meaning. Besides these, be updated with market updates. Invest less in the beginning and learn the market.
690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 10, 2021, 01:44:13 PM
If DC wins today's match then they will win this season IPL. They are very strong team if you compare them with CSK. But, you cannot underestimate CSK they have a very experienced team and a captain who is known to win games that were hard to win. Today's match would be the most interesting and exciting match.

You are right. Although the DC team looks very strong and their performance is very stable, there is no way to underestimate the Chennai team. Their batsmen have the ability to collect more than 200 runs. However, considering the performance of the last few matches, we can definitely keep the Delhi team ahead. Since it is T20 format. So we have to be ready to see any miracle on the field.

Yes, never underestimate CSK or any teams. Yes CSK did not perform well in last three matches. But yes, they do have strong players in line. Hope Dhoni and team have prepared themselves very well. Dubai pitch is long so lets see how it will support the teams.

Dhoni won the toss and chose bowling. Dhoni says, "the chasing seems gets better in the second half". He is cool since he is an experienced in 24 playoffs. Rishop Punt had thought of bowling first it he says and he is confident but bit nervous to face playoffs. Interesting. Strong teams. Lets face it.
691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis vs football on: October 10, 2021, 01:26:45 PM
Am thinking of starting a betting journey and have hard experience in slots and other online gambling games which are risky because it requires a gambler to have some skills, but in tennis or live football betting is all about predictions and luck?
Which will refer for a beginner should bet on tennis games or football which among the two is easy to forecast.

Which amongst the two sports you have followed or at least knowledge of the team or the players?

I usually bet on tennis, but I have followed it for many years so I'm confident on betting on that sports. Of course, it's not always a win for me, but the most important thing is that you are familiar with the sports and you know how or who to bet. Otherwise, if you don't have knowledge then you're most likely going to lose in the end.

You can choose a player whom you are familiar about instead of focusing on which sports. You have choices based on your experiences. You can bet on a player or on a team. Choose where you wish to bet. Spent time in analyzing either about the best players of the teams or the teams. Especially their recent games. Then yes bet on. These should help you to come to a conclusion how to go about.
692  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2022? on: October 09, 2021, 07:38:47 PM
Hold and whenever you get an opportunity to buy at the lower level or whenever their is a correction just try to accumulate it because 2022 will witness another new highs. We may be set towards 75k or upwards in coming year.

How lovely it would be to see BITCOIN crossing $100 in 2022. Just imagine how the world would react to it if they get to know it. Yes obviously there will be huge number of new investors into crytpto.  If bitcoin grows then yes obviously other cyrpto currencies would follow and yes all who invested, its going to be a feast for them. Lets hope Bitcoin crosses $100k by next April 2022.
693  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the role of fiat currency disappear against crypto. on: October 09, 2021, 07:19:41 PM
Currently, there are many usd-based stablecoins such as, usdt, busd, usdc and maybe many others.  To be honest, I used to think that crypto would completely eliminate the usd's dominance of the world economy but I was wrong, it turns out that usd is now evolving to crypto (stablecoins).  What do you think, whether in the future bitcoin or other crypto can replace the role of currency in each country and leave fiat currencies such as usd, euro, yuan and others.

Will not this be a welcoming move from governments planning to make their own crypto currency which is stable and brings value to their coin like USDT? However, this will split the number of users to their own stable coins and I feel the current circulation rate of stable coin will go down. But number of users will increase from each country, I mean, we might have more investors from each country.
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is telling people you're into stocks "cool" but crypto is a big secret? on: October 09, 2021, 06:33:33 PM
Ever noticed how people would boast or proudly proclaim (or at least used to) that they invest and trade stocks, but they don't feel the same way about crypto, as if it's a secret never to be shared? Why is that?

Legalization should be one of the reasons for not being open on it? And as many are not aware of crypto currency, those who invested might feel that they will be laughed at for investing in crypto. At times, since its money involved, current generation do not expose it often. I am sure, in near future, crypto investors will be proud to say that they have invested on Bitcoin or on any other crypto currencies.
695  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I recommend a friend to buy Bitcoin now? on: October 08, 2021, 07:03:41 PM
~
There is always a risk that beginners and anyone will face if they want to invest in bitcoin without sufficient knowledge. If you want to recommend a friend, then it's also your responsibility to give him some basic knowledge so he understand the risks involved. I'm sure you wouldn't want to take responsibility for your friend's inability to profit and that should have been explained from the start.
That's my point in my first reply, they need to teach them and tell them right then and there that there's going to be risks involved investing in crypto that's far more dangerous than any other investment instruments but the problem is that people shouldn't force other people to get in the market and deceive them of riches and such.

I agree. Many beginners just invest seeing their friends just earn profits and invest on the same coin and tend to fall into panic sells which in turn leads to loose huge money. So, yes it's our responsibility to alert them of risks involved in it. This would certainly make many think twice before investing. As money is involved its necessary to analyze before investing. This would eradicate many from loosing money.
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most performing altcoin for October on: October 08, 2021, 06:50:56 PM
This month of October has started on a very remarkable note for the entire cryptocurrency market with ethereum almost recovering back to $4500 and Bitcoin seating above $51k price which is a good sign that October is going to be a remarkable month in the prices of most crypto coins, I will like to see your predictions on altcoins market for October which altcoin do you have faith in and what are the indices that will make that happen?

As always many altcoins followed Bitcoin's growth. I closely watched Shiba Inu pumping up to 70 to 90 percentage from regular price in last few days. I am sure those who invested, might have earned a good profit out of it. Hope this bull run continues and we again see a new ATH by end of this month. Its really good to see we are back on track after just few months. 2021 is just awesome for crypto lovers and investors.
697  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Basics things to note before venturing into crypto on: October 08, 2021, 06:24:07 PM
1) you don't always make profits, they're huge losses too, I've lost $300 twice in different occasions, so it's not always Rossy, there are hard time too.

2) Trading Cryptos need PATIENCE, I once lost over $10000 just because of lack of patience, the coin wasn't moving well so I sold it, 5days later, the coin did exceptionally well that I would have made 5Million if I had left it for a bit longer, so Patience is very necessary.

3) You need a mentor, mentors helps to analyze the market and tell you what coin to buy, when to buy it, what coin would pump in the nearest future and the coin that'll delay in pumping.....
As a newbie, if you decide to do all this on your own, you may be running at a lose.

4) You need to be obedient and humble, it's one thing to have a mentor and another thing to take heed to their Instructions and advice.
Most times we just want to act differently from what the ask you to do thereby running into unnecessary loses.

Finally you have learnt much after loosing $10k. Really feel sorry for your huge lose. I have been in the same situation when I sold off the coins when it was low and after few days the same coin had a massive spike. Just a second of our action has lead to loose huge. Then yes I too learnt and till now, have not done the same mistake. Patience is the key to success here. It applies everywhere right.

And I would say, learn by yourself instead of keeping a mentor. Obviously you can get advice from experts but let this not become a permanent support.
698  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Continuously Loosing money in Trading!!!! on: October 08, 2021, 06:10:57 PM
In many of the previous posts about the trading I had seen so far in which there were some questions about the trading strategies , but this time I had to tell you that following the same strategies won't help you anymore, so you have to make new strategies for yourself and followed them for getting the profit.
Some strategies might still work though as some of them are pretty much generalized so everyone can use it, but you're right that we should create our own strategy so we can get it to our specifications. If you're continuously losing money when your trading, you better evaluate your strategy and see what's making you lose.
Yes, strategy is the most important part of trading it is easy to master the techniques and reduce the risk if you trade using your knowledge and intellect. If you are afraid of losing money stay calm for a while if you analyze the charts you will be less likely to lose money.

But the problems  is the majority of the new traders who came up here in crypto trading they never know how to become prepared or aware
and doesn't know how to analyze the chart while reading it in the actual movement happen in the market. Where it leads them to be
confuse in the end. Then at the end of the day they loss their assets.
Many traders depend on signals from other traders or the recommendations they read on social media, this means they are not trading the market with their skills but with the skills of someone else, and this is a huge mistake because as we know the conditions in the market can change in a heartbeat and if the person that they are following does not tell them what to do or they are busy adjusting their positions then this means they are losing precious minutes and not taking a decision about what to do, and while a few minutes may not seem like a big deal this is an eternity if you are a day trader.

And yes often what happens is, new traders tend to invest on the same coin where their friends have invested and got profits. They just invest when the price is high and later when the value goes down, they panic and sell them off at loss. When market is manupulated, never push yourself to either buy or sell. Have patience when you see your coin value is going down. It will certainly grow back.
699  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can BTC hit 70k$ this Christmas? on: October 07, 2021, 06:11:05 PM
Before Christmas this is ample time but Unfortunately markets are already in the bullish phase and knowing very well that price can't keep going up without any corrections or bearish move, am afraid to say that sooner or later price will have to go the other way and market makers can't allow this to happen so expect some manipulation for these guys to buy cheap coins at their desired price.

It might be more than $70k by Christmas. A new ATH will be seen again in 2021. Bitcoin bull run has started back after it was moving between $41k to $49k last month and this stability was the indication for current bull run. The bull run is supporting other crypto currencies see an ATH like SHIB.

Hope the bull run at least touch the last ATH $63 and stay between $53 to $63 this month and move again towards $70k. The right time to buy more Bitcoin.
700  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: *Day Traders* are now calling gambling Addiction helplines!! on: October 07, 2021, 05:47:45 PM
Is this really related or not, but personally what is said to be a kind of gamble from day trading is when they trade futures. So it is very appropriate if you look at the level of profit and loss you get.

At first glance they will be very different, but when juxtaposed both use the same pattern. I can't fully say that this is a 100% form of gambling, perhaps more precisely, there are similarities in features that bring day trading traders like on a platform that uses crypto trading but inside it doesn't seem much different from gambling activities.
If they did really feel the thrill that they are looking for like in gambling then it may be considered as gambling. There are many forms of gambling not just playing card games and many more as long as there is a situation where a person is willing to risk his money just to earn profit. I would say that it is a gambling type of activity but in different way.

Agreed, and it has its own set of rules. Depending on your strategy, trading can also be a game of chance. When you first start trading, you'll often hear or read that you shouldn't treat it like gambling; you're simply casting trades without a proper strategy or knowledge, and you're relying solely on luck, which will cause you to lose money in the long run. You are correct; no matter what kind of game there is with money involved, it is still gambling. As long as you agree on the same rules to win the game, you are good.

To be frank, I visit exchanges where I am trading, minimum 50 times a day. So is it the indication of an addiction or being responsible in checking out my assets have got any profits to me? Have lots of questions. Recent ATH of Bitcoin and news spread about other crypto currencies growth, people started investing and eagerly looking out for their profits often a day? Is it due to more expectation or how this can be called?
