681  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is the end of Fiat money at hand? on: April 28, 2022, 12:48:06 AM
From the inception of bitcoin, it was intended to be used as normal currency so every part of the world could use one online trading currency (electronic currency). But due to its price volatility it makes it a bit difficult to actualize that dream.
The price volatility of Bitcoin didn't stop it from being used as currency and from what you said I think you guys focus more on the negative impact of the volatile nature of crypto than its positive impact.

But in recent times, other Cryptocurrencies have emerged which are called stable coins, they are stable in price,
Even the so call Stablecoins are not stable in price either and at a certain time they also experience a dump in price

and are fixed to an existing currencies around the world.
They are mostly backed with the currency which it failure was the reason why cryptocurrency was created.
682  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The reason people join bitcointalk forum on: April 27, 2022, 11:17:25 PM
Apart from the two points you listed above, which are;
1. To earn
2. To learn
Yes, but the calculation of the people who are here earn is huge that the number of people who're here to learn and I can say 95% of the people that join the forum before the Covid-19 happened are here to learn.

There are also people who don't know why they are here in the forum. The just dance to where ever the breeze blows them to.
This is not possible. There are individuals that will join a site online without having any motive though the person may be lost in the journey.
683  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs really worth it? on: April 26, 2022, 06:58:54 PM
To answer this question correctly, let us look at the countries where their government has created their own CBDC which shows there's no huge difference that makes the CBDC worthwhile and the only change I see is the CBDC being easy to use, it limits people carrying fiat currency around while it gives the government more control over people fund and privacy.
In my country, CBDC was created but it has no competition with fiat, people did not use it because it is just fiat just like how we are sending fiat to another person online.
This will be the result of the government CBDC because the major reason why CBDC came into the picture is the government's FOMO and there's no way they will achieve some good out of it but if they support cryptocurrency and don't see it as a competition between their national currency it will be a win-win for them.

684  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So Many Exchanges out there on: April 26, 2022, 06:37:03 PM
This is newbie talk, so don't kill me. I want to learn, but it seems so complicated.

I want to  - sell BTC for ETH, and then sell that ETH for more BTC than I started the trade with. Sounds like a simple way to start, yet I know it won't be.

My biggest concern is that there are so many exchanges. How the heck do I know which ones will pay me after I make an exchange? I know I have to check their reserve balance, but what else should I look for?
It all depends on what you mean by what you said "which ones will pay me after I make an exchange" but I personally select an exchange base on
1) Reputation
2) How fast is their withdrawal service and cost: You can not request a withdrawal on Binance and don't want to pay a huge transaction fee which is unfair.
3) Customer support.
4) Geographical area restriction.
685  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitoin prediction - 1 Million dollar by 2025 (Expert) on: April 26, 2022, 05:44:56 PM
I think we have reached a point where I believe people who are making Bitcoin market predictions are just trying to seek attention because they are not been reasonable about their predictions and it is clear that there's no way the bitcoin market will achieve a $1 Million prices in the year 2025.
I could their expert prediction last year is that Bitcoin will reach a $100K price and we're yet to see the $100K price despite that they still make another prediction of $1M.

687  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and investment on: April 25, 2022, 04:18:03 PM
During the time when covid-19 hit the world, cryptocurrency has shown to be a needed hedge fund and if the OP thinks about the benefit he will get in the future through crypto currency I don't see investing 10%-20% of his total monthly income into crypto as something small if he's could discipline himself and never skip a single month.
688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is truly missing in the Bitcoin ecosystem to get this to the masses on: April 22, 2022, 11:14:56 PM
I believe the major thing that's missing in the Bitcoin ecosystem which hindered it from getting to the masses is
1) Scalability
2) Ignorant about the true potential, concept, and the purpose of Bitcoin, especially among the government and the central bank around the world which sees Bitcoin as a threat when there's nothing like that.
689  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I need only 5k$ investment and i can gain 200.000k$ Profit - Join Project on: April 22, 2022, 10:47:45 PM
You should that this is online where people offer something shady to scam others and I am sure no one in his/her right mind will ever comply with the investment you offer and if you want to get the amount you needed.
There are various crypto platforms that provide loans or investments in startup projects, i will advise you to contact them.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel if satoshi back on: April 20, 2022, 11:44:37 PM
I just saw this on my news feed. Though I know it's been edited. But we all know that satoshi is a feeling and emotion for us. And if he comes back, it will be a great feeling, but on the other hand, it is also scary. Because people say if he comes back and starts to sell his holdings, the bitcoin price will be dumped brutally. That is why I am scared too.

What would be your feelings if this happened?

Lets say that it is impossible but who knows in near future about revealing up himself or becomes online once again and say up some words which is similar on the picture given above.About impressions and emotions

then it would be all mixed up because some would be worried about  selling his holdings just like you do said but also it might be also a reason for the price to rise up or pump considering that
creator is already back on track.

In overall, i dont see for Satoshi to come back since he know the risk if he would really be making out such step.
I believe Bitcoin has gained people's enthusiasm to the extent that Satoshi selling his holding is not the major fear of Bitcoin holders but the possible threat and attack some Bitcoin haters will do to Satoshi which could probably make the jury ban Bitcoin or put Bitcoin under a worse condition.
691  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I saved myself from cryptocurrency disappointment on: April 19, 2022, 05:48:58 PM
Every investment involves risk likewise cryptocurrency, so it's your duty to avail yourself from unnecessary risks or getting disappointed by doing a proper market research on any crypto project you're driving into, though there are some projects out there that can be woof in a sheep clothing but it end up being a scam project. in this case, you will be satisfied you've done your best than just going into a project without proper research.
Yes, every investment has its own risk and like the saying great opportunity will always come with great risk but the risk in Cryptocurrency investment can still be avoided thats if the investor who's still a newbie understands his/her limit, went for the long-existing project with good utility and invest base on DCA.
The reason why investors fall for a scam project is that they don't have good knowledge in knowing a scam project but they choose to invest in project where the Dev team promises profitability.
The only way anyone can save him/herself from disappointment in crypto investment is to have good knowledge about the market.
692  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Forex trades is a part of Crypto Trade? on: April 19, 2022, 03:12:10 PM
It's simple mate. The major major difference between Crypto and forex trading is the commodity you trade on. In crypto, you trade on cryptocurrencies, or probably NFTs while you trade on fiat currency for another or crude oil, gold, etc in forex trading.
693  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you advertise your casino? on: April 19, 2022, 03:06:11 PM
I believe the most effective way to advertise your new project here is to first buy a copper membership of the forum, create an ANN thread for your project and then contact a reputable Campaign manager of the forum but I will advise you not to go for bounty campaign thats if you want to attract real crypto gamblers.
694  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: www.playcrash.com SCAM on: April 18, 2022, 10:00:39 PM
still no refunded.
The playcrash team should at least give you a time frame in which you should expect payment or the refund to be made. It does not make sense having to make someone wait, yet they have no idea of when the payment will be made.
I don't see the accused gambling site returning the OP fund cause their representative was online today and didn't care to visit this thread to update the community about the development of the accusation.
Things like this will always happen if the newbie is seized from listening to expensive advice given to them.
695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: recovery BTC on: April 18, 2022, 09:23:44 PM
Base your explanation is either you send the Bitcoin through Coinbase, Binance, or other exchange sites that allows sending of crypto through email of users that you both use the same platform.
From what I know this type of transaction is almost instant and there's nothing anyone can do here except if you contact the account owner for a refund or the exchange maybe you'll be lucky.

In the meantime, you answer this question so we can to the bottom of this. Which platform do you use to send the transaction?
696  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin's price stabilize someday? on: April 17, 2022, 07:51:37 PM
The last time I checked the exchange rate of bitcoin, it was high, it was about 17m. But yesterday I was trying to convert bitcoin to US dollar and I saw that it has drastically reduced to 16m. And I also discovered that, bitcoin was high as 24m before. So, the stability of the coin now is confusing. Nobody knows what will happen in the next months or years. But if there bis any prediction of the currency, I will still predict it to be stable at the rate of 24-7 millions per 1btc. At that stage the nations governments will respect the currency but if bitcoin price comes down to the level of the Fiat currencies, Countries' governments will disdain the currency and tramble upon it.
I do not know which nation you live in, but for the past week or even 10 days, bitcoin hasn't been good. I don't know what’s 17m, or 16m, I check it in dollar form so I only follow that. But it reached a peak of 48k for a while and now it is not anywhere near that level.

This is why I personally believe that we should not be really hoping to get a good thing out of it for the time being. Unless you had short position, you would be losing money during this period. But you could turn that into an advantage and buy even more since it is low and make a profit based on that, shouldn't be really that bad, could be making a good return from it as well.
I think the best thing to do now concerning Bitcoin investment is to accumulate or do the long since the market momentum is gaining downtrend while some altcoins are currently bullish and some people think the altcoin season has started.

Above user that's saying Bitcoin price was 17M or 16M, I think the user is either from Africa or Asia.
697  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Quarantine measures in China, Shanghai on: April 17, 2022, 04:32:35 PM
Well countries surrounding China should be happy they are adopting the zero  tolerance because if not, covid of any variant could spread once again. The Chinese are confident that way though, they are more cooperative to their government than trying to impress their neighbors that they can fight back the police or so. It may look like concentration camp but its for the best. People just have to follow what authorities are doing for it to be over.
Countries surrounding China will be happy for the Chinese government adopting zero-tolerance cause no one wants the previous spread of the virus that happened in Wuhan to repeat again but there's always a way to do something which all the country's citizens will obey the government order rather than locking people inside their homes and forcing them to take a daily test.
698  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: I may have found an multi-chain opensource wallet on: April 16, 2022, 09:20:51 PM
There are a lot of Monero mobile wallets but the problem is knowing if the wallet has no backdoor log, bug, etc. Meanwhile, there are mobile lite wallets on the Monero website and I believe they are already verified.

As I can see after visiting the link you have provided, Cake Wallet is listed on the Monero website as one of the recommended and verified ones, or, as Monero devs themselves put it, "deemed safe by respected members of the community.
Yes, the Cake wallet started as Monero only wallet before it become multi-crypto wallet. If you use it as a Monero wallet it should be good for that but the question is how good the wallet is if used as a storage for another crypto.

Moreover, Cake Wallet is considered to be better than other mobile wallets since it has local synchronization and never shares keys with nodes it connects to update its view on the state of the blockchain. Like I said previously, with this wallet it is also possible to connect to your bitcoin node, particularly your personal Electrum server, to receive transaction information, which is also a very useful feature that most mobile wallets lack nowadays.
Yes, it is a good feature but code auditing is still important.

On the other hand, if you're not technically competent enough in software development or code auditing, you don't have another choice but to trust Cake Wallet developers, who seem to be completely incompetent and inexperienced when it comes to bitcoin wallets development.
In crypto you dont just trust your holding on a stranger if you're not sure about crypto security.
699  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could hit $100,000 within a year, crypto firm's CEO predicts! on: April 15, 2022, 10:27:00 PM
I hope people won't believe take this prediction of the CEO of crypto lending firm Nexo seriously because it is something we have seen countless times before when people make a market prediction on their own beliefs which didn't play any significant role in the Bitcoin market.
Bitcoin will reach a $100K price but it is too early now.
